Sam One of the Receptionist named Alicia that works here has done a horrible job!!! Every time I’ve called to make an appointment for my grandmother, she never contact the right primary doctor nor does she notifed the doctor about the appointment. I’ve gone twice and was refused entry on the days I had appointments because they were closed. They didn’t let me know ahead of time and they could’ve rescheduled me for another day. Don’t recommend anyone come here nor does the Receptionist Alicia should be fired for her behavior and unprofessionalism. I hope no one has had this happened to them.

GUTIERREZ CASILLAS My Doctor for 26 years, the best doctor in the whole world. The girls are beautiful and professional. Same day appointments, I love this Dr and all of his staff! Alicia is dedicated to her work and makes sure the patients are well taken care of

Alyce Hunter Reading the reviews and I’ve been a patient at this doctor for years now. The staff is very friendly and caring. Nice ladies all 3 of them from Alicia to the other two younger girls. They’ve helped me through so much throughout the years. Dr. Nguyen is such a good doctor and so nice as well. I give them 5 stars because I’ve been with them for at least 7yrs and I have not once had any issue with them. Even my grandmother whom lives out of state when she comes down to visit if she is sick she goes to them. Great doctors office all around from staff to getting down to what’s wrong with you. I highly would recommend this doctor if I didn’t have Kaiser from my new job I would deff stay at this doctors office without a doubt!

Abby Ramirez I’ve been seeing Dr. Khoi since my childhood. He’s a very experienced doctor who has thoroughly examined and treated my symptoms. The staff is also attentive and has accepted me with or without insurance and as a walk-in or scheduled appointment. Their new office location is just as clean, sanitized, and organized.

Blanca Cruz We have been going to this doctor for a while now. My sister recently got sick I took her in and all was great but the staff is extremely rude. Today I took my mother in. Usually they’ll take you in with out appointments , but doctor had some appointments set up .that’s understandable. What is not understandable is that rude ass lady .! She probably has been there for years. If you don’t like your job then get one you do. People are coming here because they have a problem or don’t feel well. This lady makes people feel worse. (Dark hair , mid 40s )Sometimes they’ll greet you & most of time they’ll be plain rude. The doctor is okay . Most definitely will not be coming here anymore. Last time. I would rate is at 0 stars , but hey not all of us are as bad.

Patricia Lovato My son should have started physical therapy three weeks ago but no one in the office can seem to handle the paperwork.
I just called again and they lost the order. This is the same order they forgot to put in three weeks ago.
The worst part of THEY made me feel like a horrible mom because my son hadn’t started PT. Then the nurse came back in very sheepish and said oh haha we didn’t put the order in. We will call within a week with his appointment.
It’s been ten days. Orders are lost again. Still no appointment
This place needs help

Andres Hernandez Do not recieve care here. If I could rate zero I would. While the doctors are okay, supporting staff and the office can improve a lot with their customer care and thoroughness. They will make repetitive errors even while on the phone with you, which leads me to believe they overlook available dates for appointments and confuse patient records etc. Doctors are terrible at responding on the patient portal and wont even acknowledge you. If you want a real relationship with your provider this is not the place. Looking for an appointment asap? That will be at least a month and a half out so youll have to go to urgent care and spend an arm and a leg. Been coming here annually since 2016 but its been a year since Ive stopped by for a checkup and now theyre saying Im a new patient? Its a nightmare here and its been a pretty consistent story for everyone else I know that goes here too. Do not come here especially if youre LGBT or a racial minority. They are NOT thorough and will not order the correct blood-work or labs to meet your specific needs. I had a traumatic experience with the older lead male phlebotomist who told me he wanted to ram through me and a crowd of protestor with his truck all because I was wearing a Bernie shirt and vials of blood were leaving my body. Barely made an effort to keep me awake and call for help when I was fainting from anxiety and had a low-key panic attack because of the things he was saying to me, unprovoked. Furthermore, I emailed the clinic and management many times and never recieved a word back and tried scheduling me with this specific person multiple times after I made it clear what had happened. A pregnant friend of mine who is also Mexican was made to feel judged and uncomfortable when she went in for a blood-draw from the same person. If you care about your sanity and your time do yourself a favor and go recieve care elsewhere. They do not care about us or care to work around the obstacles that get in the way them providing better care!

