Original: I was referred to A1 Auto Mechanics & Smog by a friend. These guys are nothing short of AMAZING! Super friendly and honest professionals with fair pricing. From the moment I walked in the door, Mehdi the owner, greeted me with kindness and an exuberant welcoming energy. I was treated as if Id been a customer there for years. He led me to the service desk and politely offered some refreshments. After that, he proceeded to take down detailed notes while he patiently listened to all of my vehicle concerns. I needed a 100,000 mile tune up, oil change as well as a thorough inspection to identify any additional repairs needed to keep my Ford Explorer running throughout the foreseeable future. Mehdi then introduced me to his mechanic Carlos who performed my vehicle inspection and reported back with his evidentiary assessment. Neither of the gentleman applied any type of sales pressure or scare tactics in regard to the evaluation. After numerous return visits, subpar performance and deceitful service advisors that I encountered at Ford, I felt like my SUV was in better hands at A1 Auto already. Carlos took the time to research a unique surging/idol situation that Ford previously concluded was a transmission issue that they couldnt resolve after two complete rebuilds. I advised him to proceed with the tune up, oil change, tire rotation, engine mount replacement, serpentine belt, engine + cabin air filter swap and most importantly, the solution to the unsolvable riddle...PCM programming. Carlos at A1 Auto successfully diagnosed a problem that the dealership technicians could never figure out. Needless to say, Im extremely impressed and couldnt be happier with the level of customer service that I received. They treated me like family, clearly exceeded my expectations and even put up with my OCD tendencies. Now, my Ford Explorer is running better than the day I got her! "Big Burtha" is cruisin in her prime and riding like a "G". Stable and smooth on the road, effortless steering control, quiet gear shifting (without the random rpm surges) and fresh smelling filtered air ready for summer. Thank you Mehdi and Carlos.
