Family Nasy Alla is a great colorist, nice cuts and she has a great personality. She did my hair very professional she s fantastic recommend her for coloring and highlights if you want a paraprofessional hair color. Alla is the best

Ester Borok I have been coming to this salon for almost 20 years and even after Angela and Erik took over soon after I started coming (as a teenager), the salon has only gotten better!! I highly recommend every colorist, stylist and manicurist there. The service is great and once you are a loyal customer, they treat you like family!! I love A&E!!

Olesia Mih I came to make a regular blow dryer for a party. Galina said that my haircut was bad and offered to clean a couple of curls from behind. I clicked the scissors twice and thats it! Then I laid the curls a little and fixed everything with a spray. It was beautiful. And I was satisfied. Until the payment came up! 120! But the hair dryer costs 25!!! I paid and left! I will never come here again! They know how to work, but you feel cheated! And now I go weekly to another salon, where you are not poked around under the guise of trying to stick in an unnecessary service. And increase the price by 5 times! Its terrible when they cheat as much money as possible! Just scammers! I dont recommend going here unless you want to feel stupid for your own money!

1957arm This is a great salon in the beginning but as time went on it just got worse. I went for 3 years. At least twice the bleach was left too long and even though I didnt want a very short haircut I got it. Once I said I wanted to go gray my hair was going silver it was met with "theres not enough yet" and again bleach burn and hideous uneven haircut. I wanted them to start weaving silver into but the reaction was a negative lie. I never went back and have never been sorry.

Karina Romero Recently moved to Jackson Heights and needed a great Dominican hair salon for the long-term. Came across Amiris hair salon through a Google search as the Top 10 best hair salons in the area. I must say Google was not wrong for mentioning Amiris as the top 10 best hair salons in Jackson Heights. My hairdresser was Paula (Loved her). She was very nice, attentive, and a true hair dresser that cares about your hair and makes you feel welcome. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and professional. The salon is immaculate and clean. I never been to a hair salon so clean and well organized as Amiris hair salon. Finally, I found a hair salon that is honest, customer service oriented, welcoming, friendly, quality over quantity when it comes to your hair. I am glad I found this hair salon and will be my permanent spot. Thank you, _Karina

Michelle Espinola Great hair stylists, the women who work there are helpful with fast efficient service. Came in for a wash, hair cut and blow dry. Got a fantastic blow dry, my hair is a 4B curl it was straight for 5 days. Very reasonably priced, definitely will be coming back.

Hader Abdelnaby I went to get my hair colored after another salon ruined it, and this salon was amazing!!! My natural hair is black and the hair stylist didn’t even use bleach to lighten my hair she used an amazing hair dye. I’m so pleased with my hair will be coming here often!! Very happy with results ❤️❤️❤️

Angie O’Neill The staff were very sweet. I love the way my haircut came out they did a wonderful job. When I was getting ready to leave it was raining outside and the woman went out of her way to give me a shower cap as to not ruin my hair. Would definitely recommend

Anytime I need a day of relaxation and pampering, I come here. I have curly hair and they always do a great job with my blow out. I highly recommend them to anyone in the area!

Chris Styles Salons like this are a rare find nowadays! A Professional and FULL SERVICE salon! The staff are knowledgeable, experienced, friendly, reliable and accommodating. My hair and nails come out flawless EVERY TIME! I love this place! Like i said, unfortunately, salons like this seem to be few and far between nowadays.

