mitchell mitchell Jessica is literally the best EVER! She has taken her time to turn my hair from a complete disaster, to healthy and BEAUTIFUL. Not only is she amazing, but the Salon itself has the best atmosphere of any salon Ive ever been to, I immediately felt comfortable the second I walked in for my first appointment. Misty, the owner, is a complete doll, and is so welcoming and down to earth. I feel like Im hanging out with my girlfriends every time Im there, and I cant imagine going anywhere else. I would travel hours if I had to. This is my forever Salon, and Jessica is my forever Stylist!!! Best. Salon. EVER!

Anne Claxton I had been looking for a great stylist who would actually listen and really try to achieve what hair style/color I wanted (within reason) for years. I had always found people who either didn’t listen or weren’t able to do what I wanted. I found Jessica at salon envy after a quick google search. She was very helpful and pleasant from the beginning. What stood her apart from everyone else was that she wanted me to come in for a consultation to gauge where my hair was before she would commit to saying she could color my hair the way I was asking. I’ve hesitated writing this review (I’ve seen her for almost 2 years now) because I wanted to keep her all to myself. But I really won’t go anywhere else. The salon is always clean and peaceful. You won’t be disappointed.

Sheri Lancon Love Salon Envy! Misty does a beautiful job on my highlights and cuts! She makes wonderful recommendations. I always leave happy and with the color/cut I wanted! The atmosphere of the salon is very comfortable and relaxing. Misty cuts my sons hair as well and is very thourough with the cuts. She takes the time to listen to what he wants and makes sure he leaves happy! Great prices and customer service! 5 stars aren’t enough!

Stacy Rodriguez Ashley has been a good friend of mine for many years and of course is my hairstylist!! I love that with all switch up hairstyles we do, she keeps my hair very healthy! She did such an amazing job on my 3 year old that shes constantly wanting to get her haircut now! Couldnt imagine going to any other person or salon. Thank you Ashley & Salon Envy!

Mariela Gomez Ashley fixed the haircut i had gotten two days before at another place. Ashley cut and put color in my hair. Love it! Really recommend her and I got to see her coworkers work as well. They all do great work and the whole team is very friendly and polite. You can tell they LOVE what they do.

Stephanie was so nice, I showed her an inspo pic of what I wanted, & she made sure to do them exactly like that. I loved my nails and Im so happy she recommended I try Gel-X!

I felt extremely comfortable and it’s less stressful being able to go to 1 salon for all my services. Susan Fountaine My experience here was awesome. My hair stylist Brenda greeted me when I first entered the door. She had done my hair years ago, but I remembered her & got an appointment. My hair came out beautiful, very straight. I had her just to do loose curls. I will definitely be back as soon as I get extra bucks. Because hair stylist these days make dont make 15 cents. It takes some bucks, but that is okay. She is definitely worth it. Have a Merry Christmas & Blessed New Year everyone!

AMY VICK A Hidden Gem for Gorgeous Hair! I’ve been going to Maddy for over a year now, and I can honestly say I trust her completely with my hair—which, as most women know, is a huge deal! She’s not just a stylist; she’s an artist who knows exactly how to bring out the best in my hair, no matter what I ask for. From dark brown to light brown to blonde highlights, she’s made every transition flawless. She’s also a pro at covering my grays and problem areas, so I always leave feeling fresh and confident. What I love most is that she listens to what I want but also gives honest advice based on her expert knowledge, making me feel totally taken care of. Although she mostly works with a younger crowd, I can say that at 50, I feel just as cared for and trendy as anyone else in the chair! She’s fun, caring, and truly passionate about her craft—plus, she’s always up on the latest styles. If you’re looking for a stylist who is hip, knows her stuff, and will leave you looking and feeling amazing, I couldn’t recommend Maddy more!

Madison Harris I have waited weeks to post this in hopes the stylist would come forward and make things right, however that has yet to happen. The stylist name is Jayden, and I have reached out to the owner of the building as well. The stylist was contacted by me the next day after service and informed of my disappointment(anyone who knows anything about hair will see the pictures do justice). She informed me she would work me in that day no charge and did not let me know until 6 that night that she would not be able to make it. I do NOT want this “stylist” touching anyone else’s head due to the lack of professionalism and talent. Honestly I should have known this would happen when she was bad mouthing a client who was also unhappy with her service. This is something I have taken as a lesson learned but just a warning for anyone else looking for a hairstylist that can leave you happy with results I would keep looking.