tara sadeghian Do not choose this medical center. I’m a Diabetic patient. My endocrinologist is Dr Joseph Pinzone. I ran out of my test strips( the most basic medical supply for Diabetes). It’s been 10 days now that I keep calling and calling explaining how critical this supply is. I still haven’t got my test strips! Don’t choose them unless you wanna end up admitting to a hospital

Michael Lang This place is very unprofessional they never call for a confirmation of my appointment and I had made an initial appointment back in October. Not once did they call/text or email after I called to make sure they had my contact information can you imagine if elderly people who need help have the same issue or people with a disability...and new patients wont be seen till Months later..its no wonder they cant call people back they just forget about them.

Daniel I am a 65 year old male on blood pressure medication and have been for 5 years. On the 1st of July I started requesting a refill for my medication to control my blood pressure its now the 11th of July and Ive been out of my medication for 4 days. My pharmacy has contacted them every day since the 1st, I have contacted them six times and talked with their customer service people. They have promised me a refill by the afternoon and have dropped the ball every single time. Today I will have to go to the emergency room or a quick Care to get my blood pressure medication renewed. I will never go back to their clinic again. My advice to you, stay well away from magnolia. By the way, as a side note, another medication that they did refill and sent to a pharmacy 1500 miles away from me .

Kaylee Gaytan Ive been coming here for years for myself and my children. Im really sad to say that the level of patient care has gone down so bad that I am sitting in my car in the parking lot in pain and leaving without a treatment plan. The doctor wouldnt even see me. She called from the other room because I have a little cold even though I tested NEGATIVE for covid. My nurse also had a cold.
Doctor Carlsile was my familys primary care physician for about 10 years, and she was AMAZING. She really cared about her patients. I think that after she left is when this place started going downhill.

Nancy Reinhart Buenrostro While the doctors are excellent, no one answers the phone here. As a patient, I can never get through. They have a problem with their phone options circling around with no one answering and returning to the beginning. I have told the receptionist, office manager, doctors, and even called the corporate owners. They don’t care! Look at Yelp for similar reviews.

Taryn Beckett I figured I would write this review after receiving an automated email to detail my experience on their internal platform.
Dr. Donald Miller was very nice and knowledgeable. He pointed me in the proper direction regarding the health issues I am having.
An employee there named Daisy however ( unsure if she is an RN or Assistant ,etc) is my only complaint about this visit.
Perhaps Daily was simply having a bad day (which we are all afforded in life) . If not, she should not be working as a healthcare leader, or as a health care representative who deals with people at all. I approached Daisy with a very friendly demeanor.. asking 1 simple question about lab work and when to get my labs taken. ( This stuff can be confusing, can it not?) For some reason, Daisy could not hide her annoyance with my curiosity about where and when to go.
The vetting process in health care agencies need to be at the highest standard. I would never go to a facility like this with an employee like this- as I should never be scared to inquire on the best steps to take for my health. I really despite leaving google reviews- but in this industry, it is appalling to be met with disdain, especially when you are simply approaching a healthcare professional with a friendly demeanor and question. As a Chief Operating Officer and leader of a company myself, too often a bad apple like this will ruin a businesses reputation. Hopefully she was just having a bad day!

Emily Romero I recently saw Dr.Magee at midtown clinic, she had explained to me in depth what goes on with the body and how she was going to be able to help me. I haven’t encountered a doctor like her ! She was the best at what she did , i told her she is a magician! My back pain has been very debilitating for me and she was able to help me just with one visit for therapy. I appreciate her & the staff at midtown!

Maryan Southam Actual doctors visits have been fine to excellent and I have found the women, who answer the phone and put one on hold, to be polite and generally helpful. But this morning I was referred over the phone to someone who was really rude and angry (possibly a nurse) who, was not very helpful and not at all kind, dismissed me by saying she would put me "in the bucket". Is that a way to talk to patients who are trying to just get some help?

