Melodie I got a soft Gel Magnetic cat eye effect manicure. The salon is very clean and the staff is very friendly. Sandra is amazing and works very quickly and efficiently, there hasn’t been anyone I’ve gone to on the island that can do a French nail as fast as she did. They have good equipment, I like the steamer they use and the second UV light under the table that makes curing your nails more efficient. Overall, I recommend them!

Karissa SB I was really excited to get my first Russian manicure but I left with three nails bleeding and all my cuticles cut up. My pedicure was ok at least, but my friend noticed that the lady wasnt using the machine and heard her lady repeatedly tell her to use it to which she seemed to ignore. It wasnt until my friend spoke up and told my lady that I wanted to use the machine for my pedicure, in which she replied and said "oh okay." The lady who did my nails was Lisa. Id like to come back to another person as there were clear favorites in the salon. Pic is my right hand a day later featuring 2/3 bleeding nails.

Yuliya Vasilyeva Yesterday I did my gel pedicure in Tatyana beauty spa. It was terrible. The nail polish went all over the foot it was not properly applied. My 10 year old daughter can paint my nails better than the ladies the work there. Please do not go there, don’t spend your money for this. It’s just a waist of time and money. It’s horrible!!!!! Nirel Escalante Came here for a manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was good all though to my disappointment the massage chair didnt work and didnt recline, so I was a little uncomfortable. The lady who did my manicure seemed all over the place and was not focused on my nails. She was talking on her personal cell phone at least 3 times as well while she was doing my nails. She seemed very frustrated because she messed up 3 of my nails for rushing and not giving enough time for them to dry before massaging my hands. She kept muttering under her breath and it was very obvious that she just wanted to get it over with. When everything was done, she said jokingly "next time do gel instead, powder too hard" (i did sns powder). Looking at the finished product, it came out decent even though several of my nails are messed up (scratches and dents) I could rant on about so many other things (She was not careful with filing my nails, wasnt always paying attention to what she was doing, unorganized, and kept taking breaks from me to do other things like cashier, answering phones and including her cellphone). She ended up rushing more towards the end because she had a client who was here for her and was not done with me yet. Everything in total was 55 for a pedicure and sns manicure which did not seem worth it honestly. Im sure that this place isnt bad however if i ever do come back i will make sure to avoid that lady.

Geniffer Captain I have been coming here for manicures for a year and a half. I am beyond more than satisfied. At Nail and Spa Story, the customer is Queen. They do fabulous work and they stand behind their work. The staff are friendly and very competent on their craft. I highly recommend Nail and Spa Story. If you are not happy with were you are going now, give them a try. You will not be disappointed!

Isabella Padiz Walked-in on a Monday afternoon. Very quiet and probably only one other customer in the salon. Was sat down immediately and my boyfriend sat on the side. Michelle did my nails. I asked for a soak-off ($8) and regular manicure ($15). Very pleased with the end result despite my grown-out acrylics not actually being soaked off. Michelle cut and pried them off and then filed and buffed the surface. Im not really sure why this place received bad reviews. My cuticles were cut and my nails were cleaned on BOTH sides nail before painting. Manicure consisted of a base coat, two color coats, a top coat, and "quick-dry." Super clean looking in-person and in pictures. I was charged exactly the amount she quoted in the beginning and paid in cash. Love how it turned out and I would definitely come back here for Michelles work.

I walked in the owner asked me why I hadnt been there in so long and it occurred to me that the reason I hadnt been in there for so long is because of Maria. Morgan Hasner I have know Lee and have been going to her for years. I am so happy for her to have opened her own business! A FAMILY business!! I havent done my nails in over a year...and finally went in today to see her and the new store. Its immaculate and she has updated features such as, disposable plastic liners in the water tubs for a higher level of cleanliness... bag hooks so your purse is not in the way or on the floor..... as well as a tray to hold your drinks, phone, etc. SNS takes pride in what they do. They are kind, accommodating, and gentle, and most important, experienced. Always feel like I am going to visit family when I go see her. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

Dannie I have been looking for a “home” Nail Salon on the island for a long time, and then I came across this place and met Mariela. She has to be one of the most attentive Nail tech perfectionists I have ever met. You can tell she definitely knows what she’s doing and wants you to leave satisfied and happy, no matter how long it takes. This place is clean, affordable and super friendly. Jenn Pass This place is like a second family to me and my mother. We’ve known the owners for over 25 years. And besides them being extremely warm, welcoming, and kind, they also do a great manicure! All of the services they provide meet professional standards. Their clientele have basically raised their children with the owner Lily. Karina Pruden family is the best way to describe this salon. im EXTREMELY picky with my nails, and the technical performance along with a homey atmosphere makes this a place worth my drive from jersey. they treat my 83 year old grandma like gold and go above and beyond to make her comfortable. she wont go anywhere else and neither will I. and the owner is an angel on earth. thank you ladies for always taking care of me, grandma and my whole family.

She did an exceptional job on my pedicure and my nails came out perfect just in time for my vacation. I’m very particular about my nails & she did them exactly how I always like them. She took her time with my both my manicure and pedicure which I loved. I hate rushed service. The salon was very clean and well kept. I will definitely be returning!

She helped my daughter pick out a color and explored options with her. She also took her time doing her nails and we really loved how they came out. allison beach I went to Jennifer years ago when I lived in NY.. Since moving to PA I do my nails myself. I was in NY yesterday and decided to find her. I did and she squeezed me in. I got my nails done by her again and she is the only other person I would ever trust with my nails beside myself ( she died great washin too). I explained to her the shape I wanted ( a mix between almond,, square and coffin shape) and she understood and did it the exact way I wanted. Very clean and sterilized everything used. Phenomenal color selection. Friendly priced well. I will definitely be going back all the way from PA.

Alex Kuzma When my nail technician moved to a farther location I decided to look for a new place near my house. Based on Google reviews, I went to Lava Nail. My first technician was Kiki for the powder gel nails. She damaged my nail and I have to take a break for two month to recover. Decided to give another chance and ask for an experienced person. Hanna did my nails and after two weeks two nail covers fell off. Not coming back for a dip powder. However, the pedicure done by Lisa was amazing. One of the best technicians that Ive had in the past. Therefore, for a dip powder 1 star, for the pedicure 5 stars. Average is 3 stars.

