Gun Slinging Gringo Best place for a pedicure and manicure. As of today 9/21/22 it’s only $40 for both. Every other place around here is charging you $50 and up for the same thing. So the prices are super reasonable and everyone is super friendly when you go in. I think this place is a hidden gem that you should all go check out. Don’t mind the pics of my hoofs. They were a lot worse when I brought them in haha

Im so particular about my nail shape and I hate going to new places because I always feel like theyre annoyed with me. She was so nice and her shaping was perfection. I like my nails thin and just barely softened stiletto and she nailed the length, shape & thickness.

Melissa Mawani I’m so happy I decided to have a pedicure at my nail salon , which is local to me, and was a Last minute decision . This was my first time there and everyone was very friendly, kind , and accommodating. The salon was very nicely decorated and spotlessly cleaned .You can tell the owners take great pride in the way it looks and the way they represent their business. I had a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean as well! I was very happy with my pedicure and paraffin wax treatment, Nick took his time and made sure everything was just right, with a little assistance from Emily. Lindsey Anderson So I usually love this place but a week ago I had the worst experience. My nail tech made me feel i was the biggest inconvenience. Was on her phone before starting nails and in between for minutes at a time. She didn’t know I had asked for a pedi, and mani so when it came time for the mani, she seemed to give off this attitude that she didn’t have time for me to get my nails done. I asked for gel, and not even a week later they are peeling. I wasn’t offered a drink and everyone around me was. I go out of my way to go here but Idk if i will next time. I had Bao a long time ago and he was AMAZING, but i had someone different this past time and she made me not want to go back.

Jessica Moulton Came in for a new SNS set and pedicure. Despite choosing one of the deluxe pedicures, it was the fastest pedicure I’ve ever had. Felt like the nail tech was in a huge rush to be somewhere. I had requested SNS set several times but the tech started to pull out acrylic powder before I reminded her again. She changed to SNS but one week later they’re all popping off. I’ve been getting SNS for years and have never had this happen. They typically stay on and don’t need to be filled for 2-3 weeks. I’ve never had them pop off before. Obviously they don’t know how to apply SNS properly here.

Christina B I absolutely love this place every time I go in there, I challenge them. They meet my expectations every time. It may look a little bit different from the picture that I show them but always happy with the end result. They work well together as a team to make sure you get the best results for what you asked for. Theyre pedicures are very relaxing better than a lot of places Ive been. I will be going there for now on for sure.

Karly Warren This is only my second time here. I was so excited to find a salon that cared for their clients and left them feeling happy. But today that all changed! After today I left feeling very sad and upset as well as several fingers now sore with cuts on them. My tech Kelly was rushing so fast she cut 3 of my fingers with the nail file right as she started my fill in. Then when I asked her for some antiseptic spray or anything to help with the burning sensation she replied with so do you want a sticker. I had to pull my hand away several times due to my tech cutting my fingers and making them bleed. Once painted it was still burning from the file cuts and reluctantly i chose to get a pedi also. Then the same thing started happening with my toes. She cut me with the foot file and I mentioned to please slow down so she could stop cutting me and making me bleed. Then she clipped my pinky toe nail too far and that bleed as well. I’m not very pleased with spending almost $100 to leave with wounds from your technician. I didn’t receive any concern from the staff regarding my complaint. Just told that will be $97 for your services today. This is very disappointing. I would love to say I would recommend your salon to someone else but I’m not sure I will be. Once I got home I realized the sides of my nails are NOT painted as well as my nails are not filed all the way. Perhaps that was because of the cuts the tech cause which prevented her from filing them once filled but I’m not the professional. But I do know it is not safe per osha guide lines. kate l They were extremely rude to my grandma. They refused to do any type of design and said it was “too much” when it was the simplest design they could ask for. The boss called out the lady that was doing my grandma’s nails which I appreciate. The one doing my grandma’s nails, got very rough and rude while the boss and the person doing my grandmas nails, were going back and forth. The nails also broke after not even having them for a week. My grandma high tipped everyone that touch and her daughter after being treated that way too only because she felt bad for them. I go to a high end professional to get my nails done and they never only last under a week.

Natisha Henry This place is awful and i will not be back. I got a $30 pedicure and brung my own gel polish. They charged me $50. I asked why and they said 15 for gel and 5 for scrubbing my feet. I was pissed and this place is horrible. On top of scamming me on the bill, the person who did my pedicure was rough and wasnt even going to scrub my feet with scrub stuff and that is the main thing about a pedicure. I do not recommend this place not even to my dog.

COURTNEY SCOTT I’ve been going to this salon on and off for 5yrs when I can get in with my sister who also does nails. The owner was nice, funny, and professional which is why I returned each time. Today, my services felt rushed. I was the only person getting my nails done beside a woman getting a pedicure. I chose a solid nude(matte) with a shiny tip. Most of my nails came out fine but there were a few that had imperfections within the foundation of the powdered acrylic, because (I’m assuming) a thin layer was applied so after it was buffed out it appeared to not be a solid base nude but it was smooth. I asked if it was anything he could do to fix it, maybe with a rhinestone or something to hide it. He proceeded to assure me that it wasn’t that bad. Despite me not being happy, and him knowing I wasn’t, he still took my money without further accommodations. I called him and expressed my concern, and his words were, YOU PICKED THE POWDER, I DIDNT. ITS THE POWDER! YOU JUST WANT A DISCOUNT. Mind you, money is and has NEVER BEEN AN ISSUE! I just wanted good quality nails and service. It’s Mother’s Day weekend. I haven’t had my nails done is forever and I just wanted them to be right. I won’t be returning!