Jennifer Wilson I have tried hard to work with the team here, meeting twice with the office manager and documenting my concerns, in writing, over incredibly long hold times and multiple medication mishaps. Twice I needed medication that was not filled or refilled in a timely manner. The pharmacy sent an electronic reminder and faxed a switch to the medication the doctor prescribed (not a prior auth). No one at the office reviewed the fax. I had no medication over the weekend with active pneumonia (I also called the office on Friday asking for the medication order to be prioritized). The only way I was able to get attention was to go to the office, Monday am, and beg to be seen, beg for my medication to the back up office manager.
The second instance the doctor was alerted by the pharmacy that my prescription needed a refill, it took 8 days for the refill by the doctor, even when the medical assistance told me she added an urgent reminder for the doctor and refill. I called the back office staff for help and was told no other doctor could act as a stand-in to refill the medication.

Jorion Wood Absolute gross incompetence and impoliteness. My doctor has been faxing over a referral every day for over a month. I either get told that someone is looking at my case and they aren’t in today, my referall hasn’t showed up yet or they need information from a third party that I have never even utilized. It’s really simple.
Step 1: doctor sends referall to the orthopedic department.
Step 2: you make an appointment.
Step 3: you show up to appointment and do what needs to be done.
I am not kidding, this garbage medical center can’t piece these three steps together, and yes, my doctor has been faxing the proper number.
I can’t help but wonder if this medical center is intended for street tweakers and lawsuit people who don’t actually want anything taken care of. You would think that they would be tired of hearing from me multiple times a day but maybe it’s fun to mess with the heads of patients at this place. The 3.0 rating is laughable, considering more than half of them are obviously midtown medical giving themselves positive reviews.

Sarah Millikin DO NOT GO HERE FOR MENTAL HEALTH CARE
“Dr.” Daniel J Firer was horrid to work with. His actions were abhorrent. I went in for 3 medication refills. I was put in the hallway on a gurney, mind you it was not busy. I came in for 3 medications. I handed him my entire medical records files and showed him the prescription bottles that I needed refilled.
He didn’t ask me my mental health condition, or anything actually. For one of the medications he said that “he wasn’t comfortable” prescribing a 2 week supply of an anti-depressant SARI, Which is a NON controlled substance. He handed back my file, without reading a word of it. He put it in my hand and I let it slip out. I didn’t know what to do. I asked to see the on call psychiatrist. There isn’t one there. Even though mental health is medical care.
I was taken aback. I showed him the other 2 medications. I questioned him on why he wouldn’t fill the first one. I started to have a panic attack. I said that I wanted to leave and what did I need to do to finish up to get the scripts. He said “well, I’m at your service” and left.
He came back and handed me back the bottles. He called them in to a pharmacy but he didn’t tell me which one. I asked him if he even knew my diagnosis. He cut me off and said that I was unprofessional, that he refuses to be talked to me further. I’m the patient, he’s the Dr. I’m not the one who needs to be professional. I was needing medical care and denied it.
We had a 2 minute conversation. I didn’t raise my voice, I didn’t call names or curse. I questioned him. Period.
DO NOT GO HERE.

S Gomez They should not be allowed to make you feel like a criminal by walking through security and having your bags searched. If this is an issue of safety they need to have this type of protection for schools, not hospitals. They will not take you if you refuse to scan through which is a lawsuit in itself for refusing medical treatment. You are automatically considered guilty of having contraband items before you even walk in. It’s insulting. If my doctor wasn’t a County doctor, I wouldn’t come here. CMH does not treat their patients like this. Go there instead if you can. VCMC ER is nasty ghetto.

Trevor Morrison Just felt like I had to leave a review after how efficiently and kindly I was treated at the ER today. I was in the most excruciating pain from a stingray sting and they still managed to find a way to help me laugh through it. All the staff was awesome, at least the nurses and all that. I was expecting to sit there for hours before being seen and I actually felt like the process was really efficient and didn’t keep me waiting for a long time to be cared for. Granted it was a bit more of a mellow day it seemed, but still! It’s a County Hospital - not always do they get the best reputation here, but my experience honestly shocked me enough to leave a good review of a hospital, so there ya go.

Amy Attentive staff. Handled my needs well, I expected a 4-6hr stay & it was about that. Its an ER so thats typical.
Got help when urgent care had closed. They called in meds to be picked up the next day as the pharmacy was closed by the time I was discharged. No complaints outside of the extremely small parking lot. I was lucky enough to get a spot but its about a 16 car max I believe.

