snake plissken Deplorable. Seeking a doctors visit and refill of prescription, I made the appropriate appointment. Upon arrival, I was turned away and told to drive to Patchogue for care. After a brief discussion with the utmost rudest desk clerk, I conceded and made my way to Patchogue. At the Patchogue facility I was treated pleasantly and expeditiously. As for the Patchogue reps, nothing short of rude and dismissive. In short we served. We are only looking for the care afforded to us by by the DOD. Stop worrying about health care for illegal aliens and start treating the Vets of America.

Cathy Clayton It is unfortunate that some of the staff at the Shirley office are rude/unprofessional in the way they spoke to a family member of the patient. Juliana (front desk) and Michele (medical assistant) were both snippy and discourteous. I was quite disappointed and frustrated. In addition, I asked for a return call from my fathers doctor, which I did not receive. Perhaps no message was left. My question needed a prompt answer (as I explained), yet no one called back. Since this incident left me with an uneasy feeling, I decided to call another office and schedule the specific test. I never got a call back, even though Michele said someone would get back to me -- that day. It is vital to have staff that are willing to listen to the issue at hand, answer questions, and not be curt or snippy.

vixen3737 Unprofessional went there for my appointment got messages ,calls to verify the appointment I get there and they tell me my Dr called out sick last minute and they messaged me which they never did the check in person asked if I can cone in tomorrow I cant I made this appointment on the 21st which is a day I work ..If this is how this office is ran they better get a new office manager they could of used a thing called a phone and call the patients directly and explain the Dr is sick and was last minute understandable it happens other offices actually call the patient..Not this place Seeiously I place this on the management ..First time there and my first impression go to some other Northwell Office where competent people are in charge...

G Juma Came in with a cough, runny nose, dry eyes, and body ache. I was seen by Dr Duffy. She came in unprepared and didn’t look at my record on the online system. She prescribed a yellow pill and she informed me that it works on some patients. Not sure why a Dr gives out medication to patients that has 50% chance of working. I took a full day of dosage and did nothing for me. Next day I called the office early AM and asked for a different medication. Late PM, I called the pharmacy and was informed the Dr didn’t call new medication in. So I called the office and asked that my health got worsened and I was informed that Dr Duffy is not in the office and will return tomorrow and she definitely will get back to me. Three days later, no words from the office or Dr Duffy. For a medical organization like this, I was totally disappointed that there is no backup Dr to take on writing me another script. Very unprofessional treatment of patients and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone I know.

Fran Lebowitz From the moment I entered the waiting room I immediately noticed the cleanliness of this facility. The front desk was very friendly and Joan was helpful in getting my CT prescription to me. My wait time to see the doctor was 5 minutes. Amanda took my vitals, my medical history and my lab work (which was painless) Amanda is very soft spoken, calming, and we’ll informed. Dr. Duffy was great, very approachable, and addressed all of my concerns. I felt very confident in her hands, so I have decided to change my primary care physician to Dr. Duffy.

Michelle Bottomley Fabulous walk in experience. Front desk was very polite and personable. Amanda was just so kind . Did not wait long to be seen. PA Roland was awesome! He listened to my concerns and gave me insight how to deal with my sinus issues early before they get out of hand. The office is incredibly clean very modern up to date. Finally found a place with that hometown feel. I’m definitely going back for all my health care needs.

Yvonne Breuer Dr Abrar is a very smart passionate doctor. He listens to all your problems and does not rush you. My husband and I have been going to him for many years and would not consider seeing any other Dr.

Mary Haeseker Best endocrinologist in town. He takes his time and is very thorough in his exams. Takes symptoms seriously and explains his conclusions in detail. My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Abrar for five years And have been extremely satisfied with the outcome of his care.

Diane Dinnigan I was a patient of Dr Abrar for about a year. Every single visit was an ordeal but it was the last visit where I decided that I could no longer take his abuse. My medical history is complicated and he actually told me and I am not paraphrasing here that I was stupid because I had to have 4 lumbar surgeries in 9 years. He said it was my fault for choosing these doctors. He was completely unaware of what the surgeries were for and who did them. I do not recommend going especially if you are a woman.

