kush Kush This cracked up set of nails was so thin at the bottom Ive had a loud painful, ugly couple weeks for both hands! I told her one was see through at the bottom and she said its on purpose just bsing. They do it super quick n not relaxing. Otherwise, used to like this place. This is my second time issue, and she should respond when I send her the problem its frustrating, rude and unprofessional. I guess my sets arent expensive and fancy enough for her to really care.

Josh & Carrie Brook I have been going to Cecelia’s for many many years. She is the best! She’s so sweet and so nice. When my hair was damaged she took the time to show me how short it would need to be in order to grow back healthy. I trust her completely with my hair and I have had many styles over the years from long cuts to short cuts and perms. Sometimes I have gone to her and said I don’t know what I want so I’m giving you free reign and I LOVE my new look every time. Her work is worth every amount that I spend. John Arellano Had an appointment set up with Jordan “the owner” for a Saturday, even set it up five days in advance. Was going on vacation the following Monday so wanted to look extra crispy. 30 min before the appointment I get a notice saying it was cancelled. If that what kind of customer service the head of shop gives I’d hate to see how the tail is. Will not be booking with them again.

Told em I want to combover my hair when it grows out, and he was good with it and then he asked where I had my haircut last and it was at a barbershop in Vallejo & he said man they messed you up lol but now it wont be messed up anymore. Highly recommend just make an appointment in advance, Ive been lazy to do it but I gotta start doing it so I dont rush to crop barbershops looking like trash.

Enilorac G. I’ve been going to Polly for about 15 years now way before she had her own Hair Salon business. She’s the only hairdresser that knows how to cut my long hair layered the way I wanted it. Last week, I wanted to cut my hair really short. I showed her a photo of a bob cut. Polly gave me a haircut that even looks much better than the photo I showed her. My new haircut looks like an inverted choppy bob cut and I loooooove it. All my co-workers and friends complimented me. My new hair cut looks good straight and looks even better when I curl my hair. Lez Sense salon understands my needs even when I dont. I have had my hair colored hair , my eyelashes permed. One day I decided to scrub my face with the magic eraser to exfoliate it. And I went to the salon to get my hair color and my face was red on fire. I meant it was burning. One of the ladies took me to the wash station and draped a cool towel over my Face . She did not charge me and I felt bad so I kept trying to get up. But she said no just relax this will make you feel better. It was all free of charge and I was so thankful over the course of an hour it finally stopped burning and my face was no longer red she was very helpful and kind and I just love this place. everybody There is always so helpful and so kind.

Bronwen Johnson Polly and her staff are very friendly. They dont rush you out the door. Polly took great care and detail in creating the most beautiful hair style for my face. She is good at listening and if you have a suggestion that she feels wont work or turn out will on Hoyt hair she will come up with the best alternative. I coffee here from Marin County to get my hair done. I get a great cut, color, high lights for a much lowered price than in Marin. This time I got A Brazilian Blow Out for 1/2 the price as in Marin county. I love Sense Salon!

ANGELA CABADA I scheduled a hair cut; arrived 15 minutes early. One of the ladies while cutting another customer hair greeted me; shared that I had a a hair cut appoint; she told me to have a seat. Waited for awhile; then, a stylish approached me and told me that she was running late, I asked for her name, indeed it was the stylish scheduled for my service. She stated that probably 2-3 hours. I asked to give me a call when she was available, provided my phone number. The call never arrived.

Lila R I always go there to get my hair cut. Last time I called 4 days in advance to get an appointment. On my appointment date my chosen stylist was not there so another stylist contacted her and told me she was on her way. I waited for 30 to find out that my stylist wasn’t coming. I understand people get sick or have other reasons to not show but don’t tell me one thing and then tell me another.They should be mindful and responsible specially if there is an appointment made ahead of time. I will not come back there.

Ahnjaelee This locally owned beauty salon located at Vallejo Plaza Shopping center. Appointments and walk are also welcome. My mom had microshading ombre brows for a decent price, my daughter also had her first ever haircut. I also had mine done here and I highly recommend this salon. The owner, Ann, is very nice and accommodating . Great skills doing hair and brows with flexible schedule.

