4 /5 Stori Henderson: I recently visited North Okaloosa Medical Center and had a mostly positive experience, despite a few minor issues. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with kindness and professionalism by most of the staff. The physician, nurses, ER Tech, and radiology team were all wonderful. They were attentive, compassionate, and made sure I was informed every step of the way. My diagnosis wasn’t the best, but the care I received made a difficult situation much more bearable.
One area that could use improvement was the nurse in triage, who seemed a bit irritated. Her demeanor wasn’t as welcoming as the rest of the staff, which was a bit off-putting, especially at the beginning of the visit. However, this was a small hiccup in an otherwise positive experience.
I was also disappointed that the vending machines weren’t functioning properly, but ER Tech Joseph went above and beyond by bringing my spouse and daughter cold bottles of water, which was a kind and thoughtful gesture.
A special thank you to Katie, Bill, Callie and Maria for the compassionate care you provided. Your kindness didn’t go unnoticed, and you truly made me feel like I was in good hands. Thank you for caring with your hearts – it made all the difference in my visit.
