Sharon Harper The staff from the beginning till the end was excellent. I was there February 2 and 3rd in the ER. RSV,and asthma. They treated me like I was special. They made sure I was as comfortable as possible. With food and everything. Even charging my phone. My name is Sharon Harper and I want to applaud every doctor and nurse who took care of me. Keep up the good work!!!

Jesse Ortiz My appointment at the hospital was very good. The doctors and nurse there work to help the patients feel safe and secure. The doctor was very careful with my situation and said I had no problem with my vision. Staying focus with patients and helping them is giving us a real feeling about our health.

Freedom C Many many years ago I visited this hospital and left so angry, frustrated and sad. Reception made me feel like I was something under their shoe they needed to get rid of it. About two years ago I had an emergency and revisited. I was terrified of what to expect. Let me tell you, THINGS HAVE CHANGED! FOR THE BETTER! MUCH BETTER! Everything including wait time, was like chalk and cheese! So different. Ive been attending this hospital somewhat regularly as this is also now my primary care clinic. Dr. S. Nainan my PCP is a wonderful Doctor. Even if its via a zoom call, my concerns are immediately addressed. I feel heard. I feel heard. I feel respected. I am properly cared for. From reception to attendants, security, technicians, office staff, and medical team, they ALL care for me so well! Special mention MUST BE MADE of E. Mantel. That lady goes above and beyond ALWAYS! Words cannot express my appreciation for the entire team at Orthopedics. On another note I used to run from needles. I used to be deathly afraid of them. Now, now having my blood taken by the lab at KCH and getting vaccinated is all a breeze. A BREEZE I TELL YOU! I look forward to the needles because the Nurses are professional and I dont feel a thing! One time when I was sick and frustrated (you know how it goes when youre under the weather and grumpy), the Nurse treated me so lovingly I felt as if I was in my mummys arms. I started to cry. Tears of release and gratitude for the care I received. Ill continue to share about my experiences here because they need to be recognized for their outstanding service to our community. An important thing to consider is this is also (for want of a better phrase) a "One Stop Shop". Whether its an emergency, or blood work, medication, finance, MRI, x-rays, scan-all types, gynecology, Dexa scan, dental anything to do with your health and to avoid you having to trek all over the city just to complete a visit is available here. Thank you NYC Health + Hospital -Kings County! THANK YOU SO MUCH! The End.

Mckoy Antoinette (Nette) From the moment I first stepped foot into King County Hospital, I knew I was in good hands. The staff at this hospital is incredibly welcoming and attentive, and they truly go above and beyond to make sure that every patient feels comfortable and cared for. During each of my visits, I have been consistently impressed by the level of care and professionalism that I received. The doctors and nurses at King County Hospital are not only highly skilled and knowledgeable, but also kind and compassionate individuals who take the time to listen to their patients and address any concerns they may have. Overall, my experience at King County Hospital has been nothing short of exceptional. I am grateful for the excellent care I have received and would highly recommend this hospital to anyone in need of medical attention.

Renetha Ottley So sorry that I forgot the name of the ophthalmologist that attended to me today. He is a very special person. He is a very courteous and kind person who displays professionalism. He was very detailed in his explanation of my condition and what can be done to correct and improve the health of my eyesight.. He is highly recommended. Timing was on point and I did wait 3 hours to be attended to. There seems to be a little improvement in the ophthalmology department. Keep up the good work.

Aniko Magyar I didnt even want to go to the ER because I dread the long hours of waiting and the lack of hospitality, Today was quick. In and out. They moved professionally…Clean and organized! Opposite side of the Kings County Center -walkway…

Sarah Brannon Got very close to a misdiagnosis of Leukemia in their ER in May of 2022 because their STAR clinic messed up my CBC. Now two years later and already having paid some bills, they are sending me an atrocious bill for services I never heard of nor consented to. I’ve tried calling accounting for outpatient services for several days and no one answers. You should probably 100% NOT go to this place. Both financially and emotionally traumatized. Give 0 stars if I could. Edited: My bill was taken care of after the situation. I’m grateful for the billing department and there are caring people who work here. It may be tough to get ahold of the right person but once you do people can be truly helpful. Edited to three stars once the issue was resolved.

Lucero Baez The hospital is very dirty. They don’t clean the room for new patients. There is a lot of dust and the attention is horrible.

