5 /5 Alison Tacker: I would give John 10 Stars if I could!!! My Audi was having issues as I was making my way back to The Bay and I knew I wasnt gonna make it. John absolutely made the experience of breaking down the best it could possibly be. He clearly is an expert in his craft. I really appreciated his communication on what the issues were and how quickly he could get it repaired. His expertise and level setting of expectations made me feel comfortable and confident that I had found the best in the business to get me back on the road. If I lived closer, hed be the only person I would trust to work on my car. I often travel to South Tahoe, would be thrilled to schedule further maintenance at Higher Ground.

5 /5 Renny Slatkin: I was in Lake Tahoe for one day and needed an emergency repair for my Audi S4. Higher ground is the only Audi/BMW service in South Lake Tahoe and thus is extremely busy. John, the owner, provided the best service I could have wanted. Not only is he an exceptionally talented technician, hes attentive, honest and really a good guy. He repaired my car while I waited and I was able to catch a half day of skiing before driving 200 miles home. I am extremely grateful to John and would definitely have him service any of my cars in the future. I am so satisfied that I am considering scheduling a maintenance service on my next trip to Tahoe!

5 /5 Zhang Rongyu “Alan”: I came to this store out of desperation, since this was the only BMW repair shop in the entire Tahoe. Although the storeowner wasnt able to fix anything because of a missing replacement part (not his fault, I needed to get out of Tahoe on that day), the storeowner was the coolest dude ever. I need to thank him for keeping me in his parking lot and showing me gems in his shop for 4 hours while I was waiting for a tow truck.

5 /5 Crystal Ballentine: I love my car and its not your run of the mill Audi (B7 RS4) so I am very particular about where I take her for any type of service. Before coming to Higher Ground, I was driving to Reno to the dealership for every little thing. John is up front, honest, and thorough. He definitely knows his German cars! As a female, I feel like I always have to be watching my back for auto mechanics trying to take advantage of you assuming that you are ignorant about your car. Well that is certainly not the case here because John explains everything and wants you to understand what your car needs. I highly recommend this shop to anyone driving a BMW or Audi.