Christine Craig While in from out of town, I needed a nail repair and a manicure. I am very particular about my nail designs and have gone through enough technicians who can do good manicures but cant do good designs. After reading the reviews I chose Royal Nails. I was still skeptical about the talent but to my surprise and delight Bella gave me the design I wanted and am very pleased with. She is not only technically excellent, but she understands how good, miniature art works. I would highly recommend this place and Bella!

Jody Oehmke I was unable to make an appointment with my usual place...I had a timeline to remain on...so I decided to try another nail salon... what a lovely place and I had an amazing experience with Miss. Tina.... she blended the coral pink acrylic I had done in the Bahamas with a more natural pink and gave me a lovely French tip. The whole staff was friendly and the work is quality and done efficiently. The salon is clean and the energy and vibe was relaxing. The lovely Miss Tina gave me a new client special and supplied me with a rewards card...$5 off the 10th service...and the price was right. I definitely will be coming back to see Miss Tina and I appreciate the good business practices that can be rare to find these days...a little gem.

The Simple Things RUN DONT WALK! I called earlier today for me and my family to come by. It was originally supposed to be 4 of us but we had two more join. The nail techs were so nice and accommodated for all 6 of us. We had our elderly grandmother with us and the nail tech even helped her get out of her seat after her pedicure was done to take her to the manicure station. The ladies were thorough, quick, and friendly they did an absolutely amazing job! Just four of them completed two sets of acrylic manicures, 1 gel pedicure , 3 men pedicures, and 2 regular nail color pedicures in about two hours. Considering how fast they worked you’d think our nails would be questionable but that was not the case at all. My nails and my friends nails came out AMAZING! I would give more stars but I can only give 5. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you will not be disappointed. I’m going here for now on they are so professional and sweet and they didn’t make it seem like they just wanted my money they were all about the excellent customer service. When it was time for me to pay she even slowly calculated the price of each person so I knew the total was correct. If you want amazing nails and excellent customer service BOOK NOW!

Therese Booe This was the best nail salon & spa that I have ever been to! All the girls are so kind & sweet. Everyone is so good at what they do. I got my eyelashes & eyebrows waxed by Kim. She was incredibly fast & she did my eyelashes so beautifully. They are perfectly applied & I don’t even feel them because she did such a good job! She did my eyebrows so quickly that I didn’t feel any pain! I got my nails done by Allie, I didn’t know what I wanted so Allie came up with the design all on her own, she is so creative! She did the nails beautifully! Everyone is so professional & talented! Five stars!!

Chambers of Care This place is hit or miss. The last 4 times have been total miss, and Im finished with coming here and cant recommend. Firstly I had an ombre full set put on and all the nails were mishapened, dented, too thick, too thin. 3 of them needed to be replaced in a week. The next visit was to take the nails off and to do a mani and Pedi. They put my entire hands in bags filled with harsh nail polish remover. My hands are still recovering. Then every nail was done terribly without all acrylic being removed and an abrasive manicure overall. I had to return a few hours later and have someone else remove the acrylic properly. Next time I specifically requested no machine or scraping be done on cuticles but to have them cut. Which alot of places cut corners and dont do it. An English speaking worker , forget her name, came and did it for me and it was a great manicure. But my pedicure was done with polish that was obviously no good because it wouldnt full dry. Now today I start before I even sit down to repeat that I want the cuticles cut, only cut. She starts using the machine, ignoring me and saying " file then cut " ... I said it again , she repeated herself. Then the polish I originally wanted was obviously expired but the tech didnt admit that herself and correct the issue even tho it was obvious . I had to finally stop her. Lyn came over and blamed it on being neon color and then said all neons like this, which isnt true as Ive used these colors for years. Then she said its happening because its expired maybe... But only after I was told to pick another color that also looked expired. There were a lot of bottles which appeared to have gone bad. When the same thing happened I objected and told her to clean my nails completely off. I was done. I got up to pay and asked them to take something off since I couldnt get them painted. They insist its same price polish or not, but obviously I wanted polish and couldnt complete the service because of their expired products and bad service. They made every excuse. Not only do I come weekly, I always tip well. I was prepared to walk out without paying and let them call police... My cuticles and nail and skin are all damaged. Definitely didnt get the service I wanted and was forced to pay for! You can see for yourself the polish on my pedicure was expired. And you can see the nails look worse than when I came in. The photos prove the cuticles werent cut and abrasive techniques were used. As well, nothing is sterilized or opened new which is legally required, it is very unhygenic in there.

Shari Bentzel Bong gave me a French manicure for my birthday on a Friday. When I left, she told me to come back if anything went wrong. On Monday they started chipping so I called and she immediately got me in and redid four of them, and added fresh clear polish over ALL of them, including cuticle oil. She sent me on my way and told me to come back if anything else went wrong! APPRECIATE this excellent customer service!!!

Katrina De Leon This is my first time writing a bad review about a small business. I made an appointment for 9:45 AM and didn’t get started til 10:10 AM. I am on a time crunch and for this to happen is already not a good sign. I asked for a mani pedi. Pedi was good. No complain about that. However, they cut my fingers while the nail artist is drilling and filling my left hand. Cuts shown on pictures. I originally wanted a french tip, but she suggested to do a full nail color to hide the bleeding. She also didn’t apply acrylic well on my middle finger in my right hand. It’s crooked and not the same color as the other fingers. Update: They deleted my review. Don’t be deceived by the 4.6/5 stars.

