Amy Sarkisian Id like to thank all your staff for your help and care so much. As an immigrant from Russia, I always have things to compare (not intentionally of course), and I can say I had never had such great experience in Russia. Going to a Russian medical center was always a challenge for me because the center itself was never renovated and staff goal was never to help but make you even more depressed...It is my first experience with the medical center in the US and when I came for the first time I was told I did the right thing and I would feel better. The outcome was I felt better. Not only they do their work so professionally, they also make you so comfortable, they smile, they let you speak up... As a person who always tries to look on the bright side and be positive, I do believe that positive attitude impacts each patients recovery. When I came for the first time I was miserable, now I feel better thanks to you! Dr Jeff Warner has helped me a lot, he definitely cares about patients not leaving any situation unsolved. Thank you! Alexa Maeve Avoid this place! Last night (11/22/22) I came in with flu symptoms and was corralled with all the other walk-in patients into a small rec room. This reckless endangerment was even more odd given that the actual waiting area was completely empty. Once inside you had to call a number to get in line, and wait on hold for up to 30 minutes to speak to a person who was literally sitting at reception in the main area. Despite arriving 5 minutes before the clinic opened I was asked to wait an hour and a half for an appointment. When I demanded to speak to a supervisor I was told that there were only 2 doctors for 23 patients (which was a lie, there were not even 10 patients) and that they had run out of flu tests the day before. No flu tests during flu season. An entire evening wasted. Come here at your own risk, you may leave sicker than you were when you arrived, and they will treat you like dirt because that is how "providers" treat patients in 2022. The worst clinic experience I have had in any country.

Sammy Rae Dont bother calling they dont answer their phones. I was able to get from my home to the clinic all while on hold only to discover a empty waiting room and two of the front desk staff playing on their phones. As if thats not terrible, the wait time are horrible. Waited three hours and all I saw was four people with me in the waiting. Mind you we all walk in together right when the clinic openned

Philicia Saephan Just wanted to rate the "Meditation" room, love the cozy feel and warm and heated room. Its slightly separated with a curtain, perfect for wanting a separate space. Great for sisters separating from praying with brothers. There are prayer mats available to use and I saw Meditation pillows. Its really nice to have these available for visitors especially because we could be visiting our loved ones all day or weeks. As a Muslim, Im happy that they have this for us. Thanks!

Roberta Tecumseh Edited:Our family’s experience at Harborview pediatric burn ICU was overall positive, & we are deeply thankful for the incredible care our son received during his stay. The medical team, including doctors, nurses, physical therapists, & occupational therapists, went above & beyond in saving his life. We witnessed so many staff members treating our son with immense care, respect, & love. Some nurses even took the time to pray for him, which meant so much to our family. The staff made him feel special, loved, & cared for, which helped him through such a challenging time. He developed close bonds with his own favorite medical team, & we are so grateful to all of them. Your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed, & we truly appreciate the amazing staff at your hospital. We want to express our deep gratitude for the hard work & commitment of the entire team involved in his care. From doctors to support staff, its clear that they all had a genuine concern for our son’s well-being, and we will forever be grateful for their efforts. We are incredibly thankful for the medical professionals at Harborview who helped save our son’s life. There are so many positive experiences that we can’t even list them all, and we’ve encountered countless respectful, kind, and hardworking professionals throughout our time there. A few challenging experiences don’t define the whole hospital, and the good far outweighs the negative. We appreciate the hard work, compassion, and dedication of everyone involved in our son’s care, and we are forever grateful for the support your team provided. Thank you to the entire medical team for everything you’ve done for our family! While our overall experience was very positive, there were a few areas where we felt there was room for improvement. 1 thing we would have appreciated is an option for parents to stay overnight with their children in the Pediatric Burn ICU, or at least to have a nearby space to sleep where we could be close to our baby. It was difficult to be away from him during such a critical time, and having the option to stay with him overnight would have been a comforting and necessary reassurance. There were also a few interactions that left us concerned. On 1 occasion, we observed a nurse applying hand sanitizer over her gloves when entering our sons room, which raised some concerns about infection control practices. Additionally, there was a nurse who was not as patient with our son when changing him. He was recovering from sensitive wounds on his bottom, & she changed him in a quick and aggressive manner, which felt unsettling given his condition. The same nurse was on shift when our son got a bump on his forehead. She removed a protective sheet from his crib railing, which had been placed there to keep him from injuring himself during tantrums. After he hurt himself, she only replaced the sheet afterward. We requested that this nurse not return, but despite our concerns, she was brought back by the aggressive charge nurse, whom we found to be less than respectful in her communication.The aggressive charge nurse of the unit, showed a lack of respect toward us and other visitors, including speaking inappropriately in front of our 3-year-old burn survivor. While we understand that stress can run high in such environments, we believe it’s crucial for staff to communicate respectfully, especially in front of vulnerable patients and their families. We voiced our concerns through the proper channels but did not see immediate changes. We believe that with some communication training, this aggressive charge nurse could be an even greater asset to the team, especially considering her experience as a burn survivor herself. Finally, while Harborview is an excellent hospital, there were limitations when it came to equipment for burn survivor children. Our son had to be transferred to Seattle Children’s Hospital, which had specialized equipment better suited to his critical care needs. That said, we are grateful to Harborview for stabilizing our son and giving him the opportunity to recover.