Ashneel Kumar I got my hair colored. It was the worst service. She let me walk out with color in my ear. I wanted natural dark drown and she colored black. My shirt got all wet. I was charged too much for what I recieved.received. they also need to clean. BTW ulta is cheaper and better service.

Terrie Arnold Ann and her aunt are the only 2 people Ill trust to cut my hair! Im 67 and very active. My hair is baby-fine and over the years has thinned. Somehow, these women are able to sculpt and shape it to give the appearance of a thicker head of hair! My eyebrows are blonde and also thinned over time. 4 years ago I had Ann microblade my brows, and - Im not kidding - it was one of the best decisions Ive ever made! Shes such a pro. She showed me a few different shapes & shades and helped me decide on the best look. Ever since, people have commented on how much younger I appear. Were so fortunate these 2 women are here in Vallejo!

Jodie Campbell I really enjoy getting my haircut at this establishment. Christy is wonderful and always available when I need to come in. She does a great haircut and her prices are quite reasonable. Some people may be put off by the shop especially if theyre used to going into other salons where everything is super modern and tidy. But to be honest some of those places also a really overcharge customers for a haircut. Often times the haircuts at other establishments like that your charge for the " fluff" or glitz and glamour of the place. I usually went to Aveda salons and I did that for many many years and it cost me dearly to do this. At the beginning the first 20 years or maybe a little less The prices with Aveda were reasonable and I always got a good haircut but since they moved to California 16 years ago I feel like the Aveda stylist that Ive encountered the last 7 years have really not done all that great of a job but yet charged me an arm and a leg. As much as I hate to admit it I sometimes spent way more than I needed to and didnt always get a great cut. But so far Ive had my haircut I think three times by Christy at y2k and have not been disappointed.

Kierra Madison Gabbie braided my hair. She’s very unprofessional Gave me children braids. No where near the picture I provided. She told me because of my I hair couldn’t achieve that style. This was after the fact of me complaining about my braids lifting 3 days later. As a professional if you can’t do a style. I’d expect you to tell me instead of lying doing my hair and me being unsatisfied. She was on the phone almost the whole braiding process which was over 4 hours to do 19 braids. Owner Danielle is unprofessional as well. I called to complain and receive a refund I was told I would receive a call back never got one. I had to keep calling to end up being told I’d have to be refunded directly from Gabbie. No license at all seen on any wall HORRIBLE ESTABLISHMENT

Brandy Walker Please do not go to Location 2 and book an appointment with Darrielle Johnson AKA Ms. Darrie. The first RED FLAG, she told me to bring my own hair and beads. I informed her that my daughter previously had an appointment with Trice at Location 1 and I wasnt required to bring hair or beads. She replied "I am out of hair and beads." Ok, no problem! (Trice was VERY PROFESSIONAL, ON TIME AND EXCELLENT, Location 1.) I woke up EARLY, went to the Beauty Supply Store, got the hair and beads. I arrived 30 minutes early just to ensure that I am ON TIME considering I dont live in Vallejo and as previously stated, had to stop at a Beauty Supply Store. At approximately 15 minutes before my daughters appointment I get a text message from Ms. Darrie stating that she doubled booked my appointment. Why wait 15 minutes until the appointment time, have me take off work and drive all the way to Vallejo? Totally inconsiderate and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Then, there was an older lady sitting in her car waiting with her granddaughter. She stated that her appointment was at 9:00 a.m. and added that she had a similar issue last time. It is so sad how unprofessional some stylists can be. All you have is your reputation. It doesnt matter how SKILLED you are if you LACK PROFESSIONALISM. Clearly, Ms. Darrie missed the mark. I repeat DO NOT BOOK WITH HER. I wasted hours driving, time, gas and energy. I am very disappointed to say the least. Please do better.

Khaledah White Gabbie has braided my grand baby’s hair for about 3 years. I’ve booked a few other braiders before and they were great to work with as well… And the shop is very kid friendly. They have toys, Netflix movies and the kids receive a prize after getting their hair completed. Gabbie always does a neat job and makes my grand baby feel special and pretty. Love this shop!

