5 /5 Adam Shishani: My 1991 Corolla had a blown head gasket so I removed the cylinder head from the car and brought it in to get it properly inspected. This was the first time I took on a project like this on a car, so I asked the manager for advice on how to proceed. He clearly knows what hes doing; he immediately knew which engine my car has, made sure I had a special service bolt installed on the exhaust camshaft, and pointed right where the gasket was blown. For a very fair price of $240, I decided to get the entire cylinder head virtually remanufactured and the work was done in less than a week. He also discovered that somebody in the past attempted to resurface the gasket surface by hand, judging from the various high and low spots. Looks like we found the culprit!
I put the engine back together and it runs beautifully now - probably as good as it ever ran. Its been well over a hundred miles and the engine shows no signs of breaking down any time soon. Should I ever need any other parts serviced, Id definitely come back here.