MisterBucks MoreBucks I come in with my mother to the Emergency room, waiting behind a doctor too finish his conversation and literally jest about other patients that have entered. And the nurses or receptionist always laughing and always to be seem to have a good time while I sit here waiting 1 hour and more to get my mother seen! I tried to be polite to interrupt their conversation, when I was rudely over looked so they may continue their playful unprofessional conversation. I had to point out my moms major illness to get their attention. This hospital will not take you seriously.

Nicole Madison Horrible service from reception here. I have worked in reception, in the service & hospitality industry, and working with the general public for over a decade. I know how difficult people can be to work with, so keeping that in mind I really appreciate receptionists and am respectful and courteous whenever I make a phone call.
This is the second time here when Ive been blown away by the rudeness with the same receptionist. Ive called to schedule a simple appointment and had such a hostile, negative attitude on the phone Im honestly shocked. I guarantee any other establishment would fire someone on the spot for the way Ive heard her talking to people. This last time I called I put it on speaker and both my husband and in laws were incredulous at the way I was spoken too. We are now looking to speak to management and file a complaint, I understand working directly with customers may not be for everyone but if you are upset while you are working its completely inappropriate to verbally take that out on a completely unsuspecting client.

Antoine Davenport If there was an option for zero stars I will click that one. I live across the start from this hospital and I would instead drive 15 minutes to St. Johns hospital for much better ER experience. This is not the first time, my wife has been there 3 times for a medical issue and the ER staff has to be the worst we have experienced. Dr. Ponder, I believe who he is, is so inconsiderate as my wife was trying to explain her symptoms. I understand that these times are tuff for medical personnel but my wife is an employee of Dignity Health and these staffers people skills needs improvement. People come to the ER for comfort and assurance and at that time they are scared. Staffers needs to understand that...

Nancy Black This group has outstanding doctors but the administration of the group is horrible. Today I needed to contact my doctor to give him some critical information and because I am unable to contact him directly, I was on hold for 18 minutes before I reached his office! Ridiculous! Also have to listen to a Covid lecture every time I call. Valuable information but I have heard the same info 7 times in the last week, should be a way to bypass redundant information. Extremely frustrating group to work with. You can and should do better.

If any serious injuries or uncomfortable feelings please go to a different clinic. Again DO NOT go to this wannabe hospital with its wannabe doctors and nurses. If you are a medical professional, or have any connections let’s do your job better and correctly and help these people. You’re a hospital, this ain’t play time being a “doctor”. Be a doctor or get a new career. And to whoever runs this building, get more assistance and doctors. Try and show you care about your patients. Employers here doing terrible. 805Local The hospital itself is great, we had our 2nd daughter here and everyone was excellent. My gripe is with the clinic. They’re horrible at keeping their apt times, my wife had an apt at 9:45am here it is 10:45am and she’s still waiting. They over book their apt’s, and have piss poor time management skills. The parking lot is a complete joke, no where to park and there’s a huge sink hole filled with water that will destroy your car if you’re not careful.

Janet Scott Nobody ever wants to have to go to the hospital especially not the emergency room but if you have to go picking Santa Paula hospital is a good choice. Everyone and I mean everyone treats you really nice. From the guard all the way to the doctor each person makes you feel at ease and treats you with concern and care. The male nurse and doctor I had were both so good-looking they could easily be mistaken for actors from general hospital. Makes not feeling good not so bad at all.

Blanca Sanchez I dont know where to begin. My mother, an 89 year old, had to go to emergency to Santa Paula Hospital yesterday. She shared with me that after the treatment she received last night she doesnt want to ever go there again. Both nurses were rude extremely rude, neither one of them spoke my mothers native tongue. She said that she has seen dogs being treated better than those 2 nurses treated her. They completely ignore her and throw the plastic bag with her clothes to her and left closing the door behind them. Therefore, mom concluded she had to get dressed on her own, she started doing that while sitting in the bed where she had been examined. She has no clue as to what happened but she fall. She got up and finished getting dressed. When a doctor came in to ask how she was feeling she lied and told him that she was great. She just wanted to get out of that place. She was crying like a baby when she told me all of this. I do not know what to do....my older sister and niece took mom to emergency and they waited in the parking lot until she was released. Because of this "pandemic" excuse to mistreat elderly people, no one was allowed to go in with her. Mom needs assistance for everything. She cant walk or stand by herself. Now my mom is in pain and bruised from the fall. I can go on and on but, it wont change what she went through and at least I have stated the facts. I just had to do this review. Yes I agree if I could give them negative stars I would. It seems that the doctors and nurses there DO NOT CARE IF THAT HOSPITAL SHOTS DOWN. THEY only LOOSE THEIR JOBS.

