Dawn S This is my primary care medicine home. I love the people here and I have been coming here for over ten years. The doctors and nurse practitioners are great and the nurses are very helpful. They have someone to do the lab work on site, so that is very helpful. You rarely have to wait long to be seen once you get there and they offer plenty of resources if you need them. Their referral department is fast and helpful as well. Over all I feel very fortunate to have them as my medical care facility.

Sarah Burns Short wait, friendly staff, and I’m starting to feel much better. Thank you! I’m surprised that I found not only a convenient urgent care, also will be doing primary care there, too. It’s in such a great spot there in Alpine for those of us in the area - and across the street is Rite Aid. I would drive further to go to this office just for the care alone, but I’m glad I don’t have to. Great location!

Steve Lewis Great place! Our son had a bad fall snow boarding and took a bad fall. They tested him for the flew which has similar symptoms. He had a bacteria and they called and put a z-pac at our pharmacy, who was almost out. Couldnt be more impressed. Shelly L & Chandler L.

Daniel Ludlow I have been going to SIHC for 6-7 years now. It has always been a smooth process dealing with SIHC. I am impressed with how quickly I am seen from the time of my appointment. Usually within minutes of when I show up. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The pharmacy is great as well.

Robert Lewis Sr As a retiree, living in a small community in the mountains east of Alpine, I find this facility very convenient. Currently Im being seen at the Dental offices for some major work including tooth removals, root canals, fillings and partials. The staff are friendly and very professional. They take great care to make your experience as pain free as possible. There is also medical offices and an on-site pharmacy. Ive been very pleased with the care Ive received and can confidently recommend the Dentists at this facility as well as the pharmacy. I dont have experience with the Medical side, as they are not part of my HMO.

Samantha I think this place only hires rejects. My father-in-law was basically terminal before they figured out he had prostate cancer, and that was disovered outside of this network with Sharp. Another time he was in for diziness and generally feeling lousy from the cancer and when he started moaning in pain (unpleasant, but nothing urgent) his attending nurse looked like a deer in the headlights and had to get a more experienced nurse in the room to position him more comfortably and assure her it was not a "code blue." Now my mother-in-law is recovering from a broken hip and has dementia. She was perscribed an apetite stimulant in post acute that was actually helping her gain much needed weight. Now her physician (not her GP. It is basically impossible to see your GP here. I wouldnt be surprised is this lady died years ago kr never existed) does not want to write that Rx for reasons they will not provide us. This place will kill you with incompetence and will do so without a shred of empathy for you or your family. Go literally as far away as possible and find real doctors.

Lisa Rundle My first time here. The staff was amazing. So patient with my friend who injured her leg after falling. They were thorough and recommended additional care to make sure she got the best treatment and heals correctly.

Mike Pritchard Friendly and professional staff and Drs. They return calls, fill prescriptions on time and are great to deal with. Seems like a rarity in the medical field now a days.

Kay Dean I went into AUC with back pain. They were great! Gave me a shot for pain, and then I recieved a referral to a kidney Dr!!! I’m gonna change PC to AUC!

Shana Shapiro Courteous staff, they did not tabs my insurace from out of town and they said they took care credit but machine wasnt working to process so I was unable to be seen.... Highly recommended but local.

Mariana Carignato PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET THERE! I’m sure you can try as much as you want to find a worse place and you will fail. I don’t have enough words to describe the horrible experience, first the stitches they gave on my cat look like they were made by someone that never did stitches before it deeply hurts my eyes to look at! second they gave the cat back on the carrier with feces and pee all around (WITH THE “STITCHES”) and told me I could clean the faces and pee at home AFTER CHARGING 1029 DOLLARS!!! No animal deserves the experience to go to what they have the courage to call Country Pet Hospital unfortunately I learned the lesson in a really bad way. Will be really lucky if his cut don’t get infected again since they delivered him in really unhealthy conditions inside the carrier. I said and I will say again no matter how bad you pet look it will look worse if you take him to this “hospital” if you can even call that. They will give you bad service and overcharge you. Please someone shutdown this horrible place

Sonya Ruminski I unexpectedly found myself contacting Country Pet Hospital last week because my dog was bit by a rattle snake in our backyard. After a quick online search, I saw they were only a 5 minute drive from us. I contacted the vet right away to verify that they had the antivenin on hand - the front desk confirmed that they did and also gave me a heads up for what to expect from a pricing standpoint. Within 10 minutes of the bite taking place, we were standing in the office checking in. My dog ended up requiring 4 rounds of antivenin and was stayed at the vet from Thursday to Saturday. During her stay, I was in constant contact with the staff. Any time Dr. B recommended another round, the staff would call and get my consent. A big shout out to the entire staff for taking care of my fur baby. A special shout out to Lyn who went out of her way to comfort me and keep me updated during her shifts. She even checked in on my pup during her off days. I Im afraid to think of what outcome we would be facing if I didnt visit Country Pet Hospital. Thank you for saving my dogs life! I appreciate the transparency, communication and thoroughness by the entire team.

