ABEL PEREZ I am a seizure patient who just recently experienced my 7 seizure in this hospital over a couple years and have always been taken care of. But not today. No one wanted to get me the pain medication for this extreme pain of a seizure. Instead, they gave me beefed up Tylenol and it didn’t even touch the pain. Finally, as I’m laying in bed, a rude black lady walked in the room and demanded I pay before I left. She was incredibly rude and could give zero empathy about my condition. I wish I wasn’t stuck at this hospital because of insurance.

William Weatherholt I was cared for by Emma. She was very attentive and listened to my concerns. She took the time to build a strong comfortable brace for me. When I needed it adjusted she was very supportive and accommodating. Great job.

crystol woodfin Amazing staff, especially Kevin who not only got my iv with one stick which is a feat in itself, the way he helped me remain amazing calm and was efficient and professional as while administering a contrast ct scan; from which I had a horrible experience with just a few days before was amazing. He return to me my peace with having procedures like this done and reminded me how overlooked and under appreciated this type of personal can be. He had a great personality professional and efficient. Good not give enough stars. Thank you Thank you.

Crystal Plasencio I checked in January 14, 2025 I didn’t get the name of the doctor on duty that evening unfortunately. I am mostly distraught about the brief encounter I had with him. Took my infant in only because I got referred by another doctor, they felt like since they had a pediatric unit that it would be the best for my baby. Once I met the ER doctor on site I asked him a question about what could be going on with my baby he was quick to respond with a condescending tone and response. He showed no concern for my situation they paid little attention to us as well. He seemed very annoyed unhappy and bothered. I regret ever walking into north west hospital. I have great insurance that allows me to go anywhere in this town. So if I’m paying him why so disrespectful? Why treat paying patients like they are beneath you? To top off the situation he never made it back to our room after waiting several hours with a small infant to update us on anything. But he did have time to hang around the halls visiting with his coworkers. I hate this hospital and the way they have treated me anytime I have ever had to check in with them. They are disgusting filthy unprofessional place. It smelled terrible inside from the moment you walk in. Once they tried to take vitals all of there equipment was broken.

Matthew Tate 09/22/22 - Had an appointment with the pulmonary clinic today. As with every time Ive come to this VA hospital for care, I received nothing but the best care ever. The attitude of the staff - from the providers, to the support staff, from housekeeping to the people behind the grill in the canteen - has been positive, caring, and helpful. The love and compassion veterans get here is simply amazing, and it all starts at the top. VERDICT: ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CARE AND PEOPLE ANYWHERE. I WISH I COULD VOTE 10 STARS!

Hannah Bandy I am a veteran and I worked at the Va and was verbally and physically harassed and the gentleman got away with it. If you were a female and did something wrong you were written up but if you were a male and did something wrong you were not. I turned my claim in but nothing happened to the gentleman. I am not happy and still not. Something needs to be done. I am posting this under my daughters profile. It is shameful how I was treated and they should be held accountable for their actions. If I could I would give them a negative score because of this because it was not fair how I was treated by anyone especially the chief of housekeeping Kathy O’Dell

William Eddington On Monday 9/11/2023 at 14:30 I had a very poor experience that lasted till 17:45. I’ve been having an ongoing problem with my feet with chronic pain and swelling. I’ve been working as a home caregiver for several weeks. My father is in home hospice and I’ve been unemployed for months due to my illness or injury. It took forever to get an appointment for many, many weeks. I also had come down with the Flu over the weekend from other family members and no one even took a chest x-Ray, nor did they listen to my chest, or prescribe me anything for the Flu. They never even examined my feet by having me remove my shoes or socks either. Beware to not ever fill anything out about anxiety or depression, because they will try to open Pandora’s box and make this appointment completely about mental health. It really never felt like they did a real examination. They did weigh me, and take my blood pressure, and temperature and that was pretty much the extent of the examination. What a horrible experience.

C M They say their there to help you but not true, like if they cant find out whats wrong after giving you different medications . Then when you call back to know your test results or your follow up with the Doctor. No one will call you back. Leaving a message with a nurse, or if you call to speak with the director she will not call you back either. So what does that tell you they dont care about you. For sure no communication and the clinic talks about helping the community .