Everyone is very nice and there’s good hospitality as they go around and ask people if they want anything to drink and have water and soda to give out. Mindy Klein Only getting one star because the young gentleman who greets did a good job on my daughters’ friend nails. I’m going to be honest I NEVER write reviews because it’s a waste of time IMO no one is going to care. But I am pretty upset about this. We showed up as a walk in. My daughter and her friend had a sleep over and asked to get their nails done for v day. They just wanted to relax. We went to this shop before and the gentleman up front did a good job and was very good with my 11 year old daughter. So we came back. We showed them a picture. My daughter sat down with the older woman in the second row all the way closest to the wall. I don’t know her name, didn’t even want to ask or I probably would have ended up having to argue with her because she was rude. Not worth the time to me. She started my daughter’s nails, acrylic and all well, they were way too long. No big deal just wanted them cut down. My daughter looked back at me scared to say anything so I walked over and told the woman that my daughter’s nail’s are too long. Someone else said it’s not a problem to cut them down before polish but the woman doing her nails said nothing and continued to file them. When she was done she lightly filed them with a hand file and said “are these short enough?” They were the same length. She did have an attitude and but I said no those are still way too long she’s is in elementary school and needs them short they were double the size they are in the pics and my daughter is a young lady. She made a weird nod like she had a problem so I said “is that a problem?” She said no and I said “oh I just wanted to make sure because you nodded your head in a weird way like it was”. So she jerks out the file and starts mechanically filing them down. At some point my daughter just felt she was being rough so she agreed the length was ok even though they are still too long. What am I suppose to keep telling her they’re too long? How did the other gentleman get her friends nails length right and she didn’t? After she was rude it would have just made it worse and more uncomfortable to keep saying something. Flash forward to buffing her nails, she was literally buffing her nails SO HARD that my daughter was in pain, when my daughter would turn towards me she jerked her arms and I know she was doing it purposefully. Then she started painting the nails, she put no base gel coat on, I know you need a base coat before ANY DESIGNS because it bleeds the design into the cuticle and acrylic otherwise. I’ve done and had my nails done for YEARS. She did the French tip and did NOT clean up any of the white after smearing it all over the cuticles of her nails. Started to do a totally different design then what my daughters friend pic showed for both of them said she wanted them like her friend next to us. Who’s nails were perfectly done by the gentleman. She also didn’t like that. So she scribbled a heart on the nail even though it wasn’t what they asked for and I got charged 66$ per set for them. Even though I watched a girl get charged 35$ for a full set with chrome gel almond shape right as we walked in. Thats neither here nor there I wouldn’t mind the money if the service was good but it was just a horrible experience. My daughter almost brought to tears. I get my nails and toes done EVERY THREE WEEKS, lol for YEARS now and I’ve never seen someone so disrespectful and not accommodating to a CHILD. Or in a business at all. Sloppy, rude and out of line. So we won’t be coming back here neither will anyone I know. I have about 40k followers who are going to hear about this too, I can promise that. Ps. I added a pic of her friend’s nails just for reference. Worst experience I’ve had and that’s unfortunate.

Caitlin Bartlett I had a very painful experience as he hit my cuticles several times with the nail drill and filed the sides of my nails to the skin. My nails are uneven and look very unprofessional. I would not consider having them fix them as I have open skin around my cuticles. I am very disappointed, especially for the price. I wanted to share here so people can make an informed decision. I was excited to try this place based on positive reviews and pictures. I just did not receive the same level of service others have shared.

Nicole Sadusk Wow, the push to upsell is crazy. I went in for a fill and a pedicure. I do not like gel polish on my toes and the tech would not take no for an answer, it was an argument to get regular polish on my toes. And she only showed me a very limited choice of colors and told me the color I wanted, glittery red was only available in gel. So I got plain red on my toes. The tech that did my fill did a good job but what do you know, when he took out the red glitter gel polish there was the same color in regular polish with it. So these people straight up lie to your face to try to get you to spend more money. I told the tech doing my nails that I was lied to and not happy w the pedicure and not even an apology, his response was gel is better. I don’t think I’ll be going back.

Britney McFarlane I got my nails done week before last Monday, and within one week, they started falling off. I returned to the salon, and they fixed them, but unfortunately, two nails fell off after. I simply don’t have the time to go back to fix a nail especially after paying $70 for the set. The nails looked great, but after this experience, this will be my first and last time getting my nails done there.

Lynn Starcher I just moved to Daytona and this was my first attempt at finding a nail salon. I chose Haly because of the good reviews but unfortunately I was super disappointed! I was there for almost 2 hours which is completely unacceptable. There was a problem so a couple a my nails had to be redone. The woman was very apologetic which I appreciated but before I left I asked her if the nails were dry in which she said yes. As soon as I got to my car I noticed my thumb was in fact still wet and it got messed up. I debated about going back in to complain but they already wasted so much of my time. I wish I never would have tipped because Ill never go back. I dont recommend this place.

I’ve been in Daytona for 3 years now and completely stopped getting my nails done because I could not find a good location.. until now. My nails and toes are shaped and filed to the T! Alexandra Franchella I must first applaud this salon’s attention to cleanliness, as they take a few extra precautions that other salons do not. On the negative side, my manicurist injured me during my simple dip manicure, nicking me multiple times with haste and leaving a very deep cut on my index finger. The day after my manicure, I am noticing more evidence of nicks and imperfections in the nail job. The manicurist paid good attention to detail, however I did spend much longer than was customary for a dip removal + application. After almost two hours, I left quite discouraged and did not feel that I would return to this salon.

