5 /5 Vanessa Hynds: I had the best mechanic experience Ive had to date with Average Joe Auto Repair. I cant recommend Joe enough. He is a honest, fair price individual, which unfortunately, seems to be hard to find in the car mechanic world these days. My car was shaking and rattling due to needing motor mounts replaced. Joe fixed the issue and my car has been driving smooth since.

5 /5 Sohee Jang: I took my car in because of loud noise while driving on the highway. I thought it was a pulley issue, but after checking, the mechanic explained it was the hub bearing and fixed it. Now the noise is gone, and he also told me the engine isnt in great shape, but nothing to worry about yet. He was very kind and made sure I understood everything clearly, even though English isn’t my first language. I really appreciate his help and would come back again.

5 /5 Heather Broome: I called on a Thursday evening and he was able to take my car in just an hour. He was very accommodating and was able to replace my starter and return the car on Friday. He also inspected the car and topped up the low oil as a courtesy. He was very nice and fast, and his price was very reasonable. Hell definitely be my go-to mechanic from now on.

5 /5 Debbie Skinner: Joe is extremely professional and honest about what your car needs and won’t charge you for unnecessary things like most places. And if a repair is not truly needed yet, he will take the time and effort to explain it in detail, instead of just handing you a thousands of dollars estimate like most places. He’ll even show you what’s wrong with your car (dirty filter etc) and treats each interaction like a teaching experience to increase your car knowledge. Most honest mechanic I’ve found in Champaign and/or Chicago area. 100% recommend
