Hana Salameh Sigma Home Health took care of my mother when she had knee replacement. They were able to make her walk within 3 weeks. the Nurses were fantastic as they visited twice a week to do lab testing for hear blood thinner and change the wound dressing. The Nurse aid came 3 times to bathe my mom and take care of her hygiene, she did the bed and made sure it was fresh and clean. the receptionist was awesome, she always connected me with the nurse and the director if needed to answer any question. I have previous experiences with other home health agencies in Galveston when my dad was sick before he passed and I can attest that Sigma and its staff unlike any other agencies provided the top notch care my mother deserves without looking at how much time they spend at the home or on the phone. I recommend Sigma to any family taking care of their loved ones.

Lisa Carman I walked into the affinity clinic being a tourist in Galveston. Was ill with a sinus infection and far from home. I was greeted warmly and promptly by the front desk. The nurse took me back and the doctor was at the door quickly. They listened to me closely , assessed my condition and offered me a an immediate plan. I’m very grateful for efficient, prompt and positive care. Felt better within 24 hours. I recommend this clinic 100% and more!

Ashley Hodge Hands down the best urgent care I have ever been to!! Every single person on their staff is extremely kind and helpful. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. I can not say enough great things about this place. I unfortunately had to visit an urgent care while I was visiting Galveston for work, and I had such a pleasant experience I will debate driving all the way from Houston the next time I am sick just to go to Affinity Care

LaTayne Rothman I am traveling. I developed abdomen pain and a cough and cold. The staff was fabulous. So nice. Prompt. The PA came in and said, "You must go to the hospital ER because you will need a cat scan." Which we did. I had surgery that afternoon. Thank you for your prompt assessment and directions.

Starting with Nurse Patel handling pre registration and showing off his skills at " hitting that vein the first time". Very professional! Post surgery, we tested the patience of Night Nurse Petro. He handled us with much compassion and consideration! And Lucy, from the kitchen, deserves much more than an honorable mention!! From sandwiches to a breakfast fit for a king, shes the best! The entire staff made what could have turned out bad, a rather positive experience! Would definitely recommend this hospital and staff!! #5starservice #bestofcare

Nikki Mendez I was visiting the island on a mini vacation when my dog had persistent diarrhea despite all the usual measures. I thankfully called this clinic near our air bnb and they were able to work my 13 year old dog in to the schedule. The clinic is so cute and located in a beautiful house. It felt very home-like. The staff were very personable. Dr. Fistein came to evaluate my pup and provided the appropriate recommendations. Once labs and sample were back, she provided my dog with 3 pills and 6 cans of wet sensitive stomach dog food. She gave her the first round of antibiotics there. Literally, they worked immediately and only had one accident the next 24hrs and nothing no accidents since. Dr. Fistein is very knowledgeable and I wish I lived closer to make her my dogs’ main vet. She is thorough and prices are very reasonable. She saved my pet from further discomfort, helped us enjoy the rest of our vacation and provided us with an uneventful trip home. As an adult healthcare provider, I was very impressed by my whole experience and could tell Dr. Fistein and her office are top notch! Thank you again!

Crystal Rodriguez They always take care of our fur babies and treat them well. They saved my daughters cat before they even opened up for business. They actually care about their clients.

Pamela Moore There are not enough stars in the sky to say how thankful I am for the staff at this clinic. My boy Bodee had a mass growing in a very serious area. On in removal could have left him paralyzed or incontinent. The staff and vet were very attentive to my Bodacious Bodee and his nervous ninny Mom. They called me to give me updates. They ALL are wonderful, from the registration, to the techs, to my wonderful Vet. I highly recommend them. My boy is happy and smiling. I am forever grateful to them for what they did for us.

nick fontana Our dog fell from a deck and shattered his femur. We were a few blocks away from The Animal Clinic and rushed there to find out they were closed, but Dr. Lea Fistein agreed to treat him and pretty much saved his life and leg. They were able to stabilize him for transport to overnight ER in League City, then treated him the next day. He was able to recover enough for surgery the next week. The entire staff was very professional and we are much appreciative of their effort to save our dog.

Brian Boyd The staff was very professional and polite. Intake for my appointment was smooth and thoughtful using the portal to Identify me, this really sped up the process! I saw my Doctor for the first time today and I felt so comfortable! Thank you all for making a normally skiddish patient comfortable! I look forward to my next appointment!

Doris Hurd The Services are very good in person but if you try to call thats a different story. You will not be able to get intouch with a live person. When you leave a message no one calls you back. I have been out of one of my medications for a month. I left a message 4 days ago and still no response. I just sent a message on my chart and will see how that goes.

