Leigh Cassidy (Casssss) I’ve been a loyal Great Clips customer, visiting various locations across the U.S., and have always had experiences that were either great or just okay. However, my recent visits to the Great Clips in Bartow left me with mixed feelings.
My first visit was excellent—the stylist was fast, efficient, friendly, and communicative, taking care of all my needs without pressuring me into anything extra. It was a pleasant experience that I expected from Great Clips.
Unfortunately, my second visit was disappointing. The atmosphere was unwelcoming, with three employees who seemed like they hated their jobs. The stylist who cut my hair was particularly negative, making several remarks about my hair that felt unprofessional. She seemed irritated throughout the session and made snarky comments when she encountered difficulties. It felt like she was trying to upsell products without directly saying so, but without the proper training to do it effectively.
Getting a haircut can be an intimidating experience, especially when the stylist is inches away with scissors. I usually give stylists the benefit of the doubt and let them do what they’re comfortable with, but this experience left me feeling uncomfortable and unsatisfied. While I still tipped the stylist, I honestly feel she didn’t deserve it.
The overall vibe in the shop made it clear that the employees were not happy to be there, which ultimately made me decide that Great Clips is no longer the place for me. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere, where my money will be better spent on a professional stylist who values customer service.
