Suzanne I want to say I felt very lucky to walk into Urgent Care in Elmira feeling very ill and with body hives and colitis. John and Cameron were wonderful, caring, knowledgeable and helped me a great deal. I had no 5 hour wait in an Emergency rm. I felt very comfortable with them and they truly were very caring and thorough. I am very grateful!

d bar I came hobbling into the Urgent Care 15 minutes before they closed after a deer jumped out in front of me while I was on my motorcycle. I was walking and talking but in some pain and bleeding all over the place with some decent road rash. John and Natalie came to the rescue pretty quick. Patched me up right as rain and had me out the door after about 45 minutes. I never felt like they were rushing to get out and I knew I was being heard and taken care of. John even called me 2 days later to check up and make sure I was doing good.

Jessica Scott Dr. Batniji was amazing! This was my first time using Elmira Urgent Care and I will highly recommend them over Wellnow and Guthrie Walk in any day. Dr. Batniji was kind, personable, knowledgeable and incredibly considerate. The whole process from start to finish was quick and easy, there wasnt any waiting. Thank you so much for taking care of my daughter!

Jennifer Bly Excellent care today. The NP took time to listen, go through my symptoms and did a thorough exam. After seeing two other medical professionals and not getting any answers, I finally got a diagnosis that makes sense. I was treated well, the service was quick and the staff was very friendly. Thank you!!

Fran Rose Terrible! You have to call many times before reaching a human...then the call is lost, disconnected, etc. When you finally get ahold of someone, it isnt the office but a call center! They say "Ill give your dr a message and theyll call you back. NEVER do! My mom had a ct done..waited 2 months to hear back for her results. Finally had to go to the office and demand to see the dr and was told she has a lot of stones in her bladder and will have to be seen by a urologist. Again...waited forever for the referral. She had a biopsy on a strange spot on her head. When we didnt hear back from the dr we assumed that everything was fine. My sister called after 6 weeks to get results and found out that it was skin cancer! The incompetence is absolutely disgusting! My mom has recurring UTIs and was hospitalized in the fall with a uti that turned septic and now we check her with home tests periodically and when she recently had one I took her in to get a script for an antibiotic and was told "if youre testing her all the time youre probably going to find something. " we were told that they treat UTIs by the patients symptoms and that if my mom wasnt having symptoms then we shouldnt worry about it. My mom doesnt get symptoms...she gets sepsis! I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone ...especially if you cant advocate for yourself or have someone who can!

Monica McFadden I have never had a bad experience here. My doctor, resident physician, Dr. Hula Al Rashidy is great. Love Dr. Warren Chin too! The office staff while polite must be understaffed and overworked because I have experienced great difficulties and inconveniences regarding follow up, like appointments scheduled by the office and even knowing about scheduled appointments made by the office(!), Prescription call ins and call backs in general (50-50 hit or miss). Overall would still recommend due to the cutting edge knowledge in the latest medical practices

Thomas Gabriel Terrible, rude, and incompetent staff. Scheduled an appointment to get a new primary after my old primary graduated. Showed up and was told that that doctor was on vacation and that I would have to go to the walk in clinic instead! I told them that I had already been to the walk in clinic and two emergency rooms while waiting for my appointment. They gave me a ton of attitude about squeezing me in with another doctor that same day. That doctor scheduled a bunch of tests to be done and they said they would call me with appointments for them. I waited THREE WEEKS and didnt get a call to schedule any of the tests. I called multiple times and was always told "Well call you back" but never got a call. So I showed up in person with the form ordering the tests to check on why they hadnt been scheduled yet. You can hear the scheduler and the lead nurse talking directly from the window and I overheard them say "I havent gotten around to it yet. Hell just have to wait". Ended up filing a compliant with the hospital over the staff. This is far from the only instance and only a brief summation of my breaking point with them. TLDR; Find another physicians office, this place is literally going to end up killing someone.

Uilleam MacLoganach After many poor experiences with healthcare practitioners in the area, Eastside is a breath of fresh air, between the Primary Care office and Walk-In clinic, I have had good experiences. I dont feel judged and they actually listen. I would give 5 stars if not for the fact that you do sometimes need to call multiple times to actually get someone on the phone.