Larry McGalin I stayed for two nights following extensive knee surgery. The staff was very nice and supportive and I was well took care of. The most stunning variable other than the patient supports, was the food. It was like dining at a club or resort. Compared to facilities Ive been to, night and day difference for the positive.

Karen Mac I have no complaints about. Staff are awesome. Dr McCann is awesome. He is very pleasant and talks straight about what he believes the outcome will be and how it works. He doesnt rush off and asks if I have any questions or concerns. The OR is clean and thats major for me. The OR team works like a well oiled machine with everyone saying what they are doing, whats needed and no one is standing around. Each nurse (about 7) are all pleasant to each other. I have favorites, but they are all great.

Mike Giardina Everything went as scheduled. All of the staff was welcoming and professional. Each step of the process was explained and the nurses and therapists took their time and made sure I was comfortable. Even the gentleman who transported me to the car took the time to show us the best way to enter and exit the vehicle. Very pleased with the overall experience.

Mary W Staff was helpful, efficient and always answered any questions in a timely fashion. They checked on me frequently. They all asked and confirmed the surgery prior to going to the OR. Jas SBG For the second time I’ve been told I’ll receive a call back to follow up with questions I have in regards to my child’s care and no one followed up. This is very frustrating due to the fact that my baby is experiencing discomfort in the process of waiting to hear back from the receptionist. The doctor is great however the receptionist are very irresponsible and unprofessional.

kennie mata Not informative at all. I brought my son whom was sick and all they did was tell me he was negative for rsv. No tips on what I should and should not do. They were more worried about pressing me on getting him vaccines. The assistants were very nice as well as front desk that’s probably the only positive thing I could say.

Sherry Li Ive taken my daughter to this location for care over the year but the office is extremely irresponsible in terms of completing and sending doctor notes and doctor assessments to my day care. Ive been told when I go in-person that theyll send the paperwork, only to learn Im currently out of compliance with my daycare because no one sent anything. I called the office multiple times and either no one knew what I asked for or no one answered. Its been over 3 months now dealing with this doctors office, avoid at all cost.

(201) Reviews Kindred Hospital Clear Lake:

Cathy Yao Kindred was very good at taking care of my father after going through a heart attack, cardiac arrest, and a stroke. He was bedridden and put on a ventilator while in shock trauma for over a month, but we were at Kindred for about three weeks and they were able to wean him off the ventilator and get him back on his feet. The nurses and respiratory/physical therapists there are very nice and helpful and the food is also very good quality. I would highly recommend this hospital for your loved ones to get better.

Denise Duffy Overall an excellent experience. Professional and compassionate nursing staff. Most notable: Blondell, and Liana. High quality therapy services. Most notable: Annalise and Sophia (range of motion), Jessica (speech therapy) and Tanya (occupational therapy). We experienced stays of one week in the High Observation Unit (HOU) and two weeks in the medical surge area of the Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) center at Kindred Clear Lake. We appreciated the opportunity to meet with the care management team for the weekly discussion. Sarah G in Care Management was very helpful. One area that needs work is discharge coordination and planning. Remember that while you may do this every day, for families it is all new and pretty traumatic. Present timely options and a three day departure planning and coordination list with workable steps to help structure the transition, and ensure that the family representative understands and supports the plan. For example, I was first told on the day of the planned transition that it was to occur, so I indicated concerns with inconsistent messaging from medical staff that my wife was not ready for the transition and that I would likely appeal the decision. The transition slipped two days. Then, on the day of the planned move, Mary handed me a slip of paper with a number to call the ambulance and informed me that Medicare would not cover the cost. When I pressed, it turned out that it was covered and would be handled by Kindred. One other suggestion: Track response time to instances of INITIAL response time to any patient/rep pressing the nurse call button and track response CLOSE OUT time. These two metrics, alone, should improve care further. Still, in all, an excellent experience.

Hilda Garza This is my second time at Kindred in Clear Lake Hospital. I didn’t put a review last time I was here (So, I wanted to be sure to do it this time. Staff is GREAT! ( staff from both times I was admitted here) A special thank you to Nurses Jennifer K.,Maria, Rod and Sharon, Cheron,Jennifer B. and Cora, CNAS Victor, Christina S., Bertha, Cathy, and newly on board Willie, ALL WOUND CARE staff, Therapy department, Shannon, Safire, Annalise, Sophie, Ryleigh and Eudell from HBO. The care given to me was on point, and therapist working with me was great. The first time I came, I hadn’t been out the bed in 6+ months. Shannon said “You’re getting in one of our chairs today.” I cried as soon as she left the room, because I was so happy. Dr. Yerramahda listens to what you’re saying, and makes its his goal to making you feel better. So, a big thank you to him also. Case worker had great communication with me about discharge dates both times. Kindred at Clear Lake, is a great place to have your loved one at.

