Patrick E Greedy! Not to mention the bumbling mistakes, be aware of hidden expenses. During my annual, no-cost wellness exam, I asked for a prescription refill that was originally filled by a different doctor from another practice. No problem, the Rx was written and I happily picked up the prescription from my local pharmacy hours later. Approximately 3 months later I received a bill for $118 for an outpatient visit for the very same date I was seen for the wellness exam. When I called in questioning this charge, I was told that because I asked to refill a prescription that was filled by another doctor, they had to charge me for this part of the exam by billing it as an "outpatient visit" - as if I had walked out of the office and walked back in for a new visit. Do you think it could have been mentioned that this service was not part of the wellness exam? One would think so, but never was it mentioned during the exam that to write the prescription for this drug would result in an out-of-pocket charge of $118.00. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! Its like asking the waiter or waitress if I can add an upgrade to my meal and getting charged for writing the add-on to the meal ticket. Absurd. The office person coldly said that I should deal with my insurance about this. Its not about the insurance, its about your GREED Bouchier-Pritchett Family Medicine! In the end YOU lose. My money will now be going to a different practice that has some moral integrity, and I hope others reading this review will move along as well.

Shawn Brower My husband and I are just DONE with this practice! Over the last year, weve fought to get referrals and testing we needed. Jed Coleman pushed back repeatedly on our request for testosterone and neurotransmitter testing, a referral to an endocrinologist and they are either unwilling or completely incompetent when it comes to the needs of gay men and their health issues, even simple STI testing and treatment. Most recently, they were unable to get the necessary medication and told us to just go into a clinic, so whats the point if you primary care physician is more of an obstacle than a resource. We could not be more disgusted with how weve been treated by this practice. Do better!

paul hauck My 96 year old mother experienced a sudden change in mental status. We took her to the emergency department and within four hours she had been triaged, had lab work, chest x-ray, and brain scan, been seen by the emergency room physician, was diagnosed and treated. Our experience there was nothing short of phenomenal. Each person we encountered was uniformly polite, friendly and professional. We are so fortunate to have this quality service in the small town.

Sharon Woolsey From pre-op joint class, to being released after knee replacement surgery same day, 2/3/25, ALL staff members were professional, knowledgeable, responsive, comforting, and efficient. They were all helpful and smiling and took away my fears. This is my second experience with this hospital. The first being the ER. Again, very professional and totally impressive. Their compassion and excellent care made a huge difference in my experience. Thanks to each and every one of the staff members I dealt with.

Tom Parilo My wife and I visited the Dignity Health urgent care facility on three occasions over the last two weeks. The staff is very helpful, accommodating, friendly and professional. You dont need an appoinment and there are rarely other patients in the waiting room. They take the time to properly evaluate your medical needs. We highly recommend Dignity Health Urgent Care.

Karuna Hodgson I had a barium enema procedure. The people helping me were wonderful but the initial equipment they used was faulty which created a fiasco. I felt like I had landed in a mud wrestling competition. Extremely awkward for me. But they kept trying and finally got proper equipment. I know it was very challenging for the 2 people helping me as well but they held their composure and helped me stay calm and we got through it. The doctor was in charge of taking pictures and removed himself from the messy glitches and came back when they sorted it out. I could tell he was frustrated with the situation but kindly refrained from exasperated outbursts which I believe he was on the verge of. I don’t think this kind of thing happens very often so I guess I drew the short straw that day. Grateful for the kindness of the crew on point.

Linda Ergo I was quickly admitted, and attended to, and I felt very cared for. My doctor was kind and extremely sympathetic . I came in for severe hypertension, and I thought I was having a heart attack or a stroke and I was very scared. I had several tests done and was only there for about four hours. Everything was extremely efficient. I didn’t have to wait forever for some kind of treatment. And I know the ER was busy because there were patients in every bed. All the people that attended to me were very kind and I appreciated that.

If you are lucky enough to be admitted to his practice, you hit the lottery. Kudos to Dr. Byron Lake. Other providers should observe his Standard Operating Procedures and follow his lead.

Kacee Casto Not a safe place. They have no responsibility or accountability for the destructive advice they give and encourage. But they will recommend therapy to recover from taking their advice which destroyed you. But the therapy they suggest wont be available either. So they just say good luck and leave you to suffer. Doesnt really matter if you live or die because they cant be held responsible and dont care. If they cant fix you with their little program and there is no ego gratification for them they will do much harm. Not a safe place

Darin Barry I find these doctors and therapist superior to the ones I had out there in the private sector, and I have a choice as to where to go. Nevada County Behavioral health gets my five stars for good reason.