Lisa When a patient comes in, you pay attention to whats said, leave your personal opinion out and treat the patient professionally!! This facility let a patient with auditory hallucinations walk out the door and go missing, this facility doesnt look at a patients concerns with medical eyes, but personal thoughts and opinions. Not professional. Close your doors if you cant handle your patients

Diana Curran My father was admitted for rehab and IV medication. Physical therapist Kathleen was excellent. Compassionate, professional , great personality. She spent time building his strength and ambulating him. Usually spent around 45 minutes with him. Occupational rehab was limited or not at all. In a 8 hour visit I would see a staff member twice - when lunch and dinner were brought into the room. If medication was due then nursing would come into the room. His family assisted him with personal care and feeding if needed. At night he would hear staff speaking unkindly about him due to needing assistance. Nurse practitioner Dee Dee was belittling , condescending and rude when speaking to family. Medical staff would not provide updates as to his medical condition. Refused to take phone calls from anyone other than his 82 year old wife. As beautiful as the facility is, the care that it provides is disgraceful.

Kayla Phillips This hospital is really as bad as the reviews say it is. Erica should be fired and Cindy as well my husband was admitted after the emergency room could not get a kidney stone under control. Once he was taken back to the room he would be staying in at 3am I brought some things for my husband to his room at at 3:30 upon me entering the room they said oh yeah you have to leave it’s our policy. I said where nobody in ED mentioned I would have to leave once he was moved i came back in twice through the ED entrance to bring things in and nobody said a word about this policy or that I would not be able to stay with him. They said that’s the policy you have to leave because he’s not dying. I said all patience are entitled to a visitor during this time in which I stated all of that in a calm tone I’m being talked down to told I don’t listen I’m ridiculous etc I pulled up the visitor policy on the website and showed both of them that as his spouse according to the website I was allowed to be at the hospital beyond the 9pm visiting hours, Erica and Cindy argued with me saying they don’t know anything about that and that they werent going by that policy i said please show me in writing where the policy says that I cannot stay they said well i dont have it in writing and i said i do and it days i can stay i explained the problem with your "verbal policy" is it could change by the hour or day today its 9 tomorrow it could be 7 if you decide thats what you want to tell people. she got very upset spoke extremely unprofessionally to me and said she would speak to the charge nurse she ended up calling "security" to have me escorted out. the entire time i never raised my voice never cursed never got animated simply stated facts, due to it being middle of the night i left but after this whole thing i have never encountered such terrible and unprofessional people in the medical field. The way they spoke to me was disgusting their verbiage and complete lack of professionalism is insane I honest to goodness cannot believe they are NURSES with jobs with their behavior and the way they treat the families of patience. Do better for you and your family DO NOT GO TO TROY. Yes I am getting a lawyer involved as the hospital doesn’t seem to care about their reputation or the way their staff is treating patience and their family members.

Albert DeRenzo III St. Joseph Hospital is NOT I repeat NOT A (insert slang word or words hear) joke. Not everyone knows everything and my experiences with the Arnot Rehabilitation Services was just as expected. They treated me with dignity, were patient, and extremely knowledgeable. I look very much forward to continue my Rehabilitation needs in the future. Do not take anybodies opinion about the care they provide including this one. If you are displeased just say so in a respectful manor.

Cheryl Locke St. Joes is a frickin joke. Today, my mom was telling me that she fell out of the bed last night because it has no bed rails. She was screaming and hollering for help with nobody there to help her because she couldnt find her nurse bell in the dark until 2 frickin hours. They didnt let my uncle know that she fell that night because he is her primary health care proxy. Well be filling a complaint about this situation.

Lucinda Wakeman The staff are wonderful. The doctors are wonderful. My child has Medicaid and I saw absolutely NO difference between her care and the care of others with paid insurance. That all being said, the FOOD is absolutely horrible in the Atrium Dining room, both in quality and in selection. The patient meals were awful as well. I tried to supplement the choices with vending machine items, but those are all salty, sugary, fatty or otherwise non-nutritious. As a member of Arnot Health now, I expect better.

Peter Lukens Was admitted for emergency surgery with an eight MM kidney stone. Those of you who have had a K-Stones know the pain. Asked for pain remediation and was treated like a JUNKY instead of a patient in severe pain! I had three RNs come into the room with hands on there hips and tersely asked to check my body for open sores. And they found none. Humiliating experience to say the least. Very unsympathetic nursing staff. Maybe the R.Packer Hospital needs to have a Kidney Stone awareness seminar for there nursing staff.

