Sulphur Springs Water Tower - Tampa (FL)

5 /5 Al Mich: Great place to visit, beautiful scenery, view of the river and the iconic tower is spectacular. There is a trail along the river that take you to th Sulphur Springs Park and under the 275 expressway. Bring you camera, there is a lot of wildlife ready to have their picture taken. Caution, very few visitors, maybe due to a few caraters that seen to have mental or drug issues. My advise is to never visit the place alone and do not interact with the mentioned individuals.

4 /5 Janna Rolfe: This is a nice little park. The historic water tower is pretty right by the river. If you walk down the river you can see Ibis, ducks, herons, gators and turtles. A walk down the river takes you to the Sulfur Springs Pool park which is also nice to enjoy when it is nice outside.

5 /5 C4Explore: This was a cool little random find for my brother and I to visit while in the Tampa area. Not a whole lot to the park (regretfully we didnt go over to the river), but it features a nice sized parking lot, natural beauty covered in Spanish moss, and, of course, the old standpipe tower! I was hoping to access the top, but they have it pretty well sealed...but the gothic carvings were neat, and the tower quite photogenic. Apparently they light the top up at night, too.
