Bonnie Weaver I very rarely leave online reviews but our experience at Hospitality Health ER was so outstanding that I felt compelled to share. Everybody that my husband and I came into contact with, from the helpful front office staff, to the compassionate nurses, to the thorough doctors (Dr. Downs in our case), was absolutely amazing and I emphatically recommend this location. The facility itself is welcoming, clean, and state-of-the-art. My husband left there feeling well-cared for and informed and, while we hope ER visits arent frequent, this will be our go-to place on the island for lifes little emergencies.

David Barr My daughter was having shortness of breath while we were on vacation in Galveston. I took her to HHER immediately and from start to finish the ENTIRE staff was so professional and attentive to her needs! She was treated with dignity and kindness the entire time! Truly grateful for the care she received! Hope we never have to come back, but if we did, this is the place!

Delisha Robinson Every time is have an emergency I come here. The last two times I have had Jenna as my nurse and she is by far the most caring and helpful nurse. Jenna, takes care of you as if you are a part of her family! Hospitality is by far the best emergency room in the county

Michael DeLuca We had to go there around 8pm on a Saturday for my grandson who busted open a recent cut on his chin that had been sutures. Amazing staff, quick professional service and treated us like we were their only patients. The facility is amazing as well. I hope we never need them again, but if I do, we will go back with no hesitation

Cheyenne Beck My son was seen the orthopedic doctor here he didn’t give me and my husband time told me nothing was wrong with my son and that he wasn’t limbing. Fast forward 2 months he’s in a different hospital for being sick and they fine that he has 7 fractures in his back some old some newer and a bone disease/ disorder. This doctor definitely did not do his job properly. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this place

John Daniel An amazing hospital. My little brother was burned in the early 90s and we would take him here every few months. They gave him his dignity and smile back, and my late mother her peace of mind. God bless them! If your child has burns, this is the place to take them!

Raymond Zhao The ads. Stop trying so hard to gain people’s sympathy with those little cheerful or sob stuff. Keep the whatever we get for donating, why not keep the production money to actually help the kids.

(11) Reviews Orthopedic Clinic Of Galveston County:

afgrab55 I have been a patient of Dr. Terry Siller for a little over 5 years. I first learned of him from a friend at work and he came highly recommended. So he was the one I chose to care for pain I was having in my right knee and he was the Doctor who eventually performed knee replacement surgery on the same. I have always been impressed with his knowledge of his profession and Quality of Care. There were other doctors here at one time, but are no longer with this clinic. Its been over five years since my knee replacement and I have experienced a normal life with it since the replacement surgery pain free! I have heard of other peoples bad experiences with other Doctors, Not Dr. Siller. He had also addressed shoulder pain for me with an injection of cortisone that took care of the pain, and I have had no pain since!! Almost three years ago we moved about two hours away from the area NE of Beaumont, Tx. A couple of months ago I twisted my left knee so severely I heard and felt a pop that hurt like someone stuck a knife in my knee joint and turned it. I made an appointment to come to the Orthopedic Clinic for Dr. Siller to look at. They X-rayed the knee before he came to the exam room to go over the X-ray. It didnt show anything broke or out of place. He did drain a good amount of fluid buildup off and gave ave me a cortisone injection. He said if it didnt feel better after a few days to let him know. By the next weekend I could hardly walk on it without the assistance of using my Cane from the prior right knee surgery. I called back and he scheduled me for an MRI and a return office visit to go over the MRI. When I returned for the MRI follow up he revealed that the MRI showed that the medial meniscus was torn away from the bone, arthritis, and a stress fracture of the femur Bone in the medial area!! We both agreed that I was more than likely looking at another knee replacement on the left leg. I wanted to give it some time to see if anything improved giving the fracture time to heal. It had been over two months and it really hasnt improved. So I came in today to talk about the knee, the continued pain, and to go ahead and schedule having the surgery per my wifes wishes and mine to get rid of this continuous pain in my knee. My wife suggested that I try to find a Doctor closer to home in the Beaumont area. Not a chance!!! Im coming back to a Doctor that I personally know will get it right!!! If you need an Orthopedic Doctor that knows his practice and is very outgoing toward his patients, is thorough, and very competent, Dr. Terry Siller is going to be your choice.

