Ashley Baron I luckily only really go to the doctors once a year for my yearly physical check up so I cant say much in extent to how things typically go here if you are a more frequent patient. But I was disturbed by a comment made during one of my physicals. After I went over everything with the doctor, which was my typical quick visit, she said "well I dont know what else to say because it seems you are healthy. Most of my patients have a laundry list of things we need to go over." I said "geez Im sorry to hear that." Her response was "well its good for me." I was appalled and still am to this day. This is our medical system. Keep people sick because its job security for the big pharma, insurance companies, and the medical institutions who get to continuously bill them and get paid to write prescriptions.

Ronald Dennison So far, I have had good experiences seeing Jordyn Sampson at 31 Sherman, She has treated me well. Thank you for your support on my Health.

Nancy Larson I have been with FHMS only a couple of years. I changed my doctor when I saw that Dr. Whitmore was opening her practice there. She was my PA there before she went to medical school. I can’t imagine ever going to another doctor. She listens to me! And she takes as much time as I to answer my questions. I have ALWAYS been able to get through quickly when I have called the office, and everyone I have dealt with in the office has be respectful, helpful and courteous!

Audrey G. I went for my first appointment with Dr. Whitmore and FHMS yesterday. Ive had rather bad and scary medical care since retiring from another health system in Michigan and moving here to Chautauqua County 4 years ago. Guess I got spoiled in Michigan. But, this office in Jamestown seems very professional and clean. Dr. Whitmore seems to be thorough. She listens and spent some time. The patient portal is functional. I am cautiously optimistic.

Denise Patterson Dr. Whitmore and her staff, including the receptionist, have been very respectful and accommodating. The wait time upon arrival has been minimal, as well as once in the exam room. Dr. Whitmore takes the time to listen, as does her nurse. I use the portal for communication, which has been helpful and effective. Calling the office # is impossible as you will be on hold forever

Tami Risley The doctors, nurses and their staff have always been courteous, knowledgeable, and very helpful for all 10 years that Ive been going there. Definitly 5 stars! Mike Ludwig has been spot on and always sent me in the right direction for tests or specialists and even emergency surgery the next day. Ludwig is my saving grace and gives me faith in medical professionals.

Daniel L Wysocki Mike Ludwig and his staff in Mayville are awesome,Id give them 5 stars any day! However Ive gone to FHMS for over 20 years and have watched become a successful "business",and less of a family practice. The first thing asked when you call isnt your medical issue, but what insurance you have, then you go on hold for however long it takes to verify its in effect. Theyve lost or let go some of their best folk and in the last few years it seems the practice has lost its humanity. In fairness I think it has a lot to do with Government sticking its nose in medicine.Just wish they still focused on the patient and not the payment.

Ben Thompson Dr Mike and Dr Berke are both very Profesional and care about their patients. This is by far the most competent medical practice around. If you want to get better and people to care about your treatment I recommend making an appointment.

Clarissa Dickey The women staffed here were wonderful. Theyre respectful, reassuring, and actually want to help you. Whether youre being immunized, treated for STDs, or just getting birth control-they make it quick and easy. Its a damn shame the planned parenthood part is being shut down later this year.

John Moriarty Everyone was friendly, helpful, thourough, and by the book. Probably an under utilized asset to the area with a new MACU to help those in health care isolated areas.

Vlad Tchompalov They go above and beyond. My dad was admitted here for a long stay. Sarah, Cindy and Vincent went well outside of their normal duties to help and care for him. The hospital staff has been wonderful.

Heather Mencer This hospital is my number one choice when I am in respiratory distress. The care I receive here from checking into the ER to discharge has been unmatchable. Because of my condition I have been admitted to hospitals locally as well as out of state so my comparison experience is broad. I was received in a timely manner. My triage nurse was prompt, thorough and friendly. She made accommodations to support my comfort. My time in the ER was with the same nurse and she continued to display her skills as a hospital veteran. The attending ER doctor was able to convey his diagnosis with clarity, confidence and in a timely manner. The X-ray technician was able to take my images in room with efficiency because of my weak state. The register was brief, yet a pleasant experience. My admittance to the hospital was a smooth transition by a kind tech who also gave me skilled care in the ER. At this point I was emotional because I finally felt safe in my distress. It felt as though I was home with family. The care I received from Dr. Berke on the patient floor was exemplary. His personal compassion was comforting and reassuring as we discussed my treatment plan. The nurses who cared for me durning my stay were all positive attitudes, attentive, prompt, professional, and emotionally up-lifting. They provided ample fresh supplies to aide in recovery. The cleaning staff was quiet and left the space smelling fresh. The phlebotomy team was able to do their job with minimal pain helping to make my experience more pleasurable. The biggest surprise that took me back was the food. The Chef is a former restaurant owner and the flavors that come through make that obvious. Also know that portion sizes are liberal. My room was very comfortable, clean and fairly easy to move around in. You know the whole scene with an IV connection can pose challenges but staff is here to help. The bed unit was very easy to operate and offers a USB charging port and special pocket for your phone located on the left side. The jersey bed sheet and the heavy blanket would be my only complaint. On tender skin they are abrasive. I found a work around by covering the bed with a basic flat sheet and adding another over me with the blanket on top sandwiching me into a cozy cocoon that enables rest. Even the lighting at night was soothing and my room was quiet enabling my sleep. My second doctor, Dr. Whitmore, has the demeanor of an old friend. Her care is gentle, easygoing and thoughtful. Just as her father Dr. Berke, their genuine concern for your well-being is evident. To say that you are sad to be discharged from a hospital is out of the ordinary but this is an extraordinary establishment. Thank you Westfield Memorial Hospital and Allegheny Health Network, St. Vincent Hospital for helping me thrive on my respiratory journey.