The receptionist promptly directed me to a counselor within the office who gave me excellent direction with the kindest most compassionate attitude. I am very impressed.

Mary Mahoney Dr. Clayton was the attending physician for my husband, John Post, during his recent hospitalization at SNMH., GV, CA. His kind and very gentle approach while having to deliver not the best news was really quite remarkable. Always calm, never in a hurry, he made himself so available to both John and I with our many questions and often asking him to repeat information and/or explain in more detail. He never hurried nor seemed bothered by our continual requests for more information and detailed explanations. We were both so appreciative! SNMH is extremely fortunate to have him on staff and the community is sincerely blessed with a physician of his caliber. His time spent with my husband was really so "above and beyond" in terms of explaining so much about a totally new diagnosis for my husband. My husband came home with a clear understanding, for the first time, of what his future may now look like. Although some medical news can be so disheartening he had such a great approach to explain in great detail what was ahead for us. We cannot begin to thank him enough!

Laura L My emergency documentation says that I had a confirmed earache, acid reflex was confirmed, and that I had a black hairy tongue that was confirmed. This man never looked in my ears. There was nothing done about acid reflux, which I have never had and never complained to a doctor about. And he did not look in my mouth. So I don’t know where he got these diagnosis from. I went to the emergency room because of knee pain. Not any of the other things he said I had. He asked me if I wanted a knee brace. His words were, it doesn’t matter to me whether you take the brace or not. . Please, if you go to this hospital or any doctors in Nevada county please get second opinions.

Linda Lane Dr Evans ignored my symptoms and sent me home A week later I was back and saw the nurse practitioner who works under him. He noticed I didnt look right and ordered a CBC on me. Turned out I had leukemia. That extra week could have killed me. Im sure Dr Evans dismissed me as a "hysterical female"

David Naves Dr. Lake is one of the best doctors Ive ever seen. He allowed for all the time needed to carefully go over my medical history to ensure that he gave me the correct diagnoses and proper treatments needed. My entire family now sees Neva and Byron. They are good people and Im very glad I left my old doctors that had left me feeling like a number. For those who are complaining about the wait times... yes, they sometimes have a wait. But I can tell you, its only because they have a large quantity of very happy customers. (like me) I give this practice my highest recommendation.

Caitlin Arriaga I’m very disappointed In the “service” I get at this office. I feel it is extremely difficult to get ahold of anyone by the phone at this office. When I finally do get ahold of them and go in for a visit, I am brushed over. Their work is not thorough by any means. The employees/doctors I speak with don’t seem have any desire to genuinely help me. I feel there in a lack of effort on their end and it’s quite frustrating. I will no longer pay this office my hard earned money, to have no help and no professional medical care in return. All I can say is I’d NEVER refer this doctor to anyone.

Marie Dearborne I scheduled a new patient visit at their office, with their NP. The office staff were friendly and the NP was wonderful. However, I arrived at 2pm for my 2:10 appointment and didnt see the NP until 3:40pm. Excessive wait time! Further, I was informed that the doctors religious beliefs (Catholic) mean that they do not believe in any reproductive care for women besides fertility. I was surprised that here in the 21st century, this is a thing! Since no one in their office can address the full spectrum of my health needs, I will be changing to a new PCP.

Sara Perry Consistent issues with over booking and making patients wait a very long time for their appointment. Has been happening for years. Today I went for my sons appointment, took time off work, and sat in the parking lot for an hour after his scheduled time with zero communication after check in. They would not answer the phone and I finally had to leave without him being seen. The day they figure out that their patients time is as important as their bottom line they will improve. Looking for a new doctor. They are nice but the over schmeling issue has been happening too long without improvement.

Numerous call to an answering machine, no call back after calling and leaving messages, this has happened numerous times on different occasions. Patients should be called back within a few hours, not left out to dry for days. Your hospital radiology is doing a very poor job. Very disappointing. I finally made an appointment elsewhere. These are real people, with real needs your ignoring. So dissatisfied !

Jessica Anne I have been a patient here for a few years, and the dentists there are absolutely fantastic! This is not a review that should reflect them, but rather the newer secretarial staff. When the office closed down at the beginning of the pandemic, I was told my appointments would have to be canceled but I would receive a call back as soon as they could reschedule. Well, come April 2021 I still had not received a call from them. I called to see what the issue was and the secretary I spoke with was incredibly rude, unhelpful, short, and unprofessional. Luckily with my new health care plan I can choose to go elsewhere and I will! This woman is not friendly and doest really seem to know what shes doing at all. Thats too bad bc the dental professionals there have been amazing.