She was easy to talk to, gave good hair advice, and used a wonderful detangle brush I ended up going out and buying for myself! Highly recommend this salon. Nice atmosphere and good experience.

But she took in consideration my head injury & asked step but step if x was ok and if it hurt.. u name it. This is a service u don’t and won’t find ANYWHERE

Kristin Funk My son has gone here 2 times to get a perm. It completely fell out the 1st time, I asked for my money back and got told no because services were rendered, but that I could bring him back and they would redo it. I appreciated that. We have gone back for the 2nd time now and it is falling out again in the front. Please do not advertise services that you dont know how to do. I paid $100 for essentially nothing. Will not be going back here for perms. He did get a trim with the perm, and that did look nice.

Becky B. I needed to find a new hairdresser and was pretty nervous since I have shorter curly hair. Sydney did a great job!! She took her time, listened to me, and even styled my hair with a diffuser (curly girls understand this). Bonus was that she cut my hair wet. Many people are afraid to do this with curls because you can cut off way too much. I was very impressed with her ability to handle my greying curls with confidence. Ive attached a picture I took right after I left the salon in case anyone with curls is also looking for a new hairdresser. You wont be disappointed!

Mandy Stewart I have received services at Northgate Hair Salon for several years, and I am thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. From the first day I walked in, I felt at ease in their family-friendly atmosphere, which made me feel welcome and comfortable. The stylists at Northgate cut hair of all ages and the prices are budget-friendly. My teenage son was a customer and he’s hard to please! Lori is my hairdresser and she always gets my cut and color just right! The staff is friendly, attentive, and make sure I am happy with the final result. Overall, I would highly recommend Northgate Hair Salon to anyone looking for a salon that offers exceptional service, a welcoming atmosphere, and reasonable prices.

Carrie robeson This place is hands down the BEST place to go! First of all it’s family owned and operated. Everyone who works there has been there 6-20 years besides the owners (40 years). The atmosphere is the best thing I have EVER experienced in a salon especially in this town. Everyone welcomes you with a kind smile. When I first called about my appointment I had a few questions and the receptionist was not rude or annoyed at all. I called back to schedule my appointment and Carly was amazing. I went in feeling disgusted with my hair and she made me feel beautiful again. While she was doing my hair her and the owner (the wife) both were talking to me and it was so comfortable and home like. I 100% will be going back to this salon and Carly! What made everything even better is Carly would tell me what she was doing to my hair and reassured me that my hair is healthy and it falling out was normal and soon would get better. My husband even LOVES my hair cut. Thank you THANK YOU THANK YOU Carly and Northgate Hair and Nail Design for welcoming me and bringing back my confidence. Libby Lane I will never shut up to anyone about HOW AMAZING THIS PLACE IS!!! First of all- the environment. I have never felt judged, or uncomfortable walking in this salon. Aside from my stylist, all of the girls are very kind and welcoming. Its a very chill vibe with very friendly people. Secondly, i have never been disappointed walking in to get my hair done. If I come in with something very specific, Mallory gets it exactly what I asked for in an affordable fast manner. If I say I want something like this but am open to your skills- she gets to know her customers likings and created a beautiful color or something she know I would love. These ladies all are very personable and not only do hair but get to know and retain their clients likings as well as comfortability. I will never change salons!!!!!! Highly highly recommend!

They are located in a really cool part of the historic downtown and are always doing fun events with the other local businesses. This is my second visit here, and I am a loyal customer!