Debra They are their own biggest fans. They have no clue what they are doing, dont have common goals among themselves, aides think they are and call themselves "nurses". They dont know and dont care about patients culture. They foster a secretive protocol, do NOT benefit, comprehend patients, their illness(s), and believe in doping them up upon entrance and slowly reducing meds. We can do that at home. Staff knows nothing about mental illness, patient rights, appropriate diagnosis, TX and care. Put them out of business and find real professionals who can diagnose properly and obtain help for them that is more than nonsense endless groups, pervasive over medication and real professionals with experience and standards instead of idiotic babysitters. They should be ashamed of themselves. They should be investigated. They are shameful and shamefully unprofessional. County facilities are NEVER very good.

Marisela Aguilar Although Dr.Shuman is a great doctor the way her employees schedule and run her office is very unorganized and careless to peoples time. I am a working parent of two boys I took time off work to get my 2 year old to1230PM appt and was waiting for doctor for over hour. I then let nurse know I was going to need to leave since I had to go pick up my other child from school in 30 mins. The nurse then said Dr.Shuman would be in to see my son in ten mins I waited another 30 mins at that point I could no longer wait since my son would be out of school any min. While walking out I seen Dr.Shuman in an office on what seemed to be a conference call. I was very upset why was my child scheduled at 1230 if she was going to take a conference call and why was I told in ten mins she be in to see my son. I waisted my time and lost money just to have to reschedule and now lose all that a second time. This office should of called to reschedule my sons appt before we arrived since they clearly knew she had other prioritys

Chris Seibel Im leaving this review because I was in a dire situation, needing a catheter to void my bladder because I am a L-1 spinal cord injury and I had left my backpack with all my medical supplies 2 hours away at home. I went to 5 other urgent cares and even several hospitals with ERs and no one would provide a simple catheter to me. Its not like I was asking for medication. Others wanted to check me in, sit and wait to be seen by a doctor. It was sad to say the least. So disappointing that these other facilties couldnt just provide that for me in great need. From the grace of God and caring of this urgent care they provided one for me! I was able to the bathroom and stay in Oxnard to watch my son play his club soccer game. Still a long drive back home but that was all I needed to enjoy the day. Thank you very much for your compassion for people in need and overlooking all the bureaucracy that prevent care for the simplest of need. Peace be with you!

Alexa Drury Great experience so far! I had my first appointment with my OB who referred me to this office and they called me right away to set up my appointment. Very prompt and wonderful customer service. I have yet to see my doctor, but I am hoping to confirm the great experience that I have had so far.

Jeri Graehl I have yet to have a good experience with the exception of my last appointment with the doctor I switched to - Dr. Dickey. I have asked 3 times to get an invitation to the patient portal to no avail. The person on my last call said she would send it in a few minutes and to call again if she failed to send it. She failed to send it. You cant get the slightest thing done with these people. They set up this patient portal so they wont be bothered by their patients but then you cant even get help to sign up!!!!!! I had to switch doctors because it took too long to get an appointment with my last primary Dr and I had to see the very incompetent nurse practitioner. I needed two authorizations for ongoing heath problems because they would not give me one that lasted long enough. It took a month to get the authorizations despite my making it crystal clear I was very worried since it was regarding a retinal tear follow up which should NOT have been disregarded. The other was for a check up with a dermatologist after I found a suspicious area on my face and had just undergone a month of daily radiation treatments instead of a very disfiguring surgery. I told the nurse practitioner I was having panic attacks and anxiety in general and especially over these two health issues. She told me to meditate - like that would solve my problem and mitigate legitimately scary health issues. As if meditating will make losing your vision or getting your face disfigured will solve the problem. I absolutely cant stand this medical group. The staff is rude and I cant stand dealing with any of them. I tell myself it is the nature of HMOs and to some extent it is. But there is NO EXCUSE for not listening to the patient, not following through with authorizations, not being able to get an appointment with a doctor in a reasonable time and having to see the horrible nurse practitioner I saw, having to ask 3 times to get their approval to sign onto the patient portal and still not be given a simple email to do so, not being listened to and instead having colonoscopies and mammograms pushed while disregarding the reason you are there, and having to tolerate the rude office staff. This is terrible medical care. Awful experience every single time. I dont trust them to do their job and they sure as hell dont care at all about their patients. I will NEVER go to this office unless I absolutely have no choice - which is what they want - I think they get paid either way.