Because someone like me who has Fibromyalgia nobody understands or listens to you when you say youre in pain and hurting. They dont make me feel crazy. "Ive had Drs make me feel that way." I feel like these 2 ladys are the only ones that have listened to me.

Daniel Malugani I was in pain. I had come in Saturday June 1st 2024 as an emergency patient. Despite having been told that a Dentist is on duty, I arrived only to find that the only staff was a recently hired hygienist. I met with the doctor, she could only see me, prescribed antibiotics and sent me on my way. I was scheduled for today June 3rd 2024. When I arrived, the Assistant was aggressive. She instantly went into a rant about management, lack of staff and made me feel very unwelcome. She told me that they will only x-ray one tooth. And went on to tell me thats all she will do. I asked for help, I was in pain and had waited two days already.... She walked out and told the doctor that I didnt believe her and he had better tell me the rules around here because I am not listening to her. The doctor was even worse. He all but dismissed me, told me that medical in that office and type of facility could not help me. He confirmed, x-ray only, no treatment, reschedule for extraction then a week later a full exam and X-rays. I can get help until July 1st for an emergency!!! I am in pain. He was right there, no other patients at that time. I left pissed off. Both of them have piss poor attitudes, share with clients how horrible it is to work there and all of management and the upcoming changes are not qualified in Dental only Medical. What a joke. I will keep my appointment, request management to oversee the process if I cant get treatment faster so I am not going to be in great pain for almost a month. I asked the doctor cant you help me please? He replied by saying nope, you are on your own, then the assistant laughed and they sent me away to schedule. I you have real needs for dental care, and are looking for professional, qualified, caringstaff and Doctors in the dental industry, DO GO HERE! There bad attitudes and lack of care are not only unprofessional, but clearly reflect how they treat patients before they decide if they want to help you. Dont put you smile and health in the hands of people who do not care about you.

- I was in a tight spot with my health insurance, and unable to get into an office to have an exam. First time going to a medical facility that didnt actually feel like a hospital, and its very nice. The people that work here really care about the community and the well-being of its residents. Be nice to them, during my first visit, I witnessed them accommodate every person who showed up with nothing but grace. They are there to help!

Diana Igorevna Yudina The medical clinic is great. Dr. Nielsen and Dr. Matthias were great, and the nurses were wonderful. I had an especially good experience with the nurse Cecily. She was the most caring and helpful nurse that I had ever encountered. But my dental experience was very bad unfortunately. I went for a filling (half of my filling fell out so I needed to replace it). I had Dr. Jacques. The procedure was painful and uncomfortable. The communication from the dentist was poor—I felt several times during the proceDure that I will choke on my saliva—and it was not communicated to me what to do if I started suffocating from my saliva—I was just told not to move while drilling was being done. But the worst part of it, is that I had HORRIBLE pain for 2 and a half weeks after the filling ! I am not just talking the usual post-filling sensitivity, I am talking intense throbbing pain in my jaw and tooth. I had to take pain meds every day for almost 3 weeks. I have NEVER experienced this kind of pain after a dental procedure! Then when I came into the office after 1 month complaining of this pain, the Dr did NOTHING to address this problem, such as finding out why I had the pain, explaining to me if anything was wrong, she just put desensitizing medication (which didn’t help), didn’t do X-rays to check if anything was wrong, didn’t ask me questions, didn’t really even check that tooth at all. I felt absolutely disregarded as a patient, unfortunately. It has been more than two months since the procedure—I still have horrible sensitivity on that tooth, I cannot eat or drink normally on that side of my mouth. Now she is saying I might need a root canal. That tooth was completely FINE before she did the filling—no pain, no sensitivity. Very bad experience with the Dr. however the dental nurses were super sweet, and the front desk staff was wonderful.

Laurie Watkins I had a fantastic experience here for my colonoscopy. Dr. F is a wonderful doctor who listened to my questions and answered them thoroughly and the entire process was very fast and easy. It happened to be my birthday that day, and when I was coming out of anesthesia in the recovery room, all the nurses stood in front of me and they sang Happy Birthday to me. Great doctor’s office. Highly recommend!

Hannah Grace Towards the end of August 2023, I had a colonoscopy with Sierra Endoscopy Center. I was terribly afraid, shaking, and crying when I arrived. I had never had an IV, never been knocked out, and certainly never had a colonoscopy. I had many fears. The nurses I met were absolutely amazing. They gave me warmed blankets and made me very comfortable while I waited. They talked to me and asked me things completely unrelated to the procedure to get my mind off of it. I am forever grateful for their care for a stranger like me. They explained everything they were doing so that I wouldnt be afraid of it, and let the doctor know I was anxious. Dr. Hill was also very kind and caring about my nervousness. They quickly got me sedated, and I woke up in my bed at home 5 hours later. I cannot testify what the colonoscopy was like because I never felt it, and really wasnt even there consciously. I am very grateful to the staff for making me comfortable and making the best out of a procedure that nobody really wants to do. I am glad I got it done with this staff. Thank you!!

