Jennifer Frysz Always loved this place as a kid, so we went as I am now a seasoned adult. We went at a time when there was children trick or treating that had a lot of fun. Its a several hour or day trip to everything. If I had known about their tea time, I would have signed up as I thought it was so cute, and it smelled wonderful. Was able to get in a walk around before the tea started. So much to see. I love how people are dressed up and want to give you a good experience. Good energy there and a lot to do. I am not excited about the gift shop as I once was as some things like candy or a drink were definitely priced well above what they should be, although the homemade items there were nice to see.

Rochelle Bayne My experience was different from most because I went to an "Owl Moon" night hike. But it was great. The guided hike started on time and the guide was well versed in the subject and led well in a dark woodland trail. Luckily it had snowed so it was easy to see, but the employees also made sure there was hay spread for traction. So safety, interesting subject matter, and good facilities - parking was pretty close since tickets were limited and sold in advance. Checkout for that was easy, also. We didnt see any owls but group hikes tend to scare animals off, so I wasnt surprised. It was still a neat experience and the stars were beautiful. And surprisingly my two photos came out okay, given how dark it was.

Shawn Cunningham My sister and I had a delightful wonder around the village. The staff dressed in period costume were very nice and gracious. They were very knowledgeable and knew their stuff, no question was silly or insignificant. I highly recommend a visit and plan to come back.

Louis Brothers The Spirit Walk was so cool. Next year I want to go at a later time. Our Walk was at 5:30, so it wasnt dark until halfway through it. It would have been so much better at dark.

Karen Dawley On August 5th 2024 I had a CT Enterography. Arrived at 9 am yhe IV was placed, i drank 2 Bottles of Breeze and test started at 10 am. I had an allergic reaction to the IVP medicine OMNIPAQUE. My nose started itching, I started sneezing, my sinuses were out of control, an awful headache, and I had a rapid heart beat. It was hard to breathe. The tech would not take th IV out of my arm when my symptoms started. Smart lady! Within 2 minutes the the doctor (DR. YIRINEC) came in, and he ordered the 25 mg of Benedryl, which was right in the Nurse Dawn Stevens hand! She administered the Benadryl. It took a very short time for my symptoms to dissipate. I am very Thankful to everyone who took great care of me. Dawn Stevens, Loveleen Mangat, Judy Klein, Summer Anderson, Alyssa Carpenter, Lisa Vigelette-Site Manager, and Dr. Yirinec. I appreciate everyone and your quick thinking and reactions. Thank you all and God bless.

Dinene Dr. K. Austin on Call Parkway is a wonderful Doctor. She listens to me and is part of the conversation. She discusses things with me and not at me. She gives me time and doesnt rush me out. I always bring in my notes to discuss things with her, and shes fine about that and goes over everything I ask her. Im glad I found her as a resident, and I followed her here to UR on Call Parkway.

Sam McAllister The practice at UR Primary Care Batavia is excellent. The office staff is quick and responsive and the integration to the UR hospital system connects you to a powerful team of doctors and resources. I am personally privileged to work with Dr. Michael Mungillo. Dr. Mungillo is a highly skilled physician who combines a thorough knowledge of medicine with an incredible ability to listen and understand my health. In each of my visits I feel like he has understood my situation, offered clear and helpful medical advice, and hope filled support that helps me move forward. I highly recommend this practice to you or your family.

With in the business day most times in the matter of a few hrs. the wait times are normal in office. Or on time. She has empathy and has filled out medical paper work in a timely manner.

Katie Morgan I requested a medication refill to a new pharmacy, with the information for the new pharmacy, and the refill was sent to my old pharmacy within an hour of my request. I called the office to have it sent to the correct pharmacy. Its now been over 24 hours, multiple requests, and no information or updates just they "havent reviewed it yet" okay but why did you approve the first one immediately and send it to the wrong place even though I provided the correct location and information including the phone number and address...? Theres a shortage and this is time sensitive. Dr Walters specifically told me to call multiple times if the pharmacy doesnt receive the refill, so obviously he believes his own staff to be incompetent and apparently hes right. Im finding a new doctor and hopefully this location gets it together and hires some more competent employees to handle client needs.

Carol Harris I love the RRH medical campus. Very open waiting area. 2 people were there to check me in. I like that it’s a “one stop center”. I had ex rays, visit with orthopedic surgeon. He was awesome. When you are in the exam room, they administer meds and when done, a staff member comes in and schedules your next appointment! Only places I sat were waiting room and drs office. Everything went so smooth! I had a great experience there and have a 3:15 appt today. Looking forward to my appt.

Quentin Fitch Today I had a second visit for pain in my left shoulder. A shout out to PA-C Natalie Appleton. She is great communicator, understands the problems and issues with my shoulder. She suggested cortisone, and did it with little sting. The first treatment helped alot. I will continue with cold packs.

Jeromy Korytkowski I would rate lower if possible. There is no receptionist, makes it hard to ask for help. The employees make it obvious they are NOT there to help. You have to sign in and wait for a visit just to drop off a sample requested at a previous visit. All in all, just go to the hospital, youre wasting your time here.