S K The pros are that this place is beautiful, the check in process was very friendly and efficient and it’s easy to get an appointment. The negatives are that it is very expensive, and I went in for a service where I asked for a color by number, showed him the color, and he painted an entirely wrong color I hate. When he asked if I liked the color, I said does the sparkle come after? And he’s like why didn’t you tell me it was wrong and I said because it looked like a base color to the sparkle I had chosen. He got an attitude and said this is what you asked for, I insisted on showing him the book where there was no other color by that number and, in fact, the color I had asked for correctly was the only one by that number and looked nothing like what he painted on me. I was very polite but he had an attitude with me and tried to make it as though his mistake was my fault. He finally asked if I wanted it repainted clearly not wanting to do that and I said no because I had already been there over an hour at that point, let’s just get this over with and not wanting to waste any more of his time because I was already unhappy with the service and the outcome. He finally apologized and when it was clear I was not happy he tried to do the rest of the pedicure I guess and put oil on me for a massage. I said no thank you at this point and have never had someone try to massage you after the pedicure is done so it was just awkward. So no massage, no paraffin, a color that looks like a blank base, and they charged me $50. No opportunity to speak to a manager and no concession for a terrible pedicure. Will not be back.

katie crouch They do the absolute bare minimum and charge the same prices. I had a dip manicure done, they put on the wrong color and didn’t fix it. Had a pedicure done and they didn’t do the soak before starting, and rushed me out before letting my toes dry. Will not be going back.

BA Fisher I got a Lemon Deluxe pedicure and a no polish manicure today. Ly Ly did an awesome job! She is very meticulous. Her leg, foot and hand massages are outstanding! Ive had large, hard, lumps in the back of my calves for months and couldnt get rid of them. Ly Ly got rid of them! I was putty in her hands! My cuticles were done exceedingly well. She paid full attention to detail with them and kept going back until they were perfect. And when she dried my feet--she even dried between my toes! First time EVER! For those of us with sweaty feet, that is a BIG deal! I highly recommend Ly Ly! She goes the extra mile and ensures that her clients are well cared for!

Karina Garcia I went to get my nails done like any other time, acrylic fill with gel & a pedicure( also with gel). Mind you , i am the easiest person to work with i do simple polishes and Im typically to my self. The lady who started my nails was so rude when i was trying to find a certain polish color. She kept telling me she didn’t know what i wanted and kept walking away from where the nail polishes were. She later didn’t finish my nails but had the man who’s usually there finish. He was rushy and finished off for her. When i did my toes, i had a nice young lady Emma finish off my toes she was wonderful i had no complaints. Later that night my pinky toe had chipped polish and my real nails have been separated from the acrylics. I went back and they fixed both these. The man was rude telling me the polish was gel & that it shouldn’t have chipped. Well a week later the nail polish chipped off and the acrylic nail broke too. So not only were they rude but did a terrible job with my nails and i spend a good amount of money to be treated so poorly. I won’t be returning. Pictures below

I REALLY wish I could have her for my regular hairdresser. Zelda is a very lovely, interesting person and the shop is small and nice. The negative comments are ridiculous.

Marilyn Willhoit Ive been a manicure-pedicure customer for 30+ years. 10 years ago Zelda went back to school to learn hair cut, color and design. Shes excellent at both! I have short, naturally curly hair I wear symmetrically and Zelda does a great job. I even took up her suggestion that I add a touch of purple to my deep red hair with a swath of black color and I love it! Given that Im 72 years old, its a daring move! And I would never have thought of doing so myself! Im definitely not ready to be the natural grey haired old lady!!!

Domminique Kinnie I was on vacation when I broke a nail. I arrived to find the salon closed. She explained when I called the number on the door she was by appointment only and was completely booked. I explained the situation and she was willing to fit me in. I’m from Chicago and they do great nails there. Zelda’s work was amazing, timely, professional, and comparable to Chicago nail salons. Prices were super reasonable and affordable. I could’ve easily paid close to double what she charged me to get a full set with two nails decorated with rhinestones in Chicago. I will definitely book an appointment and come visit her when we visit Daytona Beach next summer.

The main reason I get pedicures is to relieve pain from my ingrown toenails , my technician butchered my toes and I was in pain the entire time. Despite my reactions he didn’t stop and somehow managed after all that to not even remove them? It’s been Mabye a week and a half and my feet are still in pain not to mention the gel manicure I received has already started peeling off of several nails and completely off of one. I should have said something but I finished at closing and didn’t want to deal with it all that late. Overall this is the first and last time I will visit this salon, 85$ down the drain.

Brewer Marie “New Yorks Girl” I went here because I was told it would cost me 35 total to have my nails done. Within 3 days one of my nails broke and it took her over an hour to even do my nails. I dont recommend this place to anyone. They truly suck. And charge you more then your told on the phone.also the design she did is coming off with gel nails. Tech filed my nails much even though I asked to file gently and was told thats how it’s gonna be for the dip powder however that’s all I used to get( the dip powder ) in the past and the tech was gentle. Cailiosa Dempsey First experience there was 10/10 unfortunately the second was not. I got a fill and asked them to shorten it a little bit and and he shortened pretty much 3/4 of the nail. I was getting a design and the poor kid tried but it was so god awful I had him just paint them all one color. Absolutely will not be back. Waste of my money. Needed them for a photo session now they’re ugly. I think it 100% depends who you get at this salon. Nail polish completely uneven and bubbles. Literally cried in the car. Will not be back