Ella S I got my 1st dose of the vaccine here. You make an appointment time but you still have to wait in line. I waited in line for about an hour but to me that was definitely worth it. The staff was kind, very cheerful, upbeat and helpful. They were well organized and it was very effective.

Nikki C Very rude front desk staff, hung up on my husband for a simple question. If you can’t handle customer service then you’re in the wrong profession. You never know what some people are going through and to be rude is not okay at all. Be better or change staff. Too many complaints on here for the same reason.

Leneice Garcia Called this office to simply coordinate an appointment and they were just not friendly from the start. Not very helpful. Just got a “ we’ll see what we can do”. Their office protocal to schedule an appointment isnt lenient, just a “ well this is how we do it”. Highly avoiding having to coordinate any future appointments with their office on Ventura rd.

Emily Horlacher Please choose another practice. Theyre horrible. My husband showed up for his appt on time and was told that it was an hour wait. AN HOUR who has that kind of time in the middle of a work day? They didnt even bother to give him a courtesy call. Also, not one person apologized for the inconvenience. They would have no problem charging him for a no show, but when theyre behind there is no repercussion.

dharminder ojla I had the same experience that some other folks had. I came to my appointment on time and was sat in a room for an hour in a half. I got there at 2:00 and didnt see the doctor until 3:30. I genuinely believed that they had forgot I was waiting in the room. When I did see the doctor he didnt even help with the issue I had. The whole experience was bad, and Im never going back. Do yourself a favor and find a different primary care doctor.

Alma Vira I have recently gone to this office to ask about upcoming appointments. Very poor customer service in the front office. The girls are talking among themselves and we as patients are waiting to be acknowledged while they finish their conversation. The ladies in the back turn to see who is standing there but never say Hi, or acknowledge as well, they turn back to what they were doing. The front office just asks for DOB, no greeting no nothing. I have gone in the past and a girl named Blanca A, would greet me professionally and nicely, not sure if she is still there, but the other girls...Horrible customer service.

Melissa Vargas I recently called to schedule an in-person appt and was told Dr. Neira could not see me because I am not vaccinated against Covid. Are you kidding me??! What kind of medical professional would decline services to a patient for not being vaccinated?
Dr. Neira is a great doctor but unfortunately, I had to switch to another clinic where they are willing to see me in person. This is just ridiculous and inhumane.

mayra nateras It’s wrong on so many levels to refuse to see patients due to not being vaccinated against Covid in person. Facts wether you have the vaccination or not you get sick. The doctors in the office are disloyal to their doctor code and patients to put such a rule. The staff is as stated short and rude. My family and I will be taking our business elsewhere.

Katie Adams Gave an extra star for getting me in fairly quickly. Another terrible experience here. Made me question where these doctors get their medical licenses from. I went in after midnight two nights ago with a double ear infection. I was in excruciating pain. Tylenol and Advil weren’t helping at all. I hate prescription pain meds but this level of pain was unbearable. Those who know me know that if I’m wanting help with pain, it must be really bad because I am normally very anti prescription meds… the doctor didn’t even check my ears. He held the thing up to my ears but didn’t even really look. Said I have a double ear infection and just need some drops and mild pain relief shot (this shot didn’t do anything for my pain). Sent me home and I was up all night literally screaming in pain. They didn’t even give me anything for the pain aside from the shot so I was on my own. My entire face was swollen and they didn’t even give me something to help the inflammation. Just the antibiotic ear drops. My dad had to drive me to the ER again in the morning. Finally I got a doctor who actually checked my ears and saw how severe the infection was AND that my ears were swollen shut so the drops wouldn’t be able to reach the infection anyway so he put wicks in both ears to wedge them open so the antibiotic drops could get in. He gave me two prescriptions, one was for THREE Tylenol with codeine. Something I hate taking but was so relieved to have because I needed some relief. They should have given me two days worth because I woke
Up this morning in pain still but slightly less so it would have been nice to have some relief today too. Two days worth would have been enough to get me through this until the drops kick in. The other prescription is for Naproxen. He then told me when I’m out of the Tylenol with codeine to just take regular Advil. Unbelievable, I started taking Advil when my mom discovered that you aren’t supposed to take Advil while on naproxen, that it’s actually highly dangerous to do so. So why did the doctor tell me to take Advil?! UNBELIEVABLE. Where do these doctors go to med school?! I’ve heard bad things about cmh ER but it’s what my insurance is linked to so it’s where I needed to go. This is why I’m afraid to go to the doctor. Shitty doctors giving shitty advice, incorrectly diagnosing, not doing a thorough job, and leaving someone in excruciating pain because they suddenly decided that they’re too lazy to monitor pain pill usage so they’d rather not prescribe them at all. Nobody gets addicted to pain meds after taking them for two days, especially someone who has verbalized multiple times that they don’t like taking prescription pain meds because they upset my stomach and make me feel weird. That should tell you how desperate I was for relief. I’ve never experienced this much pain in my life and to be treated like an addict was beyond insulting. These new doctors need to do better by their patients, start exhibiting compassion and empathy, and put in a little effort to find a treatment plan that works for their patient so that patients leave feeling heard and respected and cared for instead of like an inconvenience.