Tracy Demarest I sought a new salon for my wedding nails in February 2023. I found and received excellent service from Nicole for my manis and Jessie for my pedis. My nails always look great. I have acrylic nail tips and my toes get gel polish. What a time saver to not have drying time. Shoes on and off I go. Never a smudge, chip, or lost tip. I go every 2-3 weeks for fills depending on my schedule and events. The salon is clean and the staff is friendly. They can be very busy here. I always book in advance and appreciate that they are on time and not over booked. I have not utilized any of their other salon services.

Mary Zaki I’ve visited this place several times for convenience since it’s the closest salon to where I live, but every time I go I leave disappointed with the result. The last few times I have left with cuts on at least one of my fingers. Avoid this place at all costs.

Persephone Dgheim All I can say is DO NOT GET THE SPA pedicures, they are a total scam. I requested the lemon pedicure which was supposed to include a hydrating mask, a lemon scrub, a 15 minute message and hot stones. The only thing I got as advertised was the 15 min foot massage. The mask the lady used was from a tub, it looked to be one of those 5 dollar mud masks you get in those big jars from amazon. Other than that she used only a very small amount on my legs and didnt even wash my legs off first. the scrub she used was not lemon, it was the regular scrub they use for all pedicures. the hot stone treatment consisted of rubbing a warm stone on my leg for 5 seconds each leg. now I will say that my legs are feeling smooth but my issue is that other than the massage the spa pedicure that cost $55 did not give what was advertised. they should be upfront about what products they actually use on you and for 55 dollars I feel I should have gotten more. They also were very hesitant to turn on the massage on the pedicure chair. Its a nice hygienic looking salon but theres room for improvement.

Ashley S So it took weeks for me to decide where am I going to go for my nails now that I moved to the island. This was a quick walk nearby so I decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did!! Everyone is very nice and sweet which is what you need going to a nail salon. It was also very calm. I did a gel manicure and gel pedicure for $70. The pedicure was amazing, it came with a scrub and massage and I really needed it lol! I’m so happy I came here, this is now my new spot :) 10/10

June Truth Wonderful customer service. The guy in charge is really nice and listens to what you need. The manicurist Ping did a wonderful job and was always careful not to hurt me or cause me pain (I needed to remove my gel nails) Prices are reasonable and they maintain safe distance all the time. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because they didnt check my temperature with a digital temperature scanner when I arrived. I think all salons should do that given the current circumstances. Other than that, they are doing a really good job.

Marina Shrayman Love this place! All of the ladies are great but Fabby & Maya are exceptional, they both do an amazing manicure & pedicure. No matter how many people are waiting, they will always take their time with the current client and not rush through like other salons tend to do. My cuticles are awful and they grow like weeds, both ladies clean them up to perfection even though it probably takes an extra 5-10 minutes. The pedicure is my favorite, they use an AMAZING sugar scrub that feels delicious during the massage!! Walk-ins are welcome but I would suggest making an appointment. Berthaa Bee When I tell you dirty!!!! equipment I was just shocked . when I was getting a pedicure tool that she used on the lady. Too seat over All she did is wiped them down with water from the tub. she took those towels that she wiped the ladies feet with and she wiped down the seat with it cross. I was so scared never ever go back there. nothing was sanitized nothing. They honestly needed an inspector to go in there. I don’t know how these people stay open.

There is a whole nail that has the gel manicure about to be removed, my gel manicure usually lasts a good few weeks. Also, my cuticles were really badly bruised for like the first 5 days. Absolutely awful and I was hoping to come back again but I won’t be. I can’t believe I paid $80 for this.

Taylor I recently visited this salon and was disappointed by my experience. I had heard there were new owners, but it seems the staff dynamics havent changed not sure if they are not happy with the new owners I went in for a pedicure and specifically asked for a French pedicure they left old red polish on every single toe that I came in with. Also the white lines were done horribly. I only noticed it at the end, as I usually leave happy from my visits. Additionally, my father came in for an eyebrow waxing and was left waiting in a room for 30 minutes. When the staff finally realized he was still there, they laughed instead of apologizing, which felt completely unprofessional and disrespectful. Overall, I left feeling very dissatisfied and unhappy with the service. Will not be returning!

Olivia the BEST nail salon I have ever been to. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my manicure was exactly how I wanted, including trialing colors/glitters before doing my nails. They also take the time to shape your nails how you like and check in throughout the process to make sure it’s looking as you want. Everyone is so kind and the space is so clean. Would highly recommend!

Previous review 202: Over a week old and still looks very good. Sns dip powder. They are very thorough in caring for the care of the Mail which is more important than just the design as most places only care about.

Cerina Shao Finally got my nails done at Mama’s Nail and Spa after coming across their aesthetically-managed Instagram. Their posts are so nicely curated and the salon is no less. There are a variety of snacks and beverages offered to customers, even a Keurig machine for your use! Nail polishes are nearly arranged and adorned with a variety of gold and marble decor, and some succulents. The most eye-catching part was the glitter filled polish bottles, resembling a giant nail lacquer bottle. I came in unsure if I wanted dip powder or gel. Malsha helped me weigh the pros and cons for the two types of manicures, but I went for the gel. She was patient with me when I couldn’t decide which shade of pink I wanted. She was honest about which color suited my skin tone and which shades clashed. Having really short nails make it really difficult to paint; most times the polish ends up on my skin and as a result, premature lifting. I left the salon with a clean mani and nothing on my cuticles! This is my first time at Mama’s and it definitely won’t be my last. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the ambience is not like the other nail salons where it’s loud and smells like fumes. The interior is so chic, it really felt like a treat getting my nails done here. I definitely will be back to do a pedicure so I can take advantage of their 15% off soft opening promo.

Vibes Unsanitary conditions at this nail salon. Stay far away unless you are looking to get toe nails fungus. The DOHMH needs to pay a visit and investigate! Ive witnessed how employees rush to take the next customer and do not sanitize equipment they just finished using on the previous client! Do not recommend!