Chenell McBean Overall I did not like my experience but am satisfied with the results of my hairstyle which was a silk press and hair cut (from lower bra strap/upper mid back to collar bone length). I made an appointment on style seat and was treated as a walk in due to me, the customer, not calling to confirm the appointment even though I received a confirmation email that the appointment is booked. Keep this in mind when booking. I waited over an hour to start to be seen, which had I not desperately needed a haircut, I would have left but the wait time isn’t necessarily a make it or break it for the experience. My “appointment” was at 1, I left that salon at 6:46 for a silk press and hair cut. There was a lot of time bought so that other customers could be attended to in between. For example, after my hair was washed, I was placed under the hooded dryer to begin drying my hair, which I’ve never experienced before for a silk press. When I started asking the assistant what’s going on and what the time frame is looking like because I had been there for a while at that point, she started to listen but walked away and did not finish the conversation even though she said she’d be back. But anyway, when I was finally in the stylist’s chair, that was the most aggressive blow dry I have EVER had. It was uncomfortable. I feel like it ripped out an unnecessary amount of my hair. Then when straightening my hair, she went over the same sections MULTIPLE times. Multiple. I asked that she not do that, she explained why it’s beneficial to- because it keeps the hair straight longer- but she will try to minimize the repetitiveness. Even with the minimization, she still did sections multiple times. The silk press did last 3 weeks and some days (and could have been longer if you’re into that) though I did express that the primary reason for the silk press was solely to get a hair cut, not so much for the hairstyle. I hope there’s no heat damage. About to find out soon. Moving on to the hair cut. The hair cut was rushed. There are some uneven sections of my hair that I was hoping would have gotten more attention but it was a generalized haircut. Overall it was still a decent cut and I did get compliments on the healthy look of my hair afterwards. What really got me about this whole encounter is when it was all said and done and I asked for my hair to be wrapped, I was told no because there’s another customer waiting. It was the audacity for me. It was raining outside. I was offered a shower cap but I brought one. Then I was up charged for the style, on the highest end of the ranges, just as a fyi for pricing and told to account for the NYS tax when zelle-ing because it’s going to the business account. So all in all the cost was $142. I’ve recommended this salon to my family in the past and they’ve come to get their hair done and moving forward if they want to continue to come, that is their prerogative, but I won’t be so quick to return and would recommend with caution.

Genia Michelle As a first-time customer, Upon walking in, I was not greeted or welcomed, even though the owner, Jessica, was working near the entrance. A warm smile or acknowledgment would have made a better first impression. The stylist who worked on my hair did a great job, but unfortunately, Jessica’s demeanor affected the overall experience. She appeared unapproachable and had a harsh expression, which came across as unwelcoming. Additionally, I observed Jessica speaking to her staff in a condescending tone, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. It gave the impression of a toxic work environment, as there seemed to be a lack of mutual respect between her and her team. When I inquired about product pricing, I found her approach to customer service lacking. This would have been a perfect opportunity to provide clear details, build rapport, and enhance the customer experience, but it felt like an afterthought. Overall, Jessica’s negative energy overshadowed what could have been a positive visit. Reading through other reviews, it’s clear that Jessica is a significant factor in the negative environment that she creates. I hope she considers improving her attitude and customer service skills to create a more welcoming environment for both customers and her team.

Christina Scott This salon has impeccable care for clients. I called in the morning for a same day appointment and they were able to call me back with an appointment time within 5 minutes at stylist by the name of Cassandra. When I arrived to the salon, the stylist knew exactly why I was there and went straight to working on my hair. She communicated her process to me and cared for my natural hair with patience. My first time experience with this salon was a 10/10 and I would definitely recommend others to come here.

Olivia Rose As you can tell if you read my reviews, I stick with the old and familiar. This Salon has been in my neighborhood forever. I was there the first day it opened and I have been going there ever since. I trust them with my hair and their stylist are the only ones that I trust to cut my hair. They dye, wash-and-set, deep condition, weaves, whether its a sew in or taking out, and they accommodate all hair types. I Have a few favorite stylist and washers but they are all good. If you want your hair washed and scratched like no other find auntie she does it the best. I highly recommend the salon and their prices are unbeatable. They have begun to charge for bobby pins 4 pin curls so bring your own pins. Stay off following c-19 guidelines but before c-19 we used to get coffee and donuts and orange juice. They love their customers and it shows.