Jordyn Jaworski Really such a shame how my grandfather who was a veteran was treated. Ill never forget going to see him and he would just be sitting in filth. They expected him to feed himself (which he was incapable of doing because he shook) and he starved to the point where he was hallucinating. If you love your loved ones and vets you wont subject them to this despicable, deplorable place.
1 /5
Carolyn Ferris For the most part Batavia VA is a nice place. Most of the people are pleasant and helpful. There needs to be a direct line to Batavia instead of having to listen to a voice system push this push that. You finally get someone and they transfer you to Batavia very frustrating. Im also not impressed with a Dr.D. felt she was talking down to my father and me. Nurses and others are great.

Miranda Fuller I do not go here for services but My family does Aunt. I have gone here for other things. I have to say that the facilities are very clean and the staff has always been very accommodating and kind to myself and my children. I think the building is beautiful and historic. It is definitely a staple for the community.

Sharen Custer I know what many presume in regards to the VA Service in Batavia, NY, however I can tell you from experience, my husband is a Veteran and we go to the Batavia Center. First they have always been curtious to my husband and thankful for his service. Second, they give him an appointment and he is always seen at that exact time, so there is no waiting in all departments. Third, the doctors in Batavia are so thorough more so then any Primary care physician he has ever had. Batavia VA centers are wonderful and to ever say anything negative about their service is an insult to all those whom receive service from them. They are professional, curtious, sympathetic, helpful and kind in every way.

sheryl frank Dr. Barcomb is a wonderful primary I was with him for 18 years. He was always very thorough and went up to bat for me to figure out my big underlying issue. My last phone call there was for results from test waiting for new inhaler to control my asthma...a nurse took it upon herself to return my call and left me a voice mail sharing her personal opinion how to control my asthma. That was the last snide remark I was going to listen to from her! Never did get inhaler.

summer gephart They are lazy and don’t care about their residents and care more about smoking. Take 2 hr to find a pillow. Don’t provide resident with there needed oxygen that was ordered by dr at night. Rude to family members on the phone when they’re advocating for resident. 100% don’t recommend bringing your family members here. Mind you my family member was only here for 24hr and this all happened. I’m absolutely disgusted with this place and how they treat their residents and family members. Then when the worker finally did bring pillow she told my MIL to get transferred to a different rehab place. Seriously that how your treat people? SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!

kristine gallop A wonderful experience at Premier Nursing Facilty. The staff was pleasant, friendly and informative when needing to find the room we needed to find. Their check-in process is phenomenal, utilizing a face recognition system that prints out your visitor pass with your photo on it. Checking out was simple as well, as all you do is scan your face again and your all set!

Chris Roberts My mother in law is currently there in a room. Only been there 5 days. I will say that not all DR.PA Nurse CNAs are bad. But most of the ones involved with her care are less then caring or supportive of her. Answering the call button is it a minimum of 10 mins. I pushed it and within about 5 mins a aide stop I said she telling me she needs to be changed as she told me she went to the bathroom. She leaves tells me someone would be down that was at like 1:35pm at 1:50 a nice housekeeping woman came in and I explained it to her. She left came back and told be she told the nurse. At or about 2pm 2 nurses came in and changed her and then explained well she wasnt wet at all. We just changed her when we got her out of bed this morning. I asked nurse about her pain med she left and came back told me every 4 hours and she could have it but her nurse is going to lunch and will do it when she returns. Mind you has a broken spine and pelvis so she would be in pain. No one checks in on them as one night she was yelling for help and she really cant reach the button . The woman across the hall had to push the button to get her some help and that took 15 mins. All of the staff will stand around at the nurse office having a good time as mult call buttons are beeping. There was one time. They have her head off the bed on pillows over the top of the head board. I asked to have her moved on to the head. The employee came in not really sure if she worked there AS NO EMPLOYEE WEARS A NAME BADGE OR DRESS LIKE THEY WORK THERE. I am sure this is done so you cant get a name if u wanted to complain about care. Guessing the CNA are the ones wearing sweat pants and pajamas pants. Any way this CNA by herself just stood on the side of the bed and simple reach over and pulled her down in bed. She used the pad if she has an accident. Not really caring about her head heading the top of the bed. The gentlemen that sits in the office up by dining hall was heard making the remake to my wife that I just knew you were going to be a problem. They dont like families being involved in there loved ones care and make sure she is taken care of. Or asking questions about what they r going or how they are doing it. She wont make a recovery being in this setting. Everything in the room is out date. They make her sit in a wheelchair there not even opitions for say a more comfortable sitting opitions. And the maintenance kid delivered wheel said they fix the wheel chair and put new brakes and arm rest on. I am not sure why you would even tell a family that. That just tells me your equipment is not cared for and until some complains loud that it gets action. Its very clear some are here just for there paycheck. We are a family that will question everything because its our right as family to do it. Also was told from the PA. That they use health care poxy and that power of attorney means nothing in there eyes. Well maybe you should stick to being a PA becuase you are not a lawyer. Also agrued about mother in law getting shots in knees because he doesnt like or believe in them. Clearly its his way or nothing. Doesnt think families shouldnt have input to family members care. It got very cockey because he was asked for a meeting to explain to family whats going on because no one is there when he canme in room in the morning. Mother in law at times doesnt know where she is but they tell here she then expect her to be able to tell us whats going on. They only offer one option for meals and if you dont like it so be it. They dont ask what a patient will eat or doesnt eat. And if someone needs some assistance with eating the food it will be stone cold before you get to eat unless family is there to help. This place has the feeling that if you speak up about the quality of care every employee will just avoided you and walk away so they dont have to deal with you. 11/24/24. Employees clearly monitor Google. For those employees that read this If a family member that you love was in here how would you like them treated. Then treat every patient the same way.

