5 /5 Pnwtails _: I want to preface this review by saying that I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to car repairs. Finding someone that I trusted was a long, arduous process. A&C Automotive is right down the street from me so I figured I’d give them a try. My first experience with them was for an oil change. My car uses full synthetic so I was expecting a rather pricey oil change. Total cost came to about $70. Compare this to the nearly $100+ that Jiffy Lube charges for the same job. I also noticed that, unlike Jiffy Lube, they placed a sticker in my window for my next oil change. Instead of telling me my next change HAD to be in 3,000 miles, they wrote me down for the next 10,000 miles (common for full synthetic from what I hear). My next job for the shop was for strange noises I was hearing in the front of my tires. They were able to pinpoint the source of the problem and give me a detailed rundown of what was happening and what it was likely going to cost. I was given two estimates: one for $500 and one for $1200. It shows a lot of honesty that they didn’t try charging me for the $1200, regardless of the work done. The job was done in good time and I haven’t had an issue since. All of the employees are very professional and talk to me like a person. Being a woman, it’s common for shops to try and up charge for unnecessary work. I give a lot of credit to Janice for being so helpful and professional. Overall, I’d recommend this local shop to anyone needing work done.