Sharae Dolce I am a long term client at this fabulous salon! The salon is definitely high end, but the cost is absolutely worth it! The hair techs are friendly and experienced! From color, cut, hair design, you will be very pleased! Just be ready for the compliments coming your way! Everyone is professional and the salon is well maintained!

Amanda Star4 I had to detangle my own hair. 3c hair. I should add Im dominican and the #1 dominican salon couldnt untangle my dominican hair. After telling me it would take her all day, I snatched that comb and took 15 mins total. Got conditioner all over my shirt, arms and purse. They specialize in permed hair and short hair. They charged me $65. Result was cute but thats not all I care about. I shouldnt have to touch a comb.

Samantha Mones THE WAY THEY DO HAIR IS AMAZING ONLY!!!! Other than that they are pretty rude and sometimes like to overcharge. Im Dominican and I go in there acting like I don’t speak Spanish and the way they talk about clients is crazy. But they work of the blonde pixie cute lady is Amazing her hands are gods gift but honestly they are lazy sometimes and just very rude. I come like as a backup place.

Today I wanted to do color to my hair and after speaking to one of the hair stylists about the best options I have without damaging my hair we decided on red and I LOVE IT SOO MUCH! Lixiang Huang Love the people there, everyone is so warm and friendly! My son always gets compliments from all his friends and classmates after a "tailoring of his hair" there. :) He knows all the "hair style technicians" by names now. Tips: be there at 9:55 o. SATURDAY OR SUNDAY MORNING, otherwise it could be a 0.5 hour wait time as it is always BUSY.

I went in with a friend for a simple color treatment—no bleach, nothing extreme—and paid $150, expecting a boost in my look. Instead, my hair has never felt so rough, unhealthy, and damaged. The color treatment, which should have been gentle, left my hair in a state I couldn’t have imagined: brittle, frizzy, and completely lacking the natural shine I once had. I trusted the salon with my hair, believing their expertise would deliver a beautiful, healthy result. Instead, I walked out feeling like I had been through a chemical disaster. My friend and I left with more than just a new color—we both ended up with hair that clearly needed extensive care to recover from the damage. I’m seriously questioning their techniques and the products they use. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this salon to anyone who values the health of their hair. Save your money and look for a place that truly understands how to care for hair rather than damaging it in the name of a “simple” color. Also the staff were so rudeee like sooooo rude!!!!

I was recommended by 3 friends that came here to get their hair done and I will highly recommend this place. Price was very reasonable considering my hair length. My hair is so silky shinny soft it’s day 2 and it looks and smells great.

Iris Fang Will be my go to barber shop going forward! Sam is the best hairstylist! I have thin and white hairs, also less hairs… Was asking if I could do hair coloring and perms together, Sam is honest to me that I could only did one of it otherwise my hair will be dried and dead. Ended up did the hair dyeing, turns out a great color as I want. Will back again and have Sam cut my hair going forward.

Floira Benitez I wish i could have a negative 0 rating .purchased a $4.99 product and trusted the lady at the register with the color suggestions. I opened to try it, and its completely different. Ran right back to the store to exchange it for one that cost $12.99, and they refused. The manager explains that based on my nationality, my hair is different, so the color is different. He clearly said that because Im not Asian and my hair is curly, it doesnt look the same. Very racist and unprofessional. When they first opened their service was good but now its trash.

Cindy Y I want to first say that I usually do not write negative reviews. However, my experience here compels me to write one. I usually don’t enjoy getting haircuts because I usually don’t like the result, and I prefer my hair before the cut; but my experience this time can be considered traumatizing. Usually, the stylist just cuts and blow dries my hair. For some reason, the stylist I had this time used a straightening iron on me, even though my hair is straight already. It may be a little frizzy sometimes after a wash and blow dry, but I’ve never used a straightener on it. After he used it on my hair, my hair became so flat and lifeless. This is will be the last time that I get a haircut in a salon. The feeling of absolute regret and helplessness as someone does damage to your hair is not anything I want to experience ever again. I cut my hair myself during the pandemic , and it was the only time that I was happy with a haircut. I prefer cutting it myself from now on. The feeling is worse because I feel like I should have stopped the stylist while he was using the straightening iron on me. I didn’t know the damage it would cause to my hair, even though I had a feeling that it was not good for the hair. I feel like before they use any heating treatment / device on my hair, they should ask if I want it. I came in for a cut, not some straightening. Since this horrible experience, I’ve also read up on the spiritual significance of hair. I realize that hair is more than just an accessory on our bodies to style in order to look good; but that it’s actually an extension of ourselves, and can hold energies. I will never allow someone to damage my hair like that again. It feels horrible to pay $55 to feel this badly afterwards.