Diane Senter Been there several times in the past 7 to 8 years. Saw Drs. Low and Moulton with same complaints -- pain in groin and hip flexor area making it difficult to walk. X-rays taken showed some arthritis. Treatment offered was physical therapy, drugs and/or go get steroid shots. NEVER was getting MRI mentioned. I finally saw another dr last year and got an MRI. Torn cartilage in hip and bad arthritis. Just got new hip from a dr who actually listened to me. MRI should have been done years ago .

T.Verea Decor I went in for lower back pain. I had an X-ray done before seeing Dr.Sillers. The staff was very nice and Dr,Sillers explained everything to me about my back and also options as far as medication and PT. My appt was for 10:45 but I got there early to fill out paperwork. I was out of my appt in no time. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs to see an Orthopedic Specialist

Linh Nguyen Dr. Lowe was awesome. Easily booked a quick appointment and had procedure done on day of consult. Highly recommended. I can see why he has won awards for his bedside manor.

Wendy Martin For an orthopedic clinic this place is not handicap friendly. The bathroom is very small and can not fit a wheelchair. There were only two handicap parking spaces which again makes no sense considering the type of clinic. A women in a wheelchair had difficulty getting through the door way as it was too narrow. I am not a patient here so i can not comment on the care but the facilities are not conducive for the type of patients they serve.

They are respectful, patient, kind and I cant express enough just wonderful the are. The nurses Will, Shannon,Becky, Kevin, Youssa, and techs Chris, Rose and others made this expirence so much easier on my husband during his stay. Ive always felt nurses arent appreciated enough or paid enough but these here at Jennie Sealy absolutely deserve recognition and raises!

N Platt not as nice or well managed as their sister hospitals in clear lake or league city. this is the center for UTMB and the staff and drs are good and friendly but a step below their satelite hospitals scheduling is a bit off (as is often the case with other hospitals

Melisa Jaris Not great experience for me and my wife. A few good/nice people, but overall failure for basic services. Arrived WITH PNEUMONIA and had to walk around to find water/ice station due to short staffing, didnt get a food menu and had to Google the cafeteria number to order food, room phone inoperable, toilet clogged for hours before someone showed up - had to walk down hall for toilet, lack of communication between doctors and nurses led to extended wait time for med order and hospital release time. UTMB is a large network, would think they would have their act together.

Floyd Watson I want to thank Heather and Sally, their the "A" team in 11C, they came in and took the best professional care Ive ever had, hands down! Heather came in fixed my pain medicine regimen immediately upon walking in my room, she did my wound care and just did an exceptional job! Sallie has been amazing, she changed my sheets and all my bedding in 2 seconds, and checked in on me constantly!

Gi-Gi Jay My mother was transported here from Pearland HCA facility. She is in the final stages of her battle with CANCER. She is under the care of the DANIELS team. The nurses have been the epitome of bed side manor. I am very grateful for that. The doctors assigned to my mother called me immediately and gave me updates and made sure to ask questions to ensure she received the best care. Some times you have to travel for QUALITY care!!! I pray our experience continues to be amazing. My mother has been through so much these last 6 months. She deserves comfort and exceptional care.

Valentina Baez Some Rose lady hung up on me and gave me plenty of attitude while I was trying to schedule my appointment.Very unprofessional. Then last time I came in the nurse didn’t even share my results from two different test. One of them was COVID and she just walked me out. Then when I wanted to leave a complaint because I found that very unprofessional as well the manager on duty said she couldn’t do anything about it. What place doesn’t tell you the results and when you complain about it says they can’t mention it to the nurse to be a better nurse ??

:: Cassidy Im in Galveston Texas. Im an older woman with no money or insurance. If you need an extraction, do yourself a favor and do it yourself. They will make you wait months while trying to get you to see other doctors for random reasons. Its all about money here. People have been pulling their own teeth for thousands of years. Dont let the government-ran clinics decide for you. I never had any issues whatsoever in Colorado. But here.....it would take a book to describe how horrible health care is on this island.

