She is a sister with class and skill so I will always go to Betty for my haircare.

Adam E My fiance had an appointment to get her hair done by Betty. When she went in Betty wasnt there and was told that Betty wouldnt be in but that she was to do my fiances hair. This lady had no clue what she was doing. Loose braids Upton and tight at the bottom with strands sticking out everywhere. Betty was actually coming in and was confused why the other girl did it. My fiance brought in her own extensions which were now ruined and wasnt compensated and still charged full price to have Betty fix what someone in her shop did. Also my fiance had fallen asleep during the time Betty was to fix it only to wake to find that same girl being trained on her without being asked. Completely unprofessional shop I would never recommend anyone going here.

Susanna Huang I am so happy I found Coco! She knows how to cut my thick, pin straight hair to give it volume and dimension. She always styles it to perfection as well. Her set up is very clean and organized. Ive had such a pleasant experience with her each time. Shes very sweet and easy to chat with. Im a loyal customer!

Y T I got magic setting perm done at Coco Hair a couple years ago and when I look at the old pictures I still get mad that I paid $350+ for it. I was a laughing stock for my family and friends before it got straightened. They were seriously concerned for my hair but couldn’t hold their laugh for how ridiculous and funny it looked. The curls were so strong on my bangs and side hair that it was sticking out to the side like antenna. I have been getting perms at korean hair salons both in the US and Korea for over ten years and this was the biggest flop i have seen done on my hair. I could tell they don’t have the right equipment (or i should say “up-to-date” equipment) for perms and she doesn’t seem to have an understanding for different hair textures and how that could affect curls that she needs to apply different techniques based on that. On top of everything, her reaction to her failed perm was very disappointing because after blow drying my hair she straightened my bangs and front side of my hair with a flat iron to hide the flop. And even had the audacity to tell me to straighten it every day with a flat iron. In the end, i did contact her about it and She did apologize and offered to straighten my hair but i think she should have also refunded me because my hair was severely damaged from two perm treatments in a row and it took me over a year to recover and regrow. I think it’s upsetting that I initiated this complaint and she tried to hide it and took my time and money for my hair to get severely damaged in the end.

They work as a team together on a client to enhance the finished product. In my case I had Color and allover highlights. I am very pleased with the finished product and have no qualms in recommending them.

Unfortunately, I discovered proof Mia and my husband were communicating after hours via the phone and in person for several months. Charity Mcleod I took my son to the very first time just a couple of days ago and I’ll tell you the atmosphere the haircut and everything about it with absolutely amazing. They have loud music drums about 100 beautiful tropical plants and a cute little white dog I 100% suggest try it! My son Who I will say is pretty pink and ask for a fade and print it like that and she did it perfect I don’t think I’ve ever seen it so they really look up to their name! I don’t think we’ll ever go anywhere else

Jennifer Shannon All I can say is wow! 10/10 experience from start to finish. I got super lucky with a last minute cancellation and Mr. Ha did not disappoint. The owner said she brought him here from Korea and it is clear he is professional hair artist and knows how to cut Asian hair perfectly. This place is tucked away in a quiet parking lot but such a gem. Highly recommend. Owner super friendly and nice.

Fiapaipai Moeai Moa Hair Studios was great! Clean, nice aesthetics and overall relaxing environment. Service was great as well. I’m not gonna lie I was a little nervous because I thought there might be a language barrier but it didn’t matter what language we spoke Mr Ha and Mona are great hairstylist, colorists, or hap they have the years of experience to leave you feeling and looking great. There are other services done by other people but I was only there for a cut and color. Everyone’s pricing is different depending on their own hair but Mona does give a base price for whatever you’re looking for. The only thing that I will say but Mona has no control over is there is a lot of activity outside but she mentioned that the police and security patrol the area so I wouldn’t let that deter you from going there. I definitely recommend checking out their services. I will be back for a follow up with either Mona or Mr. Ha.