(10) Reviews Stony Brook Medicine Quannacut Outpatient Services:

Virginia Cleary `Hi my Name Virginia, and I have been a client at Quannacut outpatient in Riverhead I have beeen attending over 2 years now. I was assigned a counselor named Morgan Mecalianos, and boy did I hit the jackpot! I have to admit the 1st 6 months I barely attended and when I did I was still was in active addiction and struggling with mental health. I was in a very dark, dangerous and place. I was being evicted facing a homeless shelter and silently suicidal. I was eventually received an intervention by family and went into ELI Quannacut hospital under Dr. Hoverkemp’s care, Morgan helped convince me a higher level of care would be beneficial and I had the option off going in voluntarily to straighten out my mental health meds. I was already sober at this point. having moved I was away from people places and things that contributed to my using. I had been making some groups and being to form a relationship with my therapist. I began to trust the woman that I in the beginning sat in judgement that she was younger than me, would never understand me or be able to tell me anything I didn’t already know. Boy did I have another thing coming. The way she went about helping me with my medications was in a way that gave me a sense of empowerment, she gave me a choice, her at Dr. H let me be a part of my treatment plan. I came out and continued to listen in groups and develop a trust and respect for all the coping skills I was learning, all the patience she had with me. She believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. She told me I was smart, she told me I was capable, she kept challenging me with finding passions, things I today enjoy. Gardening, painting, coloring, the love of animals, reading and the urge to help others who once felt as hopeless as I felt. Morgan went over and beyond we she helped set up transportation, she taught me to take care of by health (Gastro, neurology, pysical therapy and my first ever mammogram at 56 yrs old and know waiting the dentist). Morgan has given me so much insight to myself and my mental health diagnosis what triggers it how to combat it with many coping skills, how to eliminate anxiety and a deeper understanding of who I was and what I was becoming, a strong confident and now responsible member of society. I share with others what I learn and pass on valuable life saving skills. Morgan has helped me to prepare to go to school which I should be starting soon. Numerous phone calls, paperwork and faxes on behalf of me. Incredible. The things I have learned and continue to learn will benefit me for years to come. I especially appreciate how she tellls me what I need to hear not what I want to hear. Staying healthy, I have worked through my short, medium and now am in my long terms goals. The maintenance part of my life, I live most days very content and I know I am thriving. I have hopes and dreams and that has been because of this kind ,smart empathetic but no bullshit kind of counselor excuse the language but these disorders are a matter of LIFE AND DEATH. I am forever grateful for Morgan and look forward to doing deeper work with her and DR. H. They have given my a life beyond my wildest dreams. I have a forever home here at my mothers I have become an asset. I learned to be responsible for others it’s not all about me anymore but I try always to put my mental health first or I am good to no one. I can’t wait for school, My fin. Aid went threw and I look forward to helping and giving others the hope i have Thank you Morgan. The words dont feel adequate to how my mind, heart and soul feel. This was the best way I could express my gratitude. Virginia cleary

April This would be an excellent center for treatment if Psychiatry there was different/changed. Many get the best care possible by their therapist, and in groups but then need to deal with one of the Psychiatrists. One who is angry before you even walk through his door. You may want to choose telehealth instead, (to avoid the anxiety of walking into an office where your providers attitude is unpredictable). And sitting in an overcrowded waiting room where everyone in rushed in and out. Then, youre encountering another challenge. A phone call instead of telehealth, which will last (literally), 2-3 mins. Hell quickly say hello, then explain how busy he is and wants to know what meds need to be called in. God for bid youre not well and need a med change. Then youre screwed. Thats it.. thats your monthly, or bi-monthly appointment. Be aware of medical gaslighting as well.

Kiyana Wilson Quannacut Outpatient is Great but I must say the sober house which I lived for the past 4 months was horrible and its not even the people that live there but quannacut staffing and rules. They discriminate people for talking about their religion even using the word God kicking people out. A few people they kicked out, and I understand we are grown and have to be accountable for our actions but they kick people out and these people are losing their lives. They make it very hard for people thats in recovery. If you need to go to court or DSS shopping wash clothes they wont even give you a bus token most of us woman dont have income. I thought quannacut was there to help people but in most cases lately they w just been making things so hard I hope they get things together and to the person that got kicked out and is now living on the streets just because he was talking bout the Lord but making every group and not using man you should sue them !!!!

Thomas Ryan I’d love to add to my review Hannah, Bella, Michelle and I believe Mary at the front desk. As well as dr. Bhattacharya who has taken over the reigns for me from Dr. Asif with also Dr. Delucia and I’m more confident with every visit, phone call, confirmation. These teams help allow me to focus on the other behavioral techniques I need too. I’m serious when I say I would give my doctor, Dr. Asif 10 stars if I could. It’s nice to see familiar faces like Dr. Constantine from when I was at inpatient. I had the gift of meeting Dr. Asif on my birthday. This professional not only became a huge advocate for me and allowed me to advocate for myself.Dr. Asif has seamlessly moved me from my hospital medicine as I call it into more functioning medicine for my bipolar disorder. I haven’t felt this good in 7 months. I never planned on going away and spent 33 days in the acute psychiatric ward. The feeling heard and lessons learned, and books suggested. Overall communication/service was far exceeding my expectations even though the staff at the inpatient was excellent too you can tell the Stonybrook team is a well oiled machine. Dr. Asif is a prime example of that and calmness to the next level, that says a lot with a high nervy patient like myself. With high regards I say thank you doctor. The motivation provided by this team member for somebody like me that was not okay when I left truly helped bring me to another level. Plenty more work to do, however, I would be disappointed in myself if I let him down. Relationship building and feeling heard is huge. Again a great example of a leader and what SBU psychiatrics is all about in my opinion. I’m shocked with the performance with Dr. Asif. Always logical reasoning, ability to say no, however game plan alternatives and as long as you are serious he will steer you in the right direction. Thank you sir. It means a lot more than you would think.

