My fiancé & I rushed her here to seek help, sadly, she ended up passing an hour after we got her here before they got to drew blood to find out answers. We had her cremated with a paw print. They partner with Cherished Memories and they delivered her ashes in a beautiful wooden box with a big casting of her paw prints. I appreciate all they did to give me my baby girl back so she can be at rest at home with our family. Thank you. ♥️

Merkaba Mending I finally made the change to this particular vet and I already love them! They are appointment only which means myself and my cats dont have to wait all day and hope we get lucky enough to be seen. The person I spoke to on the phone was beyond nice and helpful!! I havent been there yet for my appointment and I already love them!! Ill update this to say how great the actual visit was, because I can already tell its going to be the best veterinary experience Ive had in Temple! I had to add to my review. One of our cats doesnt normally do well at the vets office, to the point where I usually give them a heads up. Well, that is no longer an issue!! He has never been this calm at any prior vets!! They were so gentle and gave him some extremely helpful advice on how to best care for him going forward! This is literally the best vet in this entire area and then some!! If I could give more stars, I would!!

My daughter has been sick for months and each visit I’m told that there’s nothing that can be done. I went in today with my child running a fever, swollen, nostrils, swollen gland, swollen everything and she had the nerve to get an attitude with me because I wasn’t accepting her usual” there’s nothing I can do.” if you care about your kids health find another dr who will actually try.

natalie burkel I made my appointment & went to my very first visit at Ascension Medical. I was there on time and while waiting to be called back after checking in, I hear the front desk staff calling patients of Dr. Libreros & canceling all of his appointments for the rest of the day stating he’s not feeling well. I’m thinking well, if he’s sick why would he still be coming in to be in the same room as me. I understand sometimes things come up and maybe this is just the story given but it still made me uneasy. However, it took me over a month to be able to be seen. Dr. Libreros comes in and introduces himself and when I tell him why I am there, he completely ignores what I want him to check on and keeps over speaking me. He tells me all these tests he wants to do but I ask him to check the area I have been having pain & he continues to tell me to come back for the follow up after giving the bloodwork & UA & CT scan. I had a suggestion from an ER doctor & I let Dr. Libreros know since I’d just had a CT Scan done in the ER six months ago, & he completely ignored the it & told me to have another done. I did all the tests & paid $500.00 out of pocket for the CT scan because even though Ascension was in Network, the CT scan was not & I had to drive to another town for that. I go back for my follow up & results all I want is for Dr. Libreros to listen to me and at least feel the hardening in my side/rib area that been giving me pain. People know their bodies & I knew there is inflammation and I couldn’t get the doctor to even acknowledge it in the least. He gave me my results of what he’d gotten back, I would have to contact the facility that did the CT scan & have them send that over so, he didn’t have those results but he tells me I’m healthy and he wants me to take vitamin D for six months & come back. I tell him, Doc, I need you to listen to me and check this area, take the vitamin D for six months and come back was his response. I had to ask what about the CT scan and he told me he promises there would be nothing there but hadn’t seen it at all. I have to take the steps to contact the other facility and have it sent over. I feel unheard and gaslit to say the least. My work just got new health insurance that starts after the 1st of the year & sadly I am right where I was in October waiting to start all over with a new doctor, been on Vitamin D & still having the same pain and inflammation and have to wait to be seen by a different doctor. I’m sure there is a level of knowledge from being a doctor for so many years but listening to your patients should be first and foremost. I appreciate the time that was taken but I he was quick to shrug my concerns off, not sure but after two visits & blatantly asking him to just acknowledge and feel the area I was making the appointment for, I sincerely have no trust in that medical professional & pray that it is as easy simply taking a vitamin but the inflammation is easy to feel & recognized by anyone, you don’t have to be a professional and the pain is still very much there.

Crystal Lee We saw Dr. Cochran for a spay on our coati. He was very kind and made sure all my questions were answered before performing the surgery. I got to sit in on the operation. Doc spoke with me the entire time and put my worries at ease. He was efficient and the surgery went well. His tech was also amazing and very caring and stayed with us until we were ready to go home. Also, once saw Cochran regarding an issue with a cotton top tamarin monkey. I 100% recommend him for anything exotic related.

Kenzie Kurz Forgot to leave a review after all the craziness, but I just wanted to say that these people were so amazing and quick. They saved my old man and kept me up to date everyday on how he was doing. We came in with him, my poor fur baby could not walk he was just dead weight, his gums were pale white and I feel like if they weren’t as quick as they were he wouldn’t have made it, after I told the front desk they immediately called it and my fur baby was taken back immediately. It was very traumatic and they reassured me they would do everything they could to help him. Since then, he has been in better health he was before! Thank you guys so much!

hilda figueroa After taking my dog to Austin and charging me a bunch of money, then took her to a vet clinic in Temple on Avenue H and they gave me a wrong diagnostic saying it was her soft palette well that wasn’t it had nothing to do with her condition, so I took her to Dr. Cochran He is amazing if I could give him 100 stars as a review I would do that without hesitation, he took the time to look in debt and explain everything in detail to us. He shows a lot of compassion and definitely. Is full of knowledge and expertise very professional very caring 110% care given from him thank you thank you thank you Dr. Cochran

Ryan Black Brought my cat here after she fell and hurt her nose. I love that they allow walk-ins because I was able to take her in as soon as they opened instead of calling 20 different places to try and get an appointment. The wait was not bad at all. The very was really nice, took good care of my cat, and took the time to talk to me on the phone after my cat had some side effects from the antibiotics. Will definitely be going back here for my cats veterinary needs.