Denna Lopez Best place I’ve been to.They are so nice. Don’t judge you for not having insurance. I was real was sick when I went over there the first time . They got me a doctor got on some medication and they found out I had to have surgery. No one wanted to help me cause of the no insurance situation. Hospital would tell no we can’t help until you find help. Went back to Heal the City and told them that everyone is telling me that my husband makes too much money and need to find help.Heal the City got me some help to get my surgery. Now I’m feeling better! Thank you Heal the City! Thank you for all your time and effort . I hate to go over there and see people disrespect them . This is a free clinic people!!! They will get you help. Just be patient. Don’t disrespect them they are lovely people.

Shay Hand The ER staff is phenomenal. I have not a single bad thing to say about them. However, Shirley on the 3rd floor is a terror to all of her staff if they don’t kiss her rings. Losing great employees, because of her napoleon complex; truly embarrassing. Firing nurses and techs, that actually do great work, go above and beyond for patients and other staff members, and care about their patients and families; is absolutely going to be detrimental to this hospital. Maybe reprimand your employees that are lazy, and refuse to help patients and coworkers. My family and I will now be using a different hospital, because how the “management”, treats the staff. Titles are nothing if you can’t treat your own coworkers with respect and dignity.

Leta Piedra I gave birth to my son on 12/13/2024, and I received the BEST care at BSA. - The best part of my stay was my nurse Shay (shae?) Smith! She made sure I wasn’t in pain, she had the anesthesiologist redo my epidural when the first one wasn’t working, she came in and had me switch positions consistently which made for a quick and painless labor! I pushed for about 20 - 30 minutes to get to crowning, and Shay (Shae) was so supportive the whole time! and I would not have had such an amazing experience without her! I would love to send her a gift soon, so if you see this nurse Shay (Shae), expect a reward soon for all the hard work and amazing care you provide !! Thank you so much BSA for giving me the best nurse in the L&D dept! -Before anyone says “that’s just how nurses are supposed to do their jobs”, I had MANY nurses during my stay, most were very nice and attentive but some barely checked on me. Shay/Shae made me feel comfortable and like she truly cared! She was made for this line of work!

Alexandra Gonzales I want to start by saying Dr. Stroud is amazing and his nurses are so kind and friendly. Do not walk into this office and expect to not pay your copay because they will embarrass you and refuse service. Here is some background- on 8/20 I paid $1550, this HALF of the bill that must be paid up front for my 9 month old daughter to get tubes put in her ears. She gets her tubes put in on 8/26- everything is great! Today, we go in for a follow up and I was told we have a $50 copay- I hand her my credit card and she proceeds to tell me they cant accept my card. I said "can you please bill me?" she proceeded to tell me "you have to pay today in order to be seen, can I use the card on file?" I explain I am a little short on cash after paying the $1550, can we please use my credit card, not the debit card on file? She then tells me "I can call billing but I doubt they will allow us to bill it" she picks up the phone and tells the lady in charge of billing "This has never happened before but the lady I am helping does not want to pay". I never said anything about not wanting to pay. She completely embarrasses me in front of about 8 people in the waiting room. The billing lady comes out and helps process my credit card payment and we can be seen. We finish with our appointment and when we are checking out they tell me they will be refunding my $50 payment because there is no copay on follow up appointments.

Bridgett Thomas Dr. Stroud was great. He answered my questions and didnt make me feel like my concerns were not anything to listen about. He listened, and he explained what could or could not be the problem. If you are in need of an Ear Nose and Throat specialist, I would definitely recommend Dr. Stroud.

Susie Fultz I was unable to get an appointment at this practice. Maybe because Im on Medicare. Last Dec. when I visited my sleep apnea doctor, she thought I would be a good candidate for the new Inspire treatment and recommended this office. They said I was not ready for Inspire but gave me no reason. This spring I have had several issues with my ears and sinuses and tried again to get an appointment. They asked for a referral but then said they never received it. I had my doctor resend it, and then they denied it. They provided no reason for the denial. After reading some other reviews, I am thankful they did not accept me. I will look elsewhere for my care.

Logan This place does not treat you well. They definitely care more about your money than your health. It is very apparent by their billing policies.

