5 /5 Kenny Solorio: I bought my 94 Toyota 4Runner nearly a year ago and understood there were several problems with it, but I could never identify them correctly and kept replacing part after part trying to nail it down. I took it to Autozone and other mechanics but no one had a solution. Then I was referred to Hitchcock Auto Service in Concord when I was checking out a nearby shop. The owner, Mario, was very honest about the time it would take to diagnose and fix the truck and communicated his confidence in working with older Toyotas as he had done so for over 20 years. I was reluctant to drop close to $3k, but I figured I would keep the truck and get it repaired rather than look for another vehicle that might give me worse problems.
Throughout the time it took to fix the truck, Mario was very patient and willing to explain everything to me about what was wrong with it, what it needed, why it was needed, and how long it would take.
My 4Runner still starts up perfectly after a few months since the repair and honestly saved me the headache of having to sell and look for a new car. I got to keep my favorite truck and found a great mechanic for any maintenance or repairs I need down the road. I can’t recommend Hitchcock Auto Service enough especially if you have an older Toyota. Check them out!
