5 /5 Allen Nace: We were passing through Lampasas on our way to Waco for a weekend get away. It was 6pm on a Friday. The alternator decided to go out. Lampasas is a pretty town, but it turns out automotive shops don’t enjoy the night life. Called as many places as I could. Left messages at the ones that had an answering machine. We were far from home and running out of daylight (and battery). Then one shop returned my call - Johnnie McGehee of McGehee Automotive. If I could bring the parts he would fix our car. Oh yeah, did I mention it was me, my wife & our 4 boys. Luckily was able to get the part and made our way to the shop. The battery was dying and as we pulled in the system was failing. Johnnie was just as friendly and gracious as could be. He didn’t waste any time and within a couple hours and some good conversation he had us back on the road. Great work. Very fair price. A real Godsend. I recommend McGehee Automotive to anyone and everyone in need of repair in the area. You won’t regret it. Thank you Johnnie for saving the day and saving our trip!!
