5 /5 Joseph Ernest: UJCC Arts and Crafts Festival. This is a fun event for the family, lots of polite, friendly folks. Paintings, jewelry, sculptures, high-end knives, etc., etc. As you enter the church, there is a table where they sell tri-tip plates, prepackaged in Styrofoam containers stacked halfway to the ceiling. Youd probably need to take one home and microwave it if tri-tip appealed to you. There was mochi, shaved ice, spam sushi, other sushi, sushi rolls, teriyaki vegetables, chicken teriyaki bowls and a few other delicacies on offer.
The parking lot was full, but we found street parking pretty close to the entrance. There is no entrance fee. There were drumming demonstrations and performances, dance performances, music performances all well worth watching and listening to.
