He is a brilliant diagnostician and partner for our healthcare needs. He is always there when we need him, calmly and capably helping determine the right course of action. His network is vast, and he always knows which specialists to connect with when necessary. He is very well-respected by the broader medical community. His entire practice is also super responsive and professional, from his business operations partner Sabina to his nurse and medical assistant. I couldnt recommend him and the practice more highly!

Lisa Stifelman Dr. Kroes is an amazing doctor I highly recommend. Whether you or a family member have an illness requiring specialized care or are healthy with basic medical needs, he’s the best. I first hired Dr. Kroes for my husband who had severe MS, and was at a critical stage of his illness. I remember at our first meeting how generous he was with his time, taking immediate action to put a plan in place for his care. What followed were many visits, phone calls, emails, discussions with our home nurse, supporting us through hospitalizations, and fighting alongside us for anything we needed (a specialized hospital bed, and home oxygen are just two examples). My husband’s case was very complex with a long list of issues facing us. Dr. Kroes and his staff helped at every step. Dr. Kroes started caring for me and my daughter as well. He readily responds to anything we need, plus truly caring about us. I’m not sure how you could find a better doctor.

Staff at PD are very nice and personable and more importantly they stay informed and work with me on my health needs, active concerns and Prevention! Discusses his findings and recommendations, then answers all of my questions thoroughly in an approachable and friendly manner. His staff is also cordial and helpful.

Delsheen Dahmubed Dr. Vaughan has been an absolute blessing in my life. Not too long ago he was able to restore health back into me during one of the sickest times of my life. I suffered from chronic sinusitis and tried different medications/treatments to no avail, until I went to Dr. Vaughan. The moment I met him I knew I was in good hands and instantly felt at ease. He has by far the best bedside manners I have experienced, immense knowledge and skill in his craft, and advanced technology to help with your diagnosis and treatment. Everything about his practice is top notch: 1. Making an appointment with him is easy and efficient. No waiting weeks to hear back, you will most likely be seen within a week. 2. Friendliest and knowledgeable staff. All the nurses I have met are kind, patient, effective listeners, and great at summarizing your condition to the doctor. 3. Advanced technology to better understand your condition. Each visit Dr. Vaughan will most likely put an endoscope up your nose and provide VR glasses so you can see what he is seeing to better inform your diagnosis. I appreciated seeing the state of my sinuses to better understand what was causing my issues — it provided a visual to go along with what he was saying. 4. In-house CT scanner. He is able to scan and provide a 3D representation of your head in less than 2 minutes. He will then review with you what he sees and if surgery is necessary he will explain why and show exactly what will be done. At the end he will provide you a copy of your CT scan so you can review it at home as well. I found this fascinating and felt at ease knowing clearly what was physically wrong with my sinuses and how he will fix it. 5. For my case, I needed surgery (keep in mind he is quite conservative in his approach and won’t suggest surgery unless you absolutely need it). Since I wanted to be fixed ASAP, he was able to get me a surgery appointment the next week! He knew this was my first time ever getting surgery and he truly made me feel at ease. He texted me the night before surgery to make sure I was feeling okay, reassured me everything will go well (he has done this procedure over 5,000 times), and even day of surgery he was the absolute sweetest making sure I was at ease. He is truly the kindest soul with the utmost talent. 1. Honestly, his entire OR staff was exceptionally competent and kind. I had full trust in the nurses and anesthesiologist, whom Dr. Vaughan has worked with for 20+ years, so they basically can read his mind and make the surgery go even smoother. 2. Dr. Vaughan provides you a DVD of your entire surgery, which was absolutely fascinating! 6. Surgery went very well and I was feeling back to normal in less than a week. You will need to have a few post-op appointments to make sure you are healing properly and clean out any residual blood to speed up recovery. Words cannot express my gratitude towards Dr. Vaughan. He is a true legend with magical healing powers. I always leave his office in a better mood and look forward to my next appointment lol. Please do yourself a favor and see Dr. Vaughan, he is remarkable. Thank you for everything you do, Dr. Vaughan!