Julia Martin Communication was lackluster but the procedure itself was a great experience. I had an upper endoscopy and don’t even remember a thing. The nurses were incredibly kind and considerate and helped me with my anxiety.

Mark Vasko Wow.. I’ve read some negative comments about this clinic and how rude Doctor Foliente was to someone but my experience was the complete opposite! From the time we came in to the time we left, I felt cared for through the entire process of my colonoscopy. I really felt like everyone there cared for me and the entire process. A plus from me to this clinic. It was absolutely an awesome experience working with this team of professionals.

Nanette Fabulous RUN! If you are having a colenoscopy or any other procedure do NOT trust Dr. Foliente. He is a LIER! He cares more about money and loosing clients then your pain or your life. I am posting this because I was truly horrified today during my colonoscopy. The office staff and and the nurses seemed very nice I also had a quick encounter with Dr. Chang that was nice. So I was definitely horrified with my experience with Dr Foliente. He is a discusting person and has no business working with the public. He told me before my colonoscopy that he would make sure I felt no pain and he was going to use an anaesthetic and he would give me what was needed to make sure I was comfortable and I would feel no pain and would probably not even remember anything because I would be out. I did tell him that I had problems in the past with anesthesia not working well and once even woke up during an operation. So I was told to let him know. He said not to worry there would be no pain because they could give me more if I was uncomfortable. They gave me the anasthesia. All of a sudden felt a massive pain. And I yelled in pain. I was shocked at the pain and it caught me off gurard since this was supposedly a painless procure. The Dr. Immediately started berating me and threatening me. He never apologized or tried to calm me down or give me more Anasthesia. He just got so angry at me while I was on the bed threatening me that if I keep crying in pain that he would stop. He angerly told me it did not hurt and that he was not doing anything meanwhile I have a camera up my butt and he is cutting at me. Obviously something hurt me really bad so if it was not normal then he did something wrong. I understand that getting polyps cut out hurts and the meds did not work but he should have handled me with care and respect and not took it out on me when I was in pain. I never moved or pulled away from him so he had no right to talk mean to me just because of my immense pain. I dont trust this guy or his results because he stopped the procedure after he said if I cried out in pain again he would stop. I dont even know if he compleated everything still. I just keep thinking if you arent going to help the pain just finish it now. If it was not for the girls in the room who felt bad for me and tried to help me feel better I dont know what would have happened. A nice lady named Amanda ( I think) was so nice and took me to the recovery room and tried to calm me down. The insults and treatment of the Dr. was litterly worse then the horrible pain that he caused. Finally I started feeling a little better when she put a cold rag on my head and eyes. Then I heard the Dr.s uncaring voice come into the room and he said that he did not want me crying out in pain because his other customers would hear and he didnt want that. I told him he should have been thinking about his patient that was in agony and trying to figure out why and how to help me instead of the clients he could potentially loose and the old mighty dollar. I have never been treated like this by a Dr. Before. When a Dr hurts you they usually feel horrible and try to make you feel better even if it is just by being kind. I have never experienced a Dr. yelling at me for hurting me. I asked the nurse about info on contacting the Dr.s Board and was also told they did not have information on the Dr. S Board for complaints later I told the manager that I thought it was illegal to not have it posted somewhere. When I got to my car I sent my husband back in to ask the front office as well and they said the same thing but they did give him the office managers phone number. I called the office manager and she said they do have it posted but the front office people are new. I wonder if they do have it because I was told that by the people in the back too that they didnt. I am definitely doing a greavance because I dont want someone else to be treated like this. I am horrified that there are Dr.s like this.

Everyone that walks in that door doesnt know where to go or who to talk to your job to help the public navigate the hospital..The way you were snapping at people is absolutely uncalled for and unprofessional...

Julia Sugg It started with a different Dr. (2006) and three surgeries, first a colostomy, then a take down, then an insional repair.. I had developed many hernias in the stomach, adominal region by 2008, and they hurt. I went to see Dr. Maldonado, in 2014 and we decided to do a hernia repair, (that might turn into more if found ). and it did. 6 plus hours later, Im out and actually feel all in place, with little to no pain. And to this day I still feel in place (inside and out). His no nonsense manner, and down to earth attitude is wonderful to deal with, I understood everything that would take place during surgery and how long it would take to heal. I would truly recommend Dr. Maldonado to anyone who needs a surgeon, or even a Dr. 150% satisfied..