Jordan Guerra-Davis The staff here are very kind and welcoming. I never feel judged or like they think Im being dramatic. They always explain my options, take their time with me, and I dont feel rushed. Youre never in the waiting room long, but sometimes you have to wait a while to see the doctor once in the patient room, but thats most places and its because they dont rush when theyre with their patients. Sometimes youre in and out in a jiffy. Just depends on the day and season.

Chrystal Garza Doctor Lowry is the type of doctor that does not care to listen to his patience when it comes to their pain. In the middle of my last injections I told him it hurt and was getting worse yet he only addressed me to say stay still dont move.. As he continued to give them to me. Then for my second "trial blocker" shots I was crying my eyes out during and kept telling him it hurts so bad as the only " sedation" he gave me was the same exact amount as the last time which was like nothing it literally felt as if they only wiped my back with an alcohol pad to clean it and then proceeded to give me the shots in total I was given 12. I proceeded to cry is I went in with a pain level of 6 play came out with the pain level up 12. I continue to cry and was told he would come back and talk to me but he never did. So am I ride home to Lubbock all I could do was cry and then force myself to sleep just to subside the pain a bit. Was not even given any type of pain medicine to go home with. 10 out of 100 would not recommend this doctor for any shots on anyones back.

Gabe SF First visit today. All the nurses and person upfront were very nice and pleasant towards me. Started out feeling good about the visit. Then the doctor came in and things went south fast. Very rude uncaring demeanor and condescending nodding of the head. No hand shake or smiles. It obvious he did not read or go over my 16 pages I was told to complete before the visit. Just started off with bad bedside manors. It was sales sales sales for the Spinal Cord Stimulator after I said I was not interested in it...even sent in a "closer" to wrap the deal up after he left. This was my opinion on what was happening. I probably would have been more open to the procedure if he would have demonstrated some compassion. I am 100% rated disabled veteran...I have to use my private Healthcare because VA has canceled my appointments 3 times and I have been trying to get in for 6 months with them. Also the VA doesnt believe in pain management....so dont know what to do. Disgusted with VA and these folks. Stuck no where to go for help.

Kayla Chambers Hands down the best experience I’ve ever had with a physician. You can truly see how deeply Dr. Bradford cares for his patients. Sarah Brofft If i could leave 1000 stars i would! Dr. Bradford saw me as a new patient yesterday 06/22 and he is absolutely phenomenal i couldn’t say enough good words. he took the time to talk and understand my health history. he never made me feel rushed or as if i was a burden like my previous pcp! he made sure to walk me through my treatment plan and made sure i was comfortable in every aspect! i’m beyond happy with my decision on making him my primary care physician!

Leon The bad: Staff dont follow-up on calls, even when they say they will. Staff expect the patient to work with the pharmacy, not them. Staff will not get your meds or results to you in anything less than 3 weeks. Staff are completely disorganized, claim they didnt receive anything they specifically asked you to send them. The staff just flat out dont care about the patients and getting them what they need. The good: Dr. Ako Bradford is kind and understanding. He needs to realize his staff is failing his business, his image, and failing him in general.

Lee Harris Absolute worst front staff. Unprofessional and no follow-ups / communication. Spoke with the doctor about this and he was unaware at the time... Dont know if this was ever addressed. With all the issues we had with them not worth seeing a doctor that we believed in that seemed very knowledgeable. Total nightmare dealing with them including having appointments scheduled on days they were off (no apologies when we told them we came up there and they were gone), prescriptions not turned in, recommended to visit a surgeon in another city when we had plenty here, just an all around bad experience. From copays that were incorrect to a person we spoke with that barely spoke English and hard to understand.

Melissa Woodroffe Dr Errington accused me of trying to get out of the military. Turns out I have major neuropathy that he refused to even test for. I missed out on a decade of treatment because I was so traumatized by a doctor berating me the way he did. His kind of “care” is unforgivable.

Ashlee D. Absolutely amazing! I had consultations with 2 back surgeons here in Amarillo before making my decision to go with Dr. Errington. When I arrived for my initial consultation with the PA he was so organized and prepared for our meeting. The front office was pleasant and I actually felt welcomed in their office. Unlike my experience with my first surgeons consultation, Dr. Errington and his PA already had met before my consultation and together they made a plan of action for me, based on my MRI reading. I am 6 weeks post op surgery and I feel amazing! Everyone in this office has taken exceptional care of me, I am very thankful to have found them.