Dahn Bi Lee-Hong 10/10 experience at Moa Hair today! I called to make an appointment on Thursday, and they were able to accommodate my partner and I for one long cut and one short cut + perm on Saturday with no issues! I have been cutting my own hair since 2019, growing it out from a buzz cut. I have a lot of hair, and it’s quite straight, and HEAVY. (See last photo for a before pic) We started off with a lovely shampoo and conditioner, where the I showed the owner a few photos of what I was thinking - a hush cut/ wolf cut combo, and she saw the vision immediately. She checked in to see how much length I wanted to preserve, and confidently made the cut. During the course of the cut, I could tell that she had put in so much attention to detail, ensuring the styling was impeccable, and removing a significant amount of weight. I feel like I have 1/3 of the hair on my head that I came in with, which is going to help so much with the speed of drying and styling my hair. We finished the cut with a blow dry and some delicious smelling hair oil. Overall I had a wonderful experience, and will definitely be back again for my next cut, and for a perm ✨✨ definitely recommend Moa hair if you are looking for a skilled stylist who is on top of the latest trends, and can pull off your vision every time ❣️

Lyle Angeli Schweizerhof My stylist had a great demeanor, she was extremely pleasant and respectful. I loved the idea that the salon had a waiting table, it gives a more inviting atmosphere compared to the "waiting area" where you are called when they are ready for you- but instead you get to watch the stylist (ofcourse on your own accord). I gave a picture reference and she worked around the style that I preferred. The hair washing was a pleasant experience as well!

Maya Wolf There were 2 women, one I think was the owner, one a younger lady. I went in to get a haircut and a digi perm. The younger lady was very good at explaining what was going on (first time getting a digi perm). I thought it was a little strange how both women tag teamed everyone in the salon. Ex: if one lady was working on my hair, the other was doing a hair cut and visa versa. The entire process took longer than they told me (they said 3 hrs but it took almost 4 1/2 hrs so be sure you have time). They did the tag team well tho, every customer was attended to. I waited to write a review so I could work with my newly curly hair. It is not as curly as the day I left the salon but is very pretty. If you have only had straight or wavy hair, digi perm does take more work in the morning to get set. The first 2 pics are the day of the perm. The third is 6 days after the perm and washing it.

Sesilia Gomez Taylor was fantastic! Absolutely love my highlights! I am naturally brunette and the blonde turned out perfect! She toned it out just right and did not leave a nasty copper or brass orange. Highly recommend! And EnaVative Hair Studio is clean, welcoming and has a great vibe. Somewhere you can feel comfortable! Again I HIGHLY recommend these ladies! I will be a return customer for sure!

GS Johnson I had a flat iron done by Ena in 2019 and she damaged my natural curls by using too much heat. I explained to her that my curls never came back after that appointment; she didnt apologize or offer any services after what she did to my hair. I had to cut the damaged hair and start over. Its too bad that there arent more harsh repercussions for stylists.

J B Pros: The stylist are very nice and the prices are reasonable. It’s Black-owned. Kid-free Cons: -my hair was blown dry when it was still 90% wet. This is really damaging to your strands. -the flat iron left my hair smelling burnt and stiff even after a week. Washed it to find heat damaged ends as expected. Please don’t use cheap flat irons and heat over 400 (375 really). - wet hair without a towel to catch the water meant I was getting water all down my neck. - The owner was giving advice about putting a cream on hair and then blow drying it. You should never do that unless you want to fry a person’s hair. Creams and oils are not heat protectors and not to be used with hot tools. I know everyone there generally means well and can talk about their degrees and experience but I would just say there’s a fundamental lack of knowledge that runs from top to bottom and you can look at all of the stylists’ hair condition as proof. Nice people but could never recommend that place.

iracely barrios I first saw this man doing volunteer work at a Elemantary school with so much dedication and precision I asked for his business card. I since then have brought my son my self my husband on numerous occasions walk-ins are welcomed. They wash your hair included in the price after a cut. They cut men, women and childrens hair. Not to mention perms, hairdos and hair dyes by appointments only. I wanted to show my support to a family owned business that does charity work at a school for all the students coming into the school year. Parking is free but plaza is small

Kyle Grinnell After nearly three years I think it is time to refresh my review to keep it current. I have had many great experiences with hair cuts and pedicures with whoever provides services to me. Wait times are short and the staff are competent. I noticed that a couple of negative reviewers commented on the staff speaking their native language when talking with each other. How is that bad? Why be so shallow as to deny someone their culture? Not everything is about you, dude! Anyway... clean salon, talented staff, great facilities, and if youre lucky you just might learn a few words of another language. Whats not to like? Five stars are not enough. (from 2016): New owner this past summer so disregard reviews from older than that. Clean attractive salon with very fair pricing and parking literally right at the door. The ladies that work there are very nice and skilled at their profession. The pedicure stations are new. It seems that most of the clientele are long term repeat loyal customers, although walk-ins are very welcome. I always get great service.