Toni Michelle Service is horrible. U get your lab/test results at a decent rate but it takes a month or more before you can actually speak with anyone about the results. Doesn’t matter if you call everyday they all say the same thing “I’ll put in a request to your doctor/pcp/provider” and nobody ever calls. Even using the app to message doesn’t work. I gave up at about week 3 and found a new pcp and clinic to go to and still never heard back from them in the mean time smh. Just terrible.

(49) Reviews UTMB Health Urgent Care, Galveston:

Helen U The doctors are careless and follow the generic script, so every single time I bring kids here - all they recommend is taking Tylenol regardless of the illness or condition. Flu? Covid? Injuries? Diarrhea? Vomiting? You will be prescribed Tylenol and sent home. Besides, the doctors whom I had pleasure speaking with are unaware of basic developmental needs in kids, like one of the doctors was insisting that my 8 months old isn’t supposed to drink water yet, so I had to refer her to Google to prove it’s allowed and necessary. Not sure what were they studying in college so many years. Probably Tylenol

Bekah Daniel I visited this urgent care 1 week ago due to being sick for over a month and a horrible cough. After explaining all my symptoms, they suggested I try cough drops and dark chocolate. After advocating for myself, they finally gave me a generic cough medicine. I left there and continued to feel worse and worse as the days passed. I went to a different urgent care, and after a listening to lungs for only a couple seconds they noticed something was wrong. I was sent for scans and it confirmed there suspicion of pneumonia. I was transferred to an ER and cared for immediately. All this is to say, they did not listen to me or care to dig in and find out what was wrong. I left without a diagnosis and just advice to “try cough drops”. I was severely upset with my care at this urgent care and their lack of client connection.

Rachel Olson I was so grateful to all the staff after today. They got me in and out in 40 min for a last minute appointment right before my cruise for a UTI. They were calling me back before I was even done with my sample and were all so kind and helpful despite being a chaotic mess this morning. NP Gwen was great and I was so sad I missed the RNs name because she was so sweet. The pharmacy had their prescription in literally minutes. And I had everything I needed in an hour.

Jameson Pettit I am writing this review in complete frustration and disappointment after my recent experiences at UTMB Health Urgent Care, Galveston If youre considering this facility for medical care, especially as an adult, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Four weeks ago, I visited this office with a persistent, unexplained cough. Despite undergoing multiple tests, which all returned negative, the treatment I received was minimal and ineffective—just some mild cough suppressants that did nothing to alleviate my symptoms. No comprehensive treatment or antibiotics were provided, leaving me to seek help elsewhere. However, my grievance doesnt end there. One week ago, I made a 3:00 PM appointment via their online system, completed all required pre-visit documentation, and even paid in advance, hoping for a swift and efficient visit. I arrived 15 minutes early, feeling extremely unwell, only to endure an agonizing wait. Approximately 45 minutes into waiting, I noticed multiple families with children, who did not have appointments, being prioritized ahead of me. This happened more than once, and although I understand that this is primarily a pediatric facility, it was disheartening to see appointment times not being honored. An hour and 10 minutes later, I was informed I was next, only to be shown to a room where I waited another 30 minutes without seeing a doctor. As my condition worsened and the effects of the medication I had taken earlier wore off, I felt more ill and agitated. Eventually, I could no longer tolerate the wait or the worsening symptoms, so I requested a refund and left. The subsequent drive to another doctor was excruciating, but the difference in care was like night and day. The new office provided the attention and treatment that were starkly absent at UTMB Health Urgent Care, Galveston. In summary: Do not visit UTMB Health Urgent Care, Galveston before 5:00 PM as an adult, even if you have an appointment. The disregard for scheduled appointment times and inadequate medical treatment are simply unacceptable. If you are seeking a reliable and responsive medical office in the area, feel free to contact me for recommendations. Disappointed and still recovering.

Colby-Nicole Fullmer After a severely frustrating day, my son stuck three pieces of corn in his ear, The urgent care staff was very quick and accommodating, as well as very understanding and supportive. By the time I left, although they could not assist me as they did not have an ENT on staff, they were very sweet in giving me plenty of referral locations as well as where I should go and what my next steps should be. I love taking my children to their pediatric staff for well child visits as well. This UTMB location has a special place in my heart for how well they have treated us.