M M My experience with VA Amarillo has been deeply troubling and profoundly damaging. I have faced multiple unauthorized disclosures of sensitive medical information, including records related to PTSD ***, which are extremely personal and sensitive. These breaches have caused severe emotional distress, significantly worsening my mental health symptoms. Despite VA employees being required to undergo annual HIPAA training to safeguard veterans’ information, these violations occurred multiple times and were reported directly by me to the Privacy Officer—not by the employees who were aware of these misconduct incidents. One particularly egregious breach involved my sensitive information being shared without any justification. Yet, accountability and proper safeguards remain glaringly absent. As a disabled veteran, I rely on the VA for care and trust that my personal information will be treated with the highest level of confidentiality and respect. These violations have shattered that trust, leaving me retraumatized, often crying and shaking for hours daily. I urge VA Amarillo to take immediate action to address these issues, implement stricter privacy protocols, and hold those responsible accountable. No veteran should ever have to endure this level of negligence and gross misconduct. I no longer feel safe at this VA facility and fear additional harm if these issues are not urgently addressed.

Fred Cox This is a review for the Barber Shop on the 2nd floor of the VA. I have gone there off and on for quite a few years, only because my wife cuts my hair at home. It has become difficult for her, so I have started going here for a haircut regularly. It is a top-notch barber shop with an excellent reputation for good haircuts. I would highly recommend this Barber Shop to any veteran while they are at the VA, or doesnt mind getting out to go to the VA. Give her a try!

Matthew Tate 03/25/22 - As an honorably discharged disabled veteran, I have been to quite a few VA health care centers in the past 31 years. Most have not impressed me, and some have been outright horrible. Not the VA Medical Center in Amarillo. It is - by FAR! - the best medical and personal care I have ever received. From the providers (Team Courages Ms. Nichols and crew), to Assistants and Techs, to Support services (Lynda Mitchell), to the people in Housekeeping and Maintenance - even the people cooking and working in the canteen - EVERYONE has been so kind, loving, supportive, and professional! Such a positive atmosphere starts at the top, and the quality of care here humbles me and makes me grateful to have had the privilege of serving in our United States armed forces. VERDICT: ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CARE AND PEOPLE ANYWHERE. I WISH I COULD VOTE 10 STARS!

Austin Johnson This is strictly because of the mental health department. I have a job that pulls me in a million different directions at all times, and because I missed an appointment, they decided they were going to stop providing me with my mental health medication. Very disappointing, never had this problem with the previous staff. The medication I’m on is an SSRI and if it is stopped being taken abruptly, it can cause serious mental health issues, yet they do not care. Highly recommend if you have outside insurance to just pay for medical care, because they will put your life at risk for not doing what they tell you to do. It’s a very tyrant leadership at the moment.

Matt Hew I recently visited the Amarillo VA Medical Center for cardiology care, and I couldnt be more impressed with the level of service and care I received. From the initial consultation to the diagnostic tests and follow-up care, the cardiology staff at the Amarillo VA were thorough, attentive, and compassionate. They took the time to listen to my concerns, explain the treatment options, and ensure that I received the best possible care. The facilities at the Amarillo VA Medical Center were modern, well-maintained, and equipped with state-of-the-art technology for cardiology procedures. The staffs professionalism and commitment to patient well-being were evident at every step of my journey. Cynthia Mills Have a hard time with case workers my information is the same but they are rude and uncaring pushed my buttons, lie and manipulate case when I speak up about how hard they try to make getting approved difficult. Try to talk to me like Im stupid, one case worker tried to cause problems with a couple that had nothing to do with getting approved. Phone answering better, But overall most are friendly.

Melody Black This place is a joke. Since two months ago, Medicaide has made seven requests for a Medical Necessity Waiver and I have made four. They have ignored all of these requests, and in doing so, have cost me some of my benefits. Dr. Carizzo must be aware and seems like he couldn’t care less about his patients. Clinics like this are meant to care for and treat their patients, not add stress to their lives. I have been a patient of his for four years and have never seen him in person. It seems like these practices might be illegal, and I am looking deeper into the matter.

