Katharine ODette There is absolutely no doctor better than him. I have the highest expectations, and he exceeds them. He is incredibly smart, good at what he does, always open to discussing alternative options, and easily accessible and approachable. I trust him and his expert opinion on everything. My husband jokes, “How do you think we picked out our fence?” As if I ask him advice on everything. I usually think I’m smarter than most doctors but I defer to this one on everything. He even realizes more things on my heart testing results then even my cardiologist. He is all my doctors in one. I use my nephrologist as if he is my primary care physician. Incredible! No one like him! One of a kind!

Peaceful Being This is one of the most caring specialist, Extremely thorough, listens to concerns. Of course, we all wish our different specialists and doctors were like this. This is what it means to take an oath. God blessed him with compassion and patience. I highly recommend him to anyone.

Colin Ghira The visit was a great experience. The staff and the doctor were very professional and punctual. James was very detailed and explained every single issue at length, to the point that I was comfortable with the prognosis when I left. He even went above and beyond and gave me advice on how to approach other areas of my health, unrelated to his specialty. This is something you dont find easily in todays medical field. He is definitely one of the best doctors around.

Angel D The reception/check-in lady was courteous, professional and friendly. My wait time was approx. 6 mins. The nice surprise was that Dr. D came and personally called me in from the waiting room. He took my vitals himself. So much better than being shuffled from one person to the next and then finally to see a dr. He went over my entire medical history and allowed me to ask questions without being condescending. He was friendly, took plenty of time to explain my condition, medications and course of treatment and follow up. It was an absolute pleasure to visit with a Dr who realizes your concerns and puts you at ease immediately. He made my 1st visit stress-free by showing his compassion and concern.

Yanelin Gonzalez I’ve been going to Dr. Drakakis for 2 years now, he is honestly the best nephrologist ever!!!! Anytime I have an appointment to see him I never feel rushed and he explains everything thoroughly. Very compassionate and kind person! He is the true definition of what a Doctor should be.

Syed Dr. David Shin is an excellent surgeon with great communications skills. Not knocking him, but for a common procedure that lasted less than 1 hours, NYU billed my insurance company $85,000 not including anathesia and pathology. NYU kept billing for 6 months after the procedure. While my insurance company didnt pay the outrageous billed amounts, God help you if you have no insurance or so so insurance. Whats worse, NYU asks for donations after their outrageous billing. You cant make this up Disclaimer: Actual patient and this is my opinion.

Renee B I have never meet a Dr. who is so concerned and caring with the patient as Dr. Shin. I just had a intestinal hernia repair robotically done by Dr. Shin, my previous surgeon didnt want to touch me due to breathing issues. Twice he was to perform surgery starting with last year and April of this year only to tell me that I could be on a ventilator for the rest of my Life!!!! Some how by the GRACE OF GOD I found Dr. Shin, it is only 3 days after the surgery and I am a little sore in my abdomen but other than that I FEEL GOOD!!! Thank you Dr. Shin

Morris Newman Dr Shin is an amazing surgeon. He explained the entire process on our first meeting and made me feel very comfortable. He removed my gall bladder two weeks later. I felt NO PAIN AT ALL after the procedure. I could hardly believe it was even done. Thank you Dr Shin and your entire staff for an wonderful job I couldnt be happier with the result.

Rosalie Excellent excellent surgeon. Really knowledgeable and highly skilled. Had robotic bilateral inguinal hernia repair and gallbladder bladder removal at same time. His surgery was great, relief of miserable colitis symptoms and minimal post-op pain. Will need another surgery soon and will be going back to him.

Amy Eisenberg The most disappointing Doctor my family has ever gone to. The communication is awful. I left a ton of messages and the doctor hasn’t called back. My daughter was sent for a test to figure out why she is constantly nauseous but the CT scan she had to drink a thick milky like substance and she was too nauseous to get it down. I called and got the PA and asked. She said she would speak to the doctor and call back. Weeks ago and we still haven’t heard back. Called the office again and asked to speak specifically to the doctor and expressed how my other calls weren’t answered and that I am very upset by the lack of communication. She said she would pass this along to the doctor and still no call back. Went to Dr Preehta for help and answers as my daughter has been nauseous for 4 years and no one can figure out why. What a complete waste of our time and money and so beyond disappointed in this doctor. Just awful the lack of care and communication.