John Xavier Acosta Went in for various things, got treated for none. I’ve been having this pressure in my chest for the past week, and they just wanted to give me ibuprofen. It’s not a muscle cramp. They were understaffed, overheard one of the nurses say that none of them are allowed to take vacation; one of them had vacation already paid for, and had to cancel her trip, because someone quit, also it took them 8 months to find someone to take the jobs, I loved that it was filled with black folks, but to see 26 patients in a day was defined to me to be irregular, and abusive. We should either fund this hospital or help with hiring staff, they have more cleaning staff than they have nurses and doctors. This was just a sad sight. On a high note, they were nice people. They’re just tired of being abused

Marc Maldonado I think this hospital is in competition with kings county thats across the street to see who can be worse. Went to bring my 1 year old to the E.R and the nurse was getting upset that she could not take vitals. After being told repeatedly that he doesnt like to be touch, especially when he has a 103.1 fever. She kept making side remarks and making faces. I told them to put him on a bed and it can be better for since he will be more comfortable. Instead they bought us back to the waiting room and asked us questions outside. They even took the family the was next and gave them a room faster and still kept us outside. All that time wasted. They do not listen and seems too not care.

Oscar Richards I had an absolutely terrible experience at [suny downstate 8th floor]. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this place is in complete disarray. The staff was rude and unhelpful, the food was awful, and the entire establishment felt neglected. The building itself is in desperate need of renovation—it looks run-down and poorly maintained. On top of that, the atmosphere was chaotic and lawless, with no sense of order or professionalism. It was an incredibly disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your time and money—go somewhere else! --- If you want to add more specifics, like a bad interaction with staff or a particular issue with the food, I can tweak it further. Let me know!

Truthfully True Going down down hill. Definitely needs a face lift everything old. The inpatient rooms are horrible you cant shower or use the water to brush your teeth. The staff were I was admitted was ok. Now the fast track is a mess depending on who you need to see the ortho Surgeons and their residents are amazing. Other specialty doctors and residents very questionable. They can do better they fell off alot.

Noemi I took my mother to the emergency room for severe pain in her lower extremities. I have to admit that the customer service and attention my mother received were exceptional for an emergency room. Nurse Mckenzie was attentive to my mothers needs, very prompt with giving her the ordered medications, very friendly. The resident who saw my mom Paolo, if only all physicians were as humble and attentive as he was with her. He took his time to listen to my mothers issues, took the time to take her history, he explained everything in detail and most of all he checked on her often and also provided feedback as far as next steps being taken. I was really impressed with service.

calicia worrell This is by far the worst hospital ever. I gave birth to my daughter 7 months ago here & Im still traumatized. I spoke to the head of departments while I was there & I feel like I was not properly compensated for being robbed of what was supposed to be a joyous occasion. Firstly, the hospital is outdated and very dirty & there is lack of communication amongst ALL of the departments. This was my first delivery experience and I had preeclampsia. As soon as I checked in they placed me on Magnesium & decided to induce & there was no communication with me regarding the side affects that the mag would have on MY BODY. Fast forward to them administering the epidural, I got that needle a total of 5 times in my back and I remember crying the 4th time and begging them to stop because of the discomfort... Eventually they changed shifts and I received the epidural properly on the 5th try. After my delivery I received several stitches because I was bleeding out internally which resulted in me needing TWO blood transfusions. I remember me screaming and telling the doctors that I felt every single thing while they stitched me together & they replied "If you dont relax this will have to be done in an operating room" ... I was left with bloody unflushed IVs in my arm for days. There was blood under my bed the day I was discharged from when I gave birth to my daughter 4 days prior & no one came into clean the room or bathroom. My daughter was in the NICU because she was pre term and not once did any of the doctors from the maternal department or the NICU come to update me on my daughter while I was on bedrest for 24 hrs after delivery due to me still being on magnesium. A few days after delivery the NICU even called my house looking for me regarding my daughter while I was still a patient at the hospital. My 80 year old grandmother answered the phone and immediately started to panick thinking that something had happened to me because I was still in the hospital as well. There is absolutely no communication between departments. I was asked if I wanted to be discharged and I agreed just for the doctor to come back a few minutes later and tell me that I could not be discharged. There were so many students I began to feel like a lab rat and decided to leave on my own. There was so much more wrong done & someone will pay!

Khadijah Brown If I could give 0 stars I would! Desolate, demoralizing, terrible, no direction, no order, disappointing, no communication with patients, lack of communication amongst the staff, bad food, late handling out medication, everyone doing less as possible, no accountability, need I say more. If so I’m here all week!