Pacific North West Racing Channel Always had a great experience here except for today. Gal on the end with the Grey face mask did not listen to my requests at all. Asked her to.leave a portion long and it gets cut off. Asked me if I wanted her to trim my side burns and I said no. I can do it at home.... so she cut them off. Not sure if it was a bad day for her but its one of the worst hair cuts Ive ever had.

I have an appointment, what do you mean come back next week!? Unbelievable experience! That is not very good customer service nor a good first time impression . But I called another salon and they got me in right then and there . God works great when people do you dirty. It was a blessing I didn’t go there after all. it was run down and so was their service ! Wish I didn’t even have to give this place a star at all. It would be a negative!

Brandon Swain It is by far the best hair stylest company in Federal Way. Be patient with her. She might have a client before your appointment. She basically runs the shop by herself but it is worth the wait. She is very nice and fun to talk with. Her service is fast and professional. I hope she stays in business.

Robin Ross I have very fine, thin hair and when I find a stylist I stick with them. I had been with one gal for 9 years and she moved....I went to 2 or 3 salons, and it seem nobody knew how to deal with fine, thin hair. When I called the salon Kim was working in at the time, I told the gal, I need someone who can work with thin, fine hair....she told me she was scheduling me with Kim. I was ecstatic from my first cut with her. She did exactly as I asked her to and a few months later introduced me to a new style, which is hard to do with short, thin, fine hair. Ive been seeing Kim faithfully for 6+ years and have no plans of ever going to anyone else. She is not only very good, she listens to you, very personable and is adorable. Ive introduced my mother and a few of her friends who all love Kim and continue to come see her. Her new salon is bright and clean and has a very comfortable feel to it. If youre looking for a great stylist who listens and carries only the best products and has top notch employees, Ivys Hair Salon is your place! Trust me you wont be disappointed! Chami Joe Ro I got my appointment set up right away, my hair stylist Chris listened attentively to me before starting to work on my hair (on the type of hair design I wanted and to be gentle with extreme care since I suffer from alopecia). So I really appreciated the fact that he treated my hair very gently because I am very sensitive to each piece of hair I lose) and gave me helpful tips on how to care my hair as patient of alopecia. The hair cut turned out super cute, just the way I wanted!! I love it!!! And I was charged exactly the amount quoted over the phone (a fair and reasonable charge). I will definitely be back! :)

The service was exceptional and theyre very friendly. They did not charge me extra for trim haircut, and the lady with blonde hair even gave me free Morocvita oil as her gift. I do recommend this place if you want to have straight hair for a change.

Jessica Birch I called in for a next day appointment and was able to get an appointment easily. The stylists worked on my daughters hair for three hours, and did a great job of giving her the look she wanted. My daughter has naturally red hair that is difficult to lift/bleach, dye, and get even coverage on. She’s gone through various neon colors dying her hair at home but we knew we would have trouble if she tried to do it on her own (our strand test was scary!) Cue the wonderful stylists at Jenny Coco working diligently and attentively to give her the big change she wanted! 5 stars!

Elia Villarreal 2 stars only because they were nice but the haircut was horrible. When she showed me my hair I thought it was uneven a bit, but every time I kept trying to see the back she would move my hair around not allowing me to see the back. I told her I couldnt see the back well and she said it looks good. When I got home and was able to see it without being rushed I was shocked at how asymmetrical it was. She had other clients waiting so I felt rushed out of the salon, she charged $40 for this cut.

Although I couldn’t show him a reference photo since I’d forgotten my phone, I was very specific about what I wanted. Let me tell you—Brian understood the assignment perfectly! First, I have to mention his amazing shampooing skills. This level of care and attention is rare to find among stylists these days. When it came time for the haircut consultation, I explained what I was looking for, though I was initially hesitant about whether he’d be able to execute my vision. I’ve had difficulty in the past finding stylists who truly understand what I want. But Brian exceeded my expectations! His precision and technique were outstanding—honestly, his skills are platform-worthy. I was so impressed that I immediately recommended him to my sister-in-law, who didn’t hesitate to call and book an appointment. To anyone else looking for a talented stylist, I can’t recommend Brian highly enough.