Cheryl McWhorter I have been welcomed warmly. I felt I was heard and cared about on top of the care I received. Dr. Austin has been great!

Caroline Clark-Bartlett Once you are approved for their Indigent Care program then the level of compassion and care is amazing: depending on the doctor youre paired with. The -2 stars is given because the approval process is arcane and the staff member who seems they handle both reception and the approvals is very rude at times. I didnt appreciate being made to feel ashamed to be even applying for indigent care.

Sarafina Johnson Brought my daughter in to be seen as shes been sick for several days. The front desk seemed less than ecstatic to be helping me, which is fine they were cordial and got me through. Everything was fine until I was trying to explain where my daughters rx needed to be sent. The PA Vickie would not let me talk. She kept cutting me off and put her hand up in face when I was trying to speak. I finally just asked her to send it electronically to a second choice pharmacy and she kept pressing the issue. After telling her several times to forget my original request. She clearly didnt understand. How could she when she wouldnt let me speak! She finally apologized about my insurance as she was walking away, which was never mentioned or even what I was asking about. Im completely baffled as to how she thought her behavior was even remotely appropriate.

Hannah Drew The receptionist was incredibly rude and made fun of the Patient Who accidentally dropped a card in front of her. Later, the physician repeatedly told the patient that there was nothing wrong with them and it was just their jaw problem when they had an ear infection where they couldn’t hear anything and it was very painful and she was throwing up consecutively but it’s a job problem? The patient was constantly belittled. And told you don’t need to be here you don’t need an emergency room. They did nothing to help. They only made the patient’s feelings worse and did not relieve any symptoms. Just because a patient is a woman does not mean she doesn’t know what’s happening with her body, Or that she’s pregnant on her period or anything else y’all want to say they do. If a woman comes in with a problem, she has a problem. She knows what her body wants and needs. You are not her.

Susan Miller I usually don’t post ratings on here, but my goodness! This place is terrible!! The wait was extremely long, others that came in after me were seen before me. The PA told me she would prescribe a certain antibiotic, I clarified it before leaving, and she called in something completely different!! I had NO help from these people. All I got was “ Do you have an appointment with your primary doctor ?” I do, but not the point! I paid $110 bucks for nothing! The PA was too busy to fix her mistake. Please don’t waste your time or money here.

Weldon Wiley Don’t see the Physician Assistant Vickie. She’s very rude!!! I have been going there for eight years, always had great service. Whenever I went in today, PA Vickie Was in a bad mood whenever she walked into the Examination room, like she did not want to be there in the first place. Then she started be writing me, and treating me like a child. I recommend finding a different place to go, I truly think she hates men!

Jessica Hackley If I could give this "Doctors office" no stars I would. My reasons for this review as well as the others I intend to write following this one, are both personal and because no one should ever have to go through the torture I did. For 2 years, I was just brushed off, called non compliant and literally left to die. Had I taken Dr. Griffins advice and listened when I was told "theres nothing more we can do" I would be dead before 09/2022. Numerous visits, for the same urgent and serious complaint. Every visit was the same, I was accused of exaggerating my symptoms (even though my blood work showed 100% proof), that my symptoms were in my head and that because my neurologist did not agree with their hormonal "treatment" plan I was dismissed as a patient. Had ANY of these doctors/residents/people had any care or empathy at all, my now inoperable stage 3 cervical cancer, would and could have been treated with a hysterectomy. However, because I would cry, ask questions and because my symptoms were "a little extreme sounding" I wasnt treated as a patient/person or even a human being. I went to Lubbock as my last resort and saw a doctor with the exact qualifications and title as Dr. Griffin and his residents and this Dr in Lubbock was able to do the exam that "couldnt be done" in Amarillo due to a tilted uterus that caused me extreme pain when attempted by Dr. Griffins residents but they didnt take the time to listen to me so they just assumed that I was being non compliant. I debated writing these reviews for several reasons some more obvious than others. However, my time now is limited, and this is an ongoing and escalating issue for Amarillo and their medical care. Legal counsel was of no help, calling the highest on command did nothing either so Ive literally got nothing to lose now so Im going to spread this as much as I can. So if this review and its following reviews are Google approved, MAYBE, I pray, I am the last to ever have to go through what I did.