Dr. Andrew C. Hilburger, MD

Address: 176 Washington Ave, Batavia, NY 14020

(11) Reviews Dr. Andrew C. Hilburger, MD:

Cole Lowery If I could give negative stars, I would. My partner has nocturnal seizures, and has only had one EEG done while awake. Hilburger suggested taking him off of the medication that worked for nearly 4 months, without even considering any other tests for NOCTURNAL seizures. He said, "It couldve been a one-off thing". After I reminded him how many NOCTURNAL seizures my partner had, the time between each, and suggested more accurate testing, he looked at me as if *I* was the issue and simply repeated, "It couldve been a one off thing since the test came back inconclusive." He stopped prescribing him the medication that was controlling his seizures, without any further explanation. 4 days. Hed stopped taking the meds for only four days. One test. While he was awake. When he only has his seizures while asleep. Didnt even explain how my love should properly wean off. I learned from a family member after the relapse that he shouldve done that. I blame myself too; I shouldve thought to ask. The EMT and the doctor that handled him after this last seizure both said that it didnt make any sense for him to stop a medication that was controlling his seizures. The doctor looked *angry* about it. I wonder if explaining what Ive personally been through would have changed anything. I wonder if reminding him that my partners biological father passed from the same condition, would have changed anything. I wonder if repeating a history that suggests more undocumented and unwitnessed seizures, would have changed anything. We shouldve gotten a second opinion, at the very least. I am blaming myself for this all. My love was simply excited to work again; now he needs an extended leave once again, and is depressed. Im not sure if it was a race thing or not. If youre Black, or have nocturnal seizures, I beg you, please make the trips to Strong instead. Get a second opinion if he wont explain his decisions, please. He could have had my love killed, without any explanation for his decisions. I dont want anyone else to go through watching over their partner all night just to witness another seizure for the first time in nearly 4 months. My love is too good a man, and has too little faith in the world to pursue a lawsuit. I dont want to be angry with Hilburger. I pray that the Lord lifts these feelings from my spirit, despite the fact that I cannot close my eyes without seeing the agony he was in. I keep telling myself that my love is back on the meds, hes okay, hes strong. I just want to make sure anybody with a similar background [Black/nocturnal seizures] isnt killed. Good luck and God bless.

Courtney Gambino The receptionist is a joke. They didnt do their job and tried blaming it on the patient when scheduling an appointment for MVA no fault. After they talked to the referring surgeon and patient MULTIPLE times verifying information and insurance. Wasted my time and tried arguing with me after it was their mistake. They never once tried to fix the issue and tried telling me that my surgery would have to be pushed out um Im sorry are you in pain no so that is none of your business nor is it very professional on your part. Brianna Cole I am a patient of Doctor Chibuikem Akamnonu’s at Finger Lakes Bone and Joint located in Geneva NY. I needed an emergency appointment, and this was the only place that was available. So this was my first time at this location, and I thought it was convenient out in Genesee County. There were so many different doctor offices located in this building, and besides the convenience of them all, it was confusing how and where I had to check in. Things seemed a little chaotic, but I assumed it was because it had recently opened, and eventually things would figure themselves out. Besides this new location, I still rate Dr Chibu ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and would follow him anywhere, and have. He’s performed my last 3 spinal surgeries, and my future ones too!!

Samual L. Incompetent. They had the opportunity to move forward with a “service” which would have lead to surgery but they had to put a little bit of effort into the process, which they did not want to do (being vague for a reason). Time to find a more competent company.

Patrick ODonnell I recent had a medial emergency in where I was taken by ambulance to United Memorial in Batavia. From the moment I was brought to the ER to the moment I was discharged 5 days later, everyone from the nurses, doctors, surgeons, and even the cleaning staff and employees that delivered food, I was treated with respect and care. Everyone was there for my recovery and to ensure I was comfortable and understood everything that was going on. This is my first experience with any real medical emergency, and to say that I was scared was an understatement. Being away from family and my children was rough, let alone worrying about the outcome of my health. Everyone made me feel supported and like it would be okay. Even the night nurses who came to check on me and swap medications were always so wonderful, answering my questions and helping me get through my ordeal. I would recommend this hospital to anyone in my life, and appreciate all theyve done for me on my road to recovery.

Brittany I Called to check on the referral my doctor sent out for Dr. Rocha. Was told they didnt receive a referral. They seemed kind and helpful until I told them I had medicaid for insurance. The receptionist gave me attitude when she told me they didnt accept medicaid. When I look on the doctors profile however, it says they accept medicaid. Who knows, I dont want to go somewhere where you are judged for being on public assistance. We are already treated less than human, do we really need the people we are asking for help judging us so harshly?