MLP photography Dr Michelle Quinn in Audiology has truly improved the quality of my life with my ever increasing complicated hearing issues. I’ve worn aids for 45 years; She is the best I’ve seen … If you can imagine how many times I’ve seen providers for fittings, tests, problems, routine appts etc. across the US since I was a kid, that should speak volumes. She is busy. She usually books at least three months out.

Ryan Jorgensen Had an unfortunate stay for ~7 weeks and visited many parts of this facility as well as encountered many staff members. ICU and TICU were both very professional departments that provided great care. PACU-B was where I first came out of intubation and was under the care of many wonderful nurses and technicians. The neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery teams both did excellent work on me to keep me alive. Radiology was always quick and they provided great care in keeping me comfortable while posturing for different images. Phlebotomy was mostly great; a few instances of digging for veins. A lot of travel nurses - some great, some not so great and borderline scary to be under care of. Housekeeping was okay. Sharing small rooms with other disabled patients kept expectations for immaculate cleanliness pretty low. Trauma nurses were all great and made me feel safe. Cafeteria is okay, but the staff members that delivered meals were always exceptionally kind and friendly. I felt a bit rushed out, but it was inevitable.

Skyler Noble I’m not sure if it’s just me but looking at the reviews, it’s not just me. I came into the Emergency Department after a very scary medical complication. I had never been in this amount of pain in my life. And I had never seen that much blood. I needed an ultrasound and a couple tests. I wasn’t asked if I needed water or a snack or blankets or anything. When I was told to go pee in a cup, the bathrooms made me feel SO immensely disgusting. There was poop and blood and vomit ALL OVER THE BATHROOM from the person who had previously used it and in the other bathroom had some dude who was having withdrawals. When I was walked to the back, I get that it’s really busy and chaotic, but there was ZERO privacy. This man had literal foam coming out of his mouth probably from a withdrawal and nobody seemed to be paying any attention or had any genuine concern or reason to pick up the speed. In fact the nurses were having the time of their lives laughing and running around like they didn’t chose this career to HELP PEOPLE?! I had to voice my whole story in-front of the whole ER which should be a HIPPA violation. I was there for 12 hours in agony and disgust of the state of this emergency rooms. Do not come here if you are looking for good bedside manner, up to standard rooms/ health codes, 10+ hour wait times. And NO FREAKING PARKING. I drove through THREE entire parking garages until I found one and then had to walk all the way across the entire hospital to get to the emergency room. Good Trauma and research teams, but avoid the ER at all costs‼️‼️

Sepideh Fakhri I do not recommend this clinic or any other Swedish Clinic as I find their pricing to be very aggressive, you will end up with unexpected charges, the customer service is non existent and the business will not respond in any way to inquiries. I visited Swedish and Dr Haris Ahmad for my annual check up which my insurance covers 100%. It was a nice visit until I received an invoice for a preventative visit PLUS a new patient visit for the same appointment. I move a lot for work therefore I change PCPs often and no doctor has so far charged me extra for collecting patient history on top of the preventative annual check up. I contacted Swedish by phone, wrote emails to their customer service and mailed them a written letter. They have not acknowledged any of my attempts and have not rectified the unnecessary charges they have made. This is a predatory business. Stay away if you can.

roman lemeshkov Disappointing and discouraging. Recently lost a good doctor relationship with Kaiser due to job/insurance change. Set up an appointment as a new patient. Two month wait - Ok, I get it. Re-arranged my tight work schedule. Received an e-mail 1 hour before the appointment with the news the doctor cant make it. Called in. Next appointment more than a month away. I get pushed back another month. This doesnt work for me. You "accept new patients" - you make it work for them. Stay after hours, if you have to, precious doctor. Build new relationships. Make it work for people who pay your bills. Never heard back from the receptionist or anyone else. Not good. As tempting as it is to mention the doctors name, I do believe its mostly the way these clinics are managed and the general state of our pathetic primary healthcare today.

Mindy Jones I drive all the way from West Seattle to here because the staff and doctors are so amazing. Theyre actually nice, they treat me like a human being, and they take my concerns seriously. I wish that this was the standard and medicine, but unfortunately it is not. I wish other facilities could do what this facility is doing and hiring good doctors with up-to-date information, that give good medical advice, and show that they truly care for people. Dr. Hutchinson is amazing! Even the people that work the front desk are nice and friendly. Hands down this is the best primary Care facility I have ever been to in my entire life.