ANNE HAQ You couldn’t get a better doctor anyway she listens to your knees. She discusses everything with you by your part of the decision process, and she has always helped me no matter what my problem has been and it’s easy to get an appointment and very very nicely located and the staff is also very sweet.

RoseAnn Gallo I have been a patient of Dr. Brook for 12 years, and he is simply the BEST!! Dr. Brook is very knowledgeable, caring, always LISTENS, and treats the whole person. His new office at 300 Old Country Road in Riverhead is beautiful, clean and so well run by his professional, friendly staff. They draw blood for tests at the office, which is a plus. I cant say enough good about Dr. Brook. He is like a trusted friend, and I feel very blessed to have him as my physician. Highly recommend!

Donald Nunemaker Dr Bellamy Brook has been my primary physician for over 20 years. There is no other doctor I would want as my primary. He is so knowledgeable and has a very kind compassionate heart and he always has a smile on his face. I never feel rushed and he always explains everything in a way I can understand. And his staff are all wonderful he is the type of family doctors that were around when I was a kid thank you Dr Brook for always being there for me God bless

Judy Krizsan I saw the nurse practitioner, Valerie. She had such a rotten attitude. Valerie talked down not only to me, but to my daughter as well. It took her 4 days to send my blood pressure medication to the pharmacy, and she failed to let me know. I spoke with Dr Brook briefly and he seemed like a pleasant guy

C Front desk is rude, the rest of the staff is friendly. Was running late for my appointment due to an accident on the road which led me the completely different way. You would think in explaining something so simple, that they wouldn’t question you on it. She gave me a hard time to keep my confirmed time. I show up not even 3mins after my appointment time, they still made me wait 20mins. Because the technician was running behind…so explain to me what was the point in telling me you were going to cancel my appointment when you where already running behind??? Front desk and clinical staff clearly don’t communicate..probably not coming back after this…

Kristen Ebert Dr. Buckley is one of the best around. He is knowledgeable and understanding. He took the time to explain the pros and cons of my supplements and their effects. I arrive 20 minutes early for my first appointment and I did not wait for 1 minute. The PA was welcoming and very intelligent! Great experience.

Rachelle Chills Avoid at all costs going here. Staff seemed nice at first ,all an act. They dont really care about you (nurses or doctors) it is really a joke and the wait time is horrendous. (Esp for follow ups they really put you on the back burner) if you need to reach someone in billing be prepared for them to never call you back, or even find the answer for you until you call them 20 time. Doctor Donahoe really seemed like it was his first day working at every appointment, he sounds reasuring but hes very unethical and not practical in any way. Just avoid this practice unless you want to develop worse health.
1 /5
Richard Laffman The front desk was very friendly and wait time was just fine...however...Dr. Mazzucchi is absolutely horrible..way too many issues to write here. There is a reason he is not booked months ahead like the rest of the cardiologists in this group. This man needs to retire. If you go to this practice avoid him at all costs but dont expect to get an appointment anytime soon, cause the good ones are booked.

K Manion Office is disorganized and wait times long. Have had 2 tests done and have yet to hear from my doctor. The first test fell apart and was told to come back to have the leads reattached. When I showed up, I was told no by the front desk with a line out to the door. At the time of the second test, i was told I would be contacted by the end of the day or the next. When I called the office after 4 days they gave me a specific date 4 days in the future for when my doctor will call me. Again...disorganized