Paul M Omg, can not belive how incredibly unprofessional these people are. I thought I was on MTV punked it was that much of a joke. Always full of criminals and cops. By far one of the worst experiences with a hospital. Im calling a attorney the neglect was so bad. I sat for 5 hours no one even approached me when they did the rudest most disrespectful group of bitter women on the planet. Horrible energy, atmosphere and zero care for people. Idk maybe cause they deal w criminals all day they just stopped caring.

Nurses are rude, over worked, under staffed and human lives are at risk. I told them if he went home and died theyd have one hell of a lawsuit on their hands. Miraculously they were able to admit him finally!

ashley guerrero I came in yesterday due to a knee injury. I already knew it was not a fracture but it was a possible tear or strain. They only did x-rays told me they don’t do MRI’s when I requested one due to the fact that they only have one machine and they will only do it if it’s life threatening. I understood. I was told by the RN that they were going to prescribe medication and asked what pharmacy. I called the pharmacy and they said they didn’t receive the order. I called CMH ER back was transferred and told me that, that was never recorded and i can just buy it over the counter and was so rude on the phone, and one of the nurses who was there was not the friendliest. I have had good experiences there which is why I went. I will def not go back.

Jacqueline R This group was assigned to me by the State of California and Gold Coast Health Care. The state has paid them for 15 months. I have been calling them, to make an appointment to see a Doctor. THEY WON’T EVEN ANSWER THE PHONE. I have called 7 times over the last 48 hours. They can’t be bothered to see me. I changed my provider. New provider answered instantly, and I have and appointment with my new doctor. Thinking about Las Islas? Just, no.

ethan mooney If I could give 0 stars, this would be the case. I have been with this clinic for about 3 years. I have only been seen 4 times (twice this month). The first time (what I would believe being) was misdiagnosed with a thyroid disorder.
Always took an hour, if not longer, to answer the phones to schedule an appointment. So just leave a message they will try to call you back the next day (at an inconvenient time).
Finally, I got an appointment. They tried to tell you they are booked for appointments until they see one free (this week or the next day).
After they rescheduled my appointment twice then they surprise me with a "before you come in Thursday we need labs Wednesday" (it was Tuesday. Being informed all this when they knew weeks prior to my original appointment is pretty unprofessional). I get it they have other people to worry about...
I get through my appointment to find out my hormones are normal. Until I tell them I stopped taking the medication a year ago. Then its "these hormones seem a little high"...
Not only that. The same appointment I tried to get a TB test on that Thursday. (You know 2 birds, one stone. Also, who knows the next time Ill be seen again.) You know you have to get that read in 48 hrs. Well, I guess whoever gave me the test didnt realize they would be closed on Saturday. She was definitely aware they were closed Sunday because she was very adamant about returning on Saturday.... the day they are closed.
Lots of misinformation and lack of communication.

