Coconut Point Sanctuary - Melbourne Beach (FL)

5 /5 Dez Lezotte: Lovely spot for a quick (1 mile) hike with boardwalks. Entrance is free. The middle 1/3 of the hike is a shaded maritime hammock among tropical plants. We went in March, and there was no water under the boardwalks.

5 /5 Kaleb Lukas: Great trail, park at Juan Ponce de Leon Landing and walk across street. soft sandy trails and hard board walk with great view of the tropical jungle and wildlife, as well as the lagoon and beach.

5 /5 Kelly Holman: We only walked to the lagoon bench look out but saw lots of wildlife on the way! Several turtles were by the road though, I feel like there needs to be more signs for people to be wary of them. Lots of water birds if you’re in to birds and definitely an osprey nest close to the look out ! What a hidden gem .. more of the coast should be preserved like this !

4 /5 G Missy (MissRailfan): The entrance across from the Juan Ponce parking lot. There was no shade till the rd for the SeaWorld place DONT TRESSPASS. Other then that it was a nice walk. Saw tortoise at the rd. Didnt see any gators in the swampy area. Nice hike. It is 1.0 if you count the walk back to the parking lot.

5 /5 Liz DeHaan: Wonderful sanctuary. Mile hike or walk between the ocean and Banana River. Flowers adorn scrub area year round. Small oak hammock. Several overlooks over water, sunrise and sunset.