Ashley Cooper Horowitz I wanted to like this place. It was conveniently located, staff were nice, felt clean, easy to make appointments. The two regular gel manicures (on natural nails) I got here previously all lifted within 2 weeks. Tried one more time yesterday with a full set. The nail shape is fine but that is about it. When asked if they could clean up the gel polish on my skin I was told, “it’ll come off when you scrub your hands”. We’re talking three to four fingers on each hand with polish. Once I was in the car in different lighting and my hands had fully dried since washing them, I realized just how awful my cuticles looked. No care was taken to them. Almost as if that part of a manicure wasn’t included in getting a full set? Is cuticle care/trimming separate? I don’t think anyone should have to scrub polish off of their fingers or take cuticle clippers to clean up the mess after they get home. It wasn’t even that busy yesterday when I was there. It had been much busier the first two times I went. Unfortunately, the search for a good nail salon continues.

Krista So, Im usually not the type to leave these reviews, but I feel like I have to speak about this. I asked for a black French tip with a heart accent on two nails, which to start before tip cost me around $85. Although that wouldnt be a problem for a quality acrylic full set, I would not describe my nails like that. I have two different fingers that were bleeding because of the dremel that they used, my cuticals and skin were ripped on 4 different nails with pieces just hanging off. My nails are so uneven, I have big bulges on some nails where they just werent filed down right, and I have scuffs of paint that I asked to be fixed that were not. The underside of a few of my nails also just had acrylic stuck underneath that never got filed out. The mistakes, scuffs, and painting problems probably came from when they swapped nail technicians twice when they left me sitting for 20 minutes while assisting someone else. My nails were not drying, they just wanted to take another person in the middle of my set. When I did have someone else come to help me because of the wait, they refused to even look at my reference photos and painted my nails sloppily without even letting me look at them before snapping at me to put my hands under the uv lamp. I ended up paying over $90 for the set and I was devastated, when I went to talk to the manager, he gave me back my tip and took $5 off. This is a set I wouldnt pay more than $60 for. I am so devastated, I loved this spa but Im so disappointed by this visit.

BAILEY HEDGCOCK ( READ BEFORE SCHEDULING OR WALK INS) Terrible terrible experience. Of course I wanted to schedule with OT. He was busy so the lady at the front desk sat me down and started doing nails. First off the lady at the front desk cannot even do nails. I wanted a purple ombre set she said for those nails it would cost $100. I can already tell by the way she was applying my tips that the nails I showed her would not the nails I would get. I am not paying $100 for rushed work. So I got a basic nude set French tips. To get started she had to redo my thumb three different times because it was so crooked and yet she did not acknowledge Nor care after asking her to fix it the first time she files it down and completely ruined the shape I told her this is going to need a whole new tip the thumbs do not match she finally glues on a new one which is still crooked. She finally re-does it the third time and gets it. After she starts gluing all the tips, she rushes through drilling my nails, which burned. I know Filing with a drill bit can burn, sometimes due too sensitive nails. But she did not slow down nor care. After it was finally time for her to apply the acrylic, she uses a one bead method for my whole entire nail bed my nails have never BURNED SO BAD like that before and I was so disappointed at that point I wanted to get up and walk out. As as you can see in the picture, nails are facing upward shooting towards the sky. When getting acrylic nails, they should be laid flat against your nail bed I paid $75 and did not tip these nails do not even look complementing to the hand. This really had me wanting to see her NAIL LICENSE. Its aggravating coming here expecting the work you see in the photos and come out with over prices botches nail...

Maya Jade Got my nails done 10 days ago. I asked for the bloody design and she couldn’t do it, so I settled for black with orange tips. Fast forward to today, the nails are chipped and look awful. I came in and explained that my nails shouldn’t be in such bad shape after only ten days, so Mr.Truong said he will fix them for me and only charge me for the design. When he was finished I was STILL not happy with the nails, AND he had the nerve to charge me full price. I will NEVER be back. Good job screwing over a loyal customer for $200!

Jean Waters I have been a client of Java Nails for many years. It is usually one of the best experiences of my week. All the nail techs do a great job. They are friendly and well trained. Over the years I have taken family and friends there as a special treat. Everyone has a relaxing time and leaves feeling special. The owner pays close attention to cleanliness and a soothing environment. I just love going there. Ivy is the best and she really tries to please her clients.

B L Extremely unprofessional. We waited over 35 minutes and have not 1 but 2 people walk in and receive service immediately. One people yelled "eyebrows" and they stopped with the person they were working with to accommodate the yelling impatient customer. Then another person walked in and said "manicure" and they immediately seated him. We informed them that we have been waiting and then they said "oh, sorry, you can sit". We just walked out. With complete unprofessional workers, we will not give them service or recommend them. Extremely toxic smells the minute you walk in the door too. The equipment is old and coats of dust all over the seats. Look at the seats they sit on to work on you, covered in dust. Filthy. Horribly managed.

Wanda Miller I purchased a gift card for a friend in an attempt to generate more business for them. My friend gave it back unused a month prior to expiration. I had major surgery and didnt get into Nails 4 U until after it expired. I was offended that after giving them my business for 2 years and then trying to generate additional business for them they wouldnt honor it. Afterall, it was paid for and didnt cost them anything. Lesson: No good deed goes unpunished. A smart business savvy owner would realize that was a poor business decision. They took the money for that one un-used visit but lost all future business from me and my gift cards. I even attempted to explain it but all the owner, Lena, could say was "we are small"! That was my point! A small company needs to be customer oriented. Penny wise, pound foolish! Service and Quality? They are average, nothing special, same price as anyplace else in the area.