Susan Murphy I injured my leg a while ago and found some sore hard spots. Since I am a veterinarian, I was worried about thrombosis. I was able to get in to see Dr.Maldonado very quickly, but was told he really didnt have time to do an ultrasound that day. Once I was there, I explained I was leaving on for a rather lengthy airplane ride to see my son. He was sweet enough and concerned enough to go ahead and do the ultrasound that day. Fortunately they areas were just superficial thrombosis, so I could take my trip as planned. I was very pleased with his office staff and was extremely happy with him. We could use more doctors like Dr. Maldonado.

Kristin Hahner I had severe pain and was getting a bit of a run-around. Dr. Maldonados staff went to bat for me with the insurance company and got me into the office the next morning. Dr. Maldonado relieved the majority of the pain and scheduled surgery for the next day. Hes all business and his staff is warm and compassionate. Super thankful!

Pearl Alvarado Dr. Maldonado is a delight. Very personable and professional as well. He not only saw to my husbands needs, as his patient, but also mine as the nervous wife in the waiting room. Appointments with him were all scheduled in a timely fashion and afforded to by a professional and friendly staff.

MsChaitealatte I met Dr. Maldonado in the hospital emergency room after a CT scan showed appendicitis. I went in and had a long surgery as my appendix was ruptured. I was seriously ill but the surgery and healing went very well and I made a full recovery. Doctor Maldonado literally saved my life.

Aicha Alaoui Extremely rude lady at the optical department. Will make you wait over 6 weeks for glasses which is unheard off. Once glasses are ready they will make one single phone call and leave one single voice message. Will never try to contact you again or leave a text. If you complain because you never got there message they will tell you that they have hundreds of patients. Not one single word of apology. Will take my business elsewhere.

Raybies Flynn I had a great experience. I was scheduled for two appointments, back-to-back. The first one was for the eye exam. The second appointment was to get fitted for new frames. It was my first eye exam ever. Everything went smoothly. Expeditiously, even. I was promptly greeted by the friendly receptionist Jessica, and checked in. Everyone was kind and professional. I was able to try on an array of glasses to find the perfect fit for my face and taste. I will be getting a call in about six weeks, when my new frames come in.

Dustin Wright Cindy and Cynthia were so friendly and helpful. I sat in my non prescription glasses and when I arrived I was greeted immediately and the repair only took 5 minutes! Super friendly and great customer is hard to find these days. Thanks so much for the help today. I’ll definitely stop by when I need a new pair!

Chuck Eccles Always a long wait in the waiting room and when they put you in little room while you wait to see the doctor. Overbooked because of not enough doctors. However, the doctors are great and try to help you . The staff is great.

Judy Anderson Sierra View Medical Eye is the go-to place in our area for eye exams and eye medical care. Sadly, they are still extremely busy and usually behind schedule. My recent visit experienced the reception staff talking loudly about personal matters for all the waiting room to hear while I waited 30 minutes. My Doctor was pleasant and thorough as always, apologizing for the delay. When I was done with my visit the receptionist informed me I had a $40 credit from a year ago and they would reduce my current billing. (I would have preferred a refund last year) My Dr. ordered me contact lens samples and said they take a week to arrive. I called the contact lens department 8 business days after my appointment, she said they had been ordered but they are now taking around 3 weeks to arrive! This review is not reflective of the doctors there, just the system and staff. Im glad I only have to got there once a year. Maybe time to change offices.

Ashley Elizabeth Front desk has no clue what theyre doing. Some days they bill you and other times they wont with no rhyme or reason. Sometimes they double charge you months later because "they made a mistake" and need payment again. Theyre allowed to cancel your childs appointment day of, if you do though then you owe them a fee. Front desk is ridiculously rude and check ups arent done at your childs appt, Ive switched care and its much more thorough. The office and Dr rooms are also like 85 degrees, humid, and stuffy during Summer making wait time uncomfortable. 10/10 dont recommend

K R I’m surprised by the positive reviews since the yelp reviews appear to be in line with the service I experienced. This office was never able to get my prescriptions right even after two office visits. The nurse practitioner is terrible and does not follow through even though she assured me she would. Spent numerous hours trying to get my medication and this office wasn’t able to. The office manager in Grass Valley was worthless and unable to do anything. After hours of calls and running out of medication, I ended up calling my doctor who is out of the area and he sent it in same day. Thank you Stanford Medical.