Collin Mcgeowan Still requires a mask mandate... this is in 2025. After all the independent studies, showing masks do not help with the spread of viruses and germs and are only meant to be used to protect medical staff from spray contamination. This is not who I will trust with my health.

Aimeé Muul I did not care for Dr. Kulgren. May just be personality conflict, but also experienced a very frustrating issue with her office. I was scheduled by her scheduler for a procedure. The day I showed up they told me I did not have an appointment and therefore couldnt be seen. I complained to the doctor about it and she seemed completely uninterested in the issue or that I had taken time off work. Not much of a bedside manner. Cant speak to how good of a physician she is though.

Michelle McConnell Worst experience I have ever had at a doctors office. I got to my appointment on time and waited in line to check-in. Upon getting to the front they told me that since I was late they would have to reschedule my appointment.. mind you they have called me and rescheduled my appointment 3 TIMES prior, due to the doctor “having a meeting during that time.” I proceeded to refuse rescheduling because I was in fact on time. They finally got the doctor to agree to see me but said it would be a “significantly shorter appointment.” Dr Kulgren greeted me with a “you have 10 minutes” straight off the bat. I gave her 2 sentences of an explanation of my symptoms and what I have been experiencing and spent the next 8 sitting there as she talked AT me. Never once asking me how I felt or what I was going through. Overall, she was judgmental, rude, and inattentive. I threw away the forms they gave me to fill out and told the front desk it was not the right fit. I will never return. Awful experience.

Lvg Had a bisalp procedure this week and she was friendly and compassionate throughout the entire experience. My surgical scars are very symmetrical bc I told her it was important to me. I would absolutely recommend her to others seeking female sterilization.

chelsey armijo Dr Kulgren is very personable and down to earth. She walks in like she’s known you for years and remembers you, I’m sure she doesn’t but she still makes you feel that way. I’m nervous with every other doctor I’ve been to so seeing her is a breeze. I’ve gone to her for several years for gyno visits and she walked me through my first pregnancy. I will say there were things I wish I knew going into labor that would have been comforting (like the possibility of going into back labor and how difficult that would be), or knowing my rights as patient in labor. She was not on call for my delivery but I wish she was cuz I had an awful experience with whom ever was there. So I needed things to say to the covering doctor to actually get help. And whatever she did to kick start my labor after being a few days late was incredibly painful, idk what that was but I hated it, though it did immediately put me into labor so I guess it worked. Anyway, she is a fantastic doctor and always makes me comfortable even at my most vulnerable times. If you get intimidated by doctors please go to her.

David Lee Great hospital. Friendly staff, good facilities, and decent dining. There a Starbucks inside which is convenient. Its difficult to find d things though, like a lot of hospitals. I was trying to tell someone how to find our room and it was not easy. We were in the pediatric area and it was nice. The room was a bit cramped but otherwise nice. Had usual things you find, in addition had Xbox One, which was kinda cool for our son to pass time while healing up. Nurses were really nice and attentive and doctors as well.

Loran Greenwall Our case was a little different because we were adopting an unborn child from a young mom. We were very displeased with the way the staff treated everyone involved. This hospital showed a pattern of disrespect, unethical behavior, and lack of compassion. Adoption is a very heart wrenching and emotional roller coaster for all parties involved and they did not cater appropriately to any of the parties. The social worker and charge nurse lied to us about a list of things instead of being straight up and honest. The doctor and nurses added additional and unnecessary stress to the already high stress situation. They even went so far as to try and push their believes and opinions on the situation. The lack of education and ability to cater to diverse situations was astonishing. Even our lawyer who had done adoption for thirty years was blown away by their behavior. I hope they consider more education for this particular topic. Whenever I tell the story of my child’s birth I make sure to include our horrifying experience in this hospital so no one will have to suffer the way we did. We were robbed of many first time memories with our child. We will never get those back and it was all because of this uneducated, bigoted hospital staff. The only reason they deserve even one star is because of an excellent nurse on post partum who was very kind and understanding. She tried her hardest to make everyone comfortable within the situation. We will never forget the sweet tenderness of her kindness that night even if it was in vain.

Asher Laban My girlfriend spent 4 days in a surgical unit on floor 10. The staff here are extremely task oriented. Unfortunately, this means they have no bedside manner, they did nothing to instill my confidence in them, and they dont treat you like a person. The nurses pushed pills and never provided actual care. The residents and doctors seemed completely aloof and never even introduced themselves. Avoid this hospital unless youre absolutely desperate.

Fe Mischo I am writing this my 1st day after surgery. This hospital has the absolute best staff. Everyone that I have had an interaction with has been exceptional. From the janitor up to the doctors. I would recommend this hospital to anyone. They truly have gone above and beyond to make sure I am happy and taken care of. I have been coming here since February and have not had one bad experience. Thank you to everyone that took care of me, You are all wonderful.