Kelly B The whole staff was great! As I walked in, they took my dog back to get vitals and assess her. Dr Twining came in and established rapport, asked questions to better understand my dogs medical challenges, and discussed treatment options. There were times where I waited while they treated other animals. I could hear others talk to the front desk clerk who was so patient and supportive with everyone. I’m so glad there is an emergency clinic nearby that shows care and compassion.

Julie Buchanan UPDATE: The manager of the clinic, Deborah, contacted me after reading my initial review, most of which I have now deleted. I was impressed & appreciative at the genuine concern Deborah showed regarding not only my experience at her clinic, but also the well being of my dog. Ultimately, Sadie Mae and I returned to the clinic to see the medical director, Dr. Twining, and go over the details of Sadies previous visit in person. We had an absolutely wonderful visit with Dr. Twining, Deborah (who came specifically to see us during her off time), Mike (vet tech) and Mikes wife (also vet tech who name is escaping me). The care, concern and compassion all 4 of these people showed is what I expect from all veterinary professionals. Not to mention they were just a fun group of people that are genuinely happy while at work. Because of their follow up we parted on very good terms with the understanding that if I need emergency vet care in the future, I will be calling to find out which doctor is working. If the doctor with whom we had multiple bad experiences is on duty, I will go out of town before seeing her again, but everyone else there is a-ok! PART OF INITIAL REVIEW: I just dont have adequate words at the moment. Ive been to this clinic twice, ironically almost exactly 1 year apart. After reading numerous raving reviews about some of the doctors at this clinic, I feel cheated to have seen the same doctor at both of my visits that left me far from satisfied.

Jacob Bates Likely the most amazing medical professional I’ve ever had the pleasure of being seen by. I struggle with “white coat syndrome” and have a tough time facing my medical issues in general. Dr. Betik is a down to earth and realistic doctor who care about patient health and happy living. Kimani Johnson Dr. Betik is easy to talk to and quick to respond to my concerns. He orders prescriptions and sends out referrals as soon as I request them. He and everyone on his team are friendly and understanding. Im glad to be under his care.

He does not try to rush you out the door. Hes been the best Doctor Ive seen in 10 years since moving to Texas. My husband also sees him and we both have had great experiences!

Felicia Holland Doctor Betik took the time to actually listen to my issue. He thoroughly examined me and explained why I was feeling sick in a way that I could understand. Even though Im sure he was very booked with patients, I felt like I was the only patient during my visit. He didnt seem rushed at all.

Quinnie Part two: So after my nerve test I decided to go downstairs and talk to patient relations since they are supposed to advocate for patients. I rang the doorbell as the door states but nobody came to the door. Then I read the note and it says walk in appointment 9am-4pm. Alright still nobody came to the door so I waited and looked through the windows I did not see one human. A few seconds later a Caucasian lady came to the door she had a head set on so that was a clear indication that she may have been on the phone which is why it took so long to come to the door. She apologized immediately and she asked me to take a seat she was on the phone. So, I sat and waited patiently then a causation heavier set male came in and he asked me if I was waiting on him. I said I don’t know who I am waiting for but I need to talk to someone. The lady came back to the front apologize again and indicated she was on a call handling another concern request. She asked me to come into the office. I sat down and prior to sitting she asked me my name and she knew who I was immediately by the compliant I submitted. Me being the person that I am I simply wanted to know what made Scott n White change protocols and everyone needs a id to enter the clinic for appointments. She immediately became agitated and created a hostile environment for me. She was rude disrespectful and completely disregarded my feelings and concerns. She said you came into the clinic in august ma’am I suffer with MANY debilitating medical conditions one being I suffer with memory loss from a benign TBI Compliments of Iraq. I said I DO NOT remember but you’re still not telling me WHY? What made Scott n white say Eveybody must show a id to get into the clinic! Her words verbatim Scott n white is a non profit organization and we can do whatever we want to do! REALLY YOU CAN! I am in disbelief because this was something I didn’t know. Again in my twenty plus years of being a Scott n white patient I have NOT ever been spoken too in this tone so I become upset and irritated. But I know a God who’s more powerful than the rudeness she spread. I said so you’re telling me if Scott n white sends a memo to the employees that you ALL must come to work tomorrow naked or you’ll be fired. She said yes! WHAT in the mighty name of Jesus is she saying to me. Shaking my head again in disbelief. She went on to say we have a right to know who is in our facility I don’t know who you are you maybe a “terrorist” ughhhhh hold up stop the press my antenna says get up and walk out she has crossed one too many lines. Internally I am thinking does she think I am a terrorist or is it because I am black African American! This lady went off the deep end and she had no empathy nor remorse for my concerns. That is NOT patient relations or an advocate for patient people or Scott n white. She has definitely made me second guess every note or speak up policy set by the standard of Scott n white. If this is who Scott n white wants you need to vet your employees better! Now the whole time we’re talking not one time did that other man come in and say hey let’s take a step back and discuss this rationally. The lady talked to me like I was dirt on the bottom of her feet. Before I left I stood up and asked what is your name and what do you do here. She said Amy and I am a patient relations specialist I said under my tongue ummm huh and proceeded to walk out. She said would you like me to get the door for you? I said in my sarcastic tone I wouldn’t won’t you to break a nail with your high paying high class job for a disabled black woman. I walked out and still in disbelief that this is a person who represents Scott n white. She does not need to be in patient relations she needs to be in the unemployment line or retire! I would NOT talk to my dog the way this woman spoke to me. I couldn’t find ANYONE to speak to about her character then I found a house supervisor named Evette who was in just as much disbelief as I was. She assured me I would be contacted. Nobody deserves to be treated the way she treated me.