Jacob Goldberg Full on scammers, brought a pet that knew to have worms to get a prescription of dorantal and was almost manipulated into getting unnecessary surgery. When I express my displeasure with being lied to and ripped off I was assaulted by one of their vet tech (some leathery bat that is in need of a serious attitude adjustment). Do not go here.

Robert Lewis Sr I had to get vaccinations for my senior Schnauzer so I could take him to a groomer who required proof of rabies vaccination. They got me in within a few days of me calling. The staff were very polite and treated Rocky very well. The vet gave Rocky a thorough exam, made some recommendations, and soon, the assistant came in and gave him his shots. Also, I felt the charges were reasonable. Ill take Rocky back now that hes all cleaned up to address the issues I was told about.

Rebecca brimer My name is Rebecca Medina and let me start by saying we will never take our fur baby there again! We took our baby their on sep 24, 24 and got her allergy shot. For some reason they dont give the shots in front of you so you can see what they are giving them if they even give them the shot of what your paying for. They prescribed her 7 day of antibiotics and allergy meds a substitute for benadryl. The shot from the allergy med usually lasts my baby 2 to 3 months. Just as soon as she was done with the antibiotics the itching started again so has the smell of infection and skin breakage. There is no way they gave my baby the shots I paid for! Then to add insult to injury when I called them to tell them they said well the shot can last a minimum of 4 weeks. According to the Dr. He said it would last 2 months, but either way my baby has had the shot before and it does infact last at least 2 months. So of course she said you can bring her back but you are going to be charged an examination fee again, I asked why when this is a problem she was already seen for and you did not fix. My baby also was throwing up the allergy pill they prescribed, so I had to stop giving it to her, when I called about that and told ASHLY I gave her the pill at 11 it was now 3:30 and she threw it up and was not able to keep anything down. Ashly proceeded to call me a liar she said the pill would have already been digested. You think by her knowing that she would know there was a problem, but no she kept telling me I was lieing, when I told her I have the picture of it she hung up. I WILL NEVER TAKE MY BABY THERE AGAIN this was all from one visit my baby is traumatized now from going places, they did not infact give her the medication they charged me for and the medication they gave made her worse than she was. We are reporting this to the BBB also Im reporting this to the vetinary medical board CA GOV BREEZE. Nobody she subject their baby to this or themselves. Ashly is very unprofessional and should be replaced does not care about our pets it just a job to her. The hospitol should be investigated.

Cassy Hernandez I had surgery on October 30th and had a very good experience. All the medical staff were very nice and answered all my questions. Dr. Benavides was my doctor and was very professional and wonderful.

Elise Nickle I’m pregnant and was having some odd symptoms while on vacation near Big Bend. We got things checked out just in case, and I have never had a better medical experience in my life. Dr. Ruiz and his team (specifically, nurse Kathy) were phenomenal. So kind, fast, and personable. Highly recommend this facility!

John Holcomb I was on a hike behind Sol Ross and fell in the rocks. I was bleeding a lot and finally made back down and then to emergency at Big Bend Regional Medical Center. I have never had better service in an Emergency Room at any hospital. I would like to personally thank Cassie in reception, Carrie, my nurse, Dr Hays, Katie who charged my phone and Chuks my night nurse. Dr Hays was extremely interested in my wellbeing every minute I was there. Carrie and Chuks took care of me like they would for their families. Cassie got me into a room and came to me to get the paperwork finished. I want to commend them all. I don’t like having to get help in an Emergency Room but the care I received was second to none!!!

Robert Nelson I needed x-rays and an orthopedic appointment. The registration team was great and the radiology staff were great too! Dr. Vande-Lune was awesome and my knee feels great now after seeing him! Thank you so much !!

Diana Lang I went in for a couple appointment and had a handful of experience with different people and was pleasantly surprised with the overall atmosphere in this space. I talked to one of the nurses and she mentioned really liking working there herself. I appreciate where a business takes care of their employees which in then allows them capacity to take care of their clients. Thank you for that overall care. It is see and very much appreciated. The only thing is that I wished I grabbed the names of everyone I spoke to but it was seriously everyone from receptionist to Dr.Dube. Thank you again!

