Lee Licata This is a review specifically about Dr Mark Hoffman. I have never dealt with such a horrible doctor in all my 75 years of life. I was sent to that practice by my primary whom I have known for many years; but he did not specify which doctor to see. I made the appointment for a hematologist and I was given Dr. Mark Hoffman. If you need a hematologist, stay away from him. He was rude and unsympathetic. I was having a very bad day with my arthritis and could not even sit in a chair. He was not phased in the least. I was there for a high platelet count. If he knew his trade, he would known that inflammation often causes high platelet count; and my body is loaded with arthritis and is always inflamed. Cutting to the chase, he took all sorts of blood and told me he would be back to me in 2 weeks. 2 MONTHS later, he called to tell me that I have some sort of a genetic anomaly. Thank God it was not life-threatening or I would already have been in the ground and not able to accept his call. Had I known it was him on the phone, I would not have even answered. He was still rude even though he was in the wrong. (FYI: I answered because the dear friend of mines name is Mark and has the last name beginning with H, a coincidence. I thought it was my friend calling me not this horrible doctor.) You are better off going to a hematologist in a dollar store than to go to this Joker!

Karyn Tripmacher The front staff at ProHealth radiology are absolutely wonderful. I have never gone there where they havent been pleasant, professional and friendly. This morning I dealt with both June and Arleen and they both were fabulous. Perhaps they would be better utilized training other staff in your other departments.

Henry N I go to ProHEALTH for multiple doctors. Im happy with the service I receive. Its great that all of my medical records are in the system, so any doctor I see has access to them. The receptionist are usually friendly. Sometimes the wait is a bit long.

AT AT I hate that i have to even write this because i think Dr. Hanna is a great doctor. However, the way the office handles appointments is outrageous. These doctors are booked months in advance. Like months. For example, i called to see if i can see Dr Hanna because i am 3 months pregnant asthmatic and have had a cough for over 7 days and feeling short of breath. I was proceeded to be told that she is booked until June 2023 i called december 2022. I then proceeded to ask if there is any other doctors willing to see me . All them are booked until next year. I proceeded too ask what about the patients who get randomly sick and need to see a doctor. What about them ? I never in my life felt unseen and unheard. Im 3 month pregnant asthmatic with a nasty cough and all in was that we are booked until next year. I had to fight call multiple times just to be seen to be heard. Its unfortunate. I remember i called in July 2022 to schedule my appointment in october 2022 for my annual physical. Which is suppose to be in october . I thought i called in a reasonable amount of time... 4 months in advances but nope she didnt have an appointment till January 2023 . Its insane. What is going on where we have to book a year in advance to see our doctors. This is outrageous

James Gillette Been going to Winthrop internal Medicine for over 10 years specifically to Dr. Bruce Horowitz. He is an awesome doctor that I would give 5 stars to as a doctor. Giving the practice a one star because I need to have followup blood work for medications that I am taking. I also have been having severe shoulder pain and am worried that I might have a tear. The earliest I would have been able to be seen is 16 days out. Not acceptable to me. I guess I will not get a follow up on my blood work and will just suffer through the pain in my shoulder and look for a new doctor. So disappointed. I hope in the meantime I dont do more damage to my shoulder nor have any side effects from the medications that I am on.

Vhe Kar Since the takeover by NYU, service and accountability have dropped severely. Office politics and faulty phone services lead to dead end answering machines where no one calls back for days on necessary refills. Hours you can see them are limited as they overstretch their doctors/resources between here and the immediate care, which doesnt take the same insurance as their other practices. For the past 7 out of 9 visits I was shuffled around to 1 off doctors because the day I had to be seen by my primary was scheduled him for a different location. Such negligence makes sure I have trouble getting proper care for chronic conditions because of the lack of continuity and necessary response. In essence, what was once a dedicated practice is non committal at best due to bad management and MVU (Medical Value Unit) based profit management. Covid is no excuse either since the new management moved in long before the outbreak, and the results have been the same regardless. Would not reccomend them for anything that requires a follow up, multiple appointments, or if their office to coordinate with other doctors/offices in a timely and professional matter.