Veronica Flick We had a stopover for a corneal abrasion and the care was way above the standard of care, from the front desk all the way through everyone there. They took us in right away. They were efficient and kind. And thanks to the ladies, we left with a good eye and with a recommendation that saved a bunch of Miami people. They really care. THANK YOU!!!!!

Susan Eichelberger I have always used Westfield Memorial for my needs as I do not trust UPMC. They have always been at the very least been decent but the last time I was there my sweet goofy 150 pound Alaskan Malamute pulled me down three concrete stairs. My right knee was very bad. My children brought me in. I became very overwhelmed as the staff refused to allow my daughter to sit with me until I was almost done. I am a fairly recent widow. My husband died under medical care. My son had cancer at 9 and being all alone in that curtain sspacesent me into one of the worst panic attacks I have ever had. I was crying and no one ever tried to calm me down. The doctor who I dont even know his name. He was tall and had black hair. I literally only saw him for a collective I 10 minutes. A few extras and 1 Ibuprofen ( which I have no idea of the strength) I was given a brace and crutches. I went home and noticed my hands were very bruised and filled with gravel and glass that I had to sit and soak out myself. I had to ask for a doctors note and the nurse had to go get it as I was released. He didnt discuss it with me,he never asked if the Ibuprofen worked( spoiler alert it didnt) Never offered anything else, barely asked about my meds and never even asked why I was constantly crying. No one did ,no one cared. They were not that busy. It was a terrible visit. I think next time I will go to Buffalo or someplace in Ohio. I have not had the best experiences with the local hospitals here in Chautauqua County. I also noticed that this hospital has stopped replying to the comments on here. That is sad. After what happened I am definitely leaning to not coming back here. I hope this hospital cleans up its act and become the hospital it once was.

Vanessa Ann I am incredibly grateful to Westfield Memorial Hospital for the excellent care they provided to a friend of mine during her stay. The nurses and staff were exceptional, showing kindness and professionalism throughout her time there. My friend repeatedly praised the warmth and attentiveness of everyone she encountered. Additionally, the staff was consistently communicative with me, keeping me informed and reassured. Thank you for making a challenging time much easier for all of us.

Dustin Reagan Not only unprofessional, I would also like to add I think some of the administration could possibly be misusing money from many insurance providers.I also would implore to say they need a swell approach on the misconduct laws and the abuse of self subscription to medication. The doctor was slurring her words. The dentist dept denied my appointment saying it wasnt there, I have documents to prove so.

Evarie Johnson Oh man, if there was an option for a negative review .. I WOULD GIVE IT!!!! Ive been with this place for a year now.. and this has been my experience. I made a dentist appointment LAST YEAR .. they canceled it, "Dr wont be in" made another one A YEAR OUT, they canceled that one with no reasoning to why. Made another, oh guess what .. canceled that one too. I was diagnosed with something medically .. never followed up with a treatment plan .. so instead of dealing with the annoying process of these idiots.. I self treat. Even though it DOESNT WORK AND I NEED TO BE MEDICALLY TAKEN CARE OF! I had medical concerns, and instead of being properly treated, I was told to look it up on Google, and to check out the condition on tik tok. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!? So, if youd like to be treated like a joke, have your appointments canceled for no reason, and not properly taken care of .. go here!

fatman fastman Dentist Always cancels appointments. All my Exam appointments have been canceled the last 3 years. I still havent had an exam for my infected tooth!! Its hard to get anyone to call you back. If you get ahold of someone to get in for an emergency appointments they tell you they dont have any appointments until a year away... why even bother having a dental office???

Renate Bob I love Dr. Kidder . She is very kind and responsive, but the Chatauqua Center is often very difficult to reach and sometimes you can’t reach anyone at all. The pharmacy is helpful with very good staff, but they are closed on Saturdays, which is very inconvenient. I switched to a doctor at UPMC for those reasons and back to Wegmans pharmacy for better hours.

Matthew Haehn Less than a star for this outfit. My disabled father whom I assist and I. Have completely lost faith in this establishment. My stepfather has respiratory issues and I cant think of a single visit over the past 10 years. That he has gone and felt heard, understood and properly taken care of. He loathes going to his appointments, just to profess his case, and see nothing change or any work put into any alleviation or increase in his health. All you get are excuses until they finally see how upset you are. THEN they go to work on actually doing what they should have in the first place. I will take him to a back-alley shaman before he schedules another appointment with the Chautauqua Center.

