Whitney Gamber I had a very good experience with this nice lady. I was using box dye on my hair that just wasnt sticking and instead took on this orange hue, being a cool brown color. I was frustrated. I went in to her, i got a relatively quick appointment with her. I went in today nervous because I have had really bad experiences with stylists in town in the past. I think having a personality and just genuinely being a kind person goes along way when dealing with people. She has this attribute. I went in on a budget today and she made my hair look so nice. She did it in a way that appeared knowledgable. I am confident when I get grow out, it will blend well, she blended everything well, and you could really tell she is willing to put time and effort in. I have two little girls and my hair to deal with. She has appointments available and Im not waiting for months. I have another appointment with her next month, she will probably be my go to from now on.

Evelyn Johnson Even as a new client many decades her senior, Aliceea made me feel most welcome and very comfortable on my first visit. She has superb people skills, knows how to listen and is a talented stylist. I received exactly the haircut that I requested and look forward to my next visit. Making an appointment is easy either online or via telephone. The salon is delightfully decorated, very clean and has convenient street parking. The lovely young lady did a beautiful job repairing my haircut after washing. She was very pleasant and didnt say anything negative. I would recommend her to anyone.

Laura Dahlin I visited once last winter (2021)and had my hair done by Kerri. My hair turned out okay but her catching the brush on my eyebrow bar, leaving me sitting at the sink with my head cranked back while the water took time to warm, and scratching my scalp with her nails and not even asking if I wanted my hair dried or styled afterwards left a lot to be desired. Thought Id give it another try with a different stylist,(I had heard really good things about Amanda but she was busy) I had the new girl Hayley today and she did an amazing job! She took a lot of time to make sure my hair was all even, styled it beautifully afterwards and was very thoughtful with her actions. My only other comments are that the place could use a little deep cleaning/air filtering, but over all I had a much better experience.

James Richards I have been getting my hair cut for two years . At Newport buzz and trim . She is awesome. No other barber shop can even compete. She takes her time makes sure it is exactly what I like . I would highly recommend. I won’t go anywhere else I live 45min. Away and it is worth it for me .

DAVID MARSH Ive been going to this barbershop for around 6 months now and I have to say, its hands down the best barber Ive ever been to. Every time I walk in, Im greeted by name and made to feel like part of the family. The atmosphere is really cool, with a great vibe and a friendly, laid-back feel. But what really sets this place apart is the skill and attention to detail of the barber. She is a true artist, and takes the time to really listen to what I want and make sure Im happy with the end result. And speaking of the end result, its always fantastic! Ive never had a bad haircut or been anything less than thrilled with the way I look when I walk out of there. My friends and family are always complimenting me on my hair, and I owe it all to this amazing barber. Overall, I cant recommend this barbershop enough. If youre looking for a great haircut and a great experience, you wont find a better place than this. I give it a well-deserved 5-star rating and cant wait for my next appointment!

Kasey Rupert My son has long long ringlet curls we asked her not to take length off, just a few top layers in. She ruined my child’s beautiful hair he’s 9! I understand bad days but don’t work on bad days maybe when working in the profession you do! I had to make her stop after taking length off and didn’t dare let her touch my other child! As a mom I’m still so disappointed and hurt

In short, I arrived looking and feeling like a slob, but when my haircut was done, I felt like a king. Nice job !!!! Markpaul Santos Connies Cuts is one of the best hair cut experience I have had in the longest time. They remind me of getting a hair cut 20-30 years ago. With a simple walk-in and cash on the barrel. A paper sign-in sheet is all they have and all you need. No electronic sign-in, no app required, no email for login, no wifi, and no credit cards accepted. A big YES, for this techie. When I spend all day working on and troubleshooting computers. I always feel that Im their only customer, special. If slowing down from an already rush, rush, world sounds great to you, welcome home. Update 1.31.2024 Congratulations on having a packed house today at 4:24pm. Regardless of how busy it was, I felt very well cared for when it was my turn. Even after the closed sign was put up, there was no rush. Just same high quality hair cut and individual attention I have come to enjoy time and time again.

Nick O. As a long haired dude its hard to find a good barbershop. Ive been to just about every barber in the area with no great results until I wondered into Connies Cuts. The ladys in there know their stuff. I got a wonderful trim at a great price. They are very sweet, well dressed and the shop was clean. I wont be going anywhere else for my haircuts. A+.

Becki Kopelman Kinda have to agree with the "rude over the phone". Guess they are busy enough to not need or want new clients? I could have possibly waited for an opening, even at a month or two out, but presenting like you dont have time to answer 2 simple questions is a major turn off. Maybe hire a personable receptionist? 3 stars as I have not used their services. Just because their personable skills are lacking doesnt mean the hair skills are.

Poison Davis I went here for a trim before my brothers high profile wedding. I asked for 1 or 2 inches max, said I wanted an oval/arched cut not just a straight across and that I wanted to be able to wear my hair in a ponytail or bun. The stylist decided I wanted a bob cut and chopped 5-6 inches off first snip. She was to busy talking to listen. I had spent 3 years growing my hair out to have long hair and she chopped my hair so short I cant even wear a ponytail. The whole time she kept saying "I dont want you upset with me because you told me you wanted this" it was nothing close to what I asked for. My hair looks all choppy and uneven. She seemed so nice at first but she didnt care what I wanted and just kept cutting more off. Truly an aweful experience. I look like a little boy now. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone.

Wayne Blackburn Terrible business. One person doesnt know what the other(s) are doing. Make appointments week(s) ahead of time, then they decide someone else will do your hair, on the day of your appt, and cancel your appointment with the person you wanted, then call to see if this other person has time to do your hair. Charged my wife $83 for cutting hair, supposed to be a shag cut and highlighting it. The hairdresser said she could do it and then cut it all one length. Have to go back and get a shag cut for more money from them or find someone else that knows what they are doing. Dont waste your time with this place.