Catherine Andrews I recently moved to Penn Valley from out of the area, and I needed a new healthcare provider. I heard that there was a new Family Nurse Practitioner nearby at Sierra Care Physicians, so I signed up. I really enjoyed my visit with Karen Greenhaw, FNP. She was friendly, allowing me to ask many questions, and she answered all of my questions. The front desk people and the nurse were very pleasant, as well. I would certainly recommend Sierra Care Physicians.

They have always accommodated me even while being far away with webcam visits. The office staff have always gone above and beyond. Always friendly..

Mandy Bunnell I highly reccommend Penn Valleys Sierra Care Physicians office with Dr Berezniak and Dr Burt. They have provided my entire family (my parents, my inlaws, my siblings and my child) compassionate and thorough medical care for the past 20+ years. Their team works closely together to provide the best care from the first very first moment of contact. While I know that many medical offices have faced many challenges the past few years since the pandemic and , whether it was the influx of sick patients, navigating ever-changing rules and regulations, mask mandates, social distancing, offering virtual visits when appropriate, having me or my family seen in sick clinic when I have symptoms (thank you for taking the steps to keep people safe and well!), staffing/referral/authorization challenges, (it is shocking how many specialists we have lost in this area as of late and how hard this office works to help get me in with someone--I still try my best to help provide their office with all the info needed like finding out ahead of time what drs my insurance is contracted with when i need an referral sent outside the office. I realize I am not their only patient and I appreciate them and the time it takes to get an authorization on hundreds of other patients. Who knows if the pt seen before me is needing an urgent referral/testing order for a suspected possible cancer diagnosis? That really puts things into perspective for me.) The front desk is an absolute treasure and wealth of knowledge. She knows her stuff and has a heart of gold. Their schedulers/phone operators are kind and so helpful. The medical assistants know I am squeemish when it comes to needles and are so understanding and talk me through it making it quick and painless. I love that they have a web portal for non-emergency communication with the office. I can message the doctor, request an appoinment or request a refill. This saves me so much time! When I have questions, they are always transparent and informational, explaining their process and what to expect. If I call at the end of the day/or approaching a holiday, they always offer up backup options so I know I will be taken care of should the need arise. I really do not feel that the doctors, medical assistants, receptionists and phone operators get enough credit on the day to day for what I have seen them deal with. I have referred many neighbors, friends, coworkers to SCP over the years. They just welcomed Nurse Practitioner Karen Greenhaw to the practice recently. When referring, I do let them know that may take some time to establish care at first, but it is worth the wait because they are simply the best! Thank you SCP and all of your staff!

Jan Spreier I love dr Nguyen, he is very caring and takes his time to explain things. I do not like seeing Linda, his P.A. She is abrupt and does not appear to be confident. My lower rating is because of her.

Michelle Litton Ogaidi Dr. Nguyen was attentive at first. I appreciate his philosophy. But don’t bother trying to talk to a doctor on call. If it happens to be him and “too early” in his opinion he will make it clear you are inconveniencing him. He made me feel horrible when I was truly concerned about a health situation - I simply called the exchange and they paged him. I was under the impression a doctor on call was available for that sort of thing. He said what I thought was happening couldn’t possibly be happening (which it was confirmed by another physician). He wished me luck with my issue and hung up. I never returned, never received a follow up inquiry or apology. I would never return to a doctor who made me feel that way.

Loni Leitaker Please be aware - this is important information to know before sending anyone here or to another affiliated clinic. This company owns the Loomis medical clinic which is performing insurance fraud. My family member received a bill for completely random things that were NEVER performed during his visit and was submitted to insurance. We called this office and it wasnt a mistake on their part due to the doctor at Loomis medical. The one positive thing I can say about the Grass Valley Extended Care - the office staff is extremely helpful and are going to reverse the filings to insurance. I would highly recommend looking into this before sending your loved ones here!!

Gary Swenor Todd Bouchier was my physician from 2007 to 2019. I moved to Austin Texas temporarily and returned home just weeks ago. I stopped into his office just to say hello and was told that he was too busy to see me. Really? I understand that he is not accepting new patients. Nevertheless, I expected to be treated with far more respect. Best of luck, doctor. I mean that sincerely.