Miss Melis This is the most confusing building and no one is nice or helpful. There are no signs to let anyone know where they have to go. When trying to get an appointment there was a month long wait. When will the medical industry and doctors know that they work for us. We do not work for them. They take advantage of their patients by being jerks.

diamond girl 5 I would give less than 1 star if I could. going to this practice for over 15 years and after my dr pinpointing every medical need and knowing me well, he has abandoned me in my time of need. the Dr does not appear to listen and abruptly ends appointments before you finish speaking. tammy bloom who is not a dr diagnoses without knowing the patient. she apoears bullying. contact with anyone is smokescreened and Dr sends me around in circles to get second and third opinions which I obtained thru referrals from winthrop endocrinology and dr wont acknowledge the second opinion. I am heaing of complaints about them from Medicare about care and service . I will be going elsewhere and I encourage all mistreated patients to leave.

Dr.Anju Nair Overall a very good experience at the clinic. They have ample free parking space in the garage. The office is very clean and neat and strictly follows the latest Covid-19 protocols.I was checked in quickly and the front desk staff are very warm and welcoming. My only concern was waiting over 30 mins to see my doctor(Dr.Skwiersky).She is new to the clinic and had just recently joined the NYU langone team.Overall happy with her professionalism and care. However the attending physician Dr.Bhansal was spot on and helped complete the examination and further treatment protocols.NYU Langone is one of the top hospitals on Long Island and in the country and they do stand up to their quality of care and treatments.Overall a very positive and safe experience at the NYU Lanngone Endocrinology & Diabetes Associates.

janice petruccelli If I could give no stars I would, when my child was diagnosed 7 years ago this place was amazing be aide it was small. Now you no longer are a person but a number, front desk is horrific, in professional and think they actually have medical experience. The wait time is beyond ridiculous, and to actually get an appt within a reasonable time is non existent. Glad I left a year ago, found a incredible endocrinologist who actually cares about her patients. Never looking back. Good luck to you all and best advice I can give is do your research before giving them your business.

Kristen Singh Henry I actually didn’t make an appointment to see Dr. Aqbal. I was seen by Dr. Pignanelli and Aqbal came in later. Pignanelli was great and all was fine until Aqbal came. She comes in, folds her arms and leans forward to begin speaking down to me like a clueless child. She was well prepared to unleash her loaded questions and implications. I began to state my symptoms and she shook her head while squinting at me and said, “What fatigue? What’s the fatigue?” Didn’t quite understand the question but I told her I have myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS) so my fatigue can be attributed to that. In response to ME/CFS, she asked “What’s that?” then asked who I see for it. I answered, “Dr. Susan Levine.” The tone in every question was as if I was being interrogated and she was trying to catch me in a lie about this silly disease I made up. She told Dr. Pignanelli to Google Susan Levine. As she read about her, she shakes her head and CHUCKLES. Her next question was “Have you looked into mental health?” “Do you see a psychiatrist?” I do not. Then she proceeds to tell me, “This could be a mood disorder.” Anyone suffering with any autoimmune disease is all too familiar with this response. Then she asks sounding more irritated than before, “Who referred you here?!” As in, why am I wasting her time? I told her my Mom sees Pignanelli. I was brought to tears afterwards. Being talked down to in this way hurts. I hope she is better to others.

R. Drew Davis Very busy place, but they diligently work to help me get my blood sugar under control. The staff is large and it is unusual to see the same person 2 appointments in a row but it works out because they have detailed medical records online so they have a good collective memory of me across the multiple practitioners. They do succeed in giving me the impression of remembering me with a friendly hello. A perk of my being a frequent "flyer" with a less than simple medical history? All that and they accept my medical insurance. Steady progress over the years and when insurance has resisted covering something that was medically necessary, they stuck with me through all the insurers red tape to get the needed approvals. Overall, Im happy with the care Ive gotten here

The Professor Says This office is by far the worst establishment I have ever been to. I would leave no stars if it were possible. The Doctors office and staff were very unprofessional, unaccomodating, and downright rude. All they care about is billing your insurance and getting home on time. Absolutely disgusting that a system like Langone would run an office with awful customer service and business practices. Avoid this office like the plague. Don’t stop running until you’ve arrived at a different gastro. If you do go, you get what you deserve. You’ve been warned.

Marisa Silvio 1st was great and thorough after that she completely ignores you or what is necessary for the insurance to approve your meds. I have spent the last 4 months yes I have proof begging the office to return my messages. I have been without my meds since March. When I finally did speak with her she still did things her way and not what the insurance wanted. I went back to my original doctor who I only left bc of distance. Closer is not better.

Kristine Santarpia Was hopeful to see a younger endocrinologist with more current weight loss options other than shakes my current, seasoned endo pushed. Unfortunately, I will not get to see what Dr. Bansal has to offer. First appointment humiliating, sending in a PA to interview me for ten minutes. Their "review" was 30 seconds in the hallway (with no discretion) after which the doctor to burst in to say all my problems are with me and my depression. The PA and I looked at each other in shock, and I high-tailed out of there as soon as I could. No bedside manner or attention at all.