Vannie Beerman What a disappointment. My father and my late mother had been receiving care from Dr. Jamie Novias for over 20 years. I havent been able to get a response from anyone in a timely manner and it took me 3 weeks to hear anything from anyone about a referral. Speaking to a nurse is apparently impossible, to get any results after hours dont bother calling anyone here, unless you want to speak to the annoyed Dr. on call who "doesnt personally know the patient". Youve lost any and all respect from me Minor and James. You need to get a grasp on what it means to be a health professional and a place that people can count on for decent care.

Official LMR Went here for a Root Canal. Only received half of the root canal. Had to fight with them about obtaining a payment plan because im disabled and on welfare because of it. One of the dental assistants clicked thier teeth at the state of the tooth they were working on. Secretary left before I was done so had to receive a phone call to schedule the follow-up appointment. no pain killer prescriptions despite half of my nerve being removed and a hole in my tooth being drilled. Will adjust review after follow up appointment.

T Vaziri Avoid this Hospital emergency room at all costs. Most of the time, the place is overcrowded, and the staff seem unqualified or dismissive. I went there with a severe headache and body pain, but the nurse simply told me that nothing was wrong. I later overheard he saying to someone else that I had "bruises" on my body. The next day, I felt much worse and decided to go to Overlake Hospital in Bellevue. They ran a blood test and discovered my white blood cell count was three times higher than normal. If you value your health and want proper care, do not go to this hospital.

Tara Camilli Surprised at some of these comments. It is like people forget that in this post-Covid era, EVERYONE is overworked and understaffed, especially in healthcare. People who are expecting pre-2020 levels of butt-kissing and full staffing are going to be disappointed for a while, if not always. I have always had exceptional care here and by UW Medicine as a whole. Have I had to wait longer when I go in person than pre-Covid times? Yes (love telehealth, btw, when appropriate). Are people tired? Yes. Am I going to hold it against them? No. Especially when it is clear they are not taking something out on me or trying to be rude to me, they are just human with human emotions that cannot always be controlled, especially if they are getting ragged on all day by people who are upset at things out of their control. Everyone is doing the best they can, including you reading this I bet, so give them (and everyone, like, in life) a break. The care is top notch and they are a lot better than other short-staffed places.

Lydia Moore I wish I could do 1-star. This facility does not seem to care about their patients and have made that prominent to me not just once, but 5 times. I just want to be seen and have a doctor that cares about their patients and not just ticking off the box. Every time I have had a virtual appointment my care team has been 20 + minutes late. Since this has been a trend, the care team may as well schedule the appt for when they are going to actually come on, instead of wasting the time that their patients have to take off of work and pay.

Maria Munoz They scheduled me immediately for the next day once they heard of my ankle injury that wasnt healing well. Normally getting an appointment can take longer, but when they sensed the urgency, they were very supportive and fast about finding solutions. Quiet location, the service is excellent and theyre caring about their patients.

Troy Goracke This is a great historic building, nicely renovated inside while keeping the 1930s charm and style. Had a meeting in a room on the 8th floor with amazing panoramic views of Seattle and the surroundings. Spectacular. There is a parking garage conveniently located on the grounds at a reasonable rate. If you have an opportunity for business or pleasure to visit, I highly recommend the visit.

Brad Wagenaar Avoid PacMed for your primary care needs. Two separate instances we have ended up with expensive bills for a visit scheduled as "Primary Care Visit" when during the appointment the provider either asked about mental health concerns (which is a key part of primary care and covered under the ACA and a key part of a primary care visit), or did a routine brief and not requested skin examination as part of the physical and both times then retroactively billed the visit NOT as a "primary care visit". I am unsure this is legal but either way their billing department, the provider themselves, and the organization as a whole have not responded to numerous formal letters, messages, or other ways of trying to get this fixed. Avoid this place unless you want to be treated similarly. It sounds like some previous reviewers have had similar or the exact same experience, so clearly this is a pattern.

Mark Ive been going to this clinic to see my primary care physician for at least 7-years now. I was in my 20s and lived nearby when I began using this clinic for follow-up care after a major medical event. I sometimes cant see my doctor because theyre over-booked, so I get in with a resident instead. Ive never had a bad experience with this. I see my primary care physician a few times each year, and if I have an emergent situation the residents always take great care of me. I strongly recommend UW General Internal Medicine, and all UW medical services in general. I had a near-death experience in 2018 and I wouldnt be alive if it werent for UW Hospital and UW General Internal Medicines thorough follow-up care.

Ranjana Dobal I came here for my annual preventive medical check up on Jan 31st 2024 and met Dr. Elizabeth C Tower. I requested for hemoglobin and Vit D tests only but the doctor asked me if I wanted to get a bunch of other tests done such as Hep A etc. I asked the doctor if these are going to be covered by my insurance. The doctor kept saying that these would be covered as this is a preventive annual medical check up. I was charged $142 for several tests such as HC Vitamin D 25-Hydroxy, HC Ferritin, HC Iron Serum, HC Transferrin, HC Hepatitis A IGG AB, HC CBC. They refuse to change the diagnosis and procedure codes to the following for the preventive blood draws: Diagnosis Code: Z0000; Procedure Code: 36415 I have tried to contact the doctor but I do not receive any response from them. Somebody from the staff replied last week on MyChart that they will review this and it has been 4 months, yet nothing has changed in the bill. Not coming here again for sure.