Monica Monroe I would not recommend this practice or the doctors here. The lack of professionalism is deeply concerning, especially considering these are the people responsible for your care. In particular, I strongly advise against seeing Dr. Gail Joseph (gynecology) at this location. As a patient, I encountered several troubling issues: she consistently failed to listen to my concerns, provided inadequate advice, and displayed a serious lack of professionalism in following up with test results and additional information. Its unacceptable to receive critical test results after hours, without details the day prior to an appointment in an attempt to cancel the appointment.

SJ Wow, where do I even begin with Dr. Gail Joseph? She is an absolute gem in the medical field! From the moment I stepped into her office, I felt like I was in the presence of someone who genuinely cared about my well-being. Her attentiveness and understanding for my health concerns were beyond anything I could have hoped for.
Dr. Joseph took the time to listen to me, really listen. She didnt rush through the appointment or brush off my concerns like some doctors tend to do. Instead, she sat down with me, asked thoughtful questions, and made me feel like my health was her top priority. It was such a refreshing experience to be treated with such compassion and respect.
This is the experience I wish all patients could have.

Denise Thorpe- Eheler My husband and I have been very disappointed that we have only seen our Primary Care Physician once in a year and a half. We have never experienced this before where we see the Nurse Practitioners on almost every appointment. We wonder why this is allowed to happen and what are we paying for. Additionally, when I got my labs done they didnt even have my order ready and I had to call their office to take care of that. Also, in a recent diagnosis of a cyst I was not informed by their office of my result. And, I was not notified of my MRI result. I had to find out everything on my own. Its discouraging to say the least. If I had not been my best advocate Im not sure or convinced I would have found out the results. The office needs an updated, modern look that is sorely lacking. My husband and I are going to be looking for another doctor and medical group for our medical needs as soon as we can.

805Local Very frustrated with this place. I made an apt with Dr. Ryan Wells over 3 weeks ago on the Cigna app as he was in network. I was asked by the girl on the phone what insurance I had (Cigna PPO) not once did she mention my insurance was out of network. I arrived for my apt today after leaving work early & was told that because my insurance was out of network I would be responsible for 50% of the bill! Total bait and switch service. I had to cancel my appointment & now have to find another dermatologist that is in network. Worst part is my in network deductible is met and now will reset with the new year. Why couldn’t they have told me 3 weeks ago while trying to book the appointment that my insurance wasn’t in network.

Tony Vitale When I was referred to Dr. Klope, I was extremely happy until I had to interface with his MA , who never contact once or ashwood Medical group in any capacity to attempt to reach her. It was a joke. It took me close to 5 weeks to just set up an appointment for the initial consultation. Then they continually informed me that they did not receive ALL my medical records was released by Dr. Emerys office staff promptly, Dr. Emery was my original urologist who has since retired from surgery . . It took 4 times for them to resolve that issue. I had to physically pick up my records, drive them to ashwood to install in my file There service is at best poor. On 10/28/2021 at 515 PM the office contacted me to inform me that my appointment which was set up 2 weeks earlier was cancelled. Mind you I had surgery on the 9th of Oct and was well rested to return to work. I was looking forward in getting a written realise . I am earmarked to return to work on Monday Nov 1st and to advise me after hours that my appointment would need to be rescheduled is absolutely unacceptable.. This is distressing since I will have to return to work without a Drs. clearance. I can not loose my position at work. I am in good shape and ready to return to work. If you are looking for a good medical group, with exception of Dr Kolpe, and his associate Malisa ,his surgery scheduler........ Run....... worst customer service ever
Needless to say this has caused me undue stress as returning to work without a written clearance could cause me to be terminated. I will follow instructions and called tommorow however I can not tell you how much stress Ashwood has caused me throughout the entire process. The hospital was great.
Dr. Klope is an excellent surgeon and would recommend him in a heartbeat however the supporting staff at Ashwood is horrible.

Aaron D Worst hospital I’ve ever been to. I was treated and attended to at very minimal attention and after the x-ray tech captured the images, the experience was worse than being at a county hospital.
No checkups while in the patient bed, unless I paged the nurse for pain which was not attended to at all resulting in hours of agony and the Doctor acting like everything’s “A Ok”

Andrea If you have the option to come here, don’t! The waits here are unbearably long. The doctor will have you wait for half an hour to actually go into a room for your appointment. While the doctor leaves you in the room for another 30 minutes you can hear her and her staff talking about all sorts of stuff. Like rumors, gossip, and family life, instead of just bringing you your paperwork.