Linda Tran Went in to this establishment with virgin hair that has not been touch by color for over 8 years Went in Friday 12/6 consultation Schedule appointment for 12/10 that had to be change on stylist behalf Came in on 12/12 I have extra long thick dark black hair Think of horse hair to get an idea Ask for all grey hair During the whole session I trusted the stylist base on reviews and ratings that she was able to accomplish what was agreed upon No interruption or questionable remarks on towards or about the stylist capabilities or process while working on my hair Conversing with sister in law the whole duration Didn’t get to look at my hair till the very end 4/12 hours At the end of everything I absolutely in no way liked my hair (mortified, and embarrassed ) and made that clear in a calming respectful manner while conversing with my sister in law nothing directed at stylist and still payed and tip $300 The stylist said she would fix my hair and gave me her personal number of her own free will to keep in touch Stylist recommendation to go home and use the purple shampoo that stylist recommended ( Fanola )but the outcome wasn’t any better so I reach out sending before and after photo to rectify the situation But stylist decided that she would NOT fix my hair claiming my sister in law and I was unreasonable rude and disrespectful to find someone else to do my hair ( good luck she said) During the whole session not never did the stylist express more time, more money, more product another treatment will be needed to accomplish what was discussed and agreed to On 12/17 Went to another salon by stylist name Juan and got everything fix an it turned out amazing 6 hours and cost me 500

Lally Flores Ashley is the best with the eyebrows and eye lashes. She is awesome at her job and has awesome customer service. Just recently got my haircut by Mallory and it was an awesome experience definitely will be going back to the ladies there for my haircuts and any hair needs. They all have such great customer service.

Romeo Achu My wifes hair was messed up at this location. First, we were asked to show up at 5:45AM, which we did. The hairdresser was not there. We had to call to get her off her bed, and she showed up late without an apology. She will not let my wife evaluate progress to make sure the right thing is being done. My wife decided to trust her. We paid for hair treatment, but we received just a hair wash and not treatment. Secondly, there is a stack difference between the picture of twisted braids that was used to request the service and what was done. The twisted braids were scanty on my wifes head. The hairdresser requested that we bring 5 packs of hair extension, but she used just one (hence the scanty braids on the head). The hairdresser scheduled multiple people on the same day and rushed through the braids because, at some point, she had to start multitasking between customers. We were completely dissatisfied with the job, and when I gave her feedback, she got defensive. I should have given it a 3 star if she would be punctual and accept feedback without putting up a show. Hair-do was unsatisfactory, and the stylist/hairdresser was impolite and defensive. I would give less than 1 star if it was possible. $280 spent + cost of extensions + time wasted +and poor services are the reasons I would not recommend this place to anybody.

M Jones Tuni is an amazing person who does amazing work. This new journey has been seamless thus far, from booking to my actual appt. Shes very responsive and so personable which goes a very long way. Im so happy I found her.

Jessica Grisham Quincy did such a great job with our 4 year old! I was wary of getting my son’s hair cut bc he has thick, mixed hair and is sensory sensitive to sounds. The only problem was getting my son in the chair, after that, Quincy took over and worked his magic. Highly recommend!

Paul Raul does a pretty decent job and for $12 you cant beat it. Raul has his grandson working there cutting hair now. The grandson gave me one of the worst haircuts I have ever had. The grandson missed entire patches of hair. Im not talking one hair Im talking over a dozen hairs were missed completely. I understand he is family but if your grandson cant cut hair, dont let him!

Hawk Ace I don’t know if it was a bad day or what, but terrible first time customer..First of all, I am a mother of 4. When I make an appointment I will be there. We originally scheduled a simple haircut at 1pm, then she said she got an opening for 11am and asked if I wanted to come early, yeah that sounds great. Cool. Well the day of the appointment she messages and said she had a family emergency..can I come at 1pm..fine. I know things happen, not a problem. I get there at 1pm. The ladies at the front desk..rude and snobby, not welcoming or inviting. The person that is supposed to do my hair comes out 10 minutes after my appointment and says so sorry she is behind and running a little late. Okay not a problem. Well, I am still sitting there 45 minutes after my appointment?! Not a word of an eta, nothing. So I leave and that’s that. While I was waiting in those 45 minutes a lady came in for her appointment and they said oh we messed up, can you come back in a couple hours? Very unorganized, I would never be back. Nope. Never. I don’t recommend. Terrible experience.

Maria redid the whole thing with a different dye and it turned just as we wanted!