Terri Silvia Tee is the sweetest person. Very meticulous about the services she provides. The salon is very clean. The price is reasonable. Ive been to more nail salons in Daytona, than I care to remember. This place puts them all to shame. Even the over priced, fancy tourist traps, cant hold a candle to Tee and this salon.

Tanya Andersen I was in Daytona on vacation and it rained most of our stay so we had to come up with things to do when we couldn’t be at the beach so my mother in law and I decided to get our nails done. I am so happy we picked this place! The pedicure was phenomenal! Her attention to detail was next level. I am pretty picky about my nails but here she saw things to correct that even I didn’t see. She gave a relaxing and soothing leg and foot massage and the end result was really great. Then I got nails with acrylic. They came out incredible. This was a different worker but also the same level of attention to detail. They make you feel like they really appreciate you as a customer and treat you like royalty, asking if they can get you anything to drink, making sure you’re comfortable, and making sure that you are happy with the work every step of the way.

Chris Strader My son bought me a gift card for Christmas from here, he was told that the gift card was enough for a dip manicure and a pedicure. I went and got a dip manicure only and was charged $55. Now I only have $20 left for a pedicure. Nail polish was very thick when he applied it and looked lumpy like it was drying up. A week later the polish started coming off. I had to polish them with my polish. The gentleman was not friendly at all, never even told me his name. I think he was the owner/managers husband. He did not listen when I told him how I wanted my nails shaped, I told him round and he made them pointed. Had to file them down myself. I wish I could find a nail salon that would do what you ask them to do. The shop was not very clean either. Have to keep looking. So very frustrating.

Nichole Newnum I came in to have my nails done yesterday, and I let the gentleman know that he was shaving my nails down to thin that for my work they couldn’t be that thin because I own a tree company And he told me that I shouldn’t work so hard then So I called the owner over and I said hey he’s filing them to thin. They can’t be that thin for what I do for a living and she said then you’re gonna have to get a new set. Not to mention when I tried to voice that they were going to be too thin the gentleman that was working there behind me got very aggressive about the way he was telling me there’s nothing they can do about it. It was very uncomfortable. It was in front of other customers it was very unprofessional. I’ve gone there plenty of times and given plenty of my money to this place, I shouldn’t have been treated that way and I shouldn’t have had to feel that way in front of other customers That’s not true my nails were thick enough. I was getting them too thin and today is the next day and several of them have already broken. I paid $120 including the tip and I don’t think that it’s right that when I called them to tell them that my nails had shipped that they Told me that I would have to pay for that and it’s not even been 24 hours since I’ve gotten them done

Came in wanting to get a full set and once completed, I notice some fabric on my nails. I informed the tech by the name of Tim, and he got an attitude as if he had to do extra work. Wynnie Absolutely terrible service. Went in with my natural healthy nails, asked for builder gel on top, they told me $75 and then another $10 for a regular gel polish. Thats a little much in my experience but I was willing to let them. They rushed through the service, filled my nails way too thin, and in less than 12 hours I had a nail ripped off. They dont do refunds and insulted me when I asked for my money back. Theyve ruined 8 month of nail growth in two hours.

Raccine Maughn I went to get my eyelashes done. Only my eyelashes and I expressed that I only wanted my eyelashes done. The lady name Vivian I believe she says she’s the owner insisted upon tinting my eyebrows without letting me know the cost upfront. My eyelashes look horrible and my eyebrows were a complete waste of both or time and my money. With a 10% discount I paid $74. And for what I don’t know because nothing was done properly. At least be able to deliver the service properly if y’all are going to be robbing ppl like this. Eyelashes don’t look good and this eyebrow tint that I didn’t ask for doesn’t look good either.

Susan Fischer The people here are very friendly. They do a pretty good job. Yesterday I got a pedicure with some extra added items, like a bomb soak and some leg massage scrub and creams. I was told it was $38 total. I also got a fingernail dip which is beautiful. This was $38 also, but when I went to check out, I was told the pedicure was an additional $12 for gel nail polish. So, it ended up costing me $100 for everything including tip. The one problem I have over the $100 cost is that my fingers are sore from the sanding and filing of my fingernails. All in all, they do a good job, but my fingers hurt now when I put them in water. Hopefully this pain will subside soon.

Nancy P January 2025: Aloha Nail Bar is a small nail salon rather hidden in the Bellair Plaza on North Atlantic Avenue. The only attached signage on the building is "Nails". If we hadnt been shopping at Marshalls, we wouldnt have noticed it. There is a temporary banner that has the salons name in smaller print. The shop appeared clean. I even looked behind the pedicure chairs to assess cleanliness. The general decor lacks a sense of cohesive theme. There is also a feeling of clutter, prehaps to facilitate the job at hand. Most importantly, I have the best pedicure that Ive ever had. My technicians name was Heidi. She worked meticulously, going back again and again to perfect every detail. I have pedicures regularly and travel about 5-6 months a year, thus frequently trying out new salons. Im not an expert on pedicure standards or cosmetology rules, but Im very happy with the service I received. This review has been based on my personal experience.