Stephanie Don’t waste your time coming here. Find a better hospital where the staff actually cares about their patients. The nurses and doctors at this facility are dismissive and even rude. I visited for back pain I had been dealing with for a couple of months, and they accused me of lying. They claimed I was faking my pain because I walked in without showing any discomfort. After the student nurse had me move my back in various directions, my pain returned. I informed the doctor who came in afterward, but instead of helping, they took X-rays, labeled it a pulled muscle, and sent me off with Tylenol. To make matters worse, the doctor wrote in the report that she overheard me telling the student nurse I wasn’t in pain, but the moment she came in, I said I was. She implied that my pain was suspicious and fake. I explained that moving my back caused it to hurt, feel numb, and tingle, but they didn’t take me seriously. I will never return, and I strongly advise others to avoid this place.

Brad Golden The 2.8 rating makes sense to me now. I have always heard great things about Robert Packer. Unfortunately my recent experience is not so great. I am exhausted at trying to get a referral for a specialist at another facility. I am promised that the referrals are sent, the receiving facility tells me they have received nothing! I have no idea where the disconnect is! I called today and asked to speak to admin and was transferred to a nursing supervisor. She promised me follow through and would return my call. It is now, 4 hours later and nothing. I want answers and I am not getting it. Very frustrating to say the least. I am navigating a sudden blindness in a family member at 70 years of age and RPH has been 0 help! I am doing this alone! I just want a damn referral to a specialist! Im tired of asking!!!

Devin Finnerty Do not come here, even if your dying, because they will kill you! I spent 6 days here, and the first three days here, nothing was done, and was nothing but excuses and name calling. So I checked out, ended up puking blood again, they readmitted me, and finally started getting answers, and getting somewhere. The nurses arent trained properly, I literally sat puking for 2 hours calling for nurse over and over again after having stomach procedure, and they ignored me, and then night shift nurses were oblivious to my condition, and basically ignored me. Honestly If I had a emergency I would have been dead, and they would have never known. STAY AWAY!

Dan Colpitts Im thankful for the care I received at Sayre. I was visiting from Fl and I had the signs of a stroke and was driven to the ER by my uncle. After arriving they had a team of doctors and nurses right on top of things immediately and after a few tests and the anti clot medicine they made the decision to transfer me to Rochester. Thank you all for taking great care of me.

Anita Ridgeway My 100 year old friend went here on 11/1/2024. She presented with harsh productive cough. When asked if she should have an x ray she was told to go home and take mucanex and go to her primary if not better by Monday. You might say that to a 30, 40, 50 year old BUT NEVRR TO A 100 year old. Several hours later she went by ambulance to the hospital with pneumonia, tachycardia, and lung blood clot. How dare they dismiss her concerns . Is it because she is older!?SHAME ON YOUR HORRIFIC CARE. SHAME. I hope someone educates this (non) provider on how to properly diagnosis and treat patients.

Amber Reed Went in on 5/24 with sore throat, swollen tonsils and a yellowish bump on left tonsil. Dr. Hassan did a strep swab, came back negative. Dx me with viral infection and sent me home with Claritin. May 26th, in ER, can barely swallow, left ear painful, left tonsil swollen half way into my throat. Dx with peritonsilar abscess and given IV antibiotics and steriods. Do better, there are other bacterial infections than just strep, and I suffered for 4 days because I was told it was viral and would go away on its own.

Kim Keller Guthrie Corning Hospital is a top-notch medical facility with dedicated and caring staff. Despite the longer wait times caused by recent storms requiring everything to be done by paper, the quality of care remains exceptional. The doctors and nurses are highly professional, compassionate, and attentive, ensuring each patient feels valued and well-cared for. The hospital is clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment even during these challenging times. Their commitment to patient care, despite the setbacks, truly sets Guthrie Corning Hospital apart. Highly recommended for anyone in need of medical services!