Li Yang Booked an annual checkup the previous month, and my in-person visit was being changed to tele visit due to doctor not feeling well. Cool, I rescheduled my annual checkup to the next month. Due to the job change, I havent got my insurance number yet but my insurance will apply retroactively. Was told that I cant see the doctor due to not having insurance. And either Ill need to pay them a $250 deposit which they will not refund and which is not guaranteed to be reimbursed by my insurance, or Ill need to reschedule. Ive decided to go with another hospital because they do allow the patient to visit doctors and they wait few days to bill the patient once their insurance becomes active. I wish I can give a zero rating for this hospital because thats the most accurate rating but unfortunately its not allowed.

Jason Hahn I have always had excellent care here. Great doctors, nurses, and medical assistants. My advice would be to ask to be seen by an attending physician. The wait time to get in can be longer but its better that way if you think you will be coming here for a while. The residents rotate like every 12-24 months which can be a bit disconcerting. Once I found an attending that I liked it went from really good to perfect.

The nurses are great but doctors here do not care to get yiu heal they just keep referring you and bouncing you around. I had just moved from west seattle and made an appointment to see a primary practioner Dr karlsen. I came because i had been having gut issues for quite some time and also had been going to ER due to abdominal pain more than few times, Ive always had irregular periods for some time now but now it was getting worse and had pain as well. Anyway she referred me to Dr.miller where they did a ultar sound twice. Tye 1st time they told me it look abnormal so I was going to see Mr.miller a OG and then he said eveything was fine that maybe I should take birth control for the bleeding. 4 months later Im still in pain, done a parasite cleanse, having blood in My stool plus some more stuff I dont wanna get much into but I had called them to make another appointment with anyone that is willing to help. The care team actually seem to care they called me twice to get my symptoms and history Ive told him how very concerned I was and they said that Dr. Nancy Simon was the best the is a director there and would look into my case. I was finally thinking I would get some help. Some testing done. They scheduled me for the 9th. I get a phone call today the 6th saying that the doctor will not see me. That I would have to go see doctor karlsen again !! That she would probably send me a refferel to someone else due to all my symptoms and stuff !!! Her next avaliable appointment would be the 30th !! But for what wen shes gonna just try to get rid of me too. ... like I seriously lost all trust in western medicine they dont know how to get bottom of things. They jusy keep people guessing whats wrong with them and dont care to cure them. On top of it they just give u drugs to go away. Im very upset. For this doctor to see how serious my symptoms are and just brush me off like that ? Disgusting... Shame on you. Just useless

Janel Howat I have had the pleasure of working with Dr Huang for almost two years and couldnt be happier with her as my physician. One trait I really appreciate about her is her kindness towards patients (especially those who might be struggling more than others). Dr Huang has always treated me with kindness and respect and always makes me feel like I am a priority. Another thing I appreciate about her is her dedication to making her patients feel their best and working with them and not "telling" what them to do. Not all providers are "willing" to make healthcare a partnership and I feel fortunate Dr Huang is one of the ones who truly values building good patient relationships. I cant recommend her enough!

Amira Cheng Shes unhelpful, and her medication is driving me sufficiently worse. Never go to see her again. Update: I tried so hard to get myself healthy again. I couldnt imagine how she got her MD certificate given the fact that she gave her patients wrong diagnosis and medications. She made my illness severely worse. For anyone who believes in the 4.8 rating on her website, I hope you could think twice and make the best and wise decision for yourself. Worst doctor Ive ever met, in terms of the fact that I got terribly worse after I went to her as my "doctor".

Anna Wasewicz I wanted to express my disappointment with Dr. Diana Huang following a recent physical. During a routine question about my well-being, I unwittingly triggered additional charges for diagnoses like anxiety by telling her how I feel. This billing approach, while possibly legal, strikes me as manipulative and, frankly, unethical. Dr. Diana Huang was not transparent with me about these charges so it came as a surprise to me when I was billed. A quick online search revealed that this is not an isolated incident, making it clear that such practices are unfortunately common amongst many PCPs. Ive never encountered this issue with previous healthcare providers. A physical examination should foster open communication without fear of unexpected financial consequences. While the legality may be debatable, the moral implications are undeniable. Regrettably, I cannot recommend Dr. Diana Huang based on this experience. I hope my feedback encourages a reevaluation of billing practices within the medical community, emphasizing the importance of patient trust.