Savannah LaPierre I have never had such a pleasant experience with ANY doctors or hospitals! Would give 10 stars if I could. I avoid being seen until I cant anymore, and was shaking as I walked in the door. Had I known how fantastic the emergency department staff were here I would have gone weeks ago! From the time I walked in the door until I left was no more than 30 minutes. I was treated with kindness and respect by every staff member I came into contact with from reception to discharge. They did not make me feel rushed, belittled, or uncomfortable for a second. The staff all seemed to be happy and passionate about their career, which the medical field SEVERELY lacks these days. Next time my family or I need emergency medical care I will not hesitate to go back. Its uplifting to see compassion and kindness in the medical field and people who chose it for the right reasons vs to collect a paycheck. I would like to give a sincere and heart felt thank you to the emergency department staff. ❤️ Some of my faith in humanity has been restored.

Alisa M Oldacre I had high hopes when I first started going here for care. The two resident physicians, Dr. OLoughlin and Dr. ODonnell seemed so caring and understanding. However, the supportive staff is seriously lacking people skills and organizational skills. Portal messages are often ignored for days or weeks. Trying to get an urgent care appointment is beyond difficult, and the practice keeps shifting the resident physicians from location to location; so continuity in your health care is not very good. I was taken off of my blood pressure medication in June, and the doctors did not monitor my BP as they should have. On 12/21, I experienced a stroke like episode, and when I called the office scared and looking for help, the nurse blew me off. To this day, they have not addressed the blood pressure issue, and refuse to respond to my concerns regarding it. I had finally had enough of their lack of care, so today I contacted another primary care provider. Not only did they accept me as a new patient, but they saw me immediately today. The staff was professional and attentive, and they did everything they could to make sure my concerns were heard, unlike Batavia Primary Care. I do not recommend Rochester Regional or Batavia Primary Care, they just dont seem to care about their patients.

As a receptionist myself, I have never once made an appointment with the wrong Doctor ... confirmation is important. Time to hire competent people!!

amanda Krzyzanowski Dr Matthew Steele Battaglia needs to find a new profession! He is the rudest, most arrogant ER doctor ever. This is the 2nd time Ive had the same experience with him. My daughter was seen last night for severe abdominal pain. Suspected appendicitis. After a CT scan, it was determined that it was an ovarian cyst, possible torsion of the ovary. She was in extreme pain. He informed myself (female) and my daughter, that ovarian cysts dont hurt, and it must be gas. He told us the ultrasound was normal when in fact it was not. It was a complex cyst and needs to be addressed. Her pain was so severe, her body was trembling and her teeth were chattering. He also dosed her with Haldol instead of a repeat dose of morphine like he said he was going to, as he stated he usually only gives pain meds for broken bones! I advised him to let me know when he grows ovaries and let me know how a cyst feels and we left with her vomiting.

Kendall Neidert 33 minutes from the time I walked in to the time I left for a x-ray. I was given a tip to go for x-ray in the morning, when blood labs tend to be busy. I have also been here for mammogram appointments and been very pleased.

Anne Cartwright Worst place to go, on February 3rd, waited for 2 hours and 20 minutes for bloodwork, arrived at 6:25 left at 8:45. A week later back for an ultrasound with a scheduled appointment for 7 am, arrived at 6:35, so I could get registered in time, half hour later still waiting, this is unacceptable!!!!!! I will try and schedule any future testing somewhere else.

Jlabash21 They forgot me in the ED until I walked up and asked after 6 hours of waiting how it was looking for me. And they responded “no one took you back to a room yet?” Then immediately got me back. Spent the whole night in the tent with it smelling like people defected on the floor. The tents bathroom-pipes froze so if you needed to go to the bathroom you needed to walk through 10 degree weather to use the lavatory inside the ED. I’m a breastfeeding/ pumping mom and the ER let me store my expressed milk in a designated fridge with labels. However when I was moved to the observation unit they brought me a plastic container of ice and said this is how they do it on this unit and they don’t think the ER should of allowed me to use a fridge. Breast milk is suppose to be below 40 degrees, without knowing exactly I cannot guarantee my breast milk is properly stored. Not a good look, lactating moms beware !!

Rayleigh Staba I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care I received at Strong Memorial Hospital. I arrived with severe nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal cramping. After thorough evaluation, the team diagnosed me with gastroenteritis, that likely caused an esophageal tear, which resulted in air entering my chest where it should not have been. Throughout my stay, every member of the staff was absolutely wonderful, showing patience and compassion, even when dealing with challenging situations involving law enforcement. I was particularly touched to see some staff come in on their days off just to check on me, demonstrating their genuine commitment to patient care. While I noticed that some patients faced longer wait times, it was clear that many of them had visited the ER when urgent care or a primary doctor would have been more appropriate. This congestion, though unfortunate, did not detract from the hospitals overall efficiency and care quality. Overall, my experience was one of the best Ive had at any hospital. Thank you to everyone who played a role in my recovery!

