5 /5 Shiji George: During our Easter vacation trip from Toronto to Buffalo, we decided to spend a day at the Buffalo Museum of Science—and we’re so glad we did! It turned out to be one of the highlights of our family getaway.
The museum offers the perfect balance of education and fun, especially for families with young children. From the moment we entered, our kids were excited and engaged. There are interactive exhibits, hands-on experiments, and themed sections covering everything from space and dinosaurs to health, energy, and insects.
One of our favorites was the Explorations gallery—a play-and-learn space designed especially for young children, filled with creative stations to explore science through touch, sound, and play. The Bug Works and Rethink Extinct (dinosaur exhibit) were also huge hits!
The museum does a fantastic job of making science approachable and exciting. It’s not just displays—you can touch, build, explore, and interact. Adults will appreciate the historical depth of the museum too.
The staff was friendly, and everything was clean, safe, and easy to navigate. It was the perfect way to spend a few hours together as a family—learning, laughing, and discovering.
If youre traveling with kids or even as curious adults, the Buffalo Museum of Science is absolutely worth a visit.