Matt K Currently one star based off first impressions. May change after actual appointment. 1. Their phone menu is the most patronizing woman I’ve ever heard in my life. Just seems like she’s being extremely sarcastic in how she delivers the menu options of who to dial. 2. Their waiting queue is absurdly forced. They tell you every 2-3 minutes while you wait in the queue if you’d rather wait with a callback or if you’d like to wait in the queue still. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. That’s really excessive. I can understand maybe once every 10 minutes wait period, but every 2-3? I think they do this in hopes that people don’t pay attention to their information and fall off the queue or they get so annoyed with the repeated information and bad music that they prefer the callback instead. Seems pretty ridiculous. 3. Originally I was number 3 in the queue so I felt no need to do the callback. When it was finally my turn to schedule an appointment, the phone started ringing and all they did was put me on internal hold. So now I don’t have to deal with that annoying 2-3 minute reminder that I can do the callback option, but they have me on internal hold just to leave me there and forget me. I was on hold for like 10-15 minutes thinking they genuinely forgot about me. So then I hung up and called again only to now be told there’s now FIVE ahead of me in the queue. So now I’ve selected the callback option because ain’t nobody got time for that. Conclusion: Very disappointed first impression of this place. I was referred to this place by my mom because of a good doctor. Which I have no doubt is true. The company/building on how they orchestrate the calls is disgusting and annoying.

Colleen Varley Recently had an outpatient surgery 2/14/25 by Dr. Brian McKenna. He is a very experienced and knowledgeable doctor with a warm caring personality. My experience at this hospital was comforting in the care provided by all. From the pre surgical visit, admissions to the pre-operative area all went smoothly. The pre-surgical nurses Anna and Louisa were excellent and attentive. Anesthesia assistant Jerry was so nice, knowledgeable and was very reassuring with how everything was going to be administered. The recovery area nurse (unfortunately did not get her name) she was on an extra day but usually works on the cardiac care unit, again super and very nice. Overall experience was excellent.

Brendon Sartory I had a very great experience at this Hospital. I was admitted there from 5/28/23 - 6/2/23 due to a abscess. The meals are awesome and taste great. They also have a pantry room full of snacks. The staff, nurses, and doctors are so nice, laid back and caring. They checked in on me on a regular basis and kept me informed on what was going on with my infection. The maintenance workers also do a great detailed job on keeping the place clean. They also accepted my accommodation for a recliner chair next to my bed in which I really enjoy sitting in during the day. They even wheeled me out into the lobby in my recliner chair, a accommodation that I wanted to complete for years which mentally made me feel so much better after having constant fantasies over it. I have autism and OCD. I highly recommend this hospital for others.

Lee Noelle One of the worst hospitals that I’ve ever been unfortunate enough to the experience. I was there with a client from a group home and hospitals Get cold. I asked for a blanket, my client had a few. The woman told me she would get it, never saw her 6 hours later. As I was trying to leave, I got lost, tried to ask a doctor. He completely ignore me. I don’t know why, I can’t speculate. But I’m no dummy, I’m a black female and I expect that’s the reason for the poor treatment. As a black person, telling all black peoples. Please beware of this racist establishment. Die somewhere else, preferably at home. I wonder what their stats are for people of color dying here, must be 100%.

Simone Peat Dr. Schmitt performed surgery on me a yr and month ago and although it was a good surgery the healing took longer than what I was told. I was told that it takes 6 weeks and It took longer and when I explained to her my ins did not cover pelvic pt she looked at me as if no care. If I didnt do my own research with patience I wouldnt be able to walk. it would of been nice to hear a full explanation on what the body does after such a major surgery, especially it being my 1st. happy the growth came out disappointed in the lack empathy towards me and my body healing. The crazy thing is when she 1st met me she said my God you must be walking around holding up your tummy. I thought she cared and understood by that statement. She never went into details about what happens to our bodies after surgery. One thing Ive learned is all of our energy is in our uterus and in our pelvic floor, she never answered what does my ovaries attach on to if my tubes are gone and uterus. Its so much and all she was concerned about was me coming in for my annual check up. Thats another story. I hope this helps someone. BTW everything drops when uterus is gone and your hips spread. I hope my review guided someone to better healing . Before my surgery I didnt do enough research and I was unaware that my uterus was super enlarged and I required lipo a long with the removal. Whats disappointing is I asked her to explain my surgery she looked at me as if I had 2 heads. an not once she guided me properly. Stool softeners thats what she told me . Fiber and magnesium helps with bowel not stool softener. I was also informed after my surgery I should of gotten bowel prep before surgery. As a woman who was placed in a position i hope i truly help she did the opposite. After 2yrs of my surgery this is when I was guided to pelvic obgyn . Ladies if you can please find out how big your growth is before surgery. I wish I can post my photos to show she cut me so itll be easier for her not me. It took alot of praying to forgive her.

Francesca Mirra Dr. Gundy is an amazing surgeon. I’ve never felt better since my surgery with her. Upon My first appointment with her, She listened to me and my issues and immediately sent me to my internal ultrasound. I was in surgery within the month. I finally am pain free, and can live a normal life after being told I was fine and nothing was wrong with me by a previous provider. I appreciate what she’s done for me!