Tommy Moss No rock unturned. S&W medical team has done a great job of getting me through my illness. The Doctors and nurses were extremely nice and took the time to explain all my procedures. The Dining facility and staff had the best food I’ve ever seen in a hospital. My favorite was definitely the cheese Burger. Snacks and juices were readily available. Checking out of the hospital took 20 minutes including the golf cart ride to my pov.

Shytavia Johnson This is my automatic choice for Emergency Healthcare that requires an over night stay! It’s a great Level 1 Trauma center and definitely the best in Central Texas Area! They are thorough and all the nurses and staff provide a calming and caring environment. The Doctors go over and beyond to figure out what ever you have going on. Given an emergency situation I can confidently say I feel like my life is in good hands here!!

nick Rivera Very unhappy with my follow up care. Could care less if that spinal chord is infected. Couldnt even review my pictures and or tell me anything or get back to me to give me guidance. I was told to put nothing on my incision and that was horrible guidance. I had to have the family nurse take care of me. Never want to get treatment there again the VA is better.

Jane Kirby We enjoyed our stay so much! We were quickly greeted upon our arrival by Annette! She offered to help my daughter with our things as she got my wheelchair. She even went further to bring us extra pillows to help with pain as it hurts me to lay flat on a bed. She even went and brought us ice! I have never encountered such a warm welcoming like this one anywhere I have stayed and I am 78 years old. For what it’s worth thank you Annette! We will see you again soon as we will be back to Temple for more upcoming doctors appointments. God bless!

Crystal Xixitla Ive stayed at this hotel numerous times Ive just recently noticed not so clean practices for instance bugs inside light fixtures, dust collected on lamps, countertops, rusting of air vents but what has recently the icing on the cake; I stayed in room 112 on 1/8/2025 and I got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and while I looked up there was a massive roach in the bathtub, with that being said its the middle of the night I didnt have something to kill it with so my instinct was to call the front desk I called about 4 times at 12:40 and with no avail. I got my sneakers on and walked to the front desk waited for her to check in some new guests and explained to her the situation she proceeded to tell me that the hotel room was sold out and that what she could do is call housekeeping and go check it out. I went to back to my room and the front desk and the 3 housekeepers came in and took trash out as well as switch the towels out they asked me where did it go I explained to them that I had no idea as I needed my glasses to see I asked if they had a problem with critters they explained no its that the roaches come inside because its cold outside and they are looking for shelter. They left and the front desk gave me a call and explained that I could change to room 1106 if I wanted to I explained it was 1:20 am I wasnt going to do that however I could once I got back from the office the following day. I go back to the front desk and explained the situation to Rachel and she explained to me that they sprayed the room and there was no one there but that they are sold out and that the room that was offered to me is no longer available. She explained to me that they cleaned it up and that everything was fine I explained to her I was not comfortable staying in that room and that if they didnt catch the roach or kill it, I was nervous of staying there as I dont want it crawling on me in the middle of the night. She explained she would send in the housekeeper to double check but she couldnt move me because they are sold out she proceeded to ask me if I knew where the roach went if I took pictures implying that I was lying or making up a story I proceeded to explain I didnt see where it went because I needed my glasses to see by the time I made it back to the bathroom I didnt known where it went. She explained I would be in the room or what would she like for her to do for me. I explained I dont know as I have never been in this situation she explained she could take some money off of the room rate while I explained to her Financials arent the issue the issue is the roaches and bugs there is, I explained so my onlu option is to check out and find another hotel as shes not willing to switch me she explained that they were sold out and that if I choose to leave it would be my choice. The housekeeper went into the room checked the room found not one but 2 dead roaches in the bathroom and she attempted to lie however I was looking at the 2 roaches and she couldnt hide it she said to me well they are dead Im looking for a live one, and actually found the one from last night 1/8/2025. I went back to the front desk and explained that she found not one not 2 but 3 roaches, to which Rachel said you can pack your stuff and come back to the front while being "sold out" she managed to find a vacant room in 5 minutes. My frustration comes from the implications of the story I was telling was a lie and the fact that she told me they cleaned the room when its very clear and evident that housekeeping or maintenance hadnt stepped foot in the room. Not to mention to say that this housekeeping team is mediocre at best. Needless to say this will be last stay at this particular Hilton location the hotel across them is clean and their sheets dont smell like they have been sitting in a closet full of moths, not to mention the pillows are so old that they are little cotton balls inside of them now they are not cotton filled they are so old they have reverted to being little balls of cotton.

Angie Young The room was clean and a decent size with 2 queen beds. Room darkening curtains were very effective, and the air conditioning worked well (and quietly). Beds were lumpy, and I could not get comfortable. I tossed and turned most of the night and eventually switched to the other bed, but it was the same. The bathroom was roomy, and water pressure in the shower was good. Check-in was easy, and the front desk agent was very friendly and helpful!

