I was referred to Emilyne, for cut and color. I wont lie to you, I was anxious, and nervous at the same time. I myself know how picky I am, and I also have hair trauma from years ago. I put that aside, and went with the referral. I reached out to her, sent her photos of what l wanted, and she was able to get me in the same day, which I thought was very kind. I already knew that meant she was going to be working very late that evening. When I arrived for my appointment, she was very personable, and very warm. We had a brief consultation, we spoke about the cut and the color and I of course showed photos once again. While I was in the chair, it felt very comfortable. There were a few others working as well, and everyone was very friendly.
They offered me refreshments, they offered me popcorn, and it was nice to just be able to relax and watch a movie they had playing on the TV. One thing ! noticed that I really loved was all the teamwork. Its really refreshing and nice to see that positive energy in a workplace amongst colleagues. After Emilyne cut my hair, she then proceeded to do a full weave. While I was processing, she was very engaged and asking me about my time in Santa Barbara, what I did for work, and my family, It was nice that she cared to ask. Once I was finished processing, she put a toner and let that process for about 30 minutes. She then took me back to the shampoo, bowl and washed and conditioned my hair, which was lovely.
Back to the chair I went for my blow dry and style. As she was curling my hair. One of the curls dropped down to my face, and I got a glimpse of the color and I was so excited I couldnt wait to see the whole thing. When she turned me around, tears fell from my eyes. I couldnt believe how beautiful my hair looked, and how everything I asked for was achieved by her. She is nothing short of talented, a true artist.
It has now been a week since I had my appointment. I get stopped at least 2 to 3 times a day with compliments in regards to my hair. Many people have said its the best theyve ever seen my hair look.