Mandy Landa Received an erroneous bill. The person on the phone didnt want to research the issue (which was a Swedish issue by the way). She was rude and cut me off mid-sentence. I requested to escalate and she placed me on hold and came back five minutes later, telling me that I would need to call back in. If they continue with these tactics, Im five minutes away from hiring an attorney and going to the press.

John Delaney Pros are they have some very good doctors and I like the hospital. This is why I moved all my healthcare there a year ago. Cons are there is no coordination or communication between doctors so you feel like you’re starting over on every visit, and they are unable to deal with urgent medical needs. Patient Relations also never replies to communications if you want to raise an issue. So doctors I give 4 stars to. Overall patient experience is zero stars, so my rating of 2.

MJ Montgomery Patient care from the doctors and most RNs were great. There was a traveling nurse who accused one of my family members with interfering with my mother’s care while she was a patient there. A different nurse (who wasn’t there during the interaction) pulled my family member out of the room, to sign a paper admitting to interfering with my mother’s care. The family member was advocating for my mother since the nurses were not listening to her and her needs - regarding pain management. My mother had extensive surgery. At 1 AM in the morning, when she finally fall asleep that same nurse flipped on the light and started grabbing my mother’s stuff telling us we needed to move to another room immediately so they could accommodate somebody else coming out of surgery. They moved us a couple of rooms down. No one else occupied that room for over 12 hours. From that moment, we requested not to allow that RN back in my mother’s room. My mother, stayed for a few days there. I stayed with her there. The cafeteria had good food options. I tried the salmon burger, cheeseburger, Philly, tater tots, fries, onion rings, and salads. The cafeteria had decent food. The hospital is like a maze, pretty much like every other hospital. By the time you learn all the routes, it’s time to go home. Parking is terrible, and expensive! There is some to our parking, but it is very limited and you have to walk a distance. The parking garage has plenty of parking.

Ron Bain The care that they provided was unbelievable. I was there for 5 days and the doctors and nurses went in my opinion above and beyond. As a patient usually you cant wait to get home and leave the hospital but in this place the kind of care that they give was sincere and didnt want to leave. The nurse Brenda who was one of the ones taking care of me would follow the people who will take blood every morning and Brenda will take my vitals right after that so I didnt have to be awake and twice. If infact you need any type of cardio work done highly recommend this hospital. Ron Bain

a cordova Swedish misinformed me about my insurance coverage applying multiple times off the record, then sent my bills to collections in the middle of the financial assistance process. Dont even talk to them in person, only use recorded calls and verify everything independently with your insurance. Low standard of care as well, all I got for my money attempting to diagnose my ongoing sleep issues was a big shrug. Will never be visiting a Swedish location again and will specifically choose insurance to ensure other local hospitals are in network in the future

Mandy Landa Primary care service has gone way down. Appts that were once an hour are now 15 mins. Most of that 15 minutes is the doctor repeating the exact same questions that I just filled out in the questionnaire. Instead of scheduling tests in advance of the visit, the doctor schedules them after the visit with no follow up except a mostly one way email. Care seems to be one-sided without any consideration about what I, the patient, might want to do with my body. I’m looking elsewhere, although I’m not sure what I can find given the state of medical care these days. I would like to simply find a doctor that I felt was listening and thinking instead of following a procedure laid out by the hospital administration.

However, Eugena’s kindness shone through as she promptly asked if I needed assistance, igniting the entire process. Marshawn Woods My first extended stay in a hospital was here for 6 days in January. They took great care of me. The medical staff understood my anxieties & made me feel as comfortable as possible. The doctors made sure I understood the nature of my situation & provided me with any information I needed, financial support, including a note for my employer. The view was great, the food was good & I had a low sodium menu. The most special part of my stay was the staff: MAs, CNAs, RNs.. Every single one made me feel like I was their only patient & treated me that way. I was scared, anxious, never been admitted to a hospital before & was there for something serious & by the time I left I wanted to write a thank you note to everyone I encountered. They are the real MVPs. Thank you. - Kind Regards

Kate Stutzman In 2022 my college roommate and good friend broke her leg in 3 places and was taken to this hospital. They were horrifically terrible. We were both 18, scared out of our minds, had no family in state and no car. We were pushed out of the hospital at 2 am while my friend screamed in pain with no ride home and told we had to be back at 6am the following morning. They did absolutely nothing to help us and treated my friend like a criminal for being hurt. These are terrible unkind people I do not recommend visiting if you have any other option.

Parvin Vika I delivered my baby at this hospital (though my provider was Northwest Women’s Healthcare, not Swedish). The nurses were absolutely amazing and took excellent care of us! We have nothing but wonderful memories of the hospital and its staff. However, one suggestion: During labor, a doula was brought in to offer services, which felt like an awkward sales pitch. Despite respectfully declining, the doula returned just 15 minutes before I was about to push and later again during baby’s latching session, even though I had explicitly requested a lactation consultant multiple times. This part of the experience was uncomfortable. Overall, the care we received from the nursing team was exceptional, and we are grateful for their support during such an important moment in our lives.