Chad She goes way too fast. She lined up my ear way too freaking high. She also got upset with me today because I was asking her politely that I like my haircut a certain way. I was telling her to go high up on the sides with a fade Even before she cut it. She didnt cut it and then I made her go back and do it I was telling her to do this so she didnt have to. Because last time she cut it she put way too much length on my sides and when I got home I literally had to pull out my clippers and cut it shorter. And she kind of snapped at me and said WELL I CANT REALLY GO MUCH SHORTER IF I DO FINGER LENGTH!!! I didnt say one more word to her until she finished. It was $25 for a mans haircut which is way too much. The sign says $22 to $25 but its always $25 itll never be $22 even if it only takes her 6 minutes and it only took her like probably 6 or 7 minutes because she just rushes right through it. Ive been to her multiple times but today she was so rude. But she had no problem being super nice when it came to paying and time to tip. It just sucks cuz I live close and now Im going to find a different place I wont go to her ever again.

Anne C Horrible customer service. I was really excited to try this salon but was disappointed. The nail technician raised her voice at me telling me I schedule the wrong appointment as soon as O entered the salon. I told her that I explained to the person who schedule my appointment exactly what I wanted. With hesitation she agreed to do my nails. I should have known right there that I should have not gone through with it. She rushed through my manicure and made one of my fingers bleed. My cuticles were not properly trimmed. When I showed it to them, they brushed it off saying it was ok. They placed oil on my fingers to disguise the quality of work but as soon as I washed off the oil you can see all the cuticles and tried extra glue on the side of my nails. I will never go to this salon again!! On a side note, my daughter got her nails done at the same time and the male nail technician did a wonderful job! It’s sad how one person can ruin the experience

Maddison Amos Save your time and money. Go somewhere that will give you what you ask for. I just walked out and I am almost in tears. First I booked appointments and then was told there wasnt time for a design and I should make an appointment. I replied with I did make an appointment and was told to pick one color. Moving on to my manicure. I asked for matching and theyre complete different colors, different shapes. They just care about making money and getting as many people in and out as they can.

Tina Chance I’ve been to a ton of nail salons and I normally end up with butchered nails due to the grinding tool they use instead of a regular nail file. I had my nails down at the end of 2023 in another salon and they’d filed my nails down to almost nothing, cracked and split and bleeding. I was terrified to get my nails done ever again and I reached out to 8th day spa because a friend of mine regularly visits them. Not only did they spend a significant amount of time emailing with me to assure my comforts and find a way to get my sensitive nails done, but they assigned me with a very gentle nail tech who was able to use the grinding tool without hurting me. They even offered to do a regular file instead of the grinding tool as well. I was amazed at the offerings, and the fact this salon was willing to take time to prove getting my nails done shouldn’t hurt. I’ve gone to this salon for about two months now, and waited till now to write this review. My nails are extremely paper thin and sensitive but the tech here has been able to do my nails just fine and without any pain or damage to my nails. I am super surprised and now don’t fear getting my nails done anymore. If you have highly sensitive nails like me, this place is amazing and offers gentle techs to work with you! I highly recommend this nail salon. I will be going no where else but here!

Tess Butterfield They did a horrible job, said I wanted my hair bleached, it was a light red with some blonde. They didnt do my roots. Bleached it twice with out toning it. Didnt condition it. She didnt do my roots the first time.They both were working on the bleaching together and was tearing my hair out of my scalp. It was the worst expiernce. I had orange and the most discusting dry hair I had never had, my hair was so damaged. I immediately went to ulta, Im actually here now and they are toning and do a deep conditioning treatment for me with a discount. But yeah worst experience and Im going to try and get my money back

Mariam Greb Jenny saved my hair! I did an at home balayage lightening kit and even after toning, it turned my hair extremely orange and bronzey, not at all good on me. She toned it out and styled it and it turned out a hundred times better. I was next door at the nail salon telling someone how I had my daughters wedding the next day and not enough time after checking into our hotel, to find anywhere open pate enough to get me in for a color. It was 6:50 and they both closed at 7 but he suggested that I try next door. I called and sure enough, she said shed wait for me. I could hardly believe she offered to style it too, after coloring and I have a ton of hair. Highly recommended!

Shawna Vanderford I was in there yesterday for lash extensions. When I called I was told it was $40 for a fill and it would only take 45 min. I was there for an hour and they charged me $45. Not impressed.

Krista Sealey Came in for a pretty drastic change from long hair to a short bob and was extremely happy with the cut :) The staff was very friendly and welcoming, good price too. Definitely would go back.
