Lindsay Rogers I came to this ER with symptoms of carbon monoxide exposure, including lethargy, lightheadedness, difficulty breathing, nausea, and a headache. While the actual medical care I received was appropriate, my overall experience was frustrating due to poor initial triage, dismissive attitudes, and hostage-like delays in discharge.
Upon arrival, I was not immediately assessed or even asked what was wrong. Instead, I was told to sit and wait, despite experiencing symptoms that could have led to unconsciousness. It took 30 minutes to get into an ER room and another 15-20 minutes before I was seen by a doctor—a concerning delay for a potentially life-threatening condition. Once I was in a room, I received oxygen therapy, an EKG, X-rays, and a CT scan. However, the physician I saw was patronizing and dismissive, questioning how I knew my home’s CO levels despite my detector alarming at over 300 ppm. The most frustrating part was at discharge. Despite being medically stable, I was prevented from leaving until the fire department checked my home. When I was finally allowed to leave, staff made dismissive remarks about my concerns, further underscoring their lack of patient-centered care.
The medical care itself was fine, but the poor triage process, dismissive physician, and refusal to respect my autonomy made this a stressful and disappointing experience. I would not return to this ER unless absolutely necessary.

Sage Witty Cut my finger off last weekend and the nurses were awesome, best time I’ve ever had in an emergency room. Kiley and Haley took great care of me the entire time i waited for surgery. Hopefully i won’t return but if i do i hope they’re working.

skyler scudero I went to the Temecula ER last night. Now, the staff is extremely friendly but aren’t helpful whatsoever. I came in feeling like I either had an upper respiratory infection or bronchitis I also have asthma so either of those would make it flair up. I told the staff that I hadn’t been able to eat all day because I was in so much pain so after they gave me a breathing treatment the nurse gave me 3 prednisone’s knowing I hadn’t eaten knowing you’re suppose to eat when you take this and the minute I got home I unfortunately threw all of it up. Also upon my discharge, I was diagnosed with an “asthma attack” when I clearly told them all of my symptoms. Coughing, discolored phlegm, pain and trouble breathing. Save yourself the trip and go to the ER in Oceanside not only will they take what you say seriously they won’t misdiagnose you.

Scofield Andrew (Andy) 5/23 I went to the ER in excruciating pain. Spent the night in the ER and they confirmed I had life threatening blood clots. Two doctors felt I needed to be admitted. An hour later a doctor I had never seen before said I was being discharged without treatment. I told them I thought it was a bad idea. I was discharged anyway and sent home with a prescription. 5/24 I was in so much pain I had to go back to the ER. The doctor who sent me home said he was wrong about my blood clots. I was admitted and they started more tests resulting in surgery to remove the clots in my leg. The next morning the Nurse Practitioner who worked for the ER/family doctor who made the mistake of sending me home untreated decided to discharge me against my wishes and my request to use the Medicare protection. The Cardiologist covering for the one who did the surgery told me he was going to make sure I was not discharged but I was anyway and he was ignored. I went home and the pain and swelling returned worse. 5/26 I went back to the ER and they ran tests again and found out they had made a life threatening mistake again. Clots had reformed and worse in leg and lungs. They half admitted me and I have been in limbo between admitted and not since. The cardiologist team regrouped and came up with a new plan. I’m still in limbo ER and I am terrified that they will make a third mistake and kill me. I wrote a Google review and someone responded that they want to know more about their mistakes. I went to the hospital website and submitted in there Contact us that I was downstairs in the limbo ER and I would be happy to discuss their near fatal money motivated medical care mistakes. I also gave my email and phone number. I have heard nothing and it appears that they responded simply to appear as though they care about their patients. I’m still in the limbo ER while their third try in put in place but no one has reached out or just walked downstairs to talk to me. Money and bonuses are the focus not patient care even when they have made two life threatening mistakes and they don’t know if it’s fixed yet. Good doctors, specialists and nurses have told me they are trying but they are not listened to and overruled by family doctors and Nurse Practitioner who have already made two decisions that they have said were mistakes and were life threatening to me. I am terrified I am going to die to ensure profits and bonuses from financial not medical decisions. They ignored my Medicare request for more time to get it right. If I do die it will be because the CFO has authority over the medical staff. I have been going to this hospital since it opened. It used to be driven by patient care but that is gone. I’m afraid and laying in the limbo ER on a heparin drip waiting for them to kick me to the curb still medically at risk of dying unnecessarily. My 14 year old daughter is at home waiting for her dad and I am not sure I am going to get help so I can take care of her. Lost my wife, her mom, to breast cancer December 2022. Be for-warned if you need care.

Beverly J. Ortiz Son went to TVH ER because of knee pain(swollen and throbbing) that had him limping and barely able to walk but was told that since it was not a life threatening emergency they could not help him. Keep in mind that he has IEHP and so they most likely turned him away because he’s cash poor. I have never heard of an ER telling a patient that their leg would have to be severed or crushed and dangling for them to be able to help them. The doctor ACTUALLY said this. I’m appalled and disgusted with the discriminatory, ineptitude that obviously goes on at this hospital.
