DIVORCE YOURSELF Misdiagnosed my eyes during opthalmology appointment resulting in additional, unnecessary vIsits. They billed me for multiple, totally unnecessary exams even after I told them I was just fine. Doctor admitted she was wrong in her diagnosis and stated she was glad I was correct in my own medical assessment!!!! Who is the doctor here???? Nevertheless they billed me for multiple visits which I refused to pay! Total rip-off, unprofessional and a waste of time. Consider other alternatives!!!!

Echo Autumn PA Larry Martinson. When I sat down, he looked at my medical records and went, "UGHHH, you have DEPRESSION?" This caused him to go into an hour long rant about a patient of his who was bullied at work and took his own life, and then telling me it was his fault, and I would end up like him if I didnt re-enter society. Ive been losing weight naturally, but he said I should go vegan to lose all my weight and that it would "fix" my depression as a bonus. I specifically requested him due to him being kind to my partner, but after this appointment he was rude and abusive towards both of us. I also have terrible memory and they refuse to call to remind me of upcoming appointments, and when I called them out on such, they tried to schedule me for Sunday, on which they are not open. Worst. Clinic. Ever. I have no transportation and only Medicaid, so Im gridlocked into coming here. They do not deserve to be in practice.

Missy Lavery Everyone from the receptionists to the bloodwork lab technicians to the nurses and PCPs and doctors are so polite and nice and professional at the Herkimer Bassett office. If I have any questions, whether it’s a phone call or through MyBassett, I usually get a quick response back either the same day or early the next day. I actually enjoy going to this doctor’s office. I asked my PCP for a referral to a new GI recently and was able to get an appointment within a month’s time of requesting the referral. The lab technicians in particular are wonderful and have made the process of getting bloodwork done easy, quick, and pain free. I’ve gotten bloodwork done at Bassett Herkimer 3 times so far this year and at my last visit I had low blood sugar at the time of my appointment (I ran out of time to eat before appointment). Val gave me juice and crackers and kept me talking / I looked at one of the “window” decals while she did my bloodwork. She and the other lab technicians checked on me every couple of minutes to make sure I was ok after drawing blood. Rane has also done my bloodwork the last couple of visits and is also very attentive to patients; she also did an excellent job answering any lab questions I had.

Tina Tyrrell Dont go! It has taken years for my child to get treatment for womans health. They pass from one provider to another with no treatment, consideration or empathy. If youre not a quick fix you are out of luck for any relief. The only thing they are teaching is how to bill insurance and collect co-pays.

Let me count the ways: 1) An orthopedist PA told me that I "just need to have faith that it will get better." 2) A nurse told me "masks dont work." 3) Urgent Care wouldnt see me for excessive bleeding because they "dont have access to an ultrasound machine." 4) I asked two different PAs to refer me to a psychologist and they both said "I dont know anyone." 5) I asked three different PAs to refer me for PRP injections and they all said "I dont know anyone." 6) Other specialist referrals have taken up to six weeks to complete. 7) Portal messages are intercepted by nurses and never make it to your PCP. 8) Phone messages never make it to your PCP. 9) My prescriptions have been bungled more times than I can count. 10) My visit summaries are a hot mess and do not accurately reflect what took place during appointments. But worst of all: PA Larry Martinson told me that my chronic illnesses and pain were all in my head, that there was "no such thing as a genetic test" for the illness that I was genetically tested for (and diagnosed with), and that I just needed to take an antidepressant and do volunteer work to "get out of my head" and feel better. All without ever examining me or reviewing my medical records. He did not know where a particular nerve in the hip was and literally had to leave the room to retrieve an anatomy book. When I filed a complaint about him with Patient Services, he retaliated by refusing to refill one of my prescriptions. Theres more, but I dont have the energy to write it and you dont have the energy to read it. If you have complex health issues and you enjoy dealing with uneducated religious dolts, and being gaslit about your very own bodily experience when youre in pain, youll love this place. Otherwise save your energy for a drive to Albany or Rochester because this facility is a nightmare and Patient Services wont do anything to help you. I agree with the person who said that Bassett needs to be shut down.