S Z Only my first visit. I must return. Good impression. I feel good about being in his care. His staff is good about explaining everything before seeing the doctor. Then he is good at explaining procedure. He puts you at ease. I was in for my second visit. I have a serious condition. He did a procedure on me which was not comfortable but he made it as easy as possible. I trust him. He is a very gentle doctor. We will see if this will help. I must see him again. The procedure wasn’t enough. I have an old infection that sealed and clogged up solid my right internal sinus. I just saw him again for sinus surgery to take care of my problem. It was not an easy surgery. Some pain occurred but again he made it as easy on me as possible. Hopefully my problem is fixed. I believe this problem affected my eye health and my ear tubes. We will see. I will continually See him for post op follow ups.

She has been doing video health appts. with my mom who lives in an Assisted Living facility which is very helpful during this time of Covid-19. Lilly, her administrative assistant, is a dependable liaison between Dr. Sangwan, and I which is very important for quality care. We have been very pleased with the medical care we have received. He even gave me his personal cell number to call if I needed additional assistance. He also founded a charity based medical mission to correct pediatric lower extremity deformities in underdeveloped countries. I highly recommend him and his staff.

Paul K. Russell Dr. Lehnert has successfully treated me for 2 separate foot issues. He used a minimally invasive treatment plan that allowed me to not only continue my normal activity but completely correct the issue. He has great judgement and so much experience that he can spot potential pregnancy problems right away after listening carefully to my history. He has a very busy schedule (because he is such an amazing doctor), however, if you have urgent issues and explains to him, he tries his best to accommodate your request as soon as possible. Me and my family are so grateful for everything he has done for us!

Mika Pusurmanova If you have medical insurance for your baby, do yourself a favor and avoid this place—go to San Mateo Medical Center or Stanford instead. I should have trusted my gut the moment the receptionist on the phone was incredibly rude. But I still gave them a chance, hoping the actual care would be different. I was so wrong. From the moment we walked in, everyone (except the nurse) treated me like I had done something wrong just by being there. I’ve never felt so humiliated in a medical setting. I was already stressed about my baby’s health, and instead of help or compassion, I got attitude, cold stares, and dismissive treatment. People don’t go to urgent care just for fun—we go because we need help. I walked out of there feeling worse than when I walked in—not just as a patient, but as a person.

Its usually quite quick and easy to get an appointment (even same day for things like ear pain, etc.), the check in process is seamless (we usually walk right in). The staff are awesome and the doctors and nurses are great with kids. I never feel hurried, and I never really have to wait. Great experience.

clifton clarke My experience on Tuesday, February 26 was very good. I was late for my medical appointment, due to traffic. The receptionist at the check-in desk was very understanding and did her best to get me in. I did not wait long before I was seen by Dr ting, and his staffs.

Suzuki K I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Helen Lin, MD, at Kaiser on February 19, 2025, for the earliest available slot on February 26 at 4:30 PM in Redwood City. I coordinated my schedule with both of my jobs to ensure I could attend. Upon arrival, I struggled to find parking due to the small lot and had to park across the street, nearly making me late. After checking in at the front desk, I was directed to Lobby C, where I waited patiently. Despite checking in twice via the Kaiser app—once in person and once five minutes before my appointment—I was left waiting past my scheduled time. At 4:45 PM, only two of us remained in the lobby. The husband of a fellow patient mentioned that his wife had been waiting in the exam room for 30 minutes—for the same doctor I was supposed to see (on top of the 30 minute wait they had in the lobby) At 4:55 PM, I was finally called, only to be told I would need to wait another hour on top of the 30 minutes I had already waited. The excuse? "Dr. Lin is very thorough." While thoroughness is important, it should not come at the expense of patients time and proper scheduling. Waiting over an hour past an appointment time is unacceptable. If a restaurant made you wait an extra hour after a reservation, you would leave. Why should medical professionals be any different? Patients time is just as valuable. This level of disregard is unprofessional, and in my opinion, a failure in patient care and time management.