Catherine Mendez-Severino Beware if you go within an hour of their closing time. I asked for tips and was told by the employee that she wouldn’t be done until 30 minutes past their closing time so she didn’t want to provide the service. I needed my nails done, therefore I asked what she recommended and she said powder gel. I was treated rushed and ended up getting cut so badly and painfully that my manicure could not even be complete. Bleeding wouldn’t stop. And she burned multiple times with the e-file. I should have left, but I needed a polish change on the toes as well and was attempted to get charged $30 for a gel polish change. A gel pedicure is $40. How does that make sense. When I complained, it was reduced to $25. Ridiculously overpriced and unprofessional. This person clearly has poor skills and no experience. My cuticles hurt so bad for 2 days. Never returning and 100% do not recommend.

Michelle Tam Best nail salon on Staten Island!!! I have recently discovered this newly opened nail spa near my house and this is my fav. Ive been to so many nail salons on the island, Manhattan and even outside of NYC when I used to travel for work a lot. This is such a gem. Clean place, top notch service and what makes it stand out from all the other nail salons is that they are there to provide an "experience" not just trying to provide fast service and onto the next person. Their technicians actually take their time to provide the best service possible and perfect every design you request. Highly recommended.

Niki Cruz I had an excellent experience at Green Hill Nails. Right when you walk into the salon you’re transported to a relaxing and calm setting. The salon is clean, modern, with the latest salon tools. The hospitality is unlike any other salon on the island. I was greeted with a smile and offered a complimentary drink. The iced coffee was great! As for the nails, they’re stunning! Tony did such an amazing job and paid attention to detail. You can tell that the technicians really care about the work they do. I never once felt like I was being rushed out. The designs are out of this world and the price was fair, too. I’m definitely coming back!

Allison Orisino Had an appointment today for a gel manicure and pedicure. I dont get my nails done often so I wasnt sure about what I wanted or what to get. Everyone was so patient and kind and helped me every step of the way. Nails look fantastic and you could tell they are very familiar with all different techniques and designs. Pedicure was done with extreme care and they prepped my nails so well before the polish. Everyone was so polite and pleasant. Would recommend this salon to everyone.

Jenny does an amazing job on my toes, always making sure that each toe looks amazing and has no discomfort. Sandy does my powder dip nails and does a stupendous job each time. Alexandra C First off, I asked if they did acrylic tips, they said yes and then proceeded to do gel tips. Second, my thumb nail completely snapped 2 days after getting my nails done. I live over an hour away, a waste of 60.00. had to go to a different salon near my home to fix.

I asked for a spa pedicure and made sure they had massage chairs before going in because thats what I was going for. I went in and told the lady RIGHT AWAY that her chair was not working (Before service started), they told me it would eventually work so proceeded with service. Chair never worked after I told her twice. Half way through the service, I finally got to speak to the manager who switched me to another chair. New chair turned off after 1 minute. I told the manager that neither of chairs were working and she said she would let the company know then laughed at me ... NEVER AGAIN.

Limra Ilyas I had a terrible experience at Mohwa Nail Salon for a Brazilian wax. I called around 2:30 to schedule for 4:15, arrived at 3:50, and wasn’t taken to a room until almost 5:00. Then, the technician told me she didn’t even do Brazilians and I had to wait for someone else. When the wax finally started, it was a nightmare. The wax kept sticking to my skin instead of the strip, making it way more painful and ineffective. To make things worse, the technician wasn’t wearing gloves, and she kept pulling her mask down and putting the wax stick in her mouth. That was incredibly unprofessional and unhygienic. The whole process was slow and sloppy—she was waxing tiny sections at a time, and I was bleeding in places because the wax wasn’t coming off properly. I asked for the butt strip, and she only did part of it, leaving the actual strip untouched. And to top it all off, she left a chunk of wax on me and just smeared petroleum jelly over it, which was just a weird fix. For a $40 service, this was a complete disappointment. I left feeling sore, sticky, and not fully waxed. I want $40 credit to use on SOMETHING ELSE because I am not getting waxed here again.

Bree Gomer I’m giving this salon 3 stars only because my pedicure was great. My acrylic nails done by Nancy are terrible. Way too thick, bumpy and uneven. I have glue all under my nails and polish beyond my nails. Waste of money and time.

Jennifer Langell This review is a couple weeks late but still important. I have been searching all over Staten Island for a new nail salon because no one does a proper gel manicure anymore. I tried this place. Honestly I don’t think I’ve had a WORSE experience so far. Upon entering, I wasn’t even given the opportunity to have the manicure with the woman I specifically made the appointment with and told to go sit at the first station that opened up. The manicure lasted 18 minutes. I times it. Never in my life! I was beyond disgusted. The filing job was horrendous. I had to keep making her fix the filling, which I don’t like to do. It started to chip a few days later. NEVER AGAIN! DO NOT GO HERE!

Sara Rehart I would go back because my tech did a nice job with my nails and the spot is clean and spacious. My only caveat, which happens with all the Asian-owned salons, is they are not out right with their pricing and rush you along. When I was getting rung out, she said she would have to charge me tax for using a card, fine, but she failed to mention the service charge of $2. Also, a new acrylic set is posted as $35 but she failed to mention the $10 uncharge of using gel polish and just went ahead with it. Just be honest and clear re: pricing, you do a good job, and customers will come back.

I am always very happy with my nails after each appointment. I get UV gel fill-ins and they never break on me. I’ve gone over a month without a fill-in in the past and the nails have stayed on. The designs are always amazing and I highly recommend for you to go there.

Christina Absolutely HORRIBLE!! The man rushed with my gel manicure. It was sloppy and now my nails are showing spots! Not even an hour later, not to mention going out of the lines with my red gel polish. I feel they’re not professionally trained. He took off my gel polish with the drill and hurt a few of my fingers with the drill. He didn’t even brush the table off after drilling my nails, so each of my hands were laying in the dirty dust on the table!! $30 I paid, never will I go back for their services! I even seen him wipe the tools he used on my hands with a white piece of paper towel, and put them back into the plastic blue bag!!! So yea, he didn’t sterilize them!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!!!!! I’ll stick to Graffiti Nails! Much cleaner, friendlier, and take their time…

Jiang Li They are nice people but I personally do not think they are skilled. They recommended me to do powder dip which I did. They are very slow and hurt 3 of my fingers during drilling/filing. Two of them bleed a little. There was no complicated design, just lines and slant french. It has only been a day and I can literally peel off my some of my nails already because the top coat got too much onto my skin which is also connected to my nail. So I spent over 65 dollars for bad job. If it was not for the 20% off it would be even over 65 dollars. I shouldn’t have tipped. AWFUL TERRIBLE.

