Gopichand Bommineni Amazing park with great facilities. I havent seen a park like this in Melbourne before. I especially liked the little bookshelf here. As a cricket fan, I had the chance to read about Steve Waugh and his World Cup moments.

RagingGlory I absolutely adore walking this path, and have for years since I was a teenager. One of the highlights of my life was meeting a juvenile fox near Afton St Bridge in winter 2024 — he was chasing after joggers and I thought I’d see if I could distract him from the worried bystanders. To my surprise, he was not only curious but friendly and we had a bit of a play and adventure, checking out palm fronds and coffee cups and checking out the water’s edge. I was already a huge fan of the river and the beautiful sunsets but now walking this path reminds me of the incredible evening I shared with my friend the fox.

Lauren Vardy Fabulous park, the kids spent over 2 hours playing and then I had to tear them away. There are toilets (exeloo, in reasonably good condition), water taps, bench seats, i think covered picnic tables, a second playground with lots of climbing equipment etc, and even a little local library. Great place to spend a sunny afternoon by the river.

John Gooey Great circuit walk around the river, with playground including pirate boat for the kids, gas BBQs and sheltered picnic tables. Clean public toilets. Off-leash dog park area for your fur babies to run free.