Raven Johnson My car was almost broken into while I was parked in front of the salon waiting for my daughters hair to get done. It’s not a great area for a kids salon. Took the girl 8 hours to do my daughters hair. Very unsafe area to bring your kids . No reason to complain to the owner cuz she just as rude . This place won’t be up for very much longer . There rude only want money don’t care about the customer it’s all a fake . Overpriced for how long it takes them. They charge adult prices for kids. Then I paid 5$ for a pack of hair and didn’t even get the hair that was left over there pocketing that money not even opening full packs of hair . DO NOT GO HERE ITS NOT WORTH IT.

Sir Jones 78 My mother in law needed a wig. Here you are allowed to try on 2 wigs. Thats good considering other places wont let you try on since covid. This is a large store with lots of inventory. Lastly, the workers/owners are great to deal with very nice and polite.

Alicia Greenwood I really like this Beauty supply house! It’s the only one I go to. They truly make you feel welcome, Rhicko is always nice and willing to help you with whatever you need. There’s always someone on the floor to help you with whatever your looking for. It’s the #1 Supply house in Vallejo, in my opinion.

Orubaru I have been coming to this Beaty supply since I was a kid. No matter what city my family ended up moving to we would drive all the to Vallejo to buy hair from this very shop. Even up until now. It honestly breaks my heart that I’m even writing this because I used to love this place, until recently. A few weeks ago I went in in to buy some supplies for my wigs that I make. Just two days prior I misplaced my debit card so I froze it on my banking app. I found my card but completely forgot to unfreeze it, so when I got up to the register the transaction came back as restricted. Before I could even get the chance to process what that meant The woman who was ringing me up (one of the OWNERS) rudely and loudly said, “I don’t know what that means.. Did you STEAL it?” My heart dropped. I just stood there and said wow was I went into my app and simply unfroze my card. In all my years of coming here I would’ve never expected that. There were people in line behind me who could hear the nonsense she said to me. And I’ve worked in customer service for plenty of years to know you neverrrr ask a customer a dumb, backhanded question like that even if you were thinking it. That would be unbecoming of a cashier let alone a store owner. I unfroze my card and my transaction went through as a different cashier took over because she acted like I was wasting her time, so once it went through I made sure to announce to her and everyone who heard her rude antics that the transaction went through and MY card wasn’t stolen. Very unprofessional. And I will be taking my “stolen” money elsewhere. They’ve lost a lifetime customer.

Traci Chidale is my girl! Ive been rocking with her for over 10 years now. She took care of my 1st set of Locs; brought them back after I had gone thru Chemotherapy, different types of surgeries, & even medications. This is my 2nd generation of locs. She started this set & once again, she rocks! My head is loyal to her skills. In fact, Ive followed her & will continue to. Ill NEVER go back to chemical dos! All Natural from way back.

Amanda Adkins Not for the makeup newbie. If you dont know what you want exactly there is very little help finding anything. If you can get someone to help you they steer you to the most expensive products with the reason that there are no testers available for the other products. If you do decide to buy anything guard your receipt with your life or sign up for a membership because there are no returns unless they can track you, no matter how small the purchase.

Laura Mitchell I went into Ulta, Vallejo today in search of a remedy for an oily scalp. I didn’t get her name, but the lovely lady in the salon in the back of the store was very nice and helpful. She obtained several recommendations from a coworker over the radio for me and left me to make my own decisions given the options I now had. I took my selections to the cash register and asked the cashier, Teresa, for a second opinion on my selections. Not only does she herself deal with an oily scalp, but she’s an esthetician too, so she fine tuned my selections for what would be best, going to the back of the store store for me several times. She went above and beyond and explained the reasons why each product would be better than the other. Amazing service from everyone I dealt with…especially Teresa!

This time I got followed around it’s very uncomfortable. I went up to pay for my things and they asked to see my baby’s diaper bag insisting that I was stealing as I came up to pay for my things. I never even got the chance to put my things up in the counter to purchase they cornered me and my son demanding to see my baby’s diaper bag.