Elizabeth Robinson I sat here for a long time deciding if I wanted to write a review but after recent events decided so. I went into the Strong emergency room on the night of March 24th 2025 at around 11:49pm due to a fall where I injured both ankles. After checking in I waited roughly an hour for an X-ray where they made me walk to a wheel chair because the gentle man would not bring it to me. Once done with the X-ray the gentleman then wheeled me back to the waiting room where he then made me walk back to my chair. I waited around 10 hours and was not seen once. I was not given ice, medication, nor a wheel chair/ crutches to get around so I could not go up to them and ask or even go to the bathroom. Another patient grabbed a chair for me to elevate. I had multiple anxiety attacks is while there due to the stress of the pain, meanwhile the front desk people were sitting there making fun of me. At around 10:00am on the 25th of March a doctor came up to me in the waiting room and asked me if I wanted to go to a room or be told what was wrong in the waiting room. I was so exhausted from being there I opted to be told in the waiting room where he told me I had a moderate sprain. Had to wait over another hour to get any medication for pain where the nurse was rude and talked down to me and some workers were again making fun of me. I finally left around 11am where another patients family wheeled me to my car as it was extremely painful. I was told I could start baring weight on my foot and the end of that week we’ll to my surprise two weeks later the pain has only gotten worse and so I had to take time out of my work schedule to get more x-rays done and to my surprise I have a fracture on my ankle. So I have been walking on a fractured ankle for two weeks all because the Dr couldn’t take his time to actually properly look at my x-ray. Please do yourself a favor and go to a different hospital.

Lucia Jander I donated a kidney in the Transplant Program at Strong Memorial in January 2025. I am a doctor with 29 years of clinical experience-I am able to assess the quality of medical care very well. I received SUPERB CARE from everyone at Strong, from the surgeons to the residents to the midlevel providers, nurses, technicians, PT, pharmacy, social work, nursing aides etc. It was well organized, coordinated, respectful and efficient. THANK YOU, Strong. I would recommend this hospital without any hesitation.

They were well educated about gestational carriership and non-traditional families. Im glad we chose to come here.

CHARLENE BOAS On 1/30/25 at 6:30 pm, i went to urgent care for a laceration that had not stopped bleeding after 2 hrs. After signing in, I was seen by an RN nurse and then an NP. Both were very professional, friendly, and put me at ease. The NP was able to stop the bleeding, wound was wrapped and follow up instructions given. I realize the wait time is dependent on patient volume but I would not hesitate to recommend this urgent care or return myself if needed. Im glad there is an alternative to the emergency room.

Megan Dawson Had a 3.5 hour wait for my 4 year old son. The nurse ask my son if someone at home hurts him. While waiting to see the doctor my son needed tissues, they had none in the room. I stepped out and someone said "your next we will be right with you," assuming I was going to complain about the wait. Then I was judged by the PA for bringing him in the first day he was sick, and I "shouldnt push antibiotics. This is what I do for my children..., it has to run its course." But then the PA was also usept that we didnt want to have him tested. I felt judged as a young parent no matter what I decided. Staff was very cold and unfriendly. I will never go back there.

Leah I want to tell this story to caution people of Rochester Regional Health’s misleading and predatory practices. On May 7, 2024 I visited the RRH urgent care at the Batavia medical campus because I had something in my eye and was unable to get it out. I had never dealt with RRH before but they were the only urgent care open and I didn’t want to go to the ER. I was there for maybe 30 minutes start to finish. The PA put a couple drops in my eye to numb it and then looked under the lid and quickly found the offending object and removed it with a cotton swab. He put more drops in and did a quick check to verify no damage to my cornea. I was relieved and was on my way. Fast forward to receiving the bill. I was billed $400 for the clinic visit, which I expected. What I didn’t expect was the fact that I was billed another $538 for an emergency room procedure. I assumed this must be a mistake because how could they possibly bill almost $1000 for a 30 minute urgent care visit. After several phone calls and one person having the audacity to tell me “I shouldn’t treat urgent care like your primary care doctor”, I was finally told this is their standard billing practice. That’s right, their standard practice is to charge for the urgent care visit and then any procedure, diagnostic test, or lab service done at that urgent care will be billed at the same rate as the ER. I even asked the woman in billing to confirm if I went to their urgent care and had an x-ray if I would be billed the same rates for the x-ray as I would be in the ER and she confirmed this was their standard billing practice. If you notice their website specifically says “urgent care fees and copays are typically lower than those charged by emergency rooms”. This is an absolute LIE. RRH’s practices are predatory and people should be warned. I urge you if you need to visit an urgent care do not go to one operated by RRH as you will be billed the same as you would if you visited the ER.

Brooks Cressman I had surgery on my foot at the hospital (on Portland Ave) on 1/16 on an outpatient basis. I found the staff to be wonderful, caring, thorough, communicative, and friendly. Someone had entered my name backwards in the system and the nurses quickly had it fixed and new labels made up. I felt very well taken care of and comfortable - which is so important because surgery can be quite anxiety provoking. My surgeon spent time with me before and after the operation, and the anesthesiologist went over everything with me before the procedure. The work to be done was clearly marked on my leg. Several nurses were involved in care and all were friendly, calming, efficient, and thorough. Afterwards, I was in the recovery ward. They brought all my belongings and had them right next to me, brought my choice of something to drink (water), and went over the discharge instructions. They waited to release me until all the discharge procedures were completed, and they were comfortable with my full recovery from anesthesia. Access to and from the hospital was easy. I am very satisfied and recommend the hospital to anyone.

