*I was upset about waiting to get an appointment so One improvement needed: BETTER appointment scheduling system.*
Our primary care asked for a “stat” consult on 01/29/2025 for urinary retention/new catheter (ER doctor placed an in-dwelling catheter and did have an exit strategy). After 4 hours, no one from your office had called me so I began calling your office to schedule an appointment. I called every 15 minutes beginning at approximately 3:30pm. No one answered the phone and the “leave a message for the nurse” line would not accept a message. At 4:42pm the call went to the answering service who could not take a message about scheduling an appointment. On 01/30/2025 I began my calling again with the same “no answer/message” results. I had to ask the primary care to follow up with scheduling. Finally after 2:30pm, i got a receptionist who could only offer me an appointment SEVEN days out and a suggestion to go to the ER in the meantime for the blood in the catheter/urine. The compassion from the receptionist scheduling the appointment in no way mirrored the compassion of your staff when we got to the appointment. We were actually hesitant to come to the appointment because of the lousy experience with scheduling.