Tamara Neuwirth Unremarkable bedside manner. Has a stenographer accompany him during his procedures, to what avail I am unsure; as Dr. Rodolfo Martinez and I discussed that he would send in a medication prescription to my pharmacy and that did not happen. Injection of steroid was wielded haphazardly and without explanation of what type of medicine was being used. Insertion of needle was sloppy, I have never had a doctor “dig” around in a joint before seeing Dr. Martinez. Mostly, I am alarmed by the fact that he left our exam room and walked straight into his next patient’s room without washing or sanitizing his hands. The level of care I received today was questionable, at best.

Ester Everything about this appt was glorious. From checking in and then waiting in my car for service. They go to your car to let you know when to go on. Super convenient. Staff was friendly and extremely professional. Dr Nadau (unsure of spelling) was super attentive and focus on multiple concerns that I had. It was an amazing appt. So much was discussed and addressed. I love the fact that theres ample parking too. Highly recommend!

The nurses and doctors were super friendly, and something that I liked was the way they do it so that the children feel confident and above all, explaining each step of what they are going to do so that they are not afraid. Well, in my case it was a CT Scan and it seemed super excellent. Doctors willing to resolve any concerns you may have.

AJ Smith Never want to take your 14mo old to the ER but if I have to again we’ll know where to go next time! From registration on we encountered people that were kind and helpful. Madeline T. took good care of us and was so kind in bringing toys and bubbles to distract our little one. (And extra bubbles when dad broke the first thing!). You could tell the doc had been in the pediatric setting a while and was great at explaining what was going on and not just ordering a bunch of tests or imaging as I feel has become so unnecessarily common in healthcare these days!!

Jose Araoz I have only visited the fourth floor with the mental health services but I have been there about 10 times. The waiting area is fairly large with a decent amount of magazines. The TV plays Disney channel as expected. It has been my experience that they are always running whims their appointment times. Ladies at the front desk are nice and helpful. There is a snack bar in the first floor and a pharmacy.

Amanda Pourtaimour First off, let me say that Dr. Malik is great and the deduction of stars is in no way a reflection of any medical care my child has received. And usually, the front desk at the general pediatric clinic are great too. I have no clue who checked me in today and why they were the way that they were, but the general way they handled my situation was completely without caring or grace and I felt it should be noted. I did arrive late to my 12 month well visit and that is my fault, but, I was marked as no show as I was in the lobby waiting behind other patients to be checked in. Had the person checking me in cared even in the slightest about the fact that these appointments are extreme hard to get and sometimes people are doing their absolute best, then I guarantee that we would’ve been seen. But, since this was not the case and I seemed to be more of an irritant than anything else - I was told “too bad, so sad” in less words. Grace/empathy and a little bit of courtesy do go a very long way. Anyways, I will not be returning because the front desk is the face of a business - and if the front desk says “I don’t care” then that’s likely the mindset of the rest of the business.

Anita Hancock If you enjoy going to a Dr where it now normal to be treated as if you dont know your own body and it all in your head everytime you come in then this is the place. Their slogan is when your better we are better but what they really mean is when your not better we are. We just want to charge you more and give you less and expect you to accept that. They act like they have checked everything possible when only doing the bare minimum... they dont even look at your chart before talking to you...very narrow minded and act like if your symptoms arent to a t then it cant be possible and they give "opinions" without proof...

Brandon Bennett It’s so asanign to me that you can’t get in to see a doctor for 5-6 months. It’s worse than countries with free health care, and sad when there is a need. They turned my wife away, who’s is also a medical professional and Dr. In her field, because they cannot fit her in and only offer one appointment time between now and January when she’s double booked with patients of her own, and she’s not willing to sacrifice her patients health and drop everything for same day, when she can reasonable make accommodations even a couple days out to a week. We loved the doctors we’ve seen here, and I’ve gotten in within 2-3 days on multiple occasions when I’ve had issues, but it’s been a while, and this is sad… The fact that my wife can’t get care until January when she is having issues that should make it important to see her is crazy. We’ve called, messaged and emailed with the symptoms, what’s going on, and they are not willing to schedule her until January. They say she can call in in the morning and get same days appointments, but can’t get regular appointments scheduled. We are looking for a new doctor that actually prioritizes the health of their patients. She can’t do same day because of her profession and it’s not possible. We may have to go to urgent care for something that’s constant ailing but not urgent, at night when we have an infant at home, but this is ridiculous.

Nobody Nobody Very nice and modern facility. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Dr. Jennifer Flory one of the excellent physicians that works there is first rate. She is very caring and compassionate in her care for her patients. I drive from Hutto to this clinic because of the staff and the doctors who go above and beyond to insure their patient is well treated and taken care of with first rate care.

Benjamin Ridenoure My family has had a great experience in the past with everyone at this clinic. Dr Griggs, and Dr Stokes are fantastic. Had to take my son in for a walk-in appointment a couple days ago. Front desk passed off a nurse that specializes in diabetes as a Doctor. Was told by the “Dr” Walker to give him over the counter medication because he has the flu, no flu test was given. Now 24 hours later I find myself sitting in the ER waiting to see if my child has pneumonia.

F F Daughter had streph throat, as I caught it from her, then was treated by the VA after. When we went here though, B S W, doctor just looked at my 5 year old and said, RSV, go rest. No meds, no tests, not even a swab. My daughter remained super sick and spread streph to many during thisduration, all due to a lazy doctor, who refused to swab test my child even after I asked!