Merari Ramirez I was sent here by my OB and the drs here failed to diagnose me with preeclampsia after I had so many symptoms (excessive swelling, protein in urine, elevated blood pressure, etc) they told me I just had high blood pressure and sent me home. 14 days later I woke up at 3am with the worst headache, wouldn’t go away with any pain meds, and a couple hours later I started losing my vision. My husband rushed home to help me and I started vomiting and losing conscious. I was rushed to the ER by ambulance and had an emergency c-section at HCA Houston Healthcare. I lost my memory for a couple days and it took a while for my blood pressure to go back to normal but HCA did a wonderful job of taking care of baby and me. They were all surprised that the drs at John Sealy didnt diagnose me with preeclampsia after all my symptoms.

Melissa S. My son was here because of pneumonia for three days. Everyone working on the 10th floor was absolutely incredible! The care and kindness shown to us exceeded my expectations. Nurses are super heroes. What a great place for students to learn. Thank you!!!

254 Nutrition I just spent several days on the 11th floor being observed for a stroke/heart attack. I can not say enough about this staff. At times its a little crazy because theres so many different doctors training and learning. At one point I had 13 people in my room for injections, learning. However, they were all great! I had many nurses, but I want to give a special shout out to my nurse Jackie! She was awesome. If things didnt get done when she was away, she made sure they were done asap when she returned. She was just a great nurse and never made me feel uncomfortable or unwanted... if that makes sense! Lastly, the food. It was great! Honestly, its some of the absolute best! I have several more appointments and a 5 day ECG stay coming up and I couldnt be more comfortable coming back. Not to mention my 16 year old daughter was seen a few months back and man, they went above and beyond for her in the ER. The doctors and nurses took such great care of her! I would definitely recommend! Plus you cant beat the room views, especially when your stick in there lol

Christen Robinson If I could give this place no stars I would. I have to say this is the worst treatment I have ever received than at any other health care facility. The Drs treated me like I was second rate and trash. Consistently would lie and tell me one then the do or say another. Absolutely horrible can, would not trust my dog with these Drs. Also I feel sorry for those who become patients of the residency because the Drs are doing them a disservice in the way that they are teaching bedside manner and patient care. Will be filing with the medical board and attorney General as well as human health and services at the gross negligence and horrendous care I received at this hospital

james Doyle I have been going there for a lot of years. I will admit that the nurses and staff are fantastic. I dont think I have ever seen a doctor there, its always been a PA. When you get use to one the next time you go back there gone. I have nothing against PAS most of them I have seen are far better than the doctors. But when you get one that seems to care about you, they vanish. Be nice to get a full time one.

Michael Crutcher If I could give it -5 stars I would. I’ve been suffering for 6 months from throat irritation, hypersensitive laryngeal nerves and constant throat clearing and coughing and gagging. I’ve called and left messages numerous times, begged and pleaded for An ENT consult and traveling veterans consult several times to be seen for my throat problems. I need a NERVE BLOCK for relief of my irritated Larynx and hypersensitive nerves and Dr. Conway and his staff NEVER EVER EVER contact me. It’s week after week after week after week of waiting to be forgotten, left out and overlooked, while I’m suffering and struggling to continue life with this miserable issue, they laugh and joke and sip coffee and enjoy thier high paid salaries and brush us veterans off to the side like we’re not a priority. It takes 3 minutes to call someone, 10 minutes to put in a consult. NOTHING. It’s just Pathetic and irritating. Worst experience ever. VA is a joke

Dennis Stehle I have gotten consistently fine care from Dr. Display, Megan Brooks, Thelma, and Carolyn. I simply cannot praise them enough. Professional care with all the attributes of the best doctors that I have ever had. They listened to me, and together we worked to improve my health. Dr Display will be missed, but I feel very comfortable with Megan, and I know that I will continue to get great care. I would also like to acknowledge the rest of the staff. They are always professional, helpful, and respectful. Thank you all so much!

LM-USMC They need to review the people who answer the phones, or at least put them through some kind of training to deal with people. The lady that answered this morning acted like this was the last thing on earth she wanted to be doing. Im not saying as a Vet, I should be treated like a king, but she is an employee of the VA, at least act like you care. Im not going to post her name here, but she needs to find employment that doesnt deal with people directly. Horrible.