Patrick E Greedy! Not to mention the bumbling mistakes, be aware of hidden expenses. During my annual, no-cost wellness exam, I asked for a prescription refill that was originally filled by a different doctor from another practice. No problem, the Rx was written and I happily picked up the prescription from my local pharmacy hours later. Approximately 3 months later I received a bill for $118 for an outpatient visit for the very same date I was seen for the wellness exam. When I called in questioning this charge, I was told that because I asked to refill a prescription that was filled by another doctor, they had to charge me for this part of the exam by billing it as an "outpatient visit" - as if I had walked out of the office and walked back in for a new visit. Do you think it could have been mentioned that this service was not part of the wellness exam? One would think so, but never was it mentioned during the exam that to write the prescription for this drug would result in an out-of-pocket charge of $118.00. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! Its like asking the waiter or waitress if I can add an upgrade to my meal and getting charged for writing the add-on to the meal ticket. Absurd. The office person coldly said that I should deal with my insurance about this. Its not about the insurance, its about your GREED Bouchier-Pritchett Family Medicine! In the end YOU lose. My money will now be going to a different practice that has some moral integrity, and I hope others reading this review will move along as well.

david owens First of all Ive never met with a doctor at this office. Always with jed who is very professional in his field as a NP. He is cordial and seems to be interested in your well being, is very condescending and provides no answers. I went in with paralysis on right side and he ordered cts and mri his office called and I did not have a stroke. Thats it. You are fine. What? Told I did not need to follow up with my next appointment. What? I will follow up. Crazy!

Carolyn Bushnell Dr. Hung is very thorough. Very thoughtful and also very caring. She listens carefully pays close attention. She doesnt joke around a lot. Shes got kind of a crappy job but I have the utmost respect for her.

Music Imagination My wife and I had 2 visits with this Doctor. My wife is the patient. We went in for a CT consultation about her utiren cancer. Both appointments Doctor Hung totally dismissed me even being in the same room not even looking at me or talking to us as a couple. I understand my wife is the patient, but we are a couple and make disitions together. I was there for support. My wife was referred to her by her primary Doctor. Doctor Hung isnt even the correct Doctor she was supposed to see. We needed a Gynecology Oncology Doctor. Doctor Hung is an Oncology Doctor only not a surgeon. What is wrong with our health care system. The only thing Doctor Hung did for my wife was explain the CT scan and get us the appointment with the right Doctor. Other than that Doctor Hung is rude and totally disrespectful with no bedside manner what so ever. She treats people like they are below her. Go see someone who has respect.

Joan Harris Dr. Hung has been my oncologist for over 3 years. She is professional and thorough. She has time when I need to further explain or answer my questions. She was willng to allow me the use of supplements during my chemotherapy, and she has been cooperative with my medical team quickly sharing information with Dr. Dealing so that I could receive the appropriate recommendation from him. Additionally, she works well with the office staff which I have found important when I am requesting my follow-up appointments and following her directions to obtain tests for review prior to upcoming appointments. Dr. Hung is conscientious to review new and changing standards of practice with regards to my cancer type. Please dont allow any possible language or culture barrier cloud your judgement of this fine doctor.

Nicole Noricks Every time I have an appointment there is an issue. From being told to get a blood test and then after going to the lab (the next day) and there being no order then the doctor’s office telling me I didn’t t need a blood test to my MRI being canceled 23 hours before it was to take place because the office wrote my insurance number down incorrectly (and blaming me for their mistake) to my medical records being sent to my childhood home I have not lived in for close to 30 years to the office failing to renew my prescription or respond the pharmacy’s request. If we were not experiencing a pandemic, I would drive to Auburn and get a new oncologist. Go elsewhere and save yourself the frustration and possibly your life. If you call to voice concern over the competency of the alarming number of errors made, you may be called hysterical. When I told Erica, the office manager, that it was inappropriate and misogynistic to call a patient hysterical, I was told I was wrong and it is a term she uses often at work. Go somewhere else and hopefully you will receive compatent and ethical care in addition to being treated with respect.

Jane Berthet This doctor cannot determine the difference between an allergic reaction on the skin and a case of full blown, life threatening cellulitis. Dr. Gaulter categorically refused to prescribe antibiotics at 2 appointments over a period of 4 days and instead prescribed an anti-histamine, prednisone and administered a steroid injection. After she had seen me for the 2nd time that week, only because I insisted that I had an infection, she was still convinced I needed a steroid injection for the skin allergy; I ended up in the hospital that evening for 6 days with life threatening cellulitis and on a constant IV antibiotic drip. Never have I been so sick in my entire life! When 10 days later I returned to the office to confront her with the hospital reports, she said with an embarrassing smirk , " I guess you did have an infection". Dr. Gaulter is adamant about being right and her refusal to listen led to misdiagnosis, the wrong treatment protocol which worsened the infection and almost 1 week of hospitalization. My advise, if shes your doctor or you are thinking about seeing her.....please find another doctor ASAP!!! Jane Berthet

Audrey Andrews Absolutely no sense of urgency. Been here waiting for 3+ hours just to be put into a room. My 2 month old baby has a 102 degree fever, and is totally miserable. He had a dirty diaper and needed to be changed, not a changing table in sight. I asked where I could change him, the nurse told me “one of the benches in the waiting room” which are filled with people, some of which are covid positive, and she’s suggesting I bring my newborn near them just so I can change him. So beyond unacceptable.