Eileen Mackey Ive been with this practice for over 30 years now, and started with them when they were located on Osborn Avenue just in front of the Riverhead Library. Ive been seeing NP Debbie Sutera exclusively for the last 15 years or so, and I cant recommend her highly enough. Now that I am post-menopausal, I have some unique circumstances that she is helping me with. Seeing her once a year is like seeing an old friend who really wants to know how youve been. She is patient, knowledgeable, and empathetic, and really listens when I talk, a character trait thats not always evident in the medical profession. I feel grateful to have her on my team.

Called for 3 weeks, every other day to get my husbands test results and was told same thing every time “someone will get back to you” no one ever got back to me .. call again today and was given attitude by receptionist because I complained about it. She stated that she’s the only one there huffing and puffing at me and then proceeded to say again someone will get back to you .. worst Dr office ever!! Then when I call to set it up appointment its nowhere to be found. AFTER I FAXED MY PRIVATE INFO! VIOLATED HIPPA. Staff workers very lazy to just check their other location in ronkokoma to verify if forms were there. Unprofessional business! Staff are there just for theyre pay check.

Terri Procida Zero stars! Not only are they terrible dermatologists... their office staff is worse. I had an issue with coordination of benefits and a claim was initially denied then cleared for resubmission. I received a very nasty voice-mail stating because an appeal was a lengthy process it was my responsibility. My appointment was cancelled and I was told I would not be seen until the issue was cleared up and payment was received. Thanks but no thanks... Im finding another office and making a complaint to the insurance company. Disgusting!

Claudine DeVelvis First, the entire office is rushed in Riverhead. Runs like a factory. Very disappointed with Dr. Davey- first time in my 50 years, I walked out of an appointment. He was cold, disinterested and rushed me. At one point, he chuckled at my symptoms. I explained my constant post nasal drip and cough for months. He kept saying, "oh, so you had a cold." Very dismissive. No eye contact until he quickly presented me with the Novocain for my sinuses. At that point, I had to just leave. Dr is a poor listener and insensitive. Good news- I called and spoke to office manager and she was apologetic. Wasnt looking for a red carpet, but I expected to be treated like a human. I get better treatment at the local walk-in.

Dr Michael Elinski I only wish that all other MDs were as mild-mannered, kind, empathic and compassionate as Dr Davey. He is very kind and reassuring and is helping me with hearing loss, loss of balance and tinnitus after my 2nd Pfizer Covid-19 vaccination. I could not recommend a fellow physician any higher. If only there were more doctors like him nowadays.

Joe DePinto Doctor Henry Moreta is very personal, nice and thorough. Unfortunately there was a long wait after arriving to see him. He doesn’t have good help in the office at all. There is such a long wait when calling and the staff is unfriendly and not professional. I was told by a Tayja that she was going to get in contact with the coordinator and I should be receiving a call later in the day regarding my medication refills and that never happened. Here we are 3 days later and I am making the phone calls out to the office because they haven’t called me back. She said she doesn’t know what happened, and told me to hold on while she sees what is going on. After being number 12 in the queue, the phone started ringing and then got disconnected twice. Horrible office service here.

Maria K Keep getting phone calls before 9am after requesting nicely not to call before 9am since i work late. I got a phone call this morning after leaving a message for dr. Moreta to call me regarding my mri results. Call not even related to my call but to pick up a disc i left there ar my last appointment. Come on really read the notes in my account prior to calling. I will not call anyone before 9am out of respect. I still cant get in touch with dr. Moreta and my no fault insurance is running out. Great way to treat patients.

Michael G My wife took my mother in law to this practice. The initial assistant was overly verbal and it made mom very nervous. The dr would not give my wife five minutes alone to ask questions. We can get financial assistance but the dr refused to fill out the paperwork for us. I don’t like to leave negative comments but I do not recommend this practice and it seems like a revolving door practice.

Mike Cuomo I have tried 3 times to see Dr Moreta in Riverhead. Each time I arived 15 minutes early and waited 2 1/2 hours past my scheduled appointment time before demanding my copay check back and leaving. Appointments are made in 15 minute increments, which is ridiculous and suggests that this practice is an appointment mill first and a caring health practitioners office second. The staff gives the same old lame excuse that "the doctor is running late", and expects you to just accept that and not question why. Well how could the doctor NOT run late with 15 minute appointment intervals. The Office manager was snide and patronizing. Yes I admit I was not calm and pleasant to talk to, but never once did anyone suggest or accept accountability for wasting MY time... as though my time is not valuable and worthy of respect. I have no idea if he is a good doctor, other than hes paid off his Harvard education a thousand times over already, and if the way the practice is run is any indication of how he treats patients, than I would go find someone else to treat you. I will never go back there. Oh, and the waiting room smelled and it was dirty.

