5 /5 Cerina Shao: Finally got my nails done at Mama’s Nail and Spa after coming across their aesthetically-managed Instagram. Their posts are so nicely curated and the salon is no less. There are a variety of snacks and beverages offered to customers, even a Keurig machine for your use! Nail polishes are nearly arranged and adorned with a variety of gold and marble decor, and some succulents. The most eye-catching part was the glitter filled polish bottles, resembling a giant nail lacquer bottle.
I came in unsure if I wanted dip powder or gel. Malsha helped me weigh the pros and cons for the two types of manicures, but I went for the gel. She was patient with me when I couldn’t decide which shade of pink I wanted. She was honest about which color suited my skin tone and which shades clashed. Having really short nails make it really difficult to paint; most times the polish ends up on my skin and as a result, premature lifting. I left the salon with a clean mani and nothing on my cuticles!
This is my first time at Mama’s and it definitely won’t be my last. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the ambience is not like the other nail salons where it’s loud and smells like fumes. The interior is so chic, it really felt like a treat getting my nails done here. I definitely will be back to do a pedicure so I can take advantage of their 15% off soft opening promo.