YIsForYellow One of the worst experiences I have ever had at any medical facility. They locked me in a poorly lit, confined room for nearly several hours, gave me little food, and whenever I would advocate for myself, they would blatantly ignore me. It wasnt until I started to have a severe mental breakdown did they allow me to leave the premises, but even then they had to gather security, as they somehow saw me as a threat. I was the only one to be treated this way, whereas everyone else was treated fairly. This was a genuinely isolating, and traumatic experience.

Tiffany Lovern My mother-in-law just underwent surgery at this location and thankfully came out with a successful outcome and had a wonderful and thorough surgeon. However, prior to surgery, the tech who drew her blood decided to bring all of her problems into the room with her. She stuck my mother-in-law with the needle without her even knowing, then proceeded to TOSS the blood vials onto the bed with an attitude. The nurse in the room asked for a drop of blood from the needle for another test and the lab tech, tossed out the needle and said something along the lines of "do your own job" and left, causing my poor mother-in-law to be stuck AGAIN. This was completely unprofessional behavior and caused the patient more distress than necessary before a surgical procedure. I sincerely hope that tech is fired as she had the bedside manner of a porcupine.

Diana R The ER lobby was dirty, the ER rooms itself looked a bit run down. The staff were fine but I feel the set up was just not entirely appropriate. Once you speak to a provider in the back they take you back out to a cubicle in the ER lobby to wait to be called for any lab or imaging to be done and then also to get your results/ follow up with provider afterwards. You have someone on either side of you and the walls are probably 4ft tall. Literally almost no privacy and you can clearly hear doctors discussing results / treatment plans etc with a patient next to you.. Just overall not comfortable and even if this is “allowed” does not seem appropriate or private in a healthcare setting while receiving care. I understand this is likely to free up rooms in the back but we must have better options than this. Also as far as the wait I’ve been told 45min-1 hour for results and it’s been well over an hour and a half and still no results have come back.

McMorris Overlake has cared for our family in multiple emergencies, four deliveries, and a surgery. All were excellent experiences with positive outcomes. The staff and doctors are consistently friendly, compassionate and professional. My youngest daughter still refers to the ED team that cared for her by name and considers them friends (7 years later). Overlake is a special place- a community caring for their community!

Josephine Liu I had an amazing experience during my delivery at Overlake Hospital on 5/1, thanks to the incredible care from Trish Fleming, Maddie, and Brittany. Trish Fleming was by my side from 7:30 AM to 7 PM, offering unwavering support and care through every moment. She noticed I had heavier-than-usual bleeding and promptly called the OB to ensure everything was okay. When I experienced unbearable pressure with my epidural, the pain was so intense I could only rely on deep breathing and meditation to get through it. Seeing me in tears, Trish immediately called in a compassionate anesthesiologist, who was a lifesaver. He used a diluted epidural that targeted the bottom area with wider coverage, finally relieving 50% of the pressure and allowing me to breathe normally again. Trish’s dedication didn’t stop there. She patiently coached me through pushing, helping me try different techniques and positions, and encouraging me to wait for stronger contractions for more effective pushes. Her constant presence and expertise made all the difference during this challenging time. Maddie stepped in during the final hours, offering to count during pushing and providing calm, steady support. After delivery, Brittany gave excellent postpartum care, ensuring my recovery and my baby’s health were well-managed. I’m deeply grateful for the outstanding care I received from this incredible team, especially Trish, whose kindness, attention, and expertise turned a difficult experience into one of strength and support. Thank you all!

J Seeb I almost died due to negligence of the staff in Overlake hospital. I was admitted with Sepsis and extreme pain. The staff young nurses who are way under qualified and careless. Primarily the night shift. I heard a patient wailing and strange sounds. I heard the nurses talking about this patient that they will not attend they feel worried and unsafe. In my case the pumped me full with pain killer due to the extreme pain. However I needed to go to the bathroom to empty my bladder. The nurse told me that I should be fine, she saw me go to the bathroom throughout the day. I told her I only have small amounts come out not a full stream. She ignored me and walked away. I rang her again and told her of the pain in my bladder and if she does not get a a catheter I will sue her and the hospital. She said she can’t do it and has to contact the MD. It took her about 20 min to get it going. Then she attempted to insert the catheter but was not able to do it. Now 40 min later. I was in so much misery. I told her to get someone who knows how to do it. After 15 min she came with a young male nurse and he had a hard time. Since I worked in the medical field I had to instruct him how to do it. While I was in pain and my bladder nearly at exploding. Once the catheter was in it drained over 1500 ml. The nurse than said “ I guess you were full”! No apology, nothing. The room was in such bad condition it seemed it was from the 3rd world country. My room maid was often in distress and the nurses hardly checked on him, so I had to use the call button as well to direct their attention to him. After I was released I wrote the hospital administrator to complain, but she played it down that it was only about 500 ml. What can I say, many under qualified individuals who truly don’t care about patients but only about the revenue. Sad state of affairs !!! I don’t have to use vulgar language to let them know that they have no integrity and many should switch jobs. They are not compassionate people who truly look out for the well being of patients!