Kathy Greene Dr. Woo is a very warm and caring doctor. She is very thorough and explains everything that they are going to do before so you understand everything. I have had many skin cancers and a couple of surgeries do to the cancer. She has always been on top of it.I highly recommend her and the nurses are wonderful. They are very sweet.

Diana Keh I had my son here two years ago (also the 9 month ob gyn care during pregnancy). The labor and delivery team is truly exceptional. I didn’t want to leave. I stayed 3 days to recover after delivery. I received the best care of my life here and I will never forget that. Not something you would ever expect out of a conglomerate like Kaiser but that speaks volumes to the talented and kind folks who work here.

Rafael Souza I had an appointment scheduled and my medical approval was pending and when it was approved I informed them that I would call to give them the card number to compensate for the consultation fee. They informed me that I didnt need to call and they would send a message with the number so I I did so, the message was not seen and the charge was made and now they say they do not accept my insurance coverage! Because the message wasnt seen, I went to the appointment and thought everything was fine when in fact it wasnt! because if the message had been seen, I believe they would have informed me that my insurance was not accepted and I would not have gone to the appointment!

Linda The sleep clinic experience was challenging because I had considerable difficulty falling asleep. Nevertheless the technician was very flexible and able to collect enough data to make a diagnosis, My appointments (initial and follow up) with Dr. Lim were highly satisfactory and informative. She has also been very accessible via email.

Kyle Rudy If you elect to visit this clinic, insist on acquiring your own CPAP machine or on using a local vendor. The doctor did a great job, but the clinic acquired a CPAP machine from Apria Healthcare on my behalf, without offering any alternatives. This vendor has been an absolute nightmare, and sullies Redwood Pulmonary Medical Associates by association. The date when the machine rental converts to sale keeps getting pushed back, and their billing department once called me every ten to fifteen minutes for hours due to a glitch in their phone systems. They will charge you whatever their system feels like charging on any given month with no prior notice, all without ever bothering to get your signature on any agreements. After ten hours on the phone over the past year, no one at Apria seems to know how much I supposedly owe them or when the monthly charges will end. If I could go back in time, I would prevent myself from ever visiting the doctor or getting a sleep study done. The cure is far worse than the disease.

Renu Khosla I have been consulting with Dr Melissa Lim for 5 years on pulmonary and sleep issues. She has provided me with excellent advice and prescribed the drugs that have proven to help me. She patiently listens to the health issues, checks the lungs and then advises both verbally and in writing so that she is fully well understood. When prescribing an inhaler she asks me to use the inhaler in her presence so that she can guide me on using it correctly. I have full confidence in her advice and will continue to consult her for many more years.

Muhammad Jehangir Amjad I had a pretty awful experience. After making me hold for about 7+ mins, the person at the reception hung up while I was mid-sentence simply stating what I was looking for. They just said they "arent accepting new patients" and hung up without even verifying if thats what I wanted (I barely said five words about finding their contact information on the Anthem website). I understand theyre likely very busy but one should still expect bare minimum courtesy from the staff.

Marilyn Moore I have been going to Dr. Gonzalez for more than a year now. She is very caring and understanding. My only comment would be that I wish her office was more up to date with using technology. I would like to be able to e-mail her with non urgent questions or to order a prescription without having to speak with the receptionist. It would be nice to be able for them to get my test results online rather than having the lab fax them.