Rebecca O This place is under new management, figured I give them a try again. I was referred by a good friend she got her nails done by Bobby they look great. I needed a pedicure and Bobby was wasn’t there but, I received a spa pedicure from them for 55 dollars. Not including tip. It didn’t include gel polish or removal of the previous gel pedicure. In the end my feet was not smooth and my toes looked better before I got there. Also, they charge $10 dollars to soak off dip powder or acrylic tips or $5 dollars to have them roughly take it off your fingers. I can understand there’s a charge, but the process to soak off or take off was not much different then what I experience in the past. They still roughly use a mechanical file just with acetone, which they don’t even allow adequate time for a proper removal. I will not be going there again. I do not recommend. I understand why they are never busy. The service, the ambience or quality of work does not match the price board. Also, trying to get a relaxing spa pedicure there with a gym upstairs is not relaxing. You can hear them slam weights constantly that also a reason why I gave this place a 1 star. Because, no!

Luisa Paulino The place is clean the people are very attentive and accommodating, I requested the deluxe pedi and also manicure , the pedi was amazing the lady did some good scrubbing and massages, that cost 40 dollars I truly don’t know if that is pricey or not , but the manicure didn’t feel like mani at all, all she she did was file my nails and apply the color , next day one of them was coming off which it was messed up cuz I felt like she was rushing( got it fix for free) , two days later another one is coming off. I will give them another try and see how it goes.

They did not charge me for Tue removal which I thought sad classy. Next to a nice Chinese restaurant that was very clean where I ate while waiting. Bring cash to pay so you save a few bucks.

Doris Cordero My daughter and I recently got our nails done here. The place has been renovated and is under new ownership. We both got a pedicure and although I read a review here that they no longer use the hot stones, we found that not to be the case with us. They used the hot stones and our pedicures were not rushed. My daughter loved the way her nails were done and we will definitely be back. I find the prices to be fair and similar to what they used to be.

COOKCOOK1966 The last several times that I’ve gotten my nails done, the gentleman always makes my cuticles bleed by cutting too much or pushing too hard. Today I had either his wife or daughter and she made my cuticles bleed on 3 fingers. I don’t know if I will ever return. My fingers are painful & now I have to watch out that it doesn’t get infected.

Their pricing has gone up and the quality of services are not where they used to be. I was very upset when I called and specifically asked to see Elizabeth who has been working there for years. They told me she was still there and my appointment would be with her. When I arrived she was no where to be found and when I questioned them they immediately couldn’t speak English anymore. I was aggravated but decided to get a pedicure anyway. No more exfoliating lotion, no more hot rocks just a quickly rushed pedicure that literally chipped the next day. Sorry to say I miss the old staff and will not be returning here.

Angela Przybysz Chop Shop! Horrible, dirty, and nasty staff. They dont know how to do nails. Unsanitary and dirty the equipment such as the filing board was used on every single client and was not sanitized in between uses as well as the clippers. Wore same pair of gloves on each client and cut me making me bleed. They removed tips using a dirty METROCARD while I told her to STOP. This place needs to be shut by the department of health. All the workers especially the Spanish girl had such an attitude when doing my nails. She was grabbing my hand aggressively and huffing and puffing painting my nails. She was rude talking on the phone the whole service. I wanted a refund for the chop shop job and the Chinese front desk lady was talking so much bad things acting like I did not understand Mandarin. Not for nothing if your paying for a service it should be done right the first time. After telling them I was not happy with the service I had to argue to get my money back.

Fern Atriz Have come here on and off for years but today concludes the last time. Two weeks prior, I was rushed and they cut my cuticles until I bled on 3 fingers. I didn’t say anything and no one offered a discount. I figured it was a one off and booked with someone different this time. Once again I was rushed and I don’t know what she did to my pinky but it hurts and is bleeding. Upon checking out, I asked if a discount was possible due to the circumstances. Never says anything to me other than my sister not tipping and charges me accordingly - $153.60. I do the math - two pedicures $29, UV gel wrap $64, $5 for powder removal, $10 for cat eye design - totaling to $137. To make matters worst, I see now that they’re open until 8 and we were rushed out by 7:30.

Gisselle Tirado I LOVE this place. It quickly became my favorite. I tried a few places in Staten Island but this one is the winner! Everyone is so nice. The woman that did my nails took great care of me, cleaned my cuticles nicely, and did a great job on my shape and design. I am picky about my shape and every time i asked her to change/fix something, we was patient and had a great attitude. My nails lasted a whole MONTH! I will be going back next week for my fill in and I am so excited!

My nails last 4 weeks with no cracks. 100% recommended. Updated 07-27-24 Unfortunately, I changed my reviews to 3 starts. This salon is under a new management and my nail tech, Lusero, left the place. Tried someone else and was not satisfied. My white color SNS powder turned yellow in 5 days. Didn’t cracked, but looked so fake. Three stars because of pedicure, it was done ok. Looking again for a new place. ☹️

Treasure Brooker I came here for the SNS polish and eyebrow services. As the eyebrow service ended, the woman with the dark hair and glasses showed me her work and I noticed that half of my eyebrow is MISSING. When I pointed out the issue, she grabbed the eyebrow brush and brushed my eyebrow back and fourth as if that was going to resolve the problem. When we left the wax room, I spoke to another woman that had copper eyebrows and a copper hair cut bob. The woman who took care of me was laughing while speaking to her in another language. They didn’t seem to have much concern about their mistake and thought that since they chose not to charge me for the eyebrows that it was all resolved. No one apologized, no one seemed to care. Now I have to go home and buy an eyebrow pencil and fill the missing area in for however long. NEVER AGAIN! What an inconvenience. Do better Bebe Nails!

Marmora Patrick I don’t really do reviews but this place was very, very, very poor. Today, I decided to give this place a chance. However, I genuinely wish I didn’t. This was the worst experience I ever had. The manager so rude , not nice at all. They did not have the several colors that I preferred. She made me pay extra for absolutely nothing, when I already paid extra for powder gel, for a total of $61, they took money off of me for changing the powder gel that THEY were mistaken for and THEY gave me the wrong color but I was punished. Very poor staff, very unprepared to work and VERY unprofessional service. She is a thief and WILL take your money. Do not go to her. And I chooses for their collection but they don’t have for two colors I picked light gold and milk color both of them don’t have !

