Emergency Room at Dignity Health - St. Johns Regional Medical Center

() Reviews Emergency Room at Dignity Health - St. Johns Regional Medical Center:

Charlie G I’m really disappointed with the experience at this hospital. The Camarillo location seems cleaner and more efficient. We faced an excessive wait time of over three hours, only to be told that while the results were ready, the doctor was too busy to see us. I understand that healthcare professionals can be busy, but this wait seemed unreasonable and seemed more like a tactic to increase billing. Additionally, the emergency room was overcrowded with 40-50 people in a small space, which felt unsafe, especially without any visible air filtration or sanitation of seating areas. Despite multiple requests to expedite care for my mother, who was in discomfort, the staff only offered to leave notes rather than addressing our concerns directly with the doctor. This experience was very frustrating and disheartening.

Teresa Balogh Ohhh wow , thats not even the best of it they took excellent care of me Teresa Balogh, and I was in there for about 6 days a really bad Lung Infection. So yes I do recommend going to Saint Johns Hospital.

Ben Rogers If you have a broken bone or think it might be broken, save yourself time and money and go to the urgent orthopedic specialist instead. St. John’s wasted 4 hours to misdiagnosis a fracture that was actually a sprain.

Artch Yeomans On Thursday Morning around 10 AM March 21st, St Johns level of care ALWAYS exceeds my expectations from the ER triage to ER room. The nurses Nikki and the nurse filling in on her break were genuinely caring. I wished I was able to catch the other nurses name except she was so professional and caring it showed inside and out while she had business to do. I am so happy I got people who care from the guy taking me to the CT Scan which was broken but I managed to get to the other one. The fact the nurse Nikki could Instantly see I was in pain really speaks volumes. She was 100% correct. Its too easy for a Physicians assistant to assume I was okay after CT Scan showed that I had a UTi and dismissive about my pain and me passing kidney stones all night after the CT Scan. He just saw it as a UTI and maybe stones. Not cool. I asked many stones to find out theres more and not much can be done. I was still in pain but had to wait three hours in the hospital to get out just to get Vicodin from my pharmacy which is a joke at 3 hours after seeing the PA. I wouldnt mind waiting if it was an hour but 3 hours passed by after the PA had seen me. 3 hours of pain and discomfort. I would have been okay with a slow morphine shot even if they were not working well it would have helped due length of time. I will not let this lack of sympathy override what my nurses had for my well-being. Ive had a minor run in when I had my gall bladder taken out years ago here, but the nurses were my saving grace. If I could ever thank the ER triage for giving me in so quickly, I would do so. They were amazing too. Empathy kindness, and compassion are everything. All the nurses had shown great thought, good deeds, and kind words. Thank you to those who were helpful and not just merely pushing me out to get out their way and out of the hospital alone. Trust me I lost 3 thousand dollars during my stay. I really wanted to leave as much earlier as any person who lacks compassion for others to get them out ASAP. If I know if this is the mentality then so do other patients. That is a terrible model that goes against the essence of your hospitals motto. Ive been here for some emergencies and surgeries to know better. This place is above AMAZING because of Nikki.and her assistant nurse. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and my wife thanks you too. Nikki and your fill in nurse ROCK. Raises are due. What great attitudes. I love it. Who wouldnt? Dignity Health - St. Johns Hospital Camarillo

Address: 2309 Antonio Ave, Camarillo, CA 93010

() Reviews Dignity Health - St. Johns Hospital Camarillo:

Vivi B I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional medical attention and outstanding customer care my family and I experienced during my mother’s 9-day stay at Dignity Health - St. John’s Hospital. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that my mother was in great hands. The staff went above and beyond to ensure she received the best possible care. My auntie (who was our rock throughout) and I had a couple concerns but they were addressed right away. Every member of the team was not only professional but also genuinely compassionate, making a challenging time much easier for our family. I want to especially highlight the incredible bedside manners of Nurses Viri, Angie, Britany, Nicole, Juliette and a physical therapist gentleman. Each of them brought a level of warmth and kindness that made my mother feel comfortable and cared for. Their attentiveness and ability to communicate effectively made a significant difference in her recovery process. Additionally, we were fortunate to have an excellent antibiotic specialist who was thorough in his assessments and provided us with clear explanations of the treatment plan. This level of expertise and attention to detail truly stood out Overall, our experience at Dignity Health - St. John’s Hospital was nothing short of remarkable. We are immensely thankful for the dedicated team that helped my mother during her stay. Their commitment to patient care is commendable, and we would highly recommend this hospital to anyone in need of medical attention. Thank you for everything!

Dolores Spratt On Feb 4, 2025 I had a hip replacement by surgeon, Dr Quinn. I did need to stay a couple of nights because of blood pressure dropping. I felt Dr Quinn did an excellent job and the hospital staff was always there to help. I would recommend St Johns and Dr Quinn.

lebronmvp316 mvp My DR recommend me to go to the ER for a medical issue involving bleeding. The only thing they did was take blood work and then said everything was fine and sent me home.No other test were done Honestly I think I would have been better going to VCMC instead never going back again the only good thing from here were the nurses very nice except the triage nurse trying to diagnose me