Jean Tech Dr. Gonzalez is the best! Staff is too! They are on top of all our appointments and billings too. She works closely together with the staff and they all support each other. You go there thinking you’re gonna have an issue that’s kind of scary, but she right away deals with it. She calms you down because she doesn’t want to take necessary test unless you really need it. She’s very knowledgeable , kind, and compassionate.

emily cavagnuolo BEST VETERINARY PRACTICE OUT THERE! Let me start my saying that I use to go to a vet in San Mateo, out of my way because I thought they were the best. Boy was I wrong! While I still love my old Dr, she left the practice so I wanted to find a closer vet to my house. This was Mid Pen Vet. From day one it was clear I had been missing out on good service for the last 20 years! The entire staff works together to make sure everyone is cared for and really helps the animals! I came with a full house and tons of medical baggage, they welcomed me with open arms and I’m no longer left wondering what I should do with my babies when they are sick. I adore Dr. Forgette, she is compassionate and knowledgeable. I have no doubt she has already extended my cats life, i had a time sensitive issue with one of his medications and she tried to move mountains to make things happen. When she wasn’t available and I had an emergency on her day off, the other Dr.s were also very helpful and I wasn’t left hanging. The front desk staff are a bunch of rockstars! I love every one of them, they are always there with a smile, listen to your issues, and relay messages, they are truly part of what makes mid pen an amazing experience. The techs also shouldn’t go un-noticed, a vital part of this seamlessly moving machine. Also, less importantly but an added bonus, the place is gorgeous! Take away here, is that you are in good hands. Peter Bouskos I came to the San Carlos PAMF Urgent Care on Saturday morning. I was taken in quickly. They took my vitals and info before the Dr arrived. Very friendly and professional. The Dr arrived just after and read my charts and examined me. She understood my condition and prescribed the medication needed and sent to my Pharmacy. This was the quickest “In & Out” of Urgent Care with accuracy and professionalism. Thank you , so much. I’m feeling better already.

susan campo Very short wait to be seen at this Urgent Care as I walked in ,no appointment. Seen by very efficient nurse taking my information and vitals. Next a very kind doctor who took my story and did examine. She ordered X-rays and they were done with short wait time, then I went home. Doctor called with results in short time and had very good outcome. Overall an excellent experience.

I had the very pleasant experience of waiting in Urgent care yesterday while listening to someone play piano music from the grand piano at the front entrance, it was amazing and soothing and peaceful. Pat Mattes I have to say that my visit to urgent care was....Amazing! I was able to let them know I was coming on their online portal and when I got there, they already knew who I was and why I was there. They immediately sent to have x-rays done where I was seen immediately. I went back where I checked in and they quickly showed me to a room and the doctor came within three minutes! Evaluation was through and they were able to provide me the necessary bracing equipment while I was there. Excellent experience and I would highly recommend them!

Nancy Hoebelheinrich Although I could not get an appointment for a visit for 2 - 3 days before and after the day I wanted to visit, I was able to see a doctor as a walk-in with a relatively short wait. The doctor and her assistants were kind and competent, and I was able to get relief for my symptoms and a reasonable treatment plan very satisfactorily. I would recommend this Urgent Care center highly.

Ann Cullen I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Khosla, and, trying to coordinate my availability and hers, it was several weeks out. While it was not an urgent issue (something I had been intending to discuss with a dermatologist for years…), I was hoping to have it resolved as soon as possible. Dr. Khosla added me to a waitlist, and I ended up being able to see her the same week. The office itself is great; very calming and welcoming. The visit was well-coordinated, and Dr. Khosla was able to assess my skin concern and perform the related procedure during the same visit. Thank you, Dr. Khosla!

Liz Dinh I’m been coming to see Dr. Khosla for over 3 yrs. and have always had wonderful service! I had been so busy with work, kids, and life in general that I had neglected my skin. Cary Yo I love Dr. Khosla and all the staff at Pacific Coast Dermatology! They all are very friendly and wonderful to talk to. It’s always a fun experience and I look forward to my visits. I’ve gotten Secret Radio Frequency/micro needling w/ platelet rich plasma, which I’ve seen improvements to my skin quality and elasticity. Thankfully Dr. Khosla offers a package deal of three treatments, so you can save $450. I also plan to come back in the Fall for C02 laser to treat my post summer hyperpigmentation. And the new location in Menlo Park will be open by then too. Can’t wait to come back again.

