5 /5 Katherine Lin: I cannot recommend Dr Kao or his office more highly. First, his front office is extremely nice and helpful, going above and beyond to fit me into his already busy schedule as a new patient. Next, Dr. Kao is exactly what you want in a doctor-really smart and experienced, as well as compassionate and kind. He takes the time to answer all your questions, and as a patient, I could tell he really cared about me and getting to know me. He is someone I would recommend to all my friends and family!!

4 /5 David E. Weekly: Dr. Kao is friendly and professional. This is a good place to go for a colonoscopy, which is not a *fun* thing but an important thing. Scheduling and prep was unpleasant but very clear and well communicated. My only gripe was that the prep nurse (who was cheerful and professional) honestly did a lousy job with the IV prep. Two days later I still have bruises on my arm from the failed insertions. Extremely painful! She was complementing me on my vein structure as she "fished around". Yikes. Overall would definitely recommend this place for an otherwise unpleasant procedure as they are very professional and well-run. The doctor is great.

5 /5 Scott Blanton: I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Roger Kao and his incredible team! From the moment I arrived for my procedure, I felt like I was in the best hands. Dr. Kao and his staff were not only professional but also incredibly warm, caring, and empathetic. Hes a doctor who really knows how to get to the bottom of things (no, that wont be the last pun...unfortunately). I was initially nervous about having my procedure done without anesthesia, but the team immediately put me at ease. They explained everything thoroughly and made sure I felt calm and relaxed throughout the process. To my surprise, the procedure wasn’t bad at all! Seriously, on a pain scale (1-10) it never got more than a 2--and that was only for about a second. I know pain tolerance is subjective, but I had NO pain during this procedure (Pain is in the brain!). Dr. Kao and his team’s calming presence and genuine concern for my comfort made all the difference. I feel bad because I forgot the name of the lovely lady who was talking in my ear and calming me, literally the entire time, while Dr. Kao was....getting to know me. The whole team kept me calm and even made me laugh during the procedure--Who knew a colonoscopy could be this much fun?! Dr. Kao and his team are not just skilled, theyre also incredibly compassionate. He and his team never made me feel like just another patient; they treated me like a person and I genuinely felt cared for. So, if youre looking for a gastroenterologist who will handle your care with dignity, professionalism, and maybe even a little humor, I cant recommend Dr. Kao enough.