Ralph Today my daughter went to Kims Pink Nail salon to do her nails for her prom tomorrow. The owner assigned a lady named Wendy to do her nails. When she was done, my daughter noticed the nails were uneven. Some nails look different than the other, and the acrylic was Bumpy and not shaped properly. So we went to the owner and asked him if they could fix them. And he said absolutely no, We was appalled by his answer. We didnt want money back. We just wanted him to make it right and they refused. So we walked out. We went to another nail salon and the nails came out perfect, We will never go back, and we do not recommend this place to do your nails.

Jena Benik I’ve tried for years to give this place the benefit of the doubt due to its convenient location, but my experiences have been nothing short of awful. The worst incident was when they “accidentally” erased my wedding nail appointment—with a pencil—and then claimed I never booked it. That’s beyond frustrating when you’re planning for such an important day. On top of that, they routinely overbook appointments, forcing you to wait 40+ minutes even after youve confirmed a time. I’ve also had several occasions where they canceled appointments last minute, citing that they were “fully booked” when I had already scheduled in advance. Recently, the salon changed ownership and merged with Coco Nails, and it’s clear the quality has taken a significant dive. The talented technicians who made the place worth visiting are all gone, and it seems like the new owner has no regard for customer service or consistency. Save yourself the frustration and aggravation—I strongly advise looking elsewhere. It’s simply not worth it.

L Joseph The lady was nice at first but she kept smudging the polish and said I was moving my fingers in the machine which I wasn’t. I was extra careful and the end product did not look nice bc at least 3 fingers were smudged and polish was not smooth and I knew it’s not worth it for me to ask her to fix it. And she looked a little irritated. The next day, there are little bubbles all Over my nails and I knew it’s not because I was moving my fingers. But the shape is nice.

Katie Angelova Complete disaster. Came here to fill acrylics I had done in Brooklyn (was pressed for time and decided to give this place a chance). The lady assured me she knew what she was doing. Cut my fingers multiple times to the point of drawing blood, cut the nails crooked, didn’t file properly. The gel manicure I paid $40 for peeled, or rather BUBBLED in literally a DAY, leaving me with completely disgusting looking nails for an event. See for yourself and spare yourself the anguish. Don’t come here.

Alisa Cheaper is not always better. I only went here twice. Both times I felt rushed. They don’t care about what you want and made my cuticles bleed both times. The first time they didnt let me pick my color. When I walked in, a woman asked me what color. Next thing you know I am sitting down and she put a bottle of polish on the table. I tried to stop her I asked, "What is this? I dont think I like it." She said lets try it. I didn’t like it and before I knew it one hand was already done. The next time I was looking at the colors and she grabbed my hand and started working. I couldnt keep looking. This is why I didnt like the color. Now my cuticles bled twice. After this I knew I shouldn’t come back.

karina hodan Never get a massage from them. I’m not the one to complain but I had to share this. I came in for a back massage. This lady kept hitting my head with her bracelets. Was rushing and massaging my bones instead of muscle. The next two days I was in pain and couldn’t turn my head. When I called to speak to a manager she refused to listen to me and told me to see a doctor. It’s a horrible customer service. I’m never going back.

Raquel Valentin DISORGANIZED! I came to this salon a couple of times before I really had any issues. It started two weeks ago when I came in to get my nails done. The lady directing everyone around forgot about my friend and I several times. She was also distracted while doing my nails and they came out with lower quality than I expected. Due to all the back and forth I was at the nail salon for FOUR HOURS and ended up with a ticket for being over time. Fast forward to today. I booked an appointment with my friend for 10:30, hoping this would be quick. Instead, I was passed up for several walk-ins. I wasnt seen for an hour. Then, the man at the front started my nails. When I showed him the design I wanted, he told me no and that he had an appointment and I would have to wait. He sent me to the woman beside him. However, my friend was also waiting to be seen by the same woman. It is now 12:12. My friend is finally getting her nails buffed and Im standing here with no polish waiting to be seen. Id be surprised if were not here for another hour and a half. Another four hours wasted. I do feel bad for the techs because they have performed good work on me up until this point. It is due to the techs that Im now giving a lower review. I dont believe the service itself is lacking, but there is absolutely no organization. [The photo posted is of my unpolished nails after waiting for an hour and 15 minutes to get my nails done.] Update: its now 1:07 and my nails are finally done. They offered the gel polish and a design for free. I declined the design because I didnt want to wait longer than I had already done. Total time waiting: 2 hours and 37 minutes. Danielle Naismith Horrible, horrible, horrible. I went there and got a gel manicure and it chipped two times. Sorry but for 50$ my nail shouldn’t be chipping a day later. Second time I went back, one took off all my nails, I thought maybe receptionist said to do them over because they kept chipping. The manager or whoever she is, screamed at her, then yelled at me for not telling her. Manager (wasn’t wearing a name tag) Proceeded to do my nails very aggressively using terms, whatever and let’s go. Did my French white very poorly, and then when I go to leave silently, she came at me. I am very dissatisfied and suggest everyone take their business elsewhere. Greenhill nails is a few doors down and I will now be trying them because I hear they have wonderful customer service.

Kat Step I have been going here for over a year. Came in last week. I got two extra services- one to fix a broken nail and a treatment. Usually I am charged $55~ for a basic gel pedicure no extras. This time I was charged $70 at first. The manicurist said it was due to the two extra services and because I got French (strange) I paid. She ended up chasing me out because she “forgot” to charge me for something. Total came out to $80! I had tipped them well (20%) To be honest the price was very shocking to me. So I share this information with my friends who also go here. Just to find out they charge them $45 for basic gel pedicure (they are white) Obviously POC is not welcomed here which is sad because I have been nothing but kind and engaging when I come in. Only one young girl is kind to me the other women ignore me for the most part and still do a nice service( which is all I care for) If you are black do not go here. They will overcharge you and you would never know because prices are not listed in clear view. It’s a shame because I really enjoyed coming here but I will go where I am treated fairly!