David Frank My appointment with Amal Salah Elsohemy MD was one of the best Kaiser experiences Ive ever had. She was engaging, completely diagnosed me properly and prescribed medication that had me feeling better within 24 hours. She was also very personable and seemed genuinely interested in my well being. I couldnt recommend her more highly. (unless you change your number scale to 1-25)

Homer Wong It was easy to set up an annual check-up. Dr Yee actually called me personally and moved the appointment up. The appointment started on time and Dr Yee was very thorough. His care and personal concern for my health was refreshing. Getting the labs done was efficient and convenient.

Sherif Elkhatib I would highly recommend Dr. Han, not Kaiser as a whole. I had a great experience with Dr. Han, he listened to my concerns and acted accordingly, requested the necessary diagnostics and conducted the required tests, which I truly appreciate. However, my experience with Kaiser’s administrative process to get assigned a primary care physician was extremely disappointing. I had to speak with multiple agents over the phone and got transferred at least 7-8 times. Some agents provided misleading information, transferring me to several irrelevant departments and at one point, to a separate institute that only transports patients to and from Kaiser. I hope Kaiser can address these inefficiencies as they can be extremely frustrating.

Tania Hall I was easily able to obtain an appointment with Dr. Marc Philippe. This was my first in person meeting and he was very easy to talk to, thorough and pleasant. Previously, though emails he has been very responsive and helpful.

John Cary I had to visit two different Urgent Care locations. I visited the Redwood City office and then the San Bruno facility. In both places I received the same treatment though. I was met with courtesy, kindness as well as professionalism. This was from the receptionist, to the assistants and to the doctors! My questions were answered in a straight forward fashion with no condescension. I really appreciate that too. Thank You so much folks!

Jennifer Wisnom I arrived when it was not busy. I was checked in and taken to exam room. My injury was taken care of without delay. I was repaired and on my way. Excellent results! I have had good luck at this Urgent Care location and would recommend to anyone needing that level of care.

leslie wong First time visiting over the past weekend. I was impressed most with the ease of getting an appointment, quality of care, and very convenient location for me. Will be a place I check first for future needs— especially given unexpected medical needs seem to come up on weekends. Only minor concern was the wait was long considering there were not many patients. The staff is friendly and the facilities are nice, so made the wait a little better.

Weisz Gellért I visited this urgent care centre with concerning symptoms, but unfortunately, the doctor misdiagnosed my condition and sent me home. I later found out that I had pneumonia, which was missed during my visit. While the staff were polite, I felt the level of care and thoroughness were lacking. I wouldn’t rely on this place for serious medical concerns.

Virginia Okabayashi Everything was fine, except that I was forgotten in the exam room. I had to go out into the hallway to determine the nature of my delay in care. The MA was not aware that a provider had not seen me, especially since there were no other patients waiting.

sara c We took our precious dog to another hospital yesterday to get an operation done for a pyometra (as suggested by another vet that did her general checkup) and were told that she was doing terribly and could crash at any moment. The doctor told us she would be unable to perform the surgery due to her severe anemia and told us she recommended euthanasia. We were mortified at this news and asked if there was anything else we could do for our poor, sweet girl. She replied the only other option would be a blood transfusion that could cost thousands of dollars but we disregarded that fact and focused on saving our dog. After making several calls asking if any emergency hospitals in our area could do this for her we found SAGE and they told us to bring her in to see what they could do after hearing the situation from the doctor. Everything went well and they were able to save our baby from the worst. We are so incredibly thankful to all the friendly and hardworking staff that were able to make this miracle possible for her. We 100% recommend SAGE to everyone, they can rest assured that their dog will be cared for and well taken care of here.