It’s very hard to speak to her directly, she never gives her patients time, and their whole office is always disorganized. My gut health issue still remains and the only thing she pushes for is endoscopy or procedures that she makes money on. I would save your time and find a better gastro

lisamarie7574 Dr. Preeti Mehta is AMAZING...so engaging, so receptive to your thoughts and concerns and so very understanding. The only reason I have rated the office 4 instead of 5 stars is that at the last appointment, the staff was running SO behind that I wasnt taken until nearly an hour and twenty minutes after my scheduled appointment time. In the future, a phone call or text to the patients when the office is running behind like that would be greatly appreciated. Other than that, I highly recommend her!!!!!

Cassey Gangaram I would not recommend this place AT ALL. DO NOT COME HERE, I HAD THE WORSE EXPERIENCE with Dr. Preeti and her staff. I came in for a colonoscopy consultation for my mom and it was a complete waste of time. After taking the day off to bring my mom here for the consultation, we were HANDED OFF TO A PA and NEVER GOT TO SPEAK WITH DR. PREETI. Reading the reviews here, now I see that this has happened to others (they said this was a one time thing & she was busy with another patient). The consultation was basically me asking multiple questions. If I didnt have any questions the consultation would have been a lot shorter due to their lack of motivation and information shared. The consultation happened in a room in a basement, not the nicest place as it was cramped as well. My mom was fully on the table with her stomach out being examined by the PA while other PAs were KNOCKING & OPENED THE DOOR WHILE MY MOM WAS BEING EXAMINED. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL & A VIOLATION OF PRIVACY! I voiced my frustration on why would I not be able to see the doctor for the consultation and before the procedure and their resolution was a phone call later. A doctor who really cared, would have given us a time where we could meet for a proper consultation and not be handed over to a PA. What was the point of paying a $75 copay to meet with a PA. The PA also left and never said bye, then handed us over to an Office Assistant. WHY IS AN OFFICE ASSISTANT ANSWERING MY QUESTIONS, & THE PA IS GONE ? Later that day, the doctor called and apologized for not meeting with us because she knew this was highly disrespectful. At this point, the phone call was everything that shouldve happened in person at the time of the appointment. So yeah, a waste of time. -I lost a day off from work and $75, but its ok because I learned if this is how I was treated for the consultation, this is not the right doctor for the procedure. We did not continue with making the appointment for the colonoscopy. I CAN NOT FATHOM HOW IT IS ACCEPTABLE TO SCHEDULE A PROCEDURE TO THIS MAGNITUDE WITHOUT MEETING THE DOCTOR PERFORMING IT BEFORE. This is a medical procedure, not something a phone call should suffice. Would you get a medical procedure done on your body based off a phone call ? Without meeting the doctor that would be performing on you ? I dont think so , & that is what will happen if you go to Dr. Preeti. For example : If you were getting a tattoo (something not as important as a medical procedure), even then you would meet your tattoo artist first to describe the process. DISRESPECTFUL TO THE HIGHEST LEVEL !!!

Bernard F. I came here because I was referred by my medical doctor for an eye infection. The place was situated 3 blocks from the Mineola bus terminal so getting here was a breeze. The office was cleaned and air conditioned . I was seen by Dr. William Bozeman MD that gave me a thorough examination and an explanation of my needs. I was prescribed 2 medications and given a prompt follow up appointment for next week. Dr. Bozeman and the staff were professional and attentive to my needs. I look forward to coming here next week.

Jennifer Guevara So sad to say that this medical office is not professional at all. Patient care is not on their top priority. You have an appt and are seen three hours later. Than doctor walks in to be with you for five minutes and than leaves you with scriber supposedly telling you all the instructions but doesnt do her job as well. If doctor prescribes new medicine and you are to start it good luck trying to get them to call it into pharmacy on time. And if its in a Friday its worse. The email that doctor provides doesnt work because we emailed it and no answer back. Was not able to tell doctor of the problem that happened in last appointment until you physically see her in the next appointment. A lot needs to be changed in this office.

Tasia Ahuja Smith Staff is very nice, doctors are knowledgeable, but somehow even a simple appointment takes at least 1.5 hrs with a lot of waiting in the waiting room between basic intake tests and seeing the doctor. 2nd time in 2 weeks that I am sitting here just killing time and having to cancel work meetings that I scheduled for 2 or 3 hrs after my appointment time. They are definitely overbooking themselves. (I originally left a 3 star review but it is dropping to 1 star because I’m still here waiting!)