Carla Moon This place is a joke! My dad was here for a week, OT and PT worked with him 3 times. THREE times! And they are sending him home. An 83 year old that needs rehab. They sure will bill the insurance and get a weeks worth of money for nothing! NEVER look at reviews that the case manager’s give you, they are 100% biased. WASTE of time and money! BSW is a money hungry organization that could care less about their patients. KEEP YOUR FAMILY FAR AWAY!!

Dana Smith Update: It’s been over a month and I still haven’t heard from anyone. I came to Continuing Care after having a tracheotomy tube in me from respiratory failure and I spent a month and almost three weeks at this hospital and what I will do is start with the positives. For the most part, they have an amazing staff. I had some of the best nurses. All was very attentive and caring. The main issue with the nurses are that they are understaffed and busy all the time and it makes patients irritable waiting for long periods of time to get care. One time I had to wait almost two hours for something and that’s ridiculous. Sometimes there was some nurses that wasn’t doing their jobs and was talking more than working. . The physical therapy team really helped me at my lowest moments in life. I was so sick I couldn’t hardly move. They motivated and kept me going even when I didn’t see it possible and helped me to do much more than just laying in a bed. I will always be grateful for them. The RT team was great as well. They made sure I was well taken care of and always listened to my concerns and kept me in the loop about my care. Sanitation was amazing too. Some days when I didn’t have visitors, they were very kindhearted ladies that made me smile. Now to negative. The doctors there do not listen to their patients. They would listen to what I had to say, but I didn’t always feel like I was heard. I had a concern about my foot and it took for Dr. Anderson which was the third doctor that was treating me, to do something. If I was treated in a timely manner on my foot, I would be further in my recovery. Another issue with the doctors is the bedside manner. I’m a very obese woman and I’m well aware of that. I’m aware that I need to lose weight. I know that doctors will tell you that from time to time… but having three doctors tell you that and continue to badger you about it while you’re recovering from being sick is not helping a patient. I felt that one time was enough and I didn’t need to be reminded constantly especially when I was losing weight while I was there. Another issue that upset me during my stay is the lack of communication between patient and doctors. A lot of the time I wouldn’t know what was going on with me until it would happen. The biggest issue I had was with the case worker. I remember when she came to my room at the time and was asking me about my insurance from my job. Mind you I was barely talking because I had a teach and she disturbed me for over thirty mins and basically tried to get me to do her job. I wasn’t needed for that. What was also upsetting to me is that upon my discharge I was promised home health, and I was told that I couldn’t have it because charity doesn’t do home health. After my insurance was canceled, (due to my job letting me go during my coma and they couldn’t contact me) I felt that they wanted me out very quickly. As my time for discharge approached, I asked for a couple of more days to perfect transfers and get stronger because I wouldn’t have the same amenities at home. I was told no every which way. I asked to speak to a higher up to advocate for myself and was told to contact Patient Relations. It’s been days, and my aunt nor myself has received a call back. I was told that my care wasn’t enough to be there and was told that I should go into a nursing home for further care. Which is ludicrous because that would be more expensive then keeping me a couple more days. I was also told that I would be getting physical therapy home in spite of me not having insurance and my case worker waited two hours after I came home to text me and let me know that I wouldn’t be eligible because I no longer had insurance . But they sent me home like that and the only option they gave me was a nursing home, which I didn’t need to go to. All in all I had a bittersweet experience there and to anyone who goes here or take their loved ones there, please make sure that you can advocate for your care because sometimes it’s very necessary.

Andrea Martinez April 2 2024 , While my father was in his end of life transistion, I was spending time there with he and my mother as a support and to check on their welfare ; due to recent APS contact , because of neglect by the family members who had control over their Power of Attorney . I spoke with a hospice social worker there in confidence to share concerns about these family members ( one with an extensive and dangerous criminal history ) who had POA of both my parents . Due to the recent APS contact and my concern about their well being , I was asking for eyes and ears on my parents while at the facility . Not only did the case worker, a mandatory reprter , condescend to me and disregard my concerns , She then violated Ethical standards by repeating the conversation to the very family members posing the risk to my parents well being and safety. This put my safety at risk as well. This is dangerous, unethical, and unprofessional conduct . Secondly, I stayed the night with my father on April 2 into April 3 , to keep him comfortable. I have been a caregiver for 30 years and have spent many nights providing care and comfort to hospice patients. I had low light and the TV on his favorite program on mute. My husband was sleeping on one side and I was keeping watch on the other, the night nurse came in and gave him meds around 10 pm and said shed return in 30 min . She did not return to check on him in 30 min , she did not reposition him or swab his mouth . I was there and knew what to do to keep him comfortable, so I put cream on his lips, hydrated his mouth , cooled his hands, took the covers back when he over heated , until approximately 1:oo am he got agitated and I called the nurse in. She came in and proceeded to lecture me on comfort care and telling me the TV needed to be off and room dark so he could rest . In 30 years of providing hospice care, I have never heard of having a dying patient in the dark. I asked her if I should leave , and she said no . I stayed and sat with my dying father in a pitch dark room. When she came in, she would shine her bright phone light in his face

