5 /5 Ed Higdon: This is my go to gas station. Only place around that I can get all three grades of unleaded gas without ethanol. That stuff is like poison for your fuel system and provides laughable fuel economy. As a technician on both small engines and automotive, I speak with experience when I tell you that running non-ethanol fuel can save money on repairs and improve fuel economy. Ethanol alcohol will eat through pot metal components and sticks like superglue to other metals, clogging them and rendering them useless, but it also breaks down rubber fuel hose and can cause internal collapse of the hose or a rupture. As the fuel hose collapses, it causes excessive strain on the pump providing an additional means of failure there, as if the hardened crystals arent bad enough. Ask a boat owner or a seasonal hunter who uses an atv. Even ask many owners of gas powered lawn care equipment. Anyone who is knowledgeable about it will tell you the same. I dont use ethanol blended fuel unless I have no other option and even at that, I completely drain all the fuel if I plan to store the vehicle or equipment for any amount of time. The owner here is a nice guy and is more concerned with taking care of his customers.