Yael **Extreme Curly Hair Beware** Trying to save any curly-haired girlie from this place. Came in for a pink, the color was turning out purple, so I told them. They put in a darker color after showing them what I wanted. Color came out red. Told there was damage. Forecefully got a Keratin. Keratin was placed, then washed out in 15 minutes. Practically had no choice because I was scared to death. Overall: Traumatized. Hair damaged, color retoned back to original balyage color. Keratin didnt work, still curly and damaged. I paid $580. Please avoid this place if you do not have straight hair. First pic: Hair I came in with. Second pic: Hair color I asked for. I also didnt want my whole head to be pink. They did not listen. Third pic: Hair color I got. Practically cried. Was offerred a re-tone. I went back two days later. Fourth pic: Hair after my own wash, after the tone down. String, damaged, curly. No keratin affect. Katie Chan I love coming here! i normally come for a hair cut or trim, occasional color, and i leave happy every time. Their prices are reasonable and service is great. I live around the corner and they are always willing to take me as a walk in or appointment! I’m so glad to have a good hair salon in the area.

Andrea Santos cruz Booked an appointment a few ago and the prices are crazy for the results. I didn’t even ask for highlights or some crazy stuff, I only asked for one simple hair color and the lady messed it up, it all came out different spot colors and they were about to proceed and style it right after which had me in shock they did not even ask if I was okay with the results till I told them to please fix it and of course they had to but they went to go redo and fry my hair more. I spent nearly 400-450 and plus having to give out tips for me to not even be satisfied and ended up coming out worse with my hair very fried, scalp feeling weak and at this point I didn’t even want to say anything because i still felt bad for the lady and i know they wouldn’t have gave me any of my money back.. Point is, don’t come to this place or make sure you have a person with actual experience.

JING CAO I come here weekly for my occasional blow outs. They are super efficient and know exactly what I want. My curls last over a week to be honest. Haha. Every month I come for a root touch up as well. The color match is always perfect. My favorite salon!!!

Having been a loyal client of Dannys for the past four years, I can confidently say that he consistently delivers exceptional service. Dannys meticulous approach and attention to detail ensure that every haircut is tailored to perfection. He skillfully cuts my hair in three different styles, demonstrating his versatility and expertise. Moreover, the experience doesnt end with the haircut. The hair washing service provided at this Salon is unparalleled. The attentive staff spends a generous 10 to 12 minutes massaging the scalp, creating a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Its truly one of the best hair washes Ive ever had. To top it off, I received a fantastic blowout, leaving me feeling confident and polished. Overall, I couldnt be happier with my experience. Karla Z I had the wash and blowout service done. I could say the wash was amazing with the quick head massages included. As for the blowout portion, I was not very pleased with the stylist (male with AirPods on) as he was persistent on using hot tools when I kept asking for no hot tools on my hair (besides the blow dryer and brush only). He seemed annoyed with my request and sprayed my hair and clothing with water to redo the “blow out”.

Yeyeong Kong My hair never felt this damaged before. This is the very first time that my hair got this damaged. I came here for a dark brown balayage but I ended up getting a gray hair color. I had to come back the next day to repair my hair color and they completely damaged it and they still didn’t get the color right. I ended up paying $420 for a damaged hair and not getting the color that I wanted.