Danielle Delgado Y Nails? Y did I go there? The place seems to have changed staff since the last time I went there. I asked for a Brazilian and a mani / pedi. They ignored the fact that I asked for a Brazilian, did my mani / pedi. Got nail polish all over my hands, didnt ensure that my hands werent dusty from the nail filing, didnt forewarn me that they were putting lotion on my hands. Got lotion all over my wedding rings (which Im still getting out), I asked them to take the nail polish off my hands and she didnt get it all and she knew it. My nail polish has bumps in it now so I know its going to peel and its the gel one too. Ive got bubbles in my polish and sloppy edges.They didnt check if my toenail polish was dry. They handed me my bill and basically told me to pay. I didnt bother reminding them that I asked for the Brazilian wax because they were so unfriendly. And definitely unprofessional. Im not going back. I dont recommend anymore.

Korrect Pat I feel like every time I come in they repeat themselves about three times when I ask for gel nail polish . Additionally they continue to repeat the prices. I feel like when a new person of color walks in for service they are treated differently. It honestly makes me feel uncomfortable. I only tried this place out because it isn’t far from my job. Jaclyn Lavoro Every one at this place is great! They do their best to keep you from waiting but they do honor appointments. They have a big color selection for both gel and regular polish. They have many options of spa pedicures to choose from also. I have recently moved and still come to this salon for my gel manicures.

Victoria Valdes Officially never going back to this location after my experience with Ada. Not only was she extremely rough and made for an unenjoyable and painful powder gel manicure, but my sister had gone to her for a pedicure and then had gotten a bad toe infection in her big toe afterwards. The powder gel I just got is so thick, lumpy, and crooked. She raced through the entire process, so much so that the brush applicator FLEW out of her hand TWICE onto the floor and she had to sanitize it before use again. I had been coming here for several months but now never, ever going back. I am so unhappy with the service, as is my sister.

I was told by many different people who highly recommended this place, and I have to agree. I absolutely love my nails! They also did great for my pedicure, and I loved it, too. I was able to give the nail tech an image of what I wanted, and she copied it perfectly! I highly suggest this place!

Kelly Lau Don’t get a soak off here!!!! I asked for a soak off and I had gotten sat down with this lady that pulled out her METRO CARD and pryed off my nails one by one. I told her to stop cause it hurt too bad and I needed her to do a soak off where she then disappeared for 15 mins. Another lady came by and continued to pry my nails off the rest of my nails. I told her I wanted a soak off and she said no cause I only had a few more to take off. I didnt argue with her again since I assumed it would also save me the money of getting charged a soak off for a few nails. At the end, my nail beds were stripped down paper thin. When she gave me the bill, she charged me for soak off and told me “taking off is the same as soak off” which made no sense cause they used the metro card method to save time and money. I was so over it at this point I paid and left. Definitely not going back!!!

cindy aguilar I have been coming for 3 hard gel refills and got grace today- let me tell you, I never had a faster refill in my life. She rushed like if she was running out of time. She end up hurting my finger with the drill didn’t even say sorry. Got the hard gel all over me. The cat eye color came out nice and I still ended up tipping her. I won’t be coming back here and if I somehow do- she is definitely someone I will remember not to go to. If you’re looking to go here- AVOID GRACE at all times!

christina griffo I’ve given Get Nailed multiple chances for years but unfortunately, my recent experiences have been disappointing. During a visit a few weeks ago despite having an appointment, I waited 40 minutes before being seen, with no effort made to acknowledge or improve the delay. Additionally, when I wanted to tip my nail tech $10 using my gift card, the owners wife pressured me to tip more, expressing frustration that I didn’t use the full balance of my card—despite only receiving a regular acrylic manicure. When I returned for another visit, the owners wife was noticeably hostile toward me because of the previous gift card situation. When I asked her to repeat the price at checkout because I hadn’t heard her, she shoved the receipt in my face and said, “$35.” Then, when I handed her the payment, she snatched the money out of my hand. On top of the poor customer service, my most recent visit left me disappointed with the quality of my nails. I asked for a combination of Bubble Bath and Funny Bunny, but my nails came out noticeably streaky. For a salon that charges premium prices, I expected better attention to detail. These experiences made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Respect and professionalism go a long way in any business, and unfortunately, I did not receive that here.

Sarah Sebastiano if i could give no stars i would. i’ve been coming to blooming nails for quite a while now. I came in and got a spa pedicure (which felt very rushed and not relaxing at all) as well as a fill in on my acrylics. it has only been a week and 5 nails have already popped off and 2 of them damaged my natural nails ripping part of my natural nail off. The gel polish was also completely chipped on my toes. My thumb has absolutely no polish on it what so ever, the gel completely peeled off. The lady who did my nails completely rushed the whole process and did not allow my nails to dry long enough. it was a very poor job. I called and explained the situation to let them know that because of your worker my natural nail is now very much damaged and in pain because again i’m missing part of my natural nail. I asked for a refund or even a store credit they wouldn’t even give me that. So i spent over $100 just for my nails to come off within a week, have my natural nails damaged? no. They most definitely do not stand behind their work. Don’t even waste your time coming here.

Jacklyn Peczek Gel started peeling after 1 week, this shouldn’t happen. They never applied a bottom coat, barely let it dry and didn’t allow me to wash my hands before painting. This now caused fungus to grow under the acrylic power. Very annoying and won’t be wasting my money and time here again. Now I have to pay someone to fix my nails, ridiculous. (Picture is 2.5 weeks after service, these usually last me 3 weeks tops and still look perfect) Go to Hugenot nails instead!!!!

Chrissy Wanted to love this place more but the best part as the neck rub, my nails are meh. I was a walk in, Theresa started my nailed and stopped 3 times to make phone calls. Didnt even say anything she just got up the first time outside the other 2 times at the counter. There were more times after she stopped but I can understand when phones ringing or ppl need to pay. Not even done shaping my nails I get what seems like a new person swaps. Which she buffed and polished my nails, wanted a design on my ring finger she did ok. She was a bit rougher on the nails, but everyones starts somewhere. Than paying, I didnt have cash I went to tip on card. I was gonna give the massager 10 and her 5. I usually tip 5 for nails and Im told paying I have to switch that. I said whatever give them both 10. Massager did a for my neck, but I know I wont be coming back. Place is out of date, sitting there looking at a burnt on the bottom tv, the atmosphere is very uncomfortable. A lot of stuffs broken around the shop. Not once did anyone try to make a conversation or any type of friendliness here. So between my streaky nails, ambiance, over all experience Id say pass on this place.

