Julia Drobish Tracy had me hooked from the first time I came in because she is not only extremely talented, timely, accommodating, and responsive, but she is so much fun to talk with. In the handful of sessions I have done with her, we have established an awesome relationship and I always joke it’s a hair appointment and therapy rolled into one. I can tell she truly cares about her clients and puts a lot of effort in to make them feel cared about. I am in school nearby from out of state and I was desperately in need of a hairdresser here and Tracy is a dream come true! Her prices are beyond reasonable and she takes payment in invoices if someone else helps pay for your appointments. I told all of my friends about Tracy and now she sees the majority of my roommates! If I could give 10 stars, I would.

PJ Scrippts I went to see Tracy because of the rave reviews and I was not disappointed. I am in agreement with the other people who said she is the best hair colorist in Santa Barbara. I have been to several other hair salons in Santa Barbara and all were just so so until I saw Tracy. My blonde balayage/highlights are so beautiful and natural. Cut is also great. Her prices were very reasonable as well. For such an impressive color I expected high prices but I was so impressed with her fair rates.

I had originally gone to another stylist who did my extensions and the color didnt even match my own hair color. I found Tami at Talk of the Town and took and chance and she completely blew my expectations. I was nervous to give it a try again but Im so glad that I did. Super conscientious about getting back to you & getting you in. I go in for my color which is always great but today booked a quick haircut and she completely accommodated me by letting me leave without the blow-out and discounted it off which is incredibly helpful because I dont need the blow-out (my hair is up all day for work) and it makes it into an affordable luxury which I love. Everyone at the salon is friendly and sociable and you always feel like youre part of the Salt fam. Its a new gem in town and the salon has a unique feel with super modern & clean minimal set-ups which actually make a lot more sense than the tried and true stations that most salons op for; I love their re-imagining of what a salon station should be - its great. Free waters and drinks while youre there and its easy to get in quickly. Great spot - give it a try!

Vera is a true artist (maybe magician, in my case!) with scissors. :-) The entire staff is friendly, and the salon is clean, easily accessible on Calle Real near Fairview, and there is ample parking in the shopping center lot. Beauty Salon V is truly one of the best finds I made when I moved to Santa Barbara.

Janna Crocker Ive been going to the Edge 805 for undercuts for a year now and every time I go Im amazed by the cut! I get a freestyle design each time and show my stylist Xanthia an image and she does an incredible job of replicating that in my hair. I love getting such intricate undercuts at this shop and always get so many compliments about the design. I also get the longer parts of my hair cut here and its a super relaxing experience as well. If you want to go for an adventurous undercut or are just looking for a trim, I cant recommend this shop enough!

Princess Puddin My last haircut was in 2015.. I had been wearing hair extensions for several years so I never felt the need to cut it. For the last few months, I had been wanting to have my hair colored and of course I knew I was long overdue for a cut... I was referred to Emilyne, for cut and color. I wont lie to you, I was anxious, and nervous at the same time. I myself know how picky I am, and I also have hair trauma from years ago. I put that aside, and went with the referral. I reached out to her, sent her photos of what l wanted, and she was able to get me in the same day, which I thought was very kind. I already knew that meant she was going to be working very late that evening. When I arrived for my appointment, she was very personable, and very warm. We had a brief consultation, we spoke about the cut and the color and I of course showed photos once again. While I was in the chair, it felt very comfortable. There were a few others working as well, and everyone was very friendly. They offered me refreshments, they offered me popcorn, and it was nice to just be able to relax and watch a movie they had playing on the TV. One thing ! noticed that I really loved was all the teamwork. Its really refreshing and nice to see that positive energy in a workplace amongst colleagues. After Emilyne cut my hair, she then proceeded to do a full weave. While I was processing, she was very engaged and asking me about my time in Santa Barbara, what I did for work, and my family, It was nice that she cared to ask. Once I was finished processing, she put a toner and let that process for about 30 minutes. She then took me back to the shampoo, bowl and washed and conditioned my hair, which was lovely. Back to the chair I went for my blow dry and style. As she was curling my hair. One of the curls dropped down to my face, and I got a glimpse of the color and I was so excited I couldnt wait to see the whole thing. When she turned me around, tears fell from my eyes. I couldnt believe how beautiful my hair looked, and how everything I asked for was achieved by her. She is nothing short of talented, a true artist. It has now been a week since I had my appointment. I get stopped at least 2 to 3 times a day with compliments in regards to my hair. Many people have said its the best theyve ever seen my hair look. If youre looking for a professional establishment that does quality work I recommend booking an appointment at The Edge.. The owner is also incredibly knowledgeable and talented. Prices are competitive.