Susan Gillette I called yesterday and made an emergency appointment. I was asked my insurance and I gave them both. I completed the check in online. This morning I arrived and was told they don’t take vision insurance and my medical insurance required a referral. Would have been nice to have known this when I scheduled the appointment. I was offered the option of paying out of pocket…. Ummm no. I have TWO insurances for this. So now I’m in another day of pain and impaired vision since my eye is so swollen.

C PAGS I cant tell you how great the staff at this hospital was when my 6 year old son had to have a procedure done. He usually does not make the best patient and HATES needles. Nurse Steiner and Nurse Kinch went above and beyond making him feel as comfortable and calm as possible in recovery, that he didnt shed one tear...even after finding the IV in his hand when he woke up from surgery. They were so wonderful, attentive and professional. Truly the best. Everybody in that unit were so friendly. I am so happy with my my experience, and thankful for all the doctors and nurses who assisted that day.

Lego “Google user” I went here as part of a Covid19 pre-screening before an operation a few days after. If you must drive, this place doesnt have free parking. Masks are required and are still mandatory. There was no wait time, and service was efficient, and the staff was professional. Restroom was available, and the main entrance was wheelchair-accessible. This facility was well lit, and limited seating in the waiting area

R. Drew Davis The Endocrinology dept at 101 Mineola Blvd. has impressed me with persistent frequent follow-up on my diabetes. The staff even greets me when I return, apparently remembering me. Thats kind of rare in large busy offices, so thumbs up for their having the right attitude and paying attention to the people, not just the blood tests.

Cindy Kski Kickbacks is all I have to say Awful all about money and not patient care. They are in network but took blood in office and sent to out of network labs without my knowledge or concern and when I questioned them they said we are contracted with them. This included my genetic testing which my last pregnancy a previous provider sent to lab in network and was covered 100 because of my age but here. They just put me in medical debt without my knowledge or consent resulting in over $15,000 in charges who can afford that, I had great credit before this. Really disgusting doctors especially Paul Hussler who when questioned about forcing unnecessary out of network test, threatens harm to a 37 week high risk disabled pregnant patient … do yourself a favor don’t go ti this office unless you want to be overcharged. A year later I am still dealing with billing issues that any other office would’ve resolved!! This has not only caused a financial hardship but sever emotional distress!!

I’ve been coming here for several years, and all throughout my pregnancy, and haven’t had an experience where I felt the office staff weren’t helpful or friendly. I also love my doctor, Dr. Nodelman, but would easily see any of the other doctors at this practice (and did throughout my pregnancy). I would highly recommend!

My Brooklyn Pilates I had a good experience with most of the doctors here, with Dr. Husserl being the exception. He openly contradicted one of the other doctors regarding current protocol for inductions (the other doctor was in the right). My final pelvic exam prior to delivery was the worst ever and performed by him. Luckily, at 39 weeks I labored at home with a doula, arrived at the hospital just in time to deliver, and Dr. Ventimiglia was on call the night my son was born, so I never had to see Dr. Husserl again. Five years later and expecting my second, I’m sad to see this Dr is still with this practice but happy I chose a midwifery practice the second time around where bedside manner, professionalism, and compassion are incomparable.

P I am a patient of Dr. Nodelman and needed to be seen urgently so I was scheduled to see Dr. Paul Husserl. Paul was dismissive, disengaging, condescending, and overall a really bad clinician. He did not bother to ask me any questions relating to my concern like scale of pain, frequency of occurrence, or its interference with my daily life. I emphasized to him repeatedly how much pain I am in when my condition flares up to which he responds "well thats not that bad". As a man who has not experienced any acute or chronic pain in the reproductive area, his lack of empathy was truly astonishing. I feel bad for his regular patients that they have to deal with such incompetence and lack of empathy. He refused to order lab work, diagnostic imaging, or any further testing at all even when I requested it. A really bad clinician, I would not recommend him.

Polo Vice Best Breast Surgeon Doctor with the Hands of God in her. Truly, She made a miracle of my existence until now. She really care and treat her patients meticulously with empathy and professionalism as well. Very positive and never let you feel any doubts and fear whatsoever. I’m happy and glad she is my Doctor.