S. Maria (Meme) Review from a patients loved ones point of view: I almost rated 4 due to a few bad apples however I rather focus on the positive so here goes my list of caregivers that went above and beyond for my loved one. Mrs. Sherry RN - ABSOLUTELY THE BEST RN EVER!!! She is the prime example of what every patient wants, expects and needs in a nurse: she takes pride in herself & her work, she is loving, patient, caring, takes her time while being fast and efficient, she listens to her patients, and just overall the best nurse ever!!! Mr. Troy RN- This man here!! Is a complete and total LIFESAVER and another prime example of what ever person wants and needs in a caregiver, he is always smiles, definitely listens and acts FAST!! Mr. Rod RN- When you need to be lifted up Mr. Rod is the nurse you didn’t know you needed! Mrs. Jennifer RN- Fast & efficient, explains everything she is giving and doing to/with your loved one, so every informative and helpful. MRS. CHRISTINA CNA DAY TECH- This CNA tech is one I would literally pray for! Another PRIME example of what amazing healthcare looks like. She is one of the very few techs that will take the time to give her patients the full care they need, always with a smile, sweet voice, and loving towards her patients, she is always cleaning her rooms, turning and changing her patients and she actually takes the time to give her patients a full tube bath not just those sad little wipe down disposal wipes bath, and she is always so fast to answer when her patients hit that nurses button. Mrs. Cathy CNA Tech- another tech that is always actually turning and cleaning her patients as they need, always with a smile and always so loving and carrying another prime example of the type of caregiver one would pray for while in a hospital. Mrs. Jackie CNA night Tech- Always smiling, always willing to help and fast to answer that call button and she never makes you feel like a burden but more like a friend. Mrs. Nelly CNA day Tech- ALWAYS A RAY OF SUNSHINE working with a smile taking care of her patients. Mr. Víctor CNA night Tech- always smiling with a great attitude on life in general! Mrs. Deb & Michael with Respiratory- always so happy and ready to pass out joy all while actually doing their job! Mrs. Lauren with imaging and there is a man that does X-Rays but I can’t remember his name- but both in Imaging are so amazing always smiling and so caring, truly amazing people. Mrs. Shannon and ALL OF THE PHYSICAL THERAPY TEAM- now this group here no matter where in the building you run into them at, they are ALL SMILES and always uplifting and attentive, if I ever had a concern with my loved ones mobility I knew I needed to speak with Mrs. Shannon. Mrs. Paris and All of The Dialysis Team are all so loving, caring and understanding. Mrs. Jessica with Speech Therapy - Another prime example of great healthcare and what a wonderful laugh that just brings joy all over the hospital. All of the Kitchen/Cafeteria downstairs and Janitorial Staff- EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE PEOPLE TAKE COMPLETE PRIDE in their work, always smiling and making everyone feel like family they do not only do their job but they take the time to make sure the patient and their loved ones are good. Oh and let’s not forget the Amazing Receptionists that welcome you at the very beginning AMAZING JOB!!! As with every place you go you have a few bad apples that are only there for a paycheck and it’s noticeable but if you ever have a real problem just ask for the charge nurse Mrs. Pauline and she will definitely take care it.

David McGrath Could have sworn I already gave Kindred Clear Lake a review, but looks like I havent. Did a quick cursory tour of Kindred Clear Lake and two other secondary care hospitals as we had a VERY negative experience with the Kindred Hospital on the Beltway. Clear Lake appeared to be the best of the three so we went with them aft6er discussing my concerns with Sarah (Patient Relations). She assured me they would take care of the wife. Wife was in for a month and then in another month, I wound up there. Both of us had been intubated, then trachs, in ICU for a month, then transferred here. I pretty much stayed around the clock when the wife was in due to her medical history. Over all the nurses and PCAs were great, a couple were lacking in performing their duties, but over all great! Charge nurses and Jennifer really need to reevaluate giving patients ice chips when the patient has a trach - they are dying of thirst and the sponge q-tips do not touch it. Need to try and be more aggressive weaning people off the pureed garbage and chopped food ASAP as both look more like dog bark and taste it as well... When I was in, I was pretty well incapacitated; nurses, PCAs (Rena is the BEST!), respiratory (Michael, Deborah & Evelyn) and physical therapists were Cadillacs. Meagan was outstanding, but hear she is no longer there... Needless to say both of us had to learn how to talk and walk again; therapy did all they could to get us up and running again. Thanks to all of you!