Avonnye Henderson I wouldn’t even bring a dying ANIMAL here. I called to check on the status of my little cousin who was choking in his sleep and was taken here. The operator on staff was so rude and unhelpful. When I asked her to find the patient she was incredibly rude and mean to be about not knowing what room they were in. I get that some people handle stress differently than others but taking that out on families of patients in incredibly unprofessional!

After fighting over my insurance literally the entire day, and sitting for 8 hours, with nothing having happened but for blood testing, never saw a doctor, never was treated, was entirely ignored so we abandoned hope and we left. Kelly Johnson I took my husband to the ER on Monday December 30th and we felt the person who showed the most care and compassion through the entire 10 hours we were there was the security officer at the front door. He was having a severe episode with his sciatica and had never been in so much pain. His leg was starting to get numb, but we were just a number along with so many other people there that day. We understand they felt overwhelmed, but they also were treating the patients in a very rude manner. After 10 hours, nothing was done, no tests were ordered and we were just sent home after he was in even more pain than before. We had to do a video visit the next day because he couldn’t get out of bed and then an ambulance the day after that, of course we went to a different hospital even though it was out of our network. He’s finally starting to recover after being taken seriously by other providers.

Morinky Ogunse Within the past 2 years I have been at my mothers bedside in every hospital stay and there have been times where You can hear nurses technicians and aides talking loud laughing and And being very disregarding Even ignoring a patient if yelling or calling out for help for them because they may be incompetent mentally due to The patient being overdosed with medication just to keep them sleeping All day. Leaving them to their own Device and out of their mental state. The care and compassion has left the building and we are on a time clock by the minute with casualties by the second 2nd for simple human era and neglect . If you are not watching over your loved ones, it is more than likely that they will not come home The same or not at all? Beware! My mother has been overdosed. Shes been given the wrong medication. She continues to get the same exams over and over again even though she comes in for minor or unfounded medical issues. I found her hanging off the bed literally almost on the floor to being in a chair and left there all day without any care or eyes to watch over her. I have written several complaints going through their system even when almost losing my mother to again human era. Not because she was sick. Not because she was diagnosed with anything that caused her element but because someone by hand or by not giving the proper care or attention not following up or following through. With the simple matter and each time each complain, it was unfounded by the medical association at RGH. So even though you may have no choice because you live in a community where this hospital or others like it is in your within your vicinity and you have no others other facility to compare to to take your loved one. The only thing I can do is tell you do not leave their bedside speak up for them. Know their history know the background. Know their doctors understand what the insurance offers. No their behaviors. Keep an eye on changes. You dont have to scream or yell or be out of control, but let them know that you are present and that you have family, friends, or loved ones that are willing to speak up on their behalf. And that you will go to the rooftop to let people know what is really going on inside of this broken medical system that we live in in the good ole USA. And most importantly, Let it be known to the doctors, the nurses, the techs charge nurses, nurse managers, the social workers, the caseworkers etc etc i That Your family friend or loved one is a human being who needs care, compassion and understanding and most of all safety from competent, trained, professional, compassionate service workers to someone who is human. Please keep an eye on loved one because if you Dont they wont!!!

J Mack3478 Came here for a simple tb test. Upon entering the staff was friendly, inviting and informative. I was directed back to the occupational medicine area, where the test is preformed. The receptionist at the desk was extremely rude. I waited at the window while she was on the phone. It seemed as though she became irritated that I was standing there. Instead of taking a brief moment to ask why I was there, she shut the glass in my face. Now she was on the phone, possibly with a patient, so I can understand she maybe didn’t want me to hear the conversation due to patient confidentiality. Although I could still hear with the glass shut. Once she was off the phone it was still a moment before she acknowledged I was there. Possibly wrapping things up on the computer from the phone call, giving her the benefit of the doubt. When she did speak with me her tone was very rude. It’s not alway what you say but how you say it. I gave 2 stars because she was the only person who made my experience unpleasant but never the less it was it was unpleasant

Audrey Pask Waited for 2 and a half hours to be seen, was told that the place was "really busy" but there were only 6 people ahead of me. It should not take that long to see 6 people. The wait was inappropriately long and unnecessary. Dont think I will use this place again. It would take less time to drive to the city and be seen, even when including an hour drive each way!!! Having worked in the health care field for over 21 years I am so sad to see people who live in a rural area have such lack of good medical care. Hope this problem can be remidied in the future.