Random T ***FOR THE MENTAL HOSPITAL UNIT ONLY.*** To be honest my 3 stays there when I was in a pretty tough situation in my life was sucky. I don’t like plenty of the staff for their own reasons I’ll explain below. First of all, this was a while back and I’ve heard from a friend who went back there that it’s horrible. Don’t sent a loved one here. For the children’s unit I was in, they constantly had children that were unruly and dangerous (expected, but they barely did jobs to defend anyone), and would just let these kids scream, kick and beat on doors to the point they had to lock everyone else in rooms. Again, expected, but most of the time they didn’t do much to protect the other kids by removing the threat. They just let staff talk to them for an hour and call it a day as everyone else was scared as they threaten to end our lives over a pair of socks. I’ve also heard from friends of mine that some people here were oddly… touchy. Along with that they put me in a room with demonic drawings and curses on my third visit, which they did repaint over after I told them though. About the staff, my biggest concern was a nurse. I think her name was Amy, some platinum blonde dyed hair nurse with a tan. She was the worst nurse in the unit you could have. She would pick favorites with the kids who were specifically the ones who would beat on doors and try to attack other kids, and give them special privileges. Amy would consistently let these kids get away with things she would scold us for, for wether it was ‘they have a tough like’ (which, everyone who’s in the psych ward does), or ‘they have a disability’ (which doesn’t excuse enabling them learning it’s ok to act out). My core memory from my third stay was her searching rooms due to me and my friend passing a note about something personal in my life. I refused the note so they did a search of every room. Amy proceeded to let her favorite kid prance around in everyone’s room when we weren’t even allowed to talk to someone inside their room at their door, let alone go inside. She proceeded to grab my specific journal with all my thoughts, and took it. There was no possible way she could’ve known it was a thoughts journal if she hadn’t looked in it, as I had two. They aren’t even supposed to let people take journals they provide either. Another time I had a bad breakdown in my room due to being upset with Amy’s favorite kid, and I was very upset. I hurt myself numerous times in it, including biting myself and scratching myself (though they dont care wether you hurt anyone here as long as its not traceable to blame on them, as long as they get their paycheck), and then heard later from multiple friends in the ward that the nurses and aids were LAUGHING at my meltdown and making comments about how overdramatic i was being. Mind you, this was a manic breakdown, i was not ok. no one came to check on me or even evaluate me after either. I remember being here once and they had numerous small children who were clearly cases of being bratty children with enabling parents who I would see hit themselves and claim their parents bruised them. Never send a mentally sick or in need family member here, this is a sick place with people who’s only priority is to help themselves, not the people who they are PAID to help. if this hospital has any want to actually help children and adults who are mentally ill, find better staff, for gods sake.

Joanna Swan We were waiting in the lobby of the emergency room for over an hour, while the rest of people visiting went ahead of us including people that came in after us. We went up to the front twice, before they told us the paperwork from the computer that was filled out never even printed out for some reason. No one bothered to ask why we had been waiting for so long without being called back.

Morgan F. Misdiagnosed my loved one’s serious health condition in the ER which could have led to their death if not for a transfer to Hamot. The staff was negligent, nurses took hours to respond to my loved one’s needs and continuously said things like “oh I forgot” or “oh that slipped my mind.” All of this while knowing the patient was in tremendous pain and discomfort. My recommendation to anyone who is at this hospital out of necessity is to request a transfer to Hamot where you will actually be treated properly.

Diane Bryant While visiting relatives for the holidays, I fell on the stairs and injured several areas of my body. Besides several contusions, I fractured my arm, in the wrist area, and caused a head injury. I checked published ratings before choosing where to go, and almost decided against going to UPMC Chautauqua; however, I’m so glad I ignored the negative comments! From the minute I walked in, until the minute I left, I was treated with the upmost kindness and extraordinary professionalism. From the triage nurse to the x-ray technicians, nurses and doctor, I knew I was receiving excellent medical attention. I certainly appreciated the care given to me. Dr. S. Diane S. Bryant (resident of GA and FL) 12/27/24

Julie Anne Daugherty No one ever answers the phone here. Trying to schedule an appointment is impossible. At first, I thought it was because the facility was new and they blamed their phone system. Well it’s been a few years now, and nothing has changed. I don’t know if they are understaffed or what, buf given the cost of this facility, you would think it would be run much better. Don’t recommend.

PJ Sin Chautauqua Center Dental is awful. You wait 6mo to a year for an appointment (even as an established patient with an abscess) and the receptionists are ALWAYS rude and unfriendly. I wouldnt recommend them to an enemy

Karlene K I dont known where to even start. Very hard to talk with any staff on the phone, cant make f/u appointments, never receive call back, numerous medication errors, are just a few of the things we delt with. Stopped going to the clinic over a year ago and still get reminder calls to make an apt! Received one today! Poorly ran and the things that I compained about, were NEVER addressed. Its very sad as its a new place, yet no one cares about the patients!