My Doctor , Anesthesiologist ,Nurse were awesome throughout even at the surgery area along with the operation staff explaining the procedure. My doctor was wonderful . He showed compassion bc i was nervous and I knew then, I would be in great care and safe. All went well , thanks to the professional friendly staff. Whitney Robertson I saw a UTMB vascular surgeon recently to discuss the outcome of an Ultra sound procedure done the day before and get some ideas about my options. The procedure could not have gone better, very friendly and professional. The doctors visit was fine with staff but the doctor seemed like he needed to get done with me. He did not explain much at all, did not show me any of my own results. He said one leg had some vascular issues he could address surgically and the other was fine. This does not explain both hurting the same way and fatiguing so fast when I walk distances. He suggested thigh high compression stockings all the time and a pump that I could use several times a day for an hour at a time. Well, I live in Texas, and I have a life and go places. I cant imagine wearing compression stockings all the time in the Texas heat and I cant just sit down and do nothing for 2-3 separate hours each day. I feel like he treated me like a house bound hospice patient. Maybe I am over reacting but I really felt like he was not speaking to my situation and that he couldnt wait to be done and leave the room.

I wish the doctor had prescribed me cough medicine or the small yellow transparent pill I had been prescribed before, and it worked, calming my cough, especially at night. Everyone in the clinic was very nice and caring, so this is my go-to urgent care with my mom and sister when we need urgent care. Ann Volkots My husband received the best care. All of the nurses were very empathetic and caring. He passed away this morning of stage 4 lung cancer. The staff made him as comfortable as they could and helped him pass away peacefully. The staff was also very caring towards me and my daughters. This hospital really provides exceptional care

SHANNON BANTNER I was recently admitted through the emergency room at St. Lukes Pasadena. Dr. Sweet, and my nurses Stephenie and Rob were amazing! Not only was I seen almost immediately, I have never had an ER experience where the staff was so attentive. Then, after being admitted, each nurse, tech, and doctor I saw for the next 3 days was so helpful and kind. The facility was clean, and rooms are spacious and private. Highly recommend St. Lukes in Pasadena!

steve honring I very much wish I got the names of all the nurses and other professionals that set me up for my procedure. Waiting rooms feel like a lifetime in any establishment but this facility was quick and didn’t seem to let policy stand in the way of service. There was so much evidence of common sense and empathy that is all but regulated out of most facilities. I was in and out kept comfortable in recovery and absolutely loved how the staff addressed me.. I felt like a human being for the first time in a decade. Left with all the information I needed and they even called me a day or two later seemingly just to check in. I know it’s probably a policy but they didn’t make it feel impersonal.

mamitas life If I could give this hospital a zero i would. This hospital is horrible. My mother was transferred there from another hospital because they had no beds. She was brought in to the 1st hospital by an ambulance. Her blood sugar was 328 and her stomach and legs and ankles and feet were super swollen and she couldnt walk and couldnt hold food down. At the 1st hospital they said she has decompensated cirrhosis with ascit and her blood levels were low and they gave her 2 blood transfusions . When she gets to this hospital they treat her for stomach pain and that is it and give her 1 blood transfusion but they cant find where the blood is going because her blood count never goes up . This hospital never treated her for her liver never addressed that issue. The attending was Abid Faroog he is not a good doctor and the hospital is dirty and nasty . Never take anyone you care about to this hospital. The pictures online must be old because it doesnt look anything like that.

Celeste Torres My father was admitted into the hospital for heart surgery, Monday, Feb 3rd, 2025. The surgeon who performed his surgery failed to tell any of his children of a heart attack occurring while in surgery. The surgery details were unclear and all children (his siblings as well) were left to wonder what condition he was in, if the surgery was successful, or if he was going to need further medical treatment. My father was placed in ICU after surgery in which all family members waiting to see the performing doctor come in and speak over the treatment and care plan. The floor doctor came in and shared very little news with the family, leaving more questions than answers. On Friday, Feb 14th, my father took his first small walk with PT, where he became without breath and needing to sit with oxygen. By 3pm Friday, my father was released from the hospital all together. They prescribed him medication and was told the pharmacist would go over how to take the medications. My father went back to the hospital Sunday, Feb 9th due to chest pain he had been experiencing over the weekend. The admitted him back into ICU, said their was inflammation around his heart, further stating they were negligent in releasing him so quickly. Tuesday, 11th of Feb, the hospital released my father again even with his chest still in pain. The gave him another medication and sent him home. Mind you my father’s heart had a clogged artery at 99%. This information provided after surgery. The doctors assured us with the stent placement the clot would heal on its own. This facility needs serious inspection and the doctors need to be investigated for negligence.