Tabatha Lynn This is probably one of the worst Emergency Departments to have your relatives brought too! This has happened to many times to not say anything again. I called multiple times today just to be put on hold and then hung up on, then finally at 9:43am a nurse or receptionist awnsers and I ask not to be put on hold so I didnt get hung up on and I just needed to make sure he was okay and all I heard was the other nurse talking badly and if I wanted to know I should just come visit but I could dont you think I wouldve however finally she gets on phone and I told her I could hear all of what she said and I did get a update after explaining he was just released from strong not that long ago for pulmonary embolism and a heart attack. Like seriously this is what pays you, to help people not talk shit not be rude. Suzann Evans My loved one has been in Geneva general for 4 days now. When he was in the ER, I was told he would need a blood transfusion and was being admitted, 12 hours later I was told that was incorrect information because no blood transfusion was given. I was then told that he was being given Antibiotics intravenously because he has a bad UTI. The next day I was told by an ER Dr that he doesn’t have a UTI and they aren’t sure why they gave him antibiotics because his urine bacteria aren’t even high enough to send for a culture so that was another incorrect diagnoses. Meanwhile my loved one continuously expressed to medical staff that he was having trouble breathing, his cry’s for help fell upon deaf ears as they continuously said if he doesn’t quit complaining they’re discharging him after he had been admitted and been in the hallways of the ER for almost 48hrs. Medical staff had no medical history or medication list for my loved one as they were “too busy” to allow me to have contact with a Dr for the first 48 hours he was there leading to him missing multiple doses of crucial heart blood pressure and breathing medications he needs to survive. The secretary Sara who works in the Emergency department was extremely rude to me, cussed at me and hung up on me multiple times, when I was calling concerned about my loved one trying to get in touch with a nurse to advise them of his medications and medical history. Then after they transferred me to her again she refused to even answer and transferred me to registration and I told the man in registration everything and he advised me that if the dr wants to discharge him it doesn’t matter if he dies when he walks out the door because he is too weak to even walk, that they’re is no way they can hold someone who is not safe or in terrible health. Then when a dr finally called me they advised me that they have no idea what his medical history is or what medications he is supposed to take to be on because he can’t breathe properly to tell them. She then argued with me that his safety isn’t their problem and then put me on hold and came back saying “I just spoke with a hospital it’s who has been doing this a lot longer than I have and she told me that we can seem him not safe to go home so he can’t breathe properly remain admitted and get the help he needs” that was a relief. 12 hours after that they finally had him in a room on 3 north. The dr I talked to on Valentine’s Day told me he may have mesothelioma and is still anemic. His hemoglobin decreased yet they told me it had increased which was incorrect. They still have yet to do anything to help correct his anemia and his breathing despite the fact that he has CoPD and Emphysema and is struggling to breathe. This evening I had tried to call the nurses station on 3 North 6 different times and every time it rang repeatedly with no answer until it disconnected itself. I’m just trying to check on my loved one, I need to know he is safe and okay. This is unacceptable for a hospital. I was also transferred to performance review and left a lengthy voicemail with contact information for me 4 days ago and haven’t heard anything back from them. It’s clear whoever is responsible for running this care facility is negligent and not responding to numerous complaints about the irresponsibility being demonstrated by a large amount of the staff here. It’s sad to see this is how veterans are treated after fighting for our country. Shame on you Geneva General, whoever owns this establishment should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this type of treatment to continue for so long.

Jill O The ED TOTALLY depends on who is on. Rarely is the "good" group on that have the perfect blend of care and speed. Expect to wait. If youre bleeding or dying go by ambulance because they dont care if youre in the ED. "The best I can do is notify the nurse he passed out." Are you for real?!?!

My levels on several blood tests were off, they didn’t say anything about it. The paper we got said that it was recommended that I get an ultra sound which they refused to do. I was told “it’s just a stomach virus” and got sent home. When the pain only got worse I decided to go to Strong West where they without hesitation did a bedside ultrasound and found gallstones and sent me to Strong in Rochester for surgery.