Tiffany Clarke I had an exceptional experience with the maternity team at South Nassau, and I can’t recommend them enough! I was skeptical at first, but had a good experience for my prenatal care and the educational team. Being that it was so close to hope I decided to deliver here…….From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel comfortable, supported, and well-cared-for. The nurses were incredibly attentive, always checking in to ensure I was comfortable and informed throughout my entire stay. The doctors were knowledgeable and patient, taking the time to explain everything and answer all my questions. The labor and delivery team was professional yet warm, and their expertise made me feel confident and at ease. The delivery and postpartum care was equally outstanding, with staff continuously offering guidance and support as I adjusted to life with my newborn. I truly felt like I was in great hands, and the level of care I received was top-notch. Thank you to the entire maternity team at South Nassau for making this such a positive experience for me and my baby!

wheresmybaby65 When my husband was there he was given a broken bariatric bed. He couldn’t move or get out of it without help. The nurses didn’t like to have to help him and he spent days in pain. Because he was in bed so long, he ended up with a bad cough and congestion. I notified the doctor That I was worried that he was getting pneumonia cause I could hear the congestion. After much arm, twisting, she agreed to do a chest x-ray, but said it was not an emergency and schedule it for the morning that night my husband couldn’t breathe and they did the chest x-ray and he had fluid on his lungs. I eventually got them to get him a cardiac chair so this way, he didn’t have to spend all the time in bed, but guess what the chair was broken too, and had to be Propped up on two other chairs to keep his legs elevated. It was a nightmare and my husband went to a rehab to get his strength and mobility back because of the lack of care he received. The cardiology department and vascular surgery department are not very good. Got a second opinion and is now being treated at a much better hospital with much better doctors. And there was a brand new cardiac chair in his room and he was a very first patient use it.

Ms. Allen Horrible ER visit. Triage nurses were great. ER nurse dismissive and rough. Visibly annoyed with me expressing her wrongly placed IV was causing pain. Told me to "give her a minute" when I asked her to take it out. She left me waiting an additional 20 minutes. Claimed she was documenting, I watched her walk around have conversations and intentionally not respect my request. After I said I would remove it myself, she rolled her eyes, huffed and roughly removed it. The ER staff was dismissive and too wrapped up in their own conversations. I left. I now have a hurting arm, 9 hours later. I also have a knot under my skin and bruise where the IV was placed. No resolve to my issue.

Im a bit surprised by all of the negative reviews, but it has been YEARS since that was posted. Overall I am satisfied with the service every time we come.

Yayi I have two children that see doctors at 222 Station Plaza, and I am very pleased at the care they recieve. I would like to personally acknowledge Asmide, one of the receptionists. She is exceptional. Not only is she pleasant and approachable but she is also extremely helpful. As a mother of two, things can get hectic with scheduling and there seems to always be something to do and paper work to fill out. Asmide is always willing to help lessen the stress and make these processes seamless. Im grateful for her patience and kind demeanor. It really helps.

Receptionist continued to get up out of her seat and glared at me from across the room. no one should ever feel threatened for coming to the Doctors office. Im only here because my child is sick and I was referred to the Dr. There are other offices.

Christina Brown Twice this summer I tried scheduling appointments for both my boys for a physical. Twice they told me that they were all booked and to call back at the end of the month to schedule an appointment for the following month. When I called back the third time to set up that appointment, 7 days before the last day of the month they tell me they are all booked for September already. I asked when did they start making appointments. Their reply was in the middle of the month. I told them that twice they told me to call at the end of the month. The person that answered had no reply. I would have given them one star since the upkeep of the facilities seem to have deteriorated. But Im giving 3 stars instead since Dr. Robert Lee was a great pediatrician.

jahneal phillips The staff at this hospital are responsible for my grandmother’s death. She was admitted fully alert, able to move on her own, and highly responsive. However, during her stay, the staff continuously administered morphine without consulting our family. Within just two weeks, she lost her basic quality of life. Beyond this, the staff were inattentive, only showing up to clean and feed her when family members were present—and even then, their care was minimal. This level of neglect is unacceptable. I had heard warnings that elderly patients rarely survive after being admitted to Franklin Hospital, and now I understand why. This facility needs to be held accountable.