Jeff Schnee Wish I could give ZERO stars. Dr. Moretas office does not answer the phone nor return calls for a week. If they get your machine you have to go through the entire process again. My father in law has dementia which Dr. Moreta is treating him for. After changing his medication my FIL started to have episodes of extreme rage. Try calling Moretas office for help.... Finally had to call the Hospital / Doctors line to get someone to answer. Explained the situation, was promised a call back.. No call for another week. BUT, in the meantime the office sent in an RX for another drug, one to replace two that my FIL was taking. Moretas office called this into my FILs pharmacy. So they were delivered to my FIL with dementia. NO ONE TOLD us, my wife is his health proxy which the office is well aware of, that 1) they sent him another drug to take to deal with his outbursts 2) that the two other drugs had to be discontinued for two days before starting the new one. Who in their right mind sends dementia patients meds without first instructing their care givers? My FIL could have overdosed if not for him reading the label and it saying something to the effect "This drug has caused death in dementia patents". So he called us and started to rant. Thats how we even found out about this. and yes, we called Moretas office and didnt get a call back for week! Thats when we found out that he had to discontinue the other two drugs for two days first. Dr Moreta may be a good doctor, but the incompetency and total disregard for quality patient care from his staff, make this practice one to avoid at all costs. And yes, we too had to wait for hours, as they do not care about your time as well.

She has told multiple staff personnel over the course of her days there of her concerns regarding her care , wrap leg, remove wrap etc as well malfunctioning tv. There has been no response. They ARE not attentive when she tries to contact anyone. The wait time can take all day before anyone acknowledges her. The facility is for semi incapacitated individuals trying to heal. The response time to the patients needs should be expedited not prolonged. Staff should treat patients as though it was THEIR family member and see how fast they accommodate them. Sarah Coticchio-Naekel My husband suffered a stroke in March 2023. After his hospital discharge he needed rehabilitation and Acadia Center was our choice. The attention to the needs of my husband were outstanding! The Physical and Occupational therapy department is terrific. The therapists are professional and extremely knowledgeable. They work together as a kind and compassionate team which produces much better results. He began his journey unable to walk and after 90 days not only could he tend to his own daily needs but amazingly walked the halls of the facility with the aid of a walker. That is a true testament to the rehabilitation given to him. The nursing and aide staff were attentive, concerned, caring and kind as well. We would highly recommend Acadia Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. If you have to be away from home for recovery Acadia is a wonderful option.

Everything ideal there, physical therapy taught me exercises for healing, nurses administered meds promptly, nursing aides assisted with personal care, excellent meals delivered to my room on time, every morning and afternoon movies available on room TV, activities every afternoon such as bingo, singer playing the guitar, educational videos on the huge TV, birthday parties, pet therapy. Every morning a packet is distributed with puzzles, events ocurring and biographies of famous people born on the specific day. I highly recommend Acadia center.

Joseph Kaelin jr I spent two weeks at Acadia. I was receiving PT for an Pulmanary Embolism. I was in PBMC for 9 days. After I was Discharged, I was sent to Acadia. I had heard mixed reviews about the place but I heard that an excellent PT program and facility so we decide to give it a try the two therapist that worked with me mostly was Tracy And Enny(sp?). These two ladies were awesome. They work me hard which I requested I did whatever they asked me to do if they asked me and I tired you wanna stop I said no because I could tell they both were driven to get me better. I cant thank them enough. The facility They have their top-notch. The gym that I and all the other resident worked out in was big enough so we werent all on top of each other. I would highly recommend this place for anybody looking to get PT. I also have to give a shout out to the nurses CNAs and LPNs they were so professional caring I didnt get all their names but a couple of names I did get was a young kid named Brian, who was very nice helpful and just so happened his mother works there And she was just as kind I could see where Brian got His good manners from. Vera was one of the nurses on the floor helpful kind always making sure stuff is done if I have any therapy again which I hope I dont Acadia Will be my first choice. In place it like this you always worry about the food and the food here was really not that bad. It was actually pretty good and as I recognized the nurses the CNAs and LPNs I want to recognize the people that were hanging out the food trays, and cleaning them up, all very nice and professional are always smiling and never had an interaction with one that seemed like they hated their job. This is a long review by something I felt had to be said.

carrie brown Eric T. Scarbrough should be ashamed to call himself a Dr. I drove 5.5 hours to this location to see a Dr. because I had a severe cerumen impaction and only an ENT can suction the ear. I called to notify them that I was running late because I was crossing three bridges in holiday traffic, his staff hung up on me and was so rude. When I got to his offices I explained my situation, told them I would wait and I was in dire need to see a Specialist. He was asked personally to see me when he had time perhaps at the end of his day knowing my Appointment would only take minutes and he refused to help a patient in need. I think it is so sad that someone can call themselves a Dr. and not care about the well being of patients. I am a long time patient with ENT, allergies and Associates and I will NEVER return to any of their practices because of Eric Scarborough and the staff in Riverhead. Absolutely shameful .

