5 /5 Joel Anderson: We don’t always have car trouble, but when we do we take it to Troy Auto. They have always been honest and done good work for us.
Most recently my wife’s Kia needed a tow hitch replaced on recall. We took it to the Kia dealership for them to perform the recall. I decided to have them take a look at an (admittedly) bad oil leak. Kia performed the recall and told us the oil leak would close $6,000 to fix because it had progressed from the oil pressure switch to other systems and wiring harnesses and everything was fried.
Time for a second opinion! Enter Troy Auto who (correctly) diagnosed the leak as coming from the oil pressure switch. No other issues were noted. They fixed the issue for about $200. The car has been running great since then, no oil leaks, and no other issues that would have been present with $6,000 worth of damage.
They have also, on previous repair, been nice enough to give me wife a ride to work when she dropped it off for a different issue. That was completely unexpected and she really appreciated it!
These are good people. Highly recommend.