Luffy D. Monkey Cant beat getting free prescriptions and health care if you qualify. Comes at its own price though of course, it can be very difficult to keep up with all of the appointments they make for you, especially in the beginning. There just trying to get you seen by a whole slew of different Dr.s to make sure clients are all around healthy. But I felt like majority of my appointments were unnecessary and take up a very large amount of time. Though all worth it in the end overall and everything is in your best interest. Great Dr.s and staff. The services here are a life saver.

Cody Pulley Yes I am 59 years old and will soon be 60 yet my first experience with the district Clinic was when I was in my thirties and through the years I have had to rely on them to help me with medical issues. I have never ever had a negative experience with the district Clinic. The doctors have always been more than thorough and kind and professional. As well as all the staff from financial aid on up. When I first had to go to the district Clinic for my liver I did not know what was wrong with me and had been to three private doctors through the years that could not diagnose my problem. Yet the doctors at the clinic were so thorough that they found out what my liver problem was" and I was sick with a fatal Progressive liver disease. So I will always be grateful for the district Clinic and all they have done for me. I can understand why if youre not feeling good you may feel put out because you may have to wait longer than usual. However considering all I believe that the clinic deserves above and beyond 5 stars. And as good as the staff is to the patients I dont understand anybody getting on here and complaining on open social media. Today I went to the financial assistance and the staff was having a couple meetings in a back room and every single staff member that walk through the waiting room spoke to me in a kind way. And then the lady that was the receptionist and everyone that I dealt with in the back trying to get qualified was more than helpful friendly and polite. As a matter of fact I witnessed some other clients given the staff a hard time and watched how professional the staff handled the problems and remained courteous to the people that were complaining. Thank you guys so much for the way you treated me today. I only wish the rest of the world was as courteous and friendly as you all.

ANN WILSON Dr. Keelie Tucker is a totally awesome Gynecologist....very medically knowledgeable and professional, along with being kind, considerable & personable. She has great years of experience and is gentle while doing procedures. Her staff is amazing too---really like her nurse, Mackenzie. They are organized & the wait time is generally short. My 3 procedures today were scheduled one right after the other, so it was a big-time saver. I cannot say enough nice things about this doctor, her staff & office---highly recommend it!!!

Lex Graham Our experience with Women’s Healthcare Associates, particularly Dr. Jill Gulizia and Nurse Practitioner Jennifer Graham, has been nothing short of incredible. We delivered both of our sons under their care, and from the very beginning, we were met with exceptional kindness, warmth, and expertise. Dr. Gulizia and Jennifer provided top-tier medical care while also ensuring we felt informed and supported throughout the entire journey. Their ability to explain everything clearly and compassionately made all the difference, easing any worries we had along the way. As a father, I was especially impressed by how much information and guidance they provided to me as well. They made sure I felt involved and prepared, giving me the confidence to support my wife every step of the way. Their level of care went beyond just medical expertise—it was personal, thoughtful, and truly reassuring. We are beyond grateful for the outstanding care we received and would highly recommend Dr. Gulizia, Jennifer, and the entire team at Women’s Healthcare Associates to anyone looking for a provider who genuinely prioritizes their patients.

Kieli Christian Disappointed. That is the only word I can come up with to describe my experience. Tried to schedule an appointment but was met with little to no communication. I completely understand the fact of being busy and having multiple calls to answer but having gone to this facility for my past two pregnancies and having the same issues is ridiculous. Cannot get ahold of the person responsible for making the appointments, even if you do the call goes straight to voicemail and when you try to call back you are on hold or sent back to her voicemail. Ended up going to a different facility.