Stephen Heck I fractured my nose while surfing. Dr. Eric T. Scarbrough saw me the same day that I called to make an appointment. He was very thorough in his evaluation and also very informative. He laid out the treatment options in a very clean manner. Early the following week he performed a closed reduction surgery on my nose to put everything back into place. He is a very kind, knowledgeable, and excellent ENT doctor. It has been over three weeks since the closed reduction procedure took place, my nose appears to be completely straight, and honestly, I seem to be able to breath easier than before I broke my nose. I would highly recommend Dr. Scarbrough!

Robb Novotny We have the hospital 5 Stars before our labor and delivery journey, but the L&D staff went so far above and beyond that they set the new standard for what 5 Star Care should be. The staff is super caring, they all love what they do and it shows. They have a robust staff with top tier knowledge and such a wonderful way to deliver that information. For the Labor and Delivery side, we got super lucky and Lillian, the Midwife, walked in at 7am and my wife started pushing. They let me be a full participant and coach and help as much as possible. They are such an efficient machine for delivery and still showed a lot of care. My wife ended up having to push for 3 hours, and the staff was always upbeat for her, reminding her that her body is capable and made to do this. In recovery, my goodness. We felt like we were at one of the highest end care facilities that you can go to. The whole community of nurses and experts... I cannot say enough. My wife felt heard, cared for, respected, got all her questions answered. The staff showed up and showed up huge! We didnt know how good we would have it when we decided to deliver at South Shore, it is the blessing of a lifetime and it went better than any expectation we had set.

Naomie Delva ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I am beyond satisfied with my experience! I went in feeling extremely sick and, within just five days, I left feeling so much better. Now, four months later, I am still considering going back—not because I need care, but because the service I received was unmatched by any other hospital or healthcare facility. From start to finish, the staff was extremely professional, attentive, and compassionate. My room was spotless, the environment was comforting, and the food? Let’s just say it didn’t taste like hospital food—it was actually delicious! As, Naomie The Beauty Nurse, I have experienced many healthcare settings, but this is one of the few times in my life I would genuinely want to work for an organization. The level of care I received was exceptional, and I was able to regain the energy I needed to transition back into a healthy life. This is exactly what an emergency room experience should be like! I want to publicly thank the entire team for taking such incredible care of me. And baby, if y’all ever need an extra nurse on board—count me in! Thank you for setting the standard in healthcare! ❤️

Pablo Espin I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for the incredible care my mom received at Stony Brook Hospital. She arrived at the emergency room with a severe headache and dizziness, not knowing the life-threatening condition she was facing. Since she doesn’t speak English, the hospital staff immediately provided a translator, ensuring she felt understood and supported. The emergency team acted swiftly, running tests to check for any issues, including aneurysms. To our complete shock, we learned that my mom had four aneurysms—something we never expected, as there was no history in our family. She was admitted right away, and as her main point of contact, I received a call that changed everything. Without hesitation, I flew from Charlotte to Stony Brook to be by her side. Upon my arrival, we were met by PA Diana, who walked us through every step with care and compassion. She explained my mom’s condition, the necessary preventative measures, and introduced us to Dr. David Fiorella—a name that, after extensive research, we quickly realized is synonymous with expertise and life-saving work. Knowing he would be handling my mom’s procedure gave us immense comfort. The next day, Dr. Fiorella performed surgery to address two of the aneurysms, a procedure that lasted about an hour and a half. Thanks to his incredible skill and the dedicated team at Stony Brook, my mom has been recovering well. She will need another procedure in the next 2 to 3 months to address the remaining aneurysm, but we are beyond relieved and hopeful. The entire staff has gone above and beyond in every way—providing not just top-tier medical care but also compassion, guidance, and reassurance during one of the scariest moments of our lives. I may not live here anymore, but having grown up in the area, I know that every hospital experience is different. For us, Stony Brook exceeded every expectation. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for saving my mom’s life. We will forever be grateful.