Tazzy Truck Update: Someone reached out to me and they handled this situation very well and very professional. I actually ended up going back to this facility and the treatment was so much better. Dont get me wrong, the facility itself is very nice and clean. Most of the nurses are great as well. The case manager said sha qe really had no reason why she did what she did. I didnt really have to deal with her too much, because most times she would send another person in my room to ask the questions or address the concerns. Still, I didnt really have a problem. Only thing, she came in my room and said the case worker said my insurance company didnt approve my extended stay. I call my insurance company and they said that the case manager sent a request, and it wasnt denied, it was a pre-authorization which means the insurance company will approve it, but they just needed to have the reason explained for the extended stay. I work for the government, and our company has a direct number to an agent at our insurance company. They said this case manger and her assistant are very much aware of how the process works because I have been there before longer than this time and besides, this is done all the time with this facility and they couldnt understand why they were coming to my hospital bed telling me that. She told me to get a copy of the letter theyre looking⁹ at and take a picture and send it to her. I told the caseworkers assistant what the insurance company said and she just kept standing saying "oh thats not what it said". She said that like 6 times, as if she wanted me to say ok and pack up and leave. When I ask her to show me a copy of what she and the caseworker was reading, she left my room and I never heard anything else about it. Thats the only issue I see with this facility. If you have an issue, the manager will call you and handle it in a very professional way. I didnt get her name, but good job to the supervisor. I really appreciate your kindness! Very unprofessional work by the case worker. The Dr said he would give me pain medication for 1 week until I can get an appt with the pain management clinic. The Dr comes in the room and speaks very quicky and he departs very quickly so if you have questions, you better hurry up and ask them. I had to get help from another hospital. I got the app for the pain management clinic, but he only gave me medication for 3 days and then I ran out. I call the case worker, and she immediately answered my call and said she will send the Dr a message and she said she will give me a call back later that day on Monday 11/13/2023. She never called me back. I tried calling her for 4 days straight and I left a message each time I called. She stop answering her phone for me and she never return any of my calls. I also call the front office and was told someone will call me back and no one has called back even until this day. They dont care if you are in pain or need help. They will only be nice to you while youre admitted to their facility. Once you leave they never want to answer any other questions. I am still looking up information and researching emails and phone numbers of how to get this to a higher management team. The case worker also said she will have a Walker delivered to my house because I cant walk. That never happened as well. So, I was released and still cant walk. I guess no one will ever call unless Im late on giving them their money. Some of the nurses are very passionate about their job, and they work very hard, and the others are just there to collect a paycheck. Some of them gets upset if you call them to many times (2 times is to many for them) because either they are sleep or outside smoking. The wound team is the best team ever! Very nice, intelligent, and patient. They work very hard!!!

Em Worst continuing care facility to have a loved one at the case managers are not helpful. They will talk down on your family when you are not around and then lie about it when you confront them. The drs are not compassionate and I was told my family member would get better care somewhere else according to the attending physician. Like he told me he wouldn’t treat a patient any way that he wouldn’t treat his family and he was against releasing my family member. He had case managers in his ear telling them the patient had to be released all due to no insurance. There was much more physical therapy needed to help my family member progress but they gave up. They didn’t want to change the wound said once a week which is gross. Which was true they kicked my family member out the door. They bladder trained for one morning and left in the catheter to be kept in and hopefully changed in a month somewhere else they didn’t want to help remove it didn’t want to help heal my family member. The pressure ulcer that incurred was unstageable and I was informed by Dr Simon they have many patients there with stage 4 bed sores. They send patients home like that without proper home care. I’m sure the people here will deny it all just don’t trust them. My family member went without eating because the nurses didn’t have time to help do anything. The facility has so many traveling nurses from different states they even told me the hospital was a joke. My family member was malnourished when released. Took them to a different hospital immediately after they kicked them out. The other hospital said the malnourishment was bad. I’m glad I got care for them elsewhere if not I’m sure they would have probably not been alive today.

Zoe J Wasted my little sister’s time and money by switching her provider last minute to one who was unqualified and therefor unable to provide the screening and services she made the appointment for. She took off work and lost money all to pay a copay for an appointment that got her nowhere, except for more appointments and more co-pays.

Jordan Hager I’m over this place. My son needs allergy injections twice a month now(at least it’s not twice a week anymore) but they have changed the walk in injections to appt only and now I cannot get an appt made for him on time! There is no availability for him to get a shot every other week!! What if he was still needing twice a week?!? It’s messing him up with his shots! And when they do end up making the appts at the office they’re off by 2-3 days so we end up going backwards! This is insane!! I have asked for multiple appts and they can only give him times available even if it’s not in his time frame. Also, the communication within is AWFUL! I have had nothing but issues, ESP since they did away with walk in appts.

Shirley White As you can see this photo shows the front of the building where you enter. Notice I saw no number on the building, so I went inside to ask, is this Endocrinology, she said yes. The outside of building says Internal Medicine but Endricrology is exactly next door, just make 10 steps to the counter on the left and you got it. They are side by side, Internal Medicine is 1st counter when you walk in door, Endocrinology is 10 steps to the left of 1st counter. Very simple. You find it real easy, take 31st street to Avenue R (turn at red light on Ave R), drive to the building in front of you, park and go in. Very convenient Parking. Also you notice Pharmacy right next door to entrance. REMEMBER AT THE FRONT DOOR YOU WILL SEE INTERNAL MEDICINE ONLY, BUT ENDRICROLOGY IS INSIDE THE FRONT DOOR ALSO.