Rod Mael I was there three days ago for a very simple procedure that is still considered "surgical". It was a non invasive knee manipulation. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a medical facility in my 75 years. Horrible and a real nightmare. I had three "wrist bands" that had important information including my hard of hearing - particularly on the left side. They were not looked at by the many people who came and went and handled me. They were incompetent. It took three different people to place an IV in my arm and it was the most painful experience of that kind I have had in my 75 years. The arm they gave up on is still black and blue, painful and I am monitoring it for infection. Later, I spent hours in the recovery area when it was only supposed to be a few minutes. (we asked a number of doctors about this at that time.) This hospital gets an F- grade on communication as they kept me and my wife in the dark until I got demanding of the truth with them and they would mumble something about held up for paperwork. It was horrible laying there. I believe they have nice people who either are unable to perform important processes OR (as we witnessed) processes are ignored and bungled. Their lack of processes and people who are competent was scary. I will never go back there and would urge people to go elsewhere, even if that means using a different doctor who is aligned with a different hospital. This experience was a horrible nightmare that was supposed to be a simple matter that took a few minutes. Terrible. Update - See the "response". Disappointing that responses indicate they will answer questions or make excuses rather than indicate that they REALLY take input seriously and will take steps to 1. Train incompetent people AND 2. Review processes to see where they fail. Stay away from this place. They do not care about customers or improving.

Muir Brayden (Bam) Absolute disaster of organization in the billing department. My wife had a miscarriage due to a molar pregnancy, and after we had done the inter uterine aspiration to remove the tissue, they incorrectly had her do fetal labs. We wrongly assumed it was blood tests to follow up on the molar pregnancy, because those were ordered as well. We have tried many times the last 6 months to get the incorrect charges waived talking to the Lab, our doctors, and multiple different billing departments, who all just played hot potato to the next person. No one knows what they are doing and they expect us to figure out the system? What a joke. They wanted us to get a waiver form signed, we asked our doctor and they had no idea what this was, but assured us they would look into it and get it taken care of. They didn’t. A month later, my wife still had the billing department after her for the lab charges, and a constant reminder of the physical hell she’s already been through. We ended up paying the bill for blood tests on a fetus that didn’t exist, just so we don’t have to live another day being reminded of what a terrible experience this has been. It shouldn’t be our job as patients to fix your mistakes as a healthcare unit. Figure it out.

Sue Ellen White I was referred for a procedure here and called the number provided to schedule an appointment only to reach a voice message that sounded in voice and tone as though I’d reached either the morgue or HAL 9000. After a month, still no return call. Fortunately, my doc sent me elsewhere where they promptly and cheerfully answered the phone. I will never use this facility.

R Lane Pharmacy botched my organ transplant anti-rejection meds twice in one week. I simply would not have got those doses if I would have not taken the initiative myself. Nurse left IV connected to me for hours with machine turned off. Told the other nurse she was not to disconnect my IV because I was not her patient. Cafeteria cooked the lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles for the sandwich. Caesar salad no dressing, pulled pork sandwich no bread, refused to give me chicken with the chicken & pasta entre sayingng it would be 2 entres. . .it is part of the same dish. Would not cover fruit or vegetables on tray. Too much.

Caz Had to go here for a bad bout of pneumonia the other day; staff were exceptionally kind and helpful to me and my spouse, and notably also saved my life. Proud of and incredibly thankful to all those nurses and doctors - the UW system is a good one.

J M AVOID! Worst lab experience Ive ever had. There was nobody at registration, I had to call to check in. I was made to wait for an hour as other people who came after me were repeatedly seen ahead of me. I called the lab and they told me to keep waiting. I had to talk to the lab tech to actually be seen. I dont know whether this was due to gross incompetence or discriminatory malice but either way, horrible experience. I will never return to this place. Worth noting that they were out of crappy surgical masks in the lab area, and one of the facilitys exterior sliding doors was broken (I had to open it manually). The place is a disaster.

Charles Snell I was a patient for approximately 3 years dealing with an ongoing issue. Dr. Hawkins was a godsend who was able to diagnose and treat my condition when other doctors I saw couldn’t. She and the staff were very cordial, knowledgeable and understanding, and were ultimately able to resolve the issue and let me get on with my life. Nobody truly wants to have to see a specialist of this type, but I recommend this office if you are ever in need of one.

Jacalyn Holsted The aftercare of the UW medical center is well below standard of care. Lack of communication, poor communication, lack of experienced staff overseeing and managing inexperienced medical staff, lack of reading medical charts so unnecessary questions for sick patients. Any patient required to seek medical care here should find a close acquaintance to spend as much time as possible with the patient to watch medical care, advocate for the patient and keep a close watch for medical issues.