Beast570 So currently been the hospital fell down 12 steps was told there is nothing tramtic with my injury but found a sack of fluid in my spinal cord that wasnt present in another mri from December which this sack of fluid can put pressure on my cord and is at the lvl thats causing my symptoms so my symptoms are left leg weakness with severe pain was told pain meds here are never iv push but Ive heard nurses talking in the half about giving iv diluted to other patients. So why lie tell me that my symptoms are not related to any tramtic injury put there are clear changes on my mri how can you guys claim you treat your patients pain when its clearly not treated and just because my symptoms dont fit what you see on imaging so you basically ignore your patients. I will be writing a letter to the new york health department on the utter disregard of neglecting my symptoms imagines one thing but when you ignore your patients symptoms and brush him off as nothing is neglect. This is the change which they seem to think is not causing any of my symptoms but if you looking up all my symptoms are exactly represent this injury 2 mm focally rounded T2 hyperintensity in the central spinal cord at T9 may represent focal dilated syrinx. Also when you order your meal here it take 2 hours to come to your unitt then on top of waiting and getting cold food if you order a cheese omelet you will get just the meat and the vegetables I ordered tribble the amount of cheese you will stay with just meat and cheese you can tell by the picture of the egg slop if you notice no cheese for a a meal ticket that clearly says extra cheese.

Meltem Erdogan The worst hospital for childbirth. My baby and I almost died due to the improper treatment we received. They did not give me my placenta, even though I requested it. After an emergency C-section, and with my baby suffering from severe jaundice on the second day, they discharged us without any treatment. I had to be rushed to another hospital, and my baby nearly died because the jaundice wasn’t treated and we were simply sent home. I contracted multi-resistant hospital bacteria and almost died. They didn’t even administer antibiotics. Despite having a C-section, they left placenta remnants inside me, which nearly cost me my life. I was rushed as an emergency to a nearby hospital immediately after being discharged. Everything may seem luxurious, but the treatment is absolutely terrible.

Brianna Castaldo I went to CityMD because I had a fever for 12 days. My heart rate was at 142, my body was fighting an infection and I was struggling to walk or remember my own name because I had 101 fever until I took medication on the way to stony brook. I spent hours (2-3) waiting to be seen when others who just walked in got looked at first. If someone with a fever for 12 doesn’t get looked at immediately they can get sepsis because they 50/50 have an infection somewhere in their body. Well I did, I left after waiting almost 3 hours be seen. I want to Mather Hospital told them my symptoms and the second that I told them I had a fever for 12 days they put me in a room and did CT scan, x-rays WITHIN 30 mins. Not 3 hours. And guess what, I had an infection in my whole body I was fighting. Had stay night because it was bad. You NEED to fix your hospital. It is horrible. Only reason I went because I got told to go stony brook because cityMD called ahead to tell the hospital about what going on. Never go to stony brook, ever. There better hospital who will care about you, who will not roll their eyes when you ask how much longer until you get seen. DO NOT GO STONY BROOK.

Why was I arbitrarily asked this question and to show proof ? We were referred from their other Northwell radiology building right across the street and have never been asked these questions or to show proof of vaccination . As a matter of fact I was there less than a week ago . If it is a new procedure why isn’t it applied to everyone?

ANNE MARIE Chaotic ER. Some patients were leaving AMA because they were not being treated. When I was admitted meals were wrong or not provided at all. Every day was a battle with kitchen. CNAs very lazy with exception for some. Grossly understaffed. Took forever to get help. Many times they just didn’t come at all. I am a fall risk. Nurse adamant that I must stay bedridden. Some CNAs were too lazy to apply apparatus so that I could avoid walking to the bathroom. Would not make my bed or pick items that fell. Did not provide physical therapy needed. Would not ask patients who “blasted TVs and cellphones”. to lower them. Occurrences happening constantly. Could not sleep for all the chaos. This incudes body alarms going off. I found. In my case, I found the doctors competent since NY Langone took it over. Avoid this hospital at all costs. The stress make you sicker.

My daughter who is type one diabetic since she was 11 was not feeling well so I drove her there i stayed with her most of the time during the day I decided to come home for a while she told the nurse that her blood sugar was kinda low and that it usually drops quite fast they left her una for a while meanwhile our friend passed by to see how she was doing when she got there she asked my daughter who she was doing she did not respond she called a nurse and sure enough her blood was so low that she out if it was not for my friend my daughter would have probably been dead now next day I went to see her and found her seating waiting for me she discharge herself out she didn’t feel safe there after the low sugar incident, hopefully this hospital will get better after the NYU Langone take over it is the closest hospital to the Patchogue Medford residents.

He does not have his patients best interest when they are sick do not trust him he should have his license taken to treat patients. I would stay away from this office altogether it is not a pleasant atmosphere from my experience there. Dr Brook is an excellent doctor however. It is sad that this physicians assistant gives his business practice a bad name. Go somewhere else.