Leanna Mckay Overall bad experience with the doctors and the receptionist. They don’t return phone calls or don’t ever reply to messages you leave for your provider. Dr Wiley told me to call back if my sleep still wasn’t improving after I went up in my medication dose and I’ve been trying to get a message or a reply back from him for 3 days. I had an over the phone appointment early this morning and it got canceled because they were behind… it’s not fair being a patient and not being taken care of properly. Poor service

Robert Lewis Sr See UPDATE below. Have had mixed, mostly positive experiences over many visits. I recently changed doctors because I felt I wasnt being listened to. My new doctor is great! I couldnt be happier with the staff and the care Im receiving. UPDATE:7/30/24 I changed my review of San Ysidro Health Care in Alpine, from 4 to 5 stars. Ive been receiving awesome care from the best doctor I can remember ever having. Dr. Van Hollebeke is very knowledgeable, a patient listener, quite thorough, and has gone way beyond my expectations during every office visit or phone appointment. Also, I cant say enough about how thoughtful and caring the nurses and everyone Ive encountered during the past couple of years have been. I can only imagine if there are other Doctors at this location, theyre more than likely awesome as well!

Donley Wilson Ive been going to the Alpine location for over a year and the El Cajon location several times. Always helpful Always professional and their support services vast. They constantly are contacting me with additional services and assignment with personal care advocates. Never gave a well get back to you. I call and they walk me through the process including transferring to the appropriate dept. And immediately follow up making sure I was taken care of. Actually kind of overwhelming. Never had a health care provider so totaly concerned and do as they promised. And the amount of services including chiropractic, vision, dental. Not to mention behavioral mental services. All under one roof. More services added regularly. Crazy I believe they may actually make me well.. Thank you

T Walker Dr Cota is an awful DR. Ive never been to a doctor who doesnt pay attention or care what their patient is saying. Not only does he ignore his patients concerns and requests, he doesnt even remember if hes met you before. Cant count the number of times hes said "have we met?" the receptionists are extremely rude when trying to schedule or reschedule an appt. There is one male receptionists that is terribly rude, Im surprised he hasnt been fired. Go here if you want poor doctor care, lack or respect, and want to wait an hr and half for your appt you had scheduled a month in advance.

Cari Conant This isnt health care!!!! Its just a shadow of what health care should be. Ive been a patient here for a couple of years and every visit gets progressively worse. Reception barely acknowledge your pressence. Then when they do its short and rude without ever looking directly at you. They set an appointment with me for labs, NPO. Then refuse to honor the appointment the day of because I hadnt been seen by the doctor in six months...so I have to drive an hour away just to get a blood draw. .it just absurd. We arent seen as people!!! We are just government fund generators!!!

Courtney Allen DO NOT GO HERE! First off my original primary Bianca told me I was “too young” to have any issues when I had an unknown mass in my leg and used google images to compare my throat size to others on google when I had a choking issue. Very unprofessional! Second they rescheduled my appointment FOUR times and don’t call you until an hour before so there is no way to rearrange your life schedule. The last time they rescheduled they informed me that the appointment was made with a physician that is untrained to handle my appointment! When I asked them why they would even schedule an appointment with an untrained physician in the first place they had no sympathy at all for the inconvenience THEY had caused! Very unprofessional, uneducated and unfit to be in business!

Cameron Heath Alpine health DOES NOT care!!! Endless hassles with this place! The facility is dirty, have seen dried blood splatters on the exam table, they repeatedly failed to authorize prescriptions, follow up on referrals, or inform me of test results. On my last visit, I had to wait almost 2 hours past my appointment time. Just before the doctor finally entered the room, I heard him talking to the lab guy in the hall, letting him go home a bit early. The doctor then came in to the room and told me that they couldnt perform the blood test I had come in for, because the lab guy had gone home. He said I had to come back another day. I had taken time off work, to make the hour long drive from my home, for this appointment. Absolutely absurd!! They are not polite, not professional, and they have proved time and again that they care nothing for their patients!!! Avoid this horrible place filled with horrible people!

Michael B DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!!!! Hello, The people that work here are RUDE! I called in and made a Doctor Appointment. I told them what medical insurance i have. They told me that they take it and, made me an appointment. I showed up for my appointment 45 min early just like they asked me to. I filled out all of their paper work they gave me about 6 pages. I turned all of the paperwork back in to them, I then took a seat waiting to be called. they called me up to tell me that they have 2 new people and they messed up they do not take my insurance. They then told me that i could pay cash for the appointment and, it would be $150.00.