Sylvia House IMO even with an appt I was not treated more than a number at this convenient care clinic. The nurse spent more time listening to me than the doctor did. That’s why this gets 2 stars. Even with me being off the charts on mental health issues and have just had been in the ER bc of a mental crisis and so I brought it up as a concern. A major one and all I got was “I will not be treating that today”. I immediately disassociated and all I got was a “I’m sorry you’re going through this”. I couldn’t wait to leave. She kept bringing up one of my medications I take for mental health as if it’s relative to how I’m treating my pain too. It was all over the place and very confusing. She clearly wanted to be in and out of there. I was prescribed prednisone for some chest pain I’m experiencing. I went for answers no tests done just written off as costochondritis anyways for my pain. But I cannot take that rn as I cannot eat due to anxiety. I have CPTSD. Panic disorder. And BPD. And was told if I don’t eat with it it can cause a hole in my stomach. Yet not willing at all to help me with anxiety so I can eat at least till I could see my psyche. I was very fortunate to get my psyche appt tomorrow at 11 am. I called as soon as I left this place. Got very lucky. Next time I won’t make the same mistake. I already had this “appt” scheduled at S&W and wanted to bring up my er visit here first. I was considering this place for a PCP but after this experience I am afraid I will not be heard. Felt very much like cattle going through this place. Idk what’s the point in asking mental health specific question when if and when you’re off the charts the doctor doesn’t care. I drove 40 minutes I do not live in town. And waited days for this appointment patiently. And it was 1000% a waste of my time. Ntm a bit traumatizing. I’ve never experienced such bad lack of care for someone you know is actively suffering. And how dumb it is to prescribe that someone something that can potentially harm them bc of the mental issues they’re experiencing. So I did not pick up the prescription. Also they need to make it more clear as I was under the impression I would be seeing and getting set up with a PCP as that’s what their website mentioned. No it’s less than an urgent care clinic. They did less than the urgent care clinic did for me a week earlier. No PCP set up for two weeks. Will not be back here will likely be looking at ascension for PCP care.

Moni Zam The two stars are not for the clinic but for the receptionist Monifa. When I called today I just wanted a status on if my doctor had sent over my prescription(I have been waiting a week for him to send it over to accredo.) I called Accredo last Wednesday and they received nothing. so I called S&w temple the same day and a receptionist left a message. I got no response. Today I called back early this morning and the receptionist left a high priority message and said I would get a call back. I didn’t. But when I called to make sure it was sent over I spoke with Monifa, she was rude. All I wanted to know was the status because I’m starting to feel the effects of missing a dose.

Christina Wilson I’ll give them 2 stars because I love my doctor. But Scott and white as a whole is a TERRIBLE healthcare system. Employees need more training. Patient relations takes no accountability. They don’t even return phone calls. They take your money and do not care about you one bit! Go somewhere else!

Michelle Anderson Providers are constantly changing. Shanna, prescription service coordinator is rude. Getting paperwork or call backs is impossible. The education level for their practitioners is pretty low.

Erica Patterson There is no healthcare continuity here. Providers change constantly. I’m so sick of BSW but they have essentially cannibalized local healthcare infrastructure. Your concerns are constantly dismissed because the ‘doctor’ you’re talking to has to run everything you say secondhand to their attending. If you get a doctor that actually listens, don’t get attached, they’ll be gone before you develop a rapport. You get conditioned to ignore your own issues when healthcare is made this big of a hassle. I’ve had 6-7 different doctors at this clinic. I’m over it.

Shavonne Busky This was my first and final time. My appointment was 3:40 they told me doc was running behind. I stayed until 5pm and never seen the doctor. I believe it was Dr.Thompson and this so unacceptable to have a new patient well any patient waiting that long w/o being seen.

Paula Herrin I have used this clinic for 6 or 7 years now. I have had bad and good visits. I know that the doctors are doing their best with the amount of people that go through their doors. I would like to see more follow up communications due to my referrals. I no that there available I just have not had any good experiences. Like i did not know that i had to follow up and call them myself. My daughter has and likes the place I do go with her so we can share a ride and or gas. Now from our Medicare drivers I love that at least me have that so we can make our appointments. Thank you Paula Herrin

Aspen Hubbard I would give zero stars if that was an option. This was hands down the WORST experience I have ever had with a doctor. She was dismissive about every single concern. She does not want to run any tests or find any answers, she wants to put a medicine band aid on everything. And when I told her that I felt like I was being blown off, she told me that I’m reacting this way because “I am off my meds”. I do not take any meds to be off of to begin with. The worst visit I have ever had, and always no real answers. Go anywhere else for help!!

Cilia Sanchez The doctor that I saw here didnt take my concerns seriously, Ill have to go to a REAL DOCTOR. I told you that my thyroid feels swollen since taking a new medication and the response was that its probably just allergies.

Craig Spiegel Waco family medicine Santa Fe on 25th Avenue is awesome place. Doctor Christopher d Vera helps me with all my needs he might be young but veryl very thoroughand doesnt watch the clock like its time to go if you want to start up a new Doctor and a great relationship, you could tell him anything. He is a awesome person and is gonna be my hospice, I have stage for kidney cancer, and I am blessed to be alive each and every day with 5 and a 1/2 years with no cancer pain. And with medicine of course, thank you, Baylor Scott, and white and thank you, God, Jesus, help me thank you so much.

Jacob Polasek Very rude staff almost feels like you are being judged when coming in for an appt. Very long wait time again and said “they couldn’t find my baby in the system” I’m not sure why. we were referred to them by our hospital I would never step foot in this place again.

Clare Stratmann Ive had Dr. Din as my primary physician for a few years now. Hes great! He always listens to me, explains clearly what is happening and what he recommends, and is thorough. Every time a friend who is new to the area asks about a good PCP, I recommend Dr. Din.