Nicold Delorenzo I went in for a regular manicure which was listed for $15. They charged me for taking off gel which was another $10. This was not listed or told to me until I was already paying. I waited for 40 minutes and there was only 4 other customers. The manicure was rushed and sloppy. Paint all over the side of my nails. The lady who did my nails then demanded a tip as my nails were drying. In total I was charged $30 for a horrible manicure. Horrible experience!

Danielle Geandomenico I stopped going here years ago due to bad experiences. Have not missed the place at all. Theyre more expensive for exact same services than most other nail salons- however I went back just to see Blanca for a pedicure because she gives the best leg and foot massage Ive ever had with a pedicure- no one compares. I had my pedicure with her and the massage amazing- the other workers there who do nails only- horrible. Rude as can be. While I waited for someone to finish who could do my nails another employee who could have greeted me or done my nails was doing her nails- for over an hour. Playing with the polishes. Multiple employees were sleeping with their heads down at their work stations the entire time I was there to get my nails done. There was a massage guy who didnt move from his seat the entire time or look up from his phone. Other workers who sat at their desk and stared at phone entire time. It was uncomfortable- as other reviewers have mentioned... this is not the way to operate a business. People could have been working- stocking- cleaning- asking clients if theyd like a water or a massage etc- anything. I was ignored. Multiple times. When I finally got a person who could do my nails she was rude. Anything I asked she was angry and rude. I asked her to help me find a dip color like Funny Bunny and showed her a picture of the color on nails- she was nasty and threw the colors at me and kept repeating these are the only colors we have... my thought here was you are the professional who does dip color day in and day out- so show me what you know is a soft white color- she didnt want to help she wanted me to pick a color even though I couldnt find a soft white at all or a white in general. I was frustrated. I looked at the employee sitting next to her and showed her the picture and said do you know of a soft white? She totally blew me off and nodded her head as if to tell me dont talk to me! She said No! You ask her she will help you those are the colors! Incredibly rude. And my thought was yes Id love for her to help me- but she doesnt want to. After we picked a color she was throwing my hands around and yanking them as Ive noticed the ones with attitude do- which honestly makes me so angry. Im paying you. Im paying you for a service. Not to take out your frustrations on me and be nasty. Im literally paying 50.00 (overpaying by 10.00 bc Coco nails over charges for everything compared to other salons) for you to do a simple dip and youre being short and nasty and rude. Anything I asked like can they be a little shorter was met with excuses and basically being told no. Its insane and such a terrible experience- one of many reasons I stopped going years ago and found other places. Mind you- I was only back because I just had a baby and really was craving an amazing pedicure massage from Blanca. So long story now- I will never ever go back for nails. I will see Blanca only for massage. I wanted to make sure hopefully the owner Theresa sees this and changes how she is managing this location and her staff- bc at this rate- wow. She wasnt there and was at a second location. Your employees are sitting around with their heads down, scrolling their phones, sleeping at their station, ignoring customers and on top of it all being down right rude. There is nothing about that experience that would make a person want to return for a service. Terrible. The place I go regularly now is Holly Nail by Veterans and wow they are so friendly and nice and sweet and less money.

danielle wright i’ve been going there forever and never had a problem they have new people there and i was going to walk out and the one lady was harping on me to stay sit down and to relax and that they all knew what they were doing. I spent a total of 2 hours there and my nails came out horrible. I asked them to fix it and “they did” meanwhile they are thick uneven and have dents in them. i got powder dip i am very unhappy with this and will not be going back. The lady also cut 2 of my fingers with the drill and did not seem to care that i was bleeding

Christina Cullen I’ve been going to Miya Nail Spa for almost three years now, and I’ve never been disappointed! I always get UV gel manicures, and my nails are stronger than ever. The Milk and Honey Pedicure is amazing—it includes a honey scrub, clay therapy, callus remover, and a super relaxing 10-minute massage. My feet always feel so smooth and refreshed afterward! The technicians are fantastic and really take their time to make sure everything is perfect. I always leave happy. Highly recommend giving them a try!

Celina 好的 THE GOOD: reward system, walk-ins, convenient area and parking… 坏的 THE BAD: Careless, Lack of education, inappropriate use of E-File: I post pictures of ring of fires (lines on my natural nail bed) after coming multiple times to get a fill in. I have come to learn that this is inappropriate way of using the electric files (E-files). The lines on my natural nails is an example of lack of natural nail care and lack of education.(我天然指甲上的线条是缺乏天然指甲护理和缺乏教育的一个例子) I also noticed they do not care for lifts on acrylic enhancements. They will apply new product on top of lifts which is a health concern as bacteria can breed in the lifts. I post this to spread knowledge so that we can speak up and hopefully improve the quality of care of our nails. Continue education is necessary. I post pictures of educational videos(请观看教育视频). I see them practicing on themselves on their free time, however there’s more effective ways to improve the quality of care of the clients nails. Unfortunately when a business is driven by money caring for the client is not priority and it becomes evident over time. Unless things change, I’m taking a break from this place as my nails take time to heal. (我正在从这个地方休息一下)

Stephanie E I just moved to SI so I was looking for a regular nail spot. After seeing all the reviews, I came in and was overall, not disappointed. So theres that. Pros: clean, nice atmosphere, great massage chairs, parking in back, great gel color selection, overall good work with uv gel set and gel manicure. Ask for Suki for your pedicure! Cons: Ive booked appointments for 12:30pm and 3:00pm on two Saturdays and come early or on time and still had to wait about 20 minutes after arriving to even be seated at a station. The last time two different people did my hands alone. I shouldve remembered the girl that did my nails the first time cause she was amazing. A spot on my thumb was not polished but its not the end of the world. My nails arent filed to my liking (square) but, now I know who not to ask for. This is my second visit, and I do not plan on staying here for Services. I noticed other customers were offered a discount card for $5 off at the fifth visit. I waited to see if I would be offered one but nope, I had to ask after paying. Its not even the $5 its the thought of customer service/engagement.