Joleen Shadows Its very frustrating when you have chronic pain and an official diagnosis yet nobody wants to help you with treatment ideas/options. I have pleaded so many times about wanting to trying different medications to see if anything might be effective but I get ignored. Some advice. Just because I dont have cancer or Im not a heart patient doesnt mean my case isnt just as important. Also I had to see three different ENT doctors until finally one of them took the initiative and now I have an appointment set up with an oral surgeon. Do you want people to suffer? Something tells me if you were in my body you would have a different opinion. Thanks a lot UTMB!

Jan S I share the sentiments of an earlier reviewer. I have been treated for my pain for 13 years then I moved and it’s been ridiculous trying to get the same prescription I’ve had forever. I just saw Dr Jetty who was a jerk and looked at me and treated me as a drug seeker. Pain is the black sheep of medicine and the sufferers are treated with little to no respect. UTMB you should be ashamed of tying your providers hands by not allowing them to treat pain. That’s what Dr Jetty said as the reason he wouldn’t help. He was fine in the beginning of the appointment then he came back from meeting with the faculty doctor he reports to and was agitated and, quite frankly, disrespectful. Being short with me and with an attitude. And the more u try to explain your point and advocate for yourself the more they think you’re an addict. I’m addicted to the relief I get. I’m not an addict. I walked out demoralized.

Kathryn Anne Waiting room way too small to accommodate all the waiting patients. We had to sit shoulder to shoulder, and breathe each other’s germs… a great concern in a medical waiting room with sick patients. -There is absolutely no privacy at the reception counter -- everyone can hear your name and your medical information.

Kelley Hull Ive been going here for two and a half years. Within that time, Ive been to three PCPs because they keep re-assigning me a new PCP. They look for any reason to denie scripts in order for you to make yet another doctor visit, even after I have given labs. I will look for another medical provider

Chris Moore Since pandemic, this seems like a different clinic and not in a good way. My experience on both phone and in-person contact has been rude, rushed and unprofessional. If you need a specific type of procedure or doctor, they ignore your request. I ended up making numerous trips to other clinics and being told my paperwork was not correct. The worst part was, because I have chronic pain, I am always told "you cant have controlled drugs" and shown the door. Dr Kamprath always told me to take vitamins. I accepted his opinion because l actually had a different issue that was causing me so much pain and other symptoms that l was pretty much housebound. Finally, Dr Kampraths resident suggested the surgery that Kamprath kept ignoring. Despite his notes, Kamprath was not in the room until after the suggestion was made. Just had the surgery:. I had a lap band that had slipped and was wrapped around my liver and was infected. I COULD HAVE DIED. But, since Im tagged a druggie, Dr Kamprath and his crew have no responsibility. Dr Kamprath needs to slow down, listen, respect the patient and do your homework. You hurt me. Shame on you.

Daniela Martinez If I could give no stars to this incompetent ER I would. For anyone thinking of taking your loved ones here to be seen, DON’T. My mom went in there last night to be seen because she had an unbearable pain in her side from a a health issue she has been dealing with and they basically told her to kick rocks. Her current physician told her to go to any ER for help if the pain got worse and the doctor who saw her just told her that if she already had meds for the pain why did she bother coming to them for. That if she’s already been diagnosed then what was she wasting their time and hers for? I am honestly disgusted and disappointed with this kind of treatment from a place that’s supposed to help people or at least guide them in the right direction to get the proper help.

I also was giving a gown to dress into, I asked for a blanket & never was giving one & they left my door wide open. UPDATE : gave them another try & they blew it for good, went in for heart palpitations & other issues, they changed my vital signs as if i didn’t see them on the monitor.

Sandra Espinosa My boyfriend had a staph infection that was spreading fast. The NP looked at it from afar and the other nurse was just going to hand him the prescription. We asked for his legs to be rebandage since it was weeping and all they did was hand my boyfriend the gauze. The nurse watched him struggle to rewrap his legs and at one point the gauze accidentally touched the ground. For $900 you would think this hospital would do more than just look. The standard of care was so subpar for what a person has to pay. We could have went to the urgent care again for this level of treatment. I do not recommend this ER, drive off the island if you are able to.

ana HERNANDEZ My experience was very nice, everyone was extremely polite and friendly as well as knowledgeable. -1 Star for leaving my blood samples and urine cup on a counter for over two hours after being told they were going to do lab work. As well as -1 star for pulling extremely tight on my sutures during the removal process, having the stitches on the outside of the skin going back inside and pulling very hard on the long suture instead of cutting small pieces of the stitches and gently removing it has cause such great pain and irritation.