Jennifer Eubanks Definitely the worst managed hospital Ive ever encountered. We had a six hour wait in an emergent situation with no grace or kindness toward our situation. The security guard who granted access to all emergecy patients and their loved ones was so unprofessional. She refused, or was too incompetent, to answer my questions, nor guide me to see my husband who was finally placed in a bed, and she made me feel as though my familys needs were a nuisance and not worth her time. After the third interaction, I had to walk away and wait outside for my husband for another 2 hours because she would simply not assist me. I will drive any distance necessary to seek medical care in the future. Im so disappointed they actually profit from our visit. The administration needs to bring in an efficiency expert because if I ran my organization the way this facility is run, Id be terminated, and rightfully so.

Olivia Johansen I took a family member in a couple weeks ago and I was amazed by how great the whole experience was! I’ve never had an ER experience so smooth. The staff and doctors were all extremely attentive and helpful. They got him in and out within 4 hours or so and covered every basis to make sure he could safely return home that night. Going to the ER is always stressful and scary but they made it as painless as possible.

Leah I am writing on behalf of my sister, Rachel, who got care here yesterday :) Let me just tell you, this was the most pleasant experience at an ER anyone could expect. The physician, Dr. Alsup, was SO kind, friendly, informative, and upbeat. He made my sister feel so comfortable during a really stressful situation. She was seen quickly, and got informative answers soon as well. Ive never seen such efficient tests before, most, my sister didnt even have to leave her hospital bed in the ER for. Please, if possible, share my overwhelming thanks for Dr. Alsup and also the nurse who helped my sister. They were both so kind, and their humor helped lighten a scary situation. Honestly, I wish both of them worked in a PCP office, because my sister and I would both choose them 100%! I recommend completely!

Jen Avara HORRIBLE! Please read! I scheduled a check in after a 5 day hospital stay. Dr Ricky was disrespectful, unable to actively listen and disregarded my concerns. I ended up back in the ER again 3 days later. This is the second time I have met with that doctor. While waiting in the office, Dr Gill talked down to his staff. Humiliating them in front of patients. I have been a patient here for years and not one time have I been content with the service. I also feel very uncomfortable in the way patients and staff are treated in front of people. I gave 1 star because I had too. I will now go to the ER if I need to see a doctor until I can find a new primary.

Sid Page Ive really enjoyed Dr. Gill these past 3 years and I see him often. Lots of lab, EKGs, etc. without issues. Hes been very friendly and attentive in ordering diagnostics and referrals, etc. It is a very busy office and appts. can get backed up but not terribly and I really appreciate not feeling like Im being rushed out. The office staff can get beleaguered with all the activity but they have remained good natured and well intentioned through it all. If theres been a lag in service I would say its communication between the office and pharmacy and vice versa.

Paula Friedman Dr. Gill is an uncomunicative and unfriendly doctor. After seeing him the first time I immediately switched to one of his nurse practioners. His office has a rapid turnover of staff and is very diorganized They have lost my lab reports at least 2 or three times. This week I began calling the office on Monday to have a scheduling issue looked into. Between Monday morning and Friday afternoon I left 12 messages before my call was put through, told merely they were busy and short staffed. There is usually one or two kind and intelligent staff members, for the most part staff is ill-tempered and unfriendly. I am currently looking to move to a different practice and feel very badly for older patients who feel at the mercy of such a cold, mean-spoken doctor and his rude staff. His nurse practioner Jan Winz was wonderful; Dr. Gill bullied her right out the door. Shame on you Dr. Gill!

All attempts to getht hem to obey the law in California have been met with broken English "err your insurance didnt pay what we want". 10 months later of house on the phone, ZERO progress. I have to file a claim with the California Insurance commissioner according to my health insurance. The manager that deals with swope billingsaid, in so many words, the practice of ballance billing when we no it is illegal, has been raised to their legal department, and that they are aware of their process. Im other words, they know they are trying to take advantage of peoples lack of knowledge on the subject, but they can still attempt this behavior until they receive paperwork in a specific format that says this particular case is balance billing. They know it is, and know it is illegal, and the problem is exacerbated when your insurance is headquartered out of state. Im that case, your insurance cannot directly tell them to pound sand, and swope will not give up until your insurance does so.