Michele. Ty Johnson I go in there because I might have pneumonia. I have a heating pad because I have bad back issues and they on purpose put me in a seat without me being able to plug in my heating pad. I can’t stay there and find out if I got pneumonia because they’re treating me like I’m a number and none of human being.

K R Seriously outdated facility. Staff is off putting and demeaning...not professional at all. Would not recommend this place to anyone for any reason. If this place was the only option I would just skip medical treatment. I regret ever coming here. Its no wonder they just laid off a few hundred people. They will be closed soon by the looks of things...and good riddance.

Christine Hoehn I was having problems breathing, pain in my back (lung area), I have had asthma diagnosed 5yrs ago, went in the middle of the day, not busy. I was there for approx. 5hrs., I was in a room by myself, blood pressure cuff, and thing on my finger (I had x-rays and blood taken) I had to leave in just as much pain as when I had got there. I got dressed, took off medical equipment, machine was beeping, no one came in, I opened door sat on the end of bed (still machine beeping loud enough for others to hear) no one came, finally I went to the desk and asked for someone to remove the needle from my arm. I was told they were waiting on a thyroid panel to come back, I said my doctor handles that I was not there for that. I left. I get a call the next day from a PA stating results from my Thyroid panel (which was not bad or the problem) I was told she did not know why?? Either because it doesn’t sound like that was the problem. SO THANK YOU LITTLE FALLS HOSPITAL for making me learn another valuable lesson. NEVER let anyone take your blood for test unless you know specifically for what they are testing.

Christy Wilt 2 …yes 2 doctors to 60 beds in the ER. Absolutely ridiculous. As a former EMT an and a current volunteer ambulance driver I will discourage bringing any patients here. Why open if you are not prepared? Why put people through this? I would highly NOT recommended coming here. Go to Little Falls or even Upstate, but NOT WYNN!!!

Haley Streeter The way the patients are treated is utterly disrespectful. Its amazing how this place is still open. I have a heart monitor on. I went in for chest pains and I couldnt breathe and they put me in a bed and do not even hook me up to their monitors because they thought that my heart monitor would send them the signals Thats not how this works. I am displeased. I am furious. Life is not a joke and especially when they are making remarks behind my back that I can hear So I went to another hospital a few days later which they found something wrong You guys should be ashamed of yourself but thats not the issue here

I mean DO NOT send you’re loved ones here as they have neglected my grandfather for over 20 years… called state multiple times but they get told when state is coming in so they can get everything tidy and out on a show for state, my grandfather has had soiled diapers next to his bed my grandfather has had dental neglect to where his teeth are all rotted and black, he has had old feces under his finger nails between his fingers and on his hands as staff said they didn’t notice it!!! Drenched in his own urine multiple occasions. My grandfather sits in silence in his room in a bed all day they won’t even turn his tv on for him pretty sad as he is half paralyzed and cannot manage to do things for himself. AGAIN PLEASE DO NOT SEND TOUR LOVED ONES HERE AS THEH WILL NEGLECT THEM! If I could rate this place 0 stars I WOULD shame I even have to rate it one star.

Jess Jones Absolutely horrible CNAS THAT DO NOTHING AND WATCH THESE POOR PEOPLE SUFFER!!!!!! LEAVING THEM IN THERE OWN WASTE FOR HOURS SO YOU CAN PLAY ON YOUR PHONE IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG!!!!! Edward Stefaniak This place is tremendous, especially the food. I couldnt have asked for a better place for my mother-in-law to stay when she was nursing her injury. All she talked about was how great Fridays and the fish were all the time, the dietary staff was always so attentive to the needs of her whenever she needed something. A+++ from Dietary for sure, nursing was ok

Cylyna Therese Do not and I repeat do not send your loved one here!! They neglect their patients as my father has been neglected numerous of times by being left in feces then not even cleaned properly when they do decide to go In and clean him after hours of being in a soiled diaper.. Christmas Eve they came in and changed him, they also put him his jammies. They never changed the padding under him that was still soiled in feces, my fathers right hand had feces in between his fingers and all under his overgrown nails that look like they havent been clipped in months .. This is not the first time Ive walked into this! Ive called the state in the past due to these same issues and nothing was done!!! Called the state again today and will be moving my father where he will get the proper care!! These people should be ashamed of themselves because this is neglect!!