Hannah I read all of the reviews prior to my appointment today and, from todays visit, it felt like they addressed all of the customer service issues others had past problems with. I saw Dr. Bonds today as a new patient. The reviews about her amazing bedside manner were accurate. She was thorough in both exam and in information. I went to her for a consult on having a tubal because shes on a list of doctors who will do a tubal without forcing her opinions or views on you. She didnt ask questions and was supportive of my choice. She was, also, extremely understanding and sensitive to how anxious these appointments make me. I will be switching all of my OBGYN care over to Dr. Bonds for the foreseeable future. Even if front desk staff were rude today, which they were NOT, I would happily tolerate it just to see Dr. Bonds. I will update the review if there are any surprise bills as that seems to be a BIG issue there. My insurance covers preventative at 100% and copay is only $50. So, if I get anything outside of that, I will be calling to discuss with them. UPDATE 1 and decreasing my rating as a result: Be forewarned. if youre needing to schedule a surgery, they will scheduled it BEFORE ever checking with you and expect you to make it work. Then, they seem annoyed when you say it cant work and need to move it. They tried to schedule my surgery 2 days before Thanksgiving which means I would miss out on the holidays with my family. This is inconsiderate of the patient. Im sure some might be able to do it then, but 2 days before would mean I have to miss out on Thanksgiving altogether. I was told it has to do with NWTH and when works for them, but I still do not see how they cant get a list of dates from NW or even call the patient FIRST for possible dates then check with the hospital. I wouldve been more understanding if the person who called wasnt clearly annoyed with me saying 2 days before Thanksgiving wouldnt work for me. If she had called me first, I couldve given her an exact date that worked like I told her today and it wouldve avoided the clear annoyance. Update 2: Surgery went really well. Dr. Bonds did a great job, especially at making sure I understand the severity of the postop chest pain. That was surprisingly bad! Outside of normal postoperative soreness with a tubal, Ive had no issues. Im about 5 days postop and back to normal life just a bit slower. Im even back at the gym, just lifting less weight. Im a childless woman who has a familial history of ovarian cancer. Im in my 30s and dont want kids and never have. I decided to have my tubes removed to help reduce the risk of ovarian cancer. Dr. Bonds never questioned me or my motives for removing my sterility. If it werent for starting a new job, I wouldve had my surgery within just a few weeks of my appointment with her. Thankfully, they were able to adjust my surgery day and got it done right before my works closing for the holidays. So, Ive got almost 3 weeks to recover. Overall, Ive had a pretty good experience with WHA. Will provide a final update around my postoperative appointment and after when Id receive any surprise bills. Their insurance person told me I wouldnt owe anything for the surgery and my insurance EOBs support that. But Im waiting to see if I get any surprise bills. Post-op update: no surprise bills so far and Ive been cleared to go about life as normal. Honestly, I cant recommend Dr. Bonds enough. I did confirm she doesnt do any pain management where in office procedures, like IUD insertions, are concerned. But shes so supportive of her patients and the choices they make. Also, she seems quite knowledgeable about how a hx of SA impacts women. I will be referring my clients to her for that reason alone! I didnt interact much with office staff outside of checking in and getting surgery scheduled, but aside from my previous update, I had a phenomenal experience with Dr. Bonds and her staff. She gets 5 stars from me!

Jerihmy Dalton Wish I could do zero stars. Very little regard for patent’s well being. Will not refill vital prescriptions until you first come in and pay him for an office visit. As my Dr he knew the importance of my prescriptions and knew I worked out of town for 30-40 days at a time. Refused a refill for me until I came in first, knowing that would mean up to 40 days of missing important medications. Unethical in my opinion and poor bed side manner.

Rinda Rawlings I told him that I was allergic to all sulfa drugs but that I needed medication for my migraine headaches. He prescribed me Imitrex that has sulfa in it and the next thing I knew I was in the emergency room. When I called to tell them about this he stated that I only said I was allergic to sulfa eye drops. After talking to the pharmacist they didnt understand why he would prescribe that in the first place.

Phyllis Cash I don’t have a complaint about a doctor. But I’m upset because I had an appointment this morning to meet with new doctor. And needless to say I was told , nicely, by the front desk I had been rescheduled to August! Now this is the SECOND time I’ve been told a notification had been sent to my address, first time that my doctor was no longer employed there. Now I’ve been at this address for over 40 years and apparently this is the only place in the US that has a problem with mailing me.

Jasmine Barrera Worst doctors and staff Ive ever dealt with. Im pretty sure they discriminate based on age, if youre in youre not in youre 50s+ dont count on these doctors to help you or take you seriously. Had a loop recorder put in with multiple documented episodes almost daily just for the doctor to call and say "since youre not having episodes" the women who read the loop recorder straight off the screen say that its serious but when I step in the room with the doctor he says Im fine. If I wasnt fine I wouldnt be fainting multiple times a day but since Im in my 20s it doesnt matter to him.