Christian Wright This is the second time I’ve had to visit Sage and both times they have done an outstanding job. This visit came 4 days after a terrible experience with VCA San Carlos. My dog was in terrible condition and they have brought the life back into her eyes while keeping me updated and allowing me to visit my tiny baby. She stayed overnight for a couple of nights and the entire staff has been amazing throughout the entire process. They’ve answered all my questions and done a thorough job on my little Lady’s bloodwork.

Mary Murphy We had the absolute best care at Sage from start to finish for such an unfortunate event. My dog exhibited signs of IVDD/ruptured disc as her hind legs started to drag and she lost control of her bladder/bowel functions. We took her to Sage under the advisement of our vet and were seen immediately for an ultimate emergency spinal surgery to remove the ruptured disc particles that were impacting her spine/neuro functions. The entire staff was wonderful from intake, updates, medical forms & financial overviews, discharge and post-op care. The front desk staff, vet techs, nurses, and surgeons were amazing! We cannot thank them enough for taking care of our sweet, anxious Mabel and getting her on the road to recovery. They all deserve to be showered with love & raises for the selfless work they do day in and day out in such a stressful, thankless environment. 1000/10 recommend Sage to any and everyone with any pet emergencies. Hoping we don’t have to return for a very long time, but if we do, we know right where to go!

Hannah Martin I used to be a patient; when I was newly 18 I developed an ED and had yet to be diagnosed when I came in to get a checkup. Dr. Sue was unaware of ED protocol and demanded I gain five to ten pounds in the next week and come back in. For context, I had lost about 50 lbs in 4 months, so gaining weight back was extremely hard, let alone 5-10 lbs in several days. On top of that, collectively, the nurses and Dr. Sue were extremely abrasive. They were extremely apathetic to my situation, I was scared for my health, about myself leaving for college, etc and they demanded I strip down to be weighed. I don’t know if you’ve had to do that, but when I questioned why, the nurse looked at me, slightly shocked, and said “You haven’t done this before?” Long story short, at the start of my ED this place was extremely apathetic, impersonal, and gave me the impression that I was sick, and worrisome, and irresponsible for “allowing” that to happen. To end the story, I was yelled at and kicked out of the office. Moral of the story: don’t expect them to care about your mental health. Have a great day.

Paul-Elie Nauleau Came here for an MRI, and although the scheduling was straightforward (if you have a prescription and insurance signs off), once I arrived things were going well until we had issues during the scan. The tech was not very helpful and although very nice, just didn’t help explain very well. Had an issue with the scanner so ended up having to repeat twice, so the whole process took ~1h30mins. Hopefully others have better experiences with functional scanner and/or more experienced techs.

Elihu Moran From the moment I step in the office, I was greeted by the front desk reception. She was helpful, professional, patient and kind. She gave me all the information i need to know and answer all my questions. There was some technicality with the orders I had from my doctor and both the technician and receptionist help me to get that sorted out. The technician performed the imaging so professionally, respectfully and in a timely manner. This is definitely the best office i have been in. This was my first time coming here, but from now on if I need any imaging, I will most definitely come back here.

Buddy Welch My visit was fine as it should be however I was having the same procedures that Ive already 3 or 4 times since the date of injury on 6/11/24. When Daily citys machine went down I rescheduled for Redwood city and was given a paper which listed the procedures I was having and the Doctor who ordered them. It read DR Roads. He was chosen as the Q.M.E. on my case and Ive already seen him two months ago. He reviewed my MRI , Scans and x rays. Before I met him. He has already told me how hurt I am and Im thankful that he did that. Otherwise I would not have none my condition. Your reports where somewhat incorrect and your staff has corrected then at the request of the Doctors involved. Certainly something is wrong with your system if I keep getting calls for appointments for the same procedures for the same injury. I would be really upset if I was responsible for paying the bill but I am not. Your staff does good work and your very convenient with multiple locations. You just need some fine tuning.