Rachel DiBenedetto The nursing staff in recovery were remarkable. Especially Laura who went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed when my check out was delayed. Everything went well and it was a great day, minus my oxygen level sinking and delaying our departure. Despite that Laura made my day a great one even with just having surgery.

Terry Oldies I want to give a shoutout to the staff at SJH for the wonderful care they gave me prior to and after my recent back surgery. Prior to surgery, Athena in pre admission was wonderfully kind and helpful (and efficient!) at getting my work up done and answering all my questions and calls, always with a smile. Following surgery my nurses were very helpful and kind, treating me as their own family member. We had a VERY loud patient on our floor, and my nurse moved me to another room, never once acting as if it was the slightest bother! High five to my 5th floor nurses, Bernadette, Nelly and Erica! You made a world of difference in my stay there! (The only reason for the 4 was the broken hospital bed I was moved to—still better than the screaming patient, and the yicky food. And I actually usually like hospital food!!)

Traveling Hope We came to apply for passports. The building was easy to find, plenty of free parking, and easy to find the passport office. The lady who helped us was knowledgeable and efficient. We were in and out way faster than I could have imagined!

Valerie Nolen I have gone up to the courthouse multiple times and they just seem to enjoy closing without informing anybody. I can understand them being closed today but there’s nothing about it on their website or on the answering message……and you can see in the picture that they didn’t even post anything on the doors. There were multiple people there today and quite a few of them had to take off of work, to be there, so they missed work for nothing. Respect is a two-way street!!!!

Moi Nevarez I been trying to get my Passport for the last few days in different offices, all of them ask you to make an appointment. I showed up to the one in Pasadena Blvd in Pasadena without it, they werent busy but they couldnt take my paperwork, because "you need an appointment". I left and came directly to this office, what a difference! These ladies were very nice, prompt, to the point, fast, very efficient and it seems like they like what they do. Even though, they are under construction, they manage to provide great service. I was very pleased with the whole experience.

petethemedic Employers, dont let employees come here. Friends dont let sick friends come here. I had far too many problems to list at this place. And all I needed was a preemployment drug test. Dont. Just dont. Zero minus stars.

Danny Martinez This is my 3rd time coming here to do blood work. 1st time, I was a walk in customer and told them I needed blood work that was order from my dermatologist. I did all the new patient paper work. As Im going in, the nurse was the same receptionist but I didnt mind. At first she was looking for a good vein to draw blood but could not find it in my 2 arms. So what she did was poke me on my veins on my hand. That was very painful and she could not find what so ever. She gave me water to drink and told me that would help me with my veins to show up. She poke me twice that day and told to come back the next day to see if that might help. Came the next day, she looked and try real hard to feel some vein and then poke me and she nailed it. Today was the third time to do blood work. There was a new receptionist and the older lady which I think she is a chiropractic doctor. I went in and she looked at my both arms and said that my veins dont showed and she told me shell warm my arm with an electric warmer so they can show up. 5 minutes pass as she came and poke me and missed. Try again and missed. She told me she could not find my veins and showed me hers that hers showed. She referred me to another clinic in Texas City but just thought to let you know this has being the only place in my entire life( Im 49 yrs old) that happen to me. They need experts, I felt that I was treated like I was the problem, even though they were friendly. Be aware of this if your veins dont showed to easily.

Jasmine Jones I was recommended this place by a local institution to complete pre-employment drug screening. Before drug testing, I asked on 3 separate occasions would a certain drug be tested and they reassured me 3 separate times that it would be. I received my results and that drug was indeed not tested. In fact, no one in the office seems to understand or know any medical science let alone which panel tests which drug and how each are metabolized. Needless to say, I had to find somewhere else that was a bit more sophisticated to complete my screening. What a waste of time and $$. The office administration needs more schooling. It’s frustrating that these are healthcare workers with minimal medical knowledge.

DEE DEE I never thought that I would post reviews or make comments about an establishment. But I can honestly say that my experience there was the best I have ever had visiting a doctor office. I went in super nervous but both ladies made me feel welcomed. The assistant personality was second to none. Doctor was pleasant as well. I told them when I was leaving that the assistant was the diamond of that establishment. Keep up the great work ladies...

Alois Schmoller Dr. Lori Antman likely saved my life. She made me get a basic blood test when the adjusting didnt work as well as she thought. Found some stuff, scheduled me for an MRI, which led to real cause of pain. Then she helped me get into MdAnderson for treatment. And no, I dont have insurance and she didnt make a lot of money on me. She is just a caring person that pays attention to her patients. The only doctor I will ever go to, and her staff is just as great, never had a bad visit.