Tristi Weston I really like Dr. Assadourian. He is firm/direct but kind in his bedside manner and he takes the time to really hear your concerns. He is thorough and takes you seriously. That is the personalities I prefer in my care teams. I saw Dr. Brabham several years prior and thought he was great as well but too much time has passed and I was considered a new patient again. I was greatly relieved when my new doctor took the time to fully hear my concerns this time, too. I see a lot of people complain about wait times but I truly think they do their very best to manage their schedules as best as possible.

Mike Phillips Dont be in a hurry, if you are having any pains you will die in the waiting room. They are never on time. Second visit. Dont be fooled by the response. They are so over booked you will spend hours waiting. Do not come here thinking you will be seen anywhere near your appointment time. They will be at least a hour behind. Good luck changing health insurance to avoid this place.

Bailey Ramos Would give no stars if I could..filled out required paperwork to be seen as a new patient for a primary care doctor. They denied me to be a patient when they received my previous records from my doctor in Oklahoma City on that I do not go to the doctor enough to warrant them seeing me as a patient. You would think that is a good thing.

JaNet Conde Trujillo If it were possible to give no stars at all, I would. I was compliant with their rather difficult new patient process. I filled out and returned every single piece of paper they requested (the majority of them while I recovered from major surgery). All I was looking for was a Primary Care Doctor I could call for a yearly physical exam and whenever I had a cold or wasnt feeling well. All of my other medical conditions were otherwise being taken care of by the proper specialists. I returned the completed New Patient Packet only to receive an email back telling me that "Upon further review we cannot accept you as a patient." I asked why, because I felt that I deserved a reason and simply got that "my office manager told me so." So, moral of the story is, they will deny you medical care for no reason. I would absolutely NOT recommend a medical office that will deny you as a new patient without rhyme or reason, because that tells me that had they taken me as a patient, theres a pretty good chance that further down the road, they wouldve denied me actual medical care that Id genuinely need. Please do not waste your time going through their highly unnecessarily rigorous new patient process just so they can turn around and deny you medical care.

H L This place will deny you care as a patient for “outstanding debt” from over 10 years ago when I was a minor! My phone was continually blown up within the time span of an hour due to this cluster. The records that they had on file regarding my “previous treatment” were not even accurate, the last time I apparently “received care” from this facility I didn’t even live in this state. This entire operation is a prime example of bureaucratic medicine and putting profit over patient care.

Angel Worsham I am a type 1 diabetic and just recently found out I am pregnant. It very crucial that I have an endocrinologist to help me understand and take care of my diabetes while I am pregnant. Due to me being a type one diabetic I am also a high-risk pregnancy. I had an appointment on 10/17/2024 at 10:00 with Dr. Caga-anan but with me just finding out that I am pregnant I have had so many different appointments that I accidentally got my times mixed up for this appointment that I had with Dr. Cara-anan. I showed up to my appointment at 11:15 thinking my appointment was at 11:30 trying to be early and compliant as they requested. They then notified me as I got there that my appointment was at 10:00 and I felt so bad and so embarrassed as I wouldn’t have missed this appointment for the world. This was the most important appointment to me and all I could do was apologize for my mistake as I got confused. I had left their office in tears and noticed they had took $100 out of my account as a no show fee but I did not now show my appointment, as I had just mixed up my times which they did refund me. They had fired me as a patient and told me I could no longer be seen there. I was a new patient and never have even been seen there before. They made me feel like I was incompetent and making a little mistake is unacceptable. I am human, and humans make mistakes on a daily basis. This is not how you should treat or make anyone feel no matter the circumstances. The women that were working had no sympathy for my situation. I understand that this is a busy office, I work at a medical clinic and we would never turn away our patients for being late to one appointment. I am now not only unable to see that doctor but any of the doctors working there, and there is not a lot of options for endocrinology in Amarillo.

L I Dr. Keister, Albert, and Fatima are the best doctor and NP’s ever. They are so personable, and they genuinely listen and care for their patients. And, Dawn and Angelica at the front office are so kind, understanding and helpful. Angelica took the time to look into something AFTER I was already off the phone, and found the answer I needed about a billing question (that I didn’t even know she was going to look into for me). She emailed me the info all on her own and it was so helpful!
