5 /5 SloMo Bay: 2 days before New Years Eve, my 79 year old mother in law fell and broke her hip. The nearest Emergency Room was at French Hospital. I’ve never been to this Facility and had no idea what to expect. Upon entry we were met by a friendly and helpful staff. They put our family at ease and took good care of her. The following day she had surgery (pins inserted). The surgeon, anesthesiologist, and nurse all spent time with her to put her at ease. Needless to say, the surgery went well and we were able to take her home the following day.
I am a recently retired Southern California law enforcement officer who has spent more time in emergency rooms than I care to remember. I’ve seen the very best of service and the less than ideal. Based on that reference point I give French Hospital an unequivocal 5-stars. From patient care, to bedside manner, to family communication, this place was fantastic.