Lucky Domingo Im pretty shocked as I had an AMAZING experience. I was nervous seeing the previous bad reviews of waiting long hours or interacting with rude staff. My experience couldnt have been more different. The man at the parking lot booth called for a wheelchair and showed us where to park right away. The intake team at the front were so quick and thorough. I sat in the waiting room for a total of 2 mins before I was called back. The ER was super clean and the staff were all absolutely phenomenal. Each nurse, aid or doctor that came my way were some of the most kind, genuine and helpful medical professionals Ive come across in a while. I was so grateful when they would explain a medicine to me or explain what the next steps were. An ER is a scary place for some people so I truly appreciated how patient everyone was. The referrals and medication given to me helped right away. Since the NP took the time to listen to my symptoms carefully he prescribed me something I hadnt tried yet which helped immensely. The NYU Langone app is also a literal dream, I got all my info there within minutes of the NP telling me he got the orders in. They also had someone call me the next day to follow up and schedule an appt for a referral. Walked me through everything. I was floored. Im really sorry for anyone who had a bad experience here but I am so impressed and happy that this hospital employs kind, caring medical professionals who genuinely seem like they enjoy their work. It doesnt go unnoticed. Thank you to everyone there!! I wish I could shake each of their hands myself.

Moiz Ahmad Worst Experience Ever – Extremely Negligent and Unprofessional Care I had the worst experience ever at this hospital. My 11-month-old son was rushed by ambulance due to a severe injury, where he lost the tip of his finger and was bleeding heavily. Unfortunately, the staff and doctors here were completely indifferent to his pain and the urgency of the situation. Despite the significant blood loss, the hospital staff did not treat the injury as an emergency. I repeatedly requested immediate care for my son’s bleeding, but it was as if they didn’t care at all. They didn’t prioritize his needs, and there was a clear lack of professionalism. It seemed like the staff was more focused on socializing with each other than actually providing medical care. After about three hours of continuous bleeding, they finally applied a large bandage, but that only led to an infection on his hand and finger. My son was still in pain and bleeding, yet they sent us home, telling us that everything was fine. I was horrified by the lack of attention and urgency, especially considering the severity of his condition. My son remained in critical pain, and I felt completely helpless. This experience has been traumatizing, and I strongly urge anyone to avoid this hospital. I would never trust them with the care of my child again.

Mike S Horrible experience! 12 hours and after the RNs and PAs did their part early on, they promised me they were contacting a Neurosurgeon to consult with me and give me my best course of treatment for my back issue. This went on for almost 12 hours and without any follow up from a Neurosurgeon. I just laid on a stretcher and had I not flagged someone down to dis- charge me, I would still be laying there waiting for a Neurosurgeon. After 12 hours enough was enough. I left without being seen by the Phantom Neurosurgeon.

D Among the worst medical offices Ive had to deal with - family member was treated by a rheumatologist in this practice while in hospital and was specifically told to follow up after discharge - tried daily for two weeks to get an appointment only to not be called back or rebuffed - after I became involved, all doctors in the practice were away at a conference and wouldnt be back for yet another week. If your desire is to be abandoned as a patient, this is the office for you.

R Blair Well after waiting months for an appointment and being rescheduled twice I went to the office and was late. I called to say I was late and no one told me how long I had to get there so I wouldn’t waste my time. Got there and they turn me away. The doctor said she couldnt see me and offered me an appointment for another two months. I’ve been hospitalized 4 times in the last 2 months and I’ve just been trying to find a doctor to help figure out what’s going on with me. They don’t make patients priority at NYU. They force all of their employees to get vaccinated but they don’t have enough doctors that can see patients. So now sick people have to wait months just so the doctor can say if she or he wants to see you. Seems like they need to hire more people and work more for patients instead of a check. I am a number at NYU Langone and you will be too. And I know I was late but even if when I’m not late I don’t get the service I need. The man before was complaining that he had been waiting for almost an hour to be seen. I’m good on this place.

I guess being in pain doesn’t matter to them. I am very disappointed.

benita box I’ve been trying to get an appt for chronic urticaria on my legs for over 5 years, and no one would ever pick up the phone or call back. It was only after being diagnosed with an immune disorder (and being directly referred to them by my neurologist) that I was finally able to be seen…two months after the original referral. I find this completely RIDICULOUS. That a practice could get away with operating this way is disgusting. NYU Langone’s mission is to assist patient care, NOT obstruct it. This practice has highly skilled specialists, and it’s a shame that they’re sabotaged by a defunct or completely non-existent front end schedulers.