Susan Day Do not recommend. Ordered tests for things I do not have, and then "forgot" to order the test for my current condition, even though I asked about it. Prescribed new medicine that came with huge warning about potential suicide, suicidal thoughts - which I found out from the packaging, because those possible side effects were never discussed with me.

Donna DeGrazier Dr Din is interested only in himself. His patients come second. He refused to refill my prescription that I needed for my pain. It didnt matter how badly I hurt.

Cat LeLeux I had my first surgery yesterday. All the staff were amazing! They were very attentive and answered all my questions. I felt comfortable and the facility is very clean. The level of care I experienced was very uplifting and appreciated. They really do take care of their veterans. I feel very fortunate.

S.E. Isaac Overall, its really good. Whenever I do have a problem, I go to patient advocacy, and they handle the problem immediately.

Blanca I made an attempt to reach out today to reschedule my appointment for labs. The individual who answered the phone informed me that rescheduling must be done through my designated team. While I understand the protocol, it seems a bit cumbersome. Furthermore, I was advised that when rescheduling my appointment with my PCP, I should also request new lab work to be submitted. This procedure appears to be a bit inefficient and does not optimize the process for veterans. It is somewhat confusing why there is a separate department for labs if appointments and rescheduling cannot be handled through them. This system may be counterproductive and lead to a loss of valuable time.

J C The NICEST and most kind Emergency Room staff I have ever encountered at a VA Hospital. When I say they go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and show sincere compassion, I mean it! Restoring my hope in the VA healthcare system. ❣️

Stephanie Dempsey We are from out of town and took our infant daughter here for emergency care late at night and they were absolutely wonderful. She had to experience a quite unpleasant procedure of a cathider and they gave her a toy for being such a trooper. The nurses and doctors and specialists are all amazingly kind and super caring. I would highly recommend them to any and everyone. Just wish they were in our home town. Thank you everyone for such an amazing job and for taking such care of my baby girl. I can tell the all enjoy their jobs and love helping children. Amazing, amazing place. 5 stars all the way across.

Paul Marshall Thomas My 3 week old son was transported to the childrens hospital from BS&W in College Station, from the second I got to the ER after my wife and the ambulance beat me to Temple they were the absolute best. They did their best to get him into surgery as early as possible and was very quick to keep us updated on when he went to surgery and when he came out of surgery and into a room. We were there a bit over 24 hours from the time he arrived with my wife in the ambulance to the time he was discharged after his surgery. In that time frame every nurse and doctor was very kind and gentle with him, and went out of their ways to ensure me and my wife were also comfortable during our short stay.

Kameron Medina Genuinely if I could give this hospital no stars I would, but that’s not an option. Several years ago I brought my son but we ended up leaving after sitting in the ER for 6 hours. I took him to a different ER and he was back within 45 minutes. This time around I brought my son in because he was actively having back to back seizures, loosing concussions, etc. we told the ladies at the front desk and even the triage ladies noted this as they seen it too. I even got information from my son’s school in regards to it and everyone at his school stated they believed it was also a seizure due to how he was acting. Why on earth did it take almost 3 hours in the waiting before they took him back? The other people around us all told us they simply brought their children in because they were sick. I’m absolutely disgusted with the fact that the front desk ladies and triage nurses ALL seen that my son was clearly having an emergency and left us sitting in the waiting room for 3 hours? What if it got worse? How are you going to be labeled an emergency room but then not tend to literal emergencies being brought in? We probably would have been better off staying on post and going to darnall and they almost let my other son die. Do better!

Mae If you want your child to live go elsewhere!!! Took my child in for out of control pain and vomiting. No fever upon arrival, swollen jaw/neck. They got us back fairly quickly and to a room. Took over an hour to medication in the meantime my child kept vomiting and complaining of pain. They completed blood work, ct with contrast. We were told everything was normal and we were being discharged. Vital signs and has/neck swelling all increased. No one cared!!! The discharge nurse had the audacity to say you’re discharged. But if you feel the need to follow your mom gut you can go check back in. And continued to stare down my child and I. He had a fever and lower oxygen saturation upon discharge. He had enough medication for pain/fever reducing medication that he should not have had a fever in any way. His PCP, and now surgeon are very upset that we were dismissed without concerns. When in fact the CT was abnormal. I am on top of my child’s health and they dismissed us like we were frequently flyers and drug seekers. This was his second visit to the ER in this entire life!

Nishanth Varma Took sick kids for walk in at the clinic in morning around 11.30 Am and they said walk ins dont start until 1 Pm. so I went back again at 12.45 PM and waited for 15 mins since they said it would be first come and first serve basis. I only had one person in front of the me on the queue who also looked like a walk in since they were waiting there. Soon after I checked in the person in front of me went in with their Kid . After that Many parents went in with their kids which i thought could be regular appointment. But then few patients I could make that they were not having regular appointments and could be walk ins went in and i went a checked with front desk and that when they infirmed the provider was busy until 3 and cannot accommodate walk ins until 3 PM. I think its should at least be a nice behavior on hospital part to at least patients know that there is delay rather than making them wait. If we had not asked for the update we would be sitting there until that time with Kids being hungry.. Certainly not a very welcome gesture.. have had a lot of bad experience in past 3-4 years with Scott and White... Just Money Mongers.. no true service providers... every time i go there the experience is getting worse...