Naporshyaa Lee The Guthrie ER is nothing more than a Bandaid station. You come in and tell them everything wrong with you, just to spend the next FOUR hours retelling them the same stuff because they don’t talk to each other. Came in at 5:19 Am, gave a urine sample as requested, it wasn’t collected from my room for two hours. Had blood drawn, and then 29 minutes later a more drawn “because it’s a new shift” , this was at 7:36 Am (First blood Draw) and 8:04 Am (Second Blood Draw) And that was just some of the issues of my visit Today. I’ve had numerous issues with this hospital. And I’ve given them so many chances to be better with my care. And unfortunately they just don’t seem to do more than glance at you, make you wait and ship you out the door. I’ve told my family and Friends under no circumstances are they to bring me back here. That I need to be taken to Arnot or the Guthrie in PA.

Elyse R Mary is awesome and deserves a rase, she always makes laugh ans puts a smile on our faces when we come in! It is the closest hospital, the wait is over an hour to be seen in the ER, be prepared to spend 2-3 hours minimum if you come here. I have no idea what criteria this hospital uses for treatment, it doesnt appear consistent. One visit they will take the patient right in another more violent injury they make you wait HOURS without checking on anyone in the waiting room. They may have when forgotten about the patient sitting next to my kid and I right now. A few chairs down, another patient is sitting with an open cut so bad a walk-in or urgent care facility turned them away, they have now been waiting for about 20-30 minutes to be seen by a medical provider and have their cut looked at. (It is now 2:58 pm Eastern Standard Time on 9/28/24) After 3 hours and 8 minutes we are finally in a room. 4 hours after arrival (4:04 pm), my kid is finally seen and diagnosed. The nurse did a better job at consoling me than the provider did.

Ashlynn Letzelter I stayed at EPC for a month back in 2022 when I was 14/15 years old. Upon arrival to EPC from a previous hospital I was at, I felt I had no idea what was going on except the fact I was losing my voice, the general respect everyone deserves, and any chance to feel happy. The whole place feels and looks like it should have been shut down years ago. While I stayed at EPC I wondered if they found the staff off the street, in a way of they were all miserable snd under qualified. Few staff members were kind to me. One male staff even became rude to me after making me uncomfortable by making me sit in my room and talk to him about my dead father and mental issues, and just because I didn’t like him. A group of staff yelled at me and other kids for trying to be respectful about the discussion of THC buisness. Because of the discussion a nurse even threatened to not have me leave me planned day. There was another male staff you liked to get flirty with the almost 18 year old. I witnessed a little boy go psycho on everyone and tried to escape and kill people, and he left two days later… DONT SEND YOUR KID HERE. If your child is mentally unwell, there’s better hospitals. This place is so rundown, prison like, freezing cold, and full of creepy people, if your kid is mentally ill all this place is going to do is slap a sticker on you and give you a pill. And EPC if your going to post videos about how luxurious your looney bin is on YouTube at least mention that even as a child you have no right to tell untrusted staff to even leave your room when they make you uncomfortable because you have no rights there and you have no choice. I could say more but there’s my review

Dani Warner I was a patient in this facility in 2006 and 2007 in their childrens wing, and they had extremely abusive tendencies. They ended up giving me a dose of thorazine because it was "easier than dealing with me" and ended up giving me dental work that permanently ruined my teeth, causing me immense pain. One of the fellow patients assaulted me during one of my two stays, each of which lasted two to three months despite being completely under control and sane by that point.

april Hunt My son was released from the center at 18. He received his high school diploma when he was 27. He is very independant and self sufficient. Society thinks he is a normal person and does not think anything is wrong with him when they meet him. He still depends on me for housing, transportation, and financial. But they are his choices that he feels safe with. He is a pleasure to have in the house and very helpful in multiple ways. The biggest issue I had was lack of bathing. Which should be set up on a schedule. Laundry wasnt being washed. He spent 2 years in there and its quite obvious where the neglect issues are. But society has to care enough to make the difference. As a whole there is mostly ignorance which leads to anger which leads to abuse and neglect of our most innocent victims. In the end most could live a normal and productive life like my son. But the majority of them dont. If you have an ear let them hear. The schools sytems choose!!!!not to educate these children. Which is a major factor in their disability and there abilities to communicate with the doctors. It scares me how much of the disability is education labeled under mental disorder. Society can only blame themselves for their woes.
3 /5
Debra Groshner Extremely unprofessional as they complained about me to our child as I was advocating for our child. Any concerns on their end should have been directed to us, not to the child which damages the relationship. The treatment plan stated they only had to have up to one hour of communication with the family during the entire stay (even if it is for several months).