Jeremy Miller I needed a last-minute haircut in town for a funeral, and they were able to fit me in immediately. Julio did an excellent job on the haircut and trimming my beard. I was really satisfied with the results and his attention to detail. He and Melissa were both kind and caring people, and made it a great experience. I cant recommend this place enough.

Alexia Mendoza David is the best! First off he’s really polite and asks if I would like water, tea, or coffee. When my drink is almost gone he asks if I want another. Great customer service! Another thing is he asks me what I want done with my hair and what my goal is. I brought him examples and let me know if it could be done or not. He suggested what you see below and we went as light as possible for my hair color. He did an amazing job! As you can see the colors blend nicely! Wow! Totally going back to David!

I was aiming for an Asian undercut. After trying out with SEVEN barbers and hairstylist-----I can confidently say that with Amanda my hunt is over and I am VERY happy with my hair! I have referred already four people to Amanda of varying lengths, and they all love her as well! She is also very well loved by all of the UCSB students, especially the international students. Chenfang Qi Mae was my stylist and she provided amazing service. I got a normal haircut with shampoo. I wasnt sure if I wanted long vs short layers, so she just cut off a small amount at first, then had me look to see if I wanted adjustments. Great experience, definitely get your hair done here!

My hairdresser Emily understood exactly what I was asking for (blonde Billie Eilish with a dark shadow root), but because of previous hair damage (at home bleaching, box dye etc.) she did warn me of the potential problems that might arise, going from brown to platinum in one session. However the hair turned out better than I could have hoped for. It was absolutely amazing! Emily was fantastic and reassuring during the whole process and walked me through everything she did. Everyone in the salon is so friendly and works so well together, towards the end of my appointment Mae helped out with my hair too. Mae gives a fantastic head massage during the shampooing process! I would definitely recommend coming here for going Blonde!!! Emily will make sure your hair is healthy and beautiful!!

TJJ Manetain offers a welcoming and enjoyable haircutting experience. I dropped in on Manetain on a weekday without an appointment. Ines was able to take me right away. My hair style is pretty simple, so Ines trimmed me up quick and I was on my way. The shop is bright, clean and welcoming. Ines was super friendly and did a great job. I will return to Manetain next time I’m in the area.

Highly recommend not only for kids but also for shaves, fades and haircuts on adults. I’ve been getting may haircut from Ines at another shop in town for years and I’m happy to see she opened her own shop! Congrats and I’ll be coming in often for me and my kids cuts.

Daniel Means Got a decent cut here from the second barber from the window. My complaint is about the finishing with a straight edge razor. Two things happened, first the barber gave me a good cut on a mole I have on my face, there was some blood. Thats understandable, mistakes happen. The bigger issue was that the straight edge razor was extremely dull, leaving me with small cuts all around my hairline. With all the health scares going on, using the same dull blade and giving cuts to several people a day isnt cool.

Kenny Standhardt 30 minutes past appointment time. No acknowledgement when I arrived even when it was just myself her current client,and myself. No apologies.She had great difficulty understanding the cut I wanted even with provided picture. It was a basic cut just different than my usual. Couldnt find my monthly $20+ account and then charged me the full price. Again no apologies. Wont return or recommend to anyone.