A R I was recommended to go to Hana nails by a good friend of mine who regularly goes to joy. Upon my arrival to the salon I was seated 20 mins after my appointment time with a different woman who wasnt joy, They didn’t ask me or tell me if this was ok, they just sat me down with her and I’m thinking that this is Joy. I don’t know the woman’s name who did my nails but all I know is I will never return it was the worst gel manicure I’ve ever gotten in my life and I’ve been doing my nails for about eight years. Not only was she rude she kept answering her phone every five minutes she filed down my nails so much that my cuticles were raw, and what normally takes me two hours took 1. I left that Salon with crooked nails. It was so bad to the point where I did an about face when I left & asked them to redo these because I couldn’t leave the salon with the way my nails looked, They sent me back with the same girl who messed up my nails and she made them even more crooked than the first time. They charged me $85 and all they could tell me was they were sorry, they even called my cellphone to apologize again. But they still kept my money!! Now a week later my nail broke if I’m paying $85 for my nails they should last more than a week. I will never return to this establishment and I will never recommend this place to anybody, everybody should avoid this place by all means.

Aneta Bernard They did not even touch my cuticles. I had to do them at home myself. The layer of a nail polish was so thick it chipped off 2 days after the service. Today, 2 days before Christmas instead of cooking and packing presents I have to redo my nails.

Haydee Correa I used to go here for bikini waxes. One day I noticed a couple of the Asian men who work there standing inside the store. They disappeared after I asked for a wax. As I was looking up at the false ceiling, waiting to get my wax done, I saw one of the ceiling tiles diagonally across from where I was lying down being removed and one of the men I had previously seen outside of the store poked his head through the ceiling in an attempt to catch a glance of my lady parts! DISGUSTING! When I noticed him, I quickly got up and told the woman who was supposed to do my wax. She didnt understand or acted like she didnt. When the man saw I had noticed him, he quickly stuck his head back up into the ceiling and replaced the tile. Luckily, the lady had not started yet. I told her what I had observed. She acted like she didnt understand English. I left. I shouldve called the police. God knows how many times that peeping Tom has done that to unsuspecting female customers! DO NOT GO THERE FOR WAXES!!!

And they go the extra mile on the pedi even on the regular pedis on the extra $10.00 pedi OMGosh your feet look brand new, and they have massage chairs. You go anywhere else they dont massage your feet/legs just slap in some lotions on your feet and thats it. At AAA nails they go the extra mile on pedi, and your nails!

Sarah Perez 50 dollars for a gel manicure/pedicure and they literally spend no time doing anything. When it comes to scrubbing your foot they use hand soap and tell you if you want more to pay another 25 for a spa pedicure or 5 for callus remover even if you dont have calluses and just wanted a decent scrub. Hands down worst salon Ive ever been to.

Kaylin Cust I’m here today and I have been refused service by the owner or whoever he was because I just LOOKED at the shape of my nails, he told me I’m a “problem” because I wanted him to do my nails properly. Deena A I’m sorry but the workers here genuinely hate their lives. They missed the cuticles completely and they gave us a rainbow of layers with the colors. The nail polish seemed old and they also filed the nails even shorter than they were. I had damaged nails which is why they are so short but she filed them to the nubs. The colors were streaking and dragging yet they continued to layer them on. I will genuinely never go back. The lady that did the white coat especially hated her life because she didn’t even bother filing the nails in the pedicure. She genuinely touched the toe, looked at it, and moved on. I would recommend going somewhere else if you are not doing gel because they obviously don’t care about the regular polish.

Kristina Weiss Do NOT go here! Today was an absolutely horrible experience. When I was getting my gel manicure, the corner of my nails were filed so sharp that it could cut someone, which she did. Then, the base coat was put on so sloppily that it was sticking to the skin on my finger underneath most of my nails. I asked her if she could remove it, but she said that it will wash off in the sink and left globs of base coat under my nails. Then, as I was getting my color, she took off the polish multiple times because she kept messing up. Since she kept redoing them, I ended up being there almost 2 hours. She put 3 layers of base coat on them which I thought was really strange, but I just wanted to get home to my family who’s in from out of town for my shower. I quickly paid and went out to my car. Once I looked at my nails in the parking lot, I was absolutely shocked that this woman would let me walk out of the salon with these nails, knowing it is my bridal shower tomorrow. I went back inside and showed them my nails and immediately 3 technicians started to get very defensive and tell me that if I want a refund, I need to sit another 20 minutes to take off the polish, which I had no time to do. One technician started to get loud with me about how they should be paid for their time, which I agree 100%, which is why I wasn’t asking for my tip back. I ended up with a botched manicure and a free manicure for the future, which I absolutely never intend to use. Now I have to go get my nails done again tomorrow somewhere else.

Irene Perdikologos The prices were reasonable, but the tools were extremely dirty. I gave them a second chance, returning to ask the staff to clean their tools. However, the man I spoke to just laughed and continued without addressing the issue. When I pointed out that all the tools were filthy, he simply ignored me. Definitely not a place I’d recommend or ever go back.

Sunnie Hn Went to this Salon for a Brazilian wax, which includes all genital area! (mentioned on google too), picture attached. I also request for half upper legs...as mentioned on their website, pics attached, I should have been charged $90.00. However, once I went to pay. I was told that the butt area was not included in the Brazilian wax and my hair was too much (loudly infront of all other clients; which it wasnt) so they charged me more! Making my total $150.00 plus tip. I tried to reason with them but the lady incharge wasnt bothered when i asked her what in paying another $60.00 for? Do not recommend at all...

Mona Awad I finally gave in to the nail craze after a 15 year ( at the very least) hiatus. This salon is a 3 minute walk from home so I said hey, Why not? Well. I went on a Sunday an hour before closing after debating it for hours. I dealt with Lily, but I was greeted warmly by all. Lily was quick, precise, and attentive to my requests. I showed her a picture and she gave me exactly that. I did a classic coffin nail set and I’m OBSESSED! One day later I broke a nail (not what you’re thinking- it was admittedly my fault completely) I walked right over for the repair. She noticed a few self inflicted blemishes (cutting salad and accidentally cutting the corners of my nails with the knife) and filed them down and repainted them.