Monique Leann Carter Had a baby at this hospital. Nurses and hospital staff were extremely rude, borderline verbally abusive. As a new mother, they were judgy and talked down to me. One nurse goes “ stop eating, life isn’t about you anymore”. My daughter had just fell asleep, this disgusting nurse barged in and assumed I was neglecting my daughter because of the fact that I needed to shovel food in my mouth b4 she woke back up and being in labor all night. And, breastfeeding. I was hungry!!! And, during the birth, my sister is by my side. Holding my hand. As my baby was crowning, my sister gets happily emotional and says “meekie, (my nickname) she’s coming!!” The presiding nurse rudely goes “you need to calm down already, she (me) obviously knows”. As if they couldn’t get more inappropriate and unprofessional, 5 hours after having my baby they preceded to tell me to…..take a shower??? Like I had no business bringing life into this world. It left me feeling like total scum. I have kept this to myself for several years. The reason why I am just now sharing this is because I am in the process of obtaining my daughter’s birth certificate and needed to get the address in which she was born. Whoever the hospital staff were who treated me like human garbage during a time that should’ve been the happiest days of my life, if there was a Time Machine and I can go back, I would have NEVER allowed you to treat me like that!! Becca Id like to share an excerpt from my personal journal with you: "I am having severe chest pain but I will not go to the ER because I think the staff will be annoyed to check on me. I feel like a burden to them. Id rather stay home. Unwelcoming." The staff refused for years to believe I had a twin and kept mixing us up. We had to show up together in person to prove it. They had called the police on me. Another time the doc told me it was ok for him to inflict pain on my family member because "He had been through it and survived without pain meds." He made my family member cry, the nurse cried. She was so mad at me for simply asking for numbing cream for them. She refused my apology when I didnt even do anything wrong. She refused to even talk to me after that like the adults that we are. Ive asked for multiple meetings with staff after multitude of issues. Deaths. I waited 2 hrs for an appointment in which the doc gave me 5 mins, did nothing, and prescribed a med Im allergic to and is on my allergy list. She said thats okay because the pharmacy will fix it and prescribe a better med. Excuse me for being old fashioned, but I want my doctor to know what med Im on before I take it. Not to mention the Richard Gere jokes were unprofessional, as well as the HIPAA violations Ive overheard in the waiting rooms by staff with no respect for the literal law. As my grandmother said back in the day, "IDC if Im dying, take me elsewhere." The fact that they let a person with anaphylaxis wait in the ER waiting room terrifies me. Another woman in a wheelchair was screaming in pain and it was a slow day, they let her sit there and didnt even check on her. Her mother was besides herself. I dont think they actually care...never have according to grandma. I had a family member die in the waiting room while waiting for heart care. Rochester Regional never changed my other family members wound wraps. We had to date and sign them. He died btw, as complications to medical practice. They drugged my fiance with epilepsy and then sent him out the door falling down. They let his IV fall out and let him bleed all over the floor for an hour as we called frantically screaming for help while we watched him on video call bleeding. We talked to the nurse who said, "Im in his room now, hes fine." SHE WAS NOT IN HIS ROOM. Another man was screaming for help. None of the call buttons worked. Nobody ever came, they let him scream. All he wanted was assistance in moving around to the restroom. My fiance sat for another 2 days in there, had an oxygen of 60 without oxygen, low 80s with it, and they released him upon which we had to drive him hours to a better hospital hoping he didnt die. I have thought about literally moving cities just because of this hospital. And Im in no place to. So, maybe if I share this theyll begin to realize we are people? I miss the old days when they were even just simply caring. I keep hearing "Well, theyre understaffed." Well, so make the jobs more accessible? IDK. Do something. Ill come over and brain storm with you! Hospitals treat the staff better and it will trickle down to patients. Youre the problem! The EMT staff are usually exceptional and are much appreciated. Because they care. And not fake caring. Ive had better hospital care in third world country. Im not kidding. And better access to specialized doctors. Better testing too. I was in Asia once and actually got a lung test performed for my asthma. But Ive never had a doctor in the USA test my pulmonary function. I cant even get them to send my spirometer to me for 15 yrs now. And Ive asked 100s of times. The spirometer would help me manage my care so I dont have to annoy the ER for help. Simple things to make their load easier. I had thought about 3D printing a device, insane! Not safe. Complaints, they fake responded with errored info to try to satiate me. There is so much more, I cant even begin to tell you. I know you guys know. Im fed up. Whoever is in charge, get off your butt and shake it up! Good surgical staff tho.

I just came here with a possible concussion, I’m so nauseous and puking uncontrollably, while in the god all mighty BRIGHT waiting room I kindly asked for a blanket because the lights were causing me pain! And there are hardly any bed available, How? I’ve been here almost 4 hours and people who came in after me have gotten seen and left! When I FINALLY got to go back I was sat in a hallway! (Not the first time either) and while I am nauseous the staff is devouring pizza and wings (and you’re not gonna tell me all of them are on their break at the same time) but it’s making me throw up even more and they could care less. I agree with every other bad review on here. Staff is horrible. Doctors do not care. They don’t even know what they’re doing. Please take the extra 15 minutes to go to brockport!! Brockport is so much better!! And faster! The doctors care!! And do everything they can for you!! They have actual conversations with you! They care about how you feel!

Kody Wenzel honestly, love my counselor. but trying to get my meds has been a nightmare. Im actually more stressed and more suicidal then I was before coming here. my script was due 3 days ago and since my doctor left I had to weight till monday.. mad but whatever. did my appointment she said it would be sent in and now its 4pm and I find out it cant be filled till tomorrow. didnt tell me earlier. every nurse I have talked to has been nothing but mean and cruel. now my family Dr wont take my scripts back. so Im feeling extremely helpless. like I give up. now fourth day and now Im in the hospital. really go anywhere else but here.. and avoid a nurse named Trisha.

Joie Matyas My counselor is amazing.....but everything else about this place is terrible....the doctors dont stick around and the system is very disorganized. Would NOT recommend..... if you have other options take one of them.

Andrea Austin My therapist has been great and helps tremendously. The issue Im having is getting my meds. Taking meds for the first time in 17 years. It took almost a month to get a prior authorization form filled out my insurance requested. After contacting my pharmacy several times to see whats going on I decided to contact them myself. They told me the pharmacy never contacted them and after explaining they sent over a request form twice they changed their answer to it was sent to their "other" folder. When the form was finally filled out they didnt notify my pharmacy the form was done and my prescription expired by the time. My pharmacy sent over a new script request to Genesee mental health and they sent over a higher dosage than before. I did not have a discussion about changing the dosage. Now waiting to see how long it will take them to send over the RIGHT dosage to my pharmacy.

Jessica Reynolds Frist 2 appointments after an intake we are still treatment planning. At my 3rd appointment I needed so start talk theapy. I enede up walking out after 15mins. They question everything. why Im takeing the meds I take. I have been dealing with mental health issues for 10+ years. Im not a child Im a 30yr female. What a joke and waste of time. 1.5yr years later I went to 2 or 3 other places in the meantime went to my appointments as scheduled here and would not let me see a provider for an crisis appointment. I was begging for thier help. If I could give them zero stars I would.

Jake Houseknecht Given that Genesee County Mental Health is mainly focused on triage for individuals with acute mental problems such as suicidal ideation. They have some amazing therapists there that are willing to go above and beyond their job description to help you as much as possible.