I would never come here before bc it wasnt clean but now Steven the owner has done his magic and the place is great. Highly recommend Diamond if you want an amazing manicure. Carol A Asamoah I looked this establishment up as a last minute decision to have my nails done. They are not big on advertising their location, but they are also not difficult to find on the web. Free parking! Did not know if I needed to make an appointment or if they accepted walk-ins until I got to the front door. Walking in I was amazed at the immediate attention and service I got. I was greeted with a hello, a smile and asked what I needed to have done, professionally. I asked if there was a wait (there were other customers in the shop) the young man responded we can take you now. My technician was Holly. Very pleasant, professional, she seated me immediately, asking what I wanted to drink and what colors I wanted. I loved the fact that I told her what colors I wanted and she got them. There was no standing at a wall trying to decide for myself. This for me is a big PLUS. I was provided a booklet to make a select of what services I wanted...I selected #2 pedicure/gel polish with my manicure. Im extremely pleased with the service, the attention to detail and the professionalism I received. Their prices as well as the service were fantastic! While Im not big on conversations in my business ventures, when I asked a question, it was received well and answered. There was absolutely nothing "rude" about any of the employees behavior in this establishment. Ive frequented many nail salons in my travels and Aloha Nail Bar ranks up there in the top 10 with their prices, professionalism and service. When Im in town again, I will be sure to stop in, again. Rachell Gonzalez I asked for acrylic nails fill with ombre design. While getting my nails done, the nail tech says “ill add diamonds to one finger” no extra price on it. She was not too gentle during the process and barely spoke to tell me what she needed me to do, just kept pushing my hands around. Ended up adding more diamonds without asking. I didn’t want to stay longer so i let it be. When i went to pay she charged me $95 just for a acrylic nails fill not including tip. Usually I pay $50-60 total for the same request, same size of nails including tip. She charged me $15 for design and $10 extra for “removal” which there was no removal it was a fill. And the rest in price was for the ombre nails overall. When i asked about price she was visibly upset and walked away rolling her eyes at me while the supervisor assisted. He only discounted $5. I did not argue and just paid but I will never go back after this service and will not recommend any one to go there.. she did a poor job for the price being charged and the nail acrylic was over my actual finger skin on some of my nails. Not filed correctly and acrylic is thick on nails. Overall bad service, bad nails, terrible pricing. I would not mind paying this price for better crafted nails! This was just terrible and ugly. She wanted me to remember her name so badly while doing my nails, so I could come back..her name is Leslie. Do not recommend **

Celina Eddy What a wonderful experience! I got the rose gold CBD pedicure, and it was heaven! I also got the dip powder set and it came out perfect. The ladies were nice and friendly. They do excellent work. Highly recommend.

Samantha Zinn I have been going to Venus Nails for 7 years!! I have been going to Lucas for 6 of those years and he does a phenomenal job on my nail sets and pedicures every time. I have also had nails done by Jay and one of the ladies there and both were great! I will never stray away because I’ve been getting my nails done since I was 15 y.o. Just the pink like I made the appointment for. This isn’t the first time I’ve been charged differently for the same service. But it will be the last.

Romania B My experience at this establishment was absolutely terrible. If your skin tone is darker, you can expect to receive no customer service at all. The owner is incredibly rude and lacks professionalism. She rushes through the service, and if you’re unhappy with the outcome, she yells and gives you an attitude. If I could give zero stars, I would. Please stay away from this place.

Natalie did my eyebrow and lashes she rude and catch an attitude when you criticize how you want it. Then when I called to leave a complaint they hung up the phone in my face. They charge to much and not even good or clean I won’t be returning.

New Beginnings I am new to the area and went in to get my nails done and had Richard as my stylist. He did an absolutely phenomenal job. He was gentle with my nails, they are smooth with no bubbles and completed too perfection. This is by far my most favorite set and my new favorite nail tech. Thank you so much❤️

Gabrielle Owens Second time my right toes were cut too short! Both times said something to the guy at the register and showed the MASSIVE shape and cut difference. Today told the guy doing them “DO NOT CUT SHE DID IT TOO SHORT LAST TIME” he didn’t cut but filed all the way down on my right side. Supper dissatisfied and definitely not worth it! Also $55 pedicure with two little hearts that are not drawn well is $80 will not be back been coming for 2 years lost my service! I do like the new chairs tho.

Carolyn Green Ok listen I just moved back to Florida and Ive been coming here first few visits were ok but this last visit was a nightmare, I am a diabetic and they had a guy there that did not know what he was doing filing my nails n its burning so someone else had to fix his mess so I wake up the next day and my pointing finger on my right hand is thrombin and its very swollen and sore. I will not be going back staff is short and some are not experienced at all I asking for a full refund or I will contact my lawyer, if you would like to know further details speak to my attorney, I also recorded how long I was there and very unprofessional services, I wasnt satisfied with pedicure or manicure at all and will not recommend you all ever again.

Krissi Faith *Please like & share our reviews* Wheelchair accessible except for the eyelash area. Came here specifically for a gal named Amy to do my eyelashes but she was not here. My friend got a full set of lashes and eyebrow tint and shaping. I simply did the eyelashes. Amy was not on duty and the gal who did our lashes did not even ask what I was wanting. Because I am a professional, I do not care for extra long, thick eyelashes and I let the eyelash tech know this. She didnt seem to hear me. Gave me the longest lashes. She ended up offering to trim them because of my reaction, which was appreciated because I probably would have removed them the moment I arrived home. Was not a huge fan but was not displeased however, I probably will not return. The bedding doesnt seem hygienic either. They seem to do extra amazing work on the pedicure stations and nails. They spent a lot of time on the folks who were there and didnt rush clients out the door. If I return, it would be for that. *Tip: Do not bother making an appointment, they do not really do them but act like it on the phone. The prices seem to change person to person. For my eyelashes I paid 35 and addtl 5 for tip. My friend did eyebrow waxing, tint, full lashes and paid 65.

