5 /5 Steven Hodges: I was admitted last week with a collapsed lung and had the VATS procedure done. I had such a wonderful experience with everyone that I had an interaction with that Mercy San Juan will always have my love. The doctor was very open and upfront about everything that would be done, how I would be feeling and what recovery would be like.
But like any great hospital, the nurses truly made the experience great. Every single nurse whose shift I was on was nothing but compassionate, encouraging, exceedingly helpful, and incredibly genuine in their care. I never once felt like any one of them was just doing a job, it felt very much like that was where they wanted to be and what they wanted to be doing. I am so terrible at remembering names and a few days are hazy, but Christina (Kristina?), Rayv, Luda, Steven, Eric (who fixed my bandage one night). Again this is a very small list because Im bad at names, but if you were on shift on my floor between 2/3/25-2/7/25 know I appreciate you.
Even the nurses who didnt know me, that just saw me walking the hallway to get some steps in were always so encouraging and sweet.
Even the cleaning crew. They were always so friendly and wished me a speedy recovery and it never felt scripted, they just wanted me well.
Thank you all so much for your kindness and Im certain with your hearts, you can heal the world. ♥️♥️