I had several video visitations with him since his stroke and the prison hospital has me down as a emergency contact.. well I hadn’t been i touch with him since the end of September of 2024, so I decided to call and set up a video visitation with him on December 5 2024 which at that time I was told that they couldn’t find him, well then after being past around to several different people and calling several different #’s I was told to call back the following day on December 6 2024, so I did I called back again on December the 6,2024 which was a Friday, again I got the run around that he could be located, finally I was told I would need to call back on Monday December 9, 2024 and speak with the Chaplin, so I call back that Monday and I spoke to the Chaplain she stated that he is being transferred to a different unit and I would need to wait to set up the video visitation until they had transferred him, she told me he was okay and that she has me down as a emergency contact if anything happens to him. Well yesterday January 8,2025 I called to set up a video visitation with my dad and I was told that he has passed on October 21,2024 @ 5:19 am. They said he had already buried in the Huntsville Prison Cemetery since they didn’t have anyone down as a Emergency Contact.. This is a damn shame that a inmate has been in prison for his crime for many years he has a stroke and they call u to see if u want a DNR and you go and sign his DNR so that when he passes you can finally bring him home where his family is and when he passes they don’t even bother to call you and notify you of his passing, instead they decide to still keep him there in the Prison Cemetery. So it is like u are in prison for life and even after death they still want to keep your remains.. when I confronted them they then start to say “Oh no you didn’t talk to me” and still want to get a attitude about it, when all u have to do is to admit that you made a mistake and give your condolences and then try to see what can be done if anything to try and make things right. Now they are telling me in order to try and get my dads remains I would need to try and get a court order to exhume his remains which will cost around $12,000. Where am I supposed to to get $12,000 to correct their mistake.. I think they should at least say “We made a mistake we can see what we can do to try and exhume his remains and do the cremation so you can come pick up his remains and take him home with no cost to you” as part of them trying to make this right…

陶洋 I am a Chinese. On October 1, 2024, I went to the emergency room for a simple arthritis knee effusion infection. It was just inflammation, and it could be cured with anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving treatment. The doctor in this hospital insisted that I undergo surgery, and lied to me with all kinds of exaggerations. He did not give me any food for three days, and did not give me a drop of anti-inflammatory medicine. As a result, my condition worsened in this hospital, and I was not given timely treatment at the first time. Later, under my strong opposition, I chose to transfer to another hospital for treatment. The service attitude of the medical staff in this hospital is very bad, and the doctors and nurses in the hospital have serious racial discrimination. Dont trust this hospital.

She said I can transfer you to leave a voicemail they’ll get back to you in 72 hours I told her my sister did that two days ago she said yes exactly 72 hours they got tell reply to you i said your rude . She said do you want me to transfer you I said yes but she hung up on me . So I called back she answered and i said exactly your rude Why did you hang up on me instead of transfering me she passed the phone . I think this location needs to be investigated for wrongful deaths and false reports on inmates and mis treatment

Venus Brown I called to get information about my brother, and although I was expecting the worst, I got very good and detailed answers and information. Even though my brother was not there at the time as scheduled and expected, I was politely put on hold then Officer Elliott came to the phone to let me know that “SHE IS LOOKING IT UP FOR YOU AND SHE WILL BE RIGHT BACK WITH YOU”. “She” came back to the phone with full details and the location of my brother, which eased my anxiety a bit. Thank you Jennifer Allen for your help and professional assistance. God Bless

MARK Trevino I called to check up on my fiancé left a voicemail and was called back and was told he was stable taking physical therapy and eating well. He called on a 5 minute call he was very sick could not stand or walk and said does not have an appetite. Now I am trying to get an update on my fiancé but I’m transferred to a voicemail again and have not received a call. I’m so worried about him. It’s not like I can just drive there. Earlier a lady transferred me to the chaplain to try there and no one answers and no voicemail. I can’t find out anything. It’s been 2 weeks. How horrible the way things are setup.