Lisa Price I am convinced that these people do not know what they are doing. I’m new to Florida and I live in Daytona Beach. I went to get new license in the building where this nail salon is located. The same day we left my husband and I went out to dinner and he noticed one of my nail’s the color had peeled completely off. I forgot to mention I asked for black matte with shiny tips. This man said he knew what he was doing and the shiny tip he put down to the side and polished extremely sloppy. Anyway, I went back the next day to have them fixed and long and behold later that night another nail started to peel and my toe nails as well. I have never experienced anything like this since I’ve been getting my nails done in the early 90’s $100 down the drain. Upon looking at the reviews these people need to pack up and close. This is just ridiculous! I will never ever come back. In fact they did such a horrible job I’m going to learn how to do nails. This is such an embarrassment. Tia Steward I wanted my old set taken off and the guy was about to give me a fill in and when I told him I wanted a new full set he seemed to have an attitude about. He then proceeded to use this tool to rip off the acrylic from my nails without soaking. When he got to my left hand he made my pointer finger bleed so bad that when he got the rest of the nail off I got up and left the salon. I will never go back here. I should’ve known something was wrong when I saw only 2 people working during the afternoon when it’s suppose to be busy

J Tee I went to this place because it was local, I had stopped by earlier to ask the price for regular manicure ( my own nails) with french tips. The price quoted was $20 but the owner said she would give me a better price when I come in. The woman didn’t have pink I wanted for the nails so I had to settle for flesh tone, she did a horrible job & charged me $30!!! When I said No because that was not the price quoted, she got very loud & stern… insisting on the money, finally I gave her $25 but was very displeased! DON’T TRUST THESE PEOPLE, they should never be in business !!

Sue Stocks Incredibly rude, unprofessional, rough, bait and switch. I went in with a friend while our kids were at hockey practice next door - she wanted a pedicure and I currently had dip on my nails and wanted a dip manicure. When I requested that, they said no problem and we both sat down. The woman there did my friends pedicure and the man there did my nails (there was noone else there). When I first sat down he took out cuticle nippers and started to try to pick the dip off of my nails which is the complete incorrect way to remove it! I stopped him and told him that my nails were very thin from using gel polish for so long and thats why I had dip on them (to protect them), and he needed to soak it off to remove it properly. He did, and then started to apply acrylic to my nails. I stopped him and said that I wanted dip, not acrylic. Both employees persisted to try to convince me that I needed acrylic and that dip wasnt good for thin nails (I know thats not true from my regular nail tech at home). He told me that he couldnt do dip because he didnt have the materials, although I saw them right there next to me on the shelf. He tried to tell me that he didnt have the bonder, only the powder. I told him that he shouldve told me when I first arrived before he even touched my nails that they couldnt accommodate my request, as I specifically asked for dip powder. At first I stopped him and said Id just get nothing, but then decided to just get a regular manicure. All along they are trying to convince me to get acrylic and being very rude, pushy and argumentative. I explained the reasons I didnt like acrylics (Im very familiar - I wore them for years) which included how thick they were and the maintenance of getting them filled - and he said that he could do them very thin and natural and theyd last a month (I know thats not true). I reluctantly agreed to give it a try. I shouldve known better and shouldve stopped there. He rushed through, made them VERY thick, and ended up cutting my cuticle until it bled with his drill. I pulled away and said "ouch!" and he didnt even apologize. He rushed through the gel topcoat and when I left didnt realize that they werent completely cured and were sticky, let alone how thick and awful they looked. They charged me $50 for this when the dip manicure I initially requested (and they said no problem before I sat down) wouldve been $35. I now will be returning to my regular nail tech close to home asking him to remove this mess from my nails and do what I initially asked for, hoping my nails underneath are not completely destroyed.

Kevin Barrett BEWARE! Jennifer did a horrible job on my wife’s eyelashes and she refused to remove them or provide a refund. She was extremely rude! I would not recommend using them for any service! My wife had to pay someone else to remove the eyelashes and they said she must have used something other than lash glue because it was like super glue.

2much2 Saytoday The service itself was good, but from check-in to checkout, there was so much to be desired. The appointment system is not really legitimate. When I checked in on the tablet, there was no record of my appointment. My husband booked this as a gift, but they had no idea what I was due to receive. When I mentioned that to the receptionist he said thats fine and seated me. When the nail tech arrived to set me up, she too asked what service I was there for; she handed me a menu. Then, she realized the massage chair didnt work and apologized, but made no attempt to move me to a functioning seat. So, I requested a functioning chair. Had I not asked she would have left me right there. When I made it home my husband inquired and asked why I hadnt gotten my nails done also. I didnt know. Thats what an appointment is for. SMH! Again, the service itself was great, but Im pretty sure Ill never go again.

Alyssa Stensberg I have never left a bad review in my life, I’m normally super kind and not very picky but going to Serenity has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with a nail salon. My appointment felt rushed, the lady doing my nails told me she had to go even though I had expressed I was very unhappy with my nails, she told me she couldn’t do the design I was asking for only after it was too late and she was trying to leave. An appointment had been scheduled the next day for them to fix it but I decided to find someone else I trust much more and now they’re demanding I pay $88 and have filed a police report on me for refusing to pay with nails they completely botched and I was extremely unhappy with. I went to Venetian where they only charged $40 to fix them and they turned out EXACTLY like the last two photos I had shown of what I wanted. Needless to say, I will never go back to Serenity and I suggest everyone go to Venetian instead!
