5 /5 Leonore Smith: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot thank Hendrick Surgery Center South enough for the incredible care they provided during Zane’s recent procedure. From the moment we arrived, every single staff member went above and beyond to make sure he felt comfortable and supported. Dr. Poorman’s bedside manner was truly exceptional—he showed genuine care and compassion throughout the process. A special thank you to Lori, the pre-op nurse; Dr. McCarty, the anesthesiologist; Chris, the OR nurse; and the amazing RN who went out of their way to make Zane smile by creating a fun “high-five balloon” out of a glove. That small, thoughtful gesture meant so much to Zane and helped ease his nerves. Dr. McCarty also brought some much-needed humor into the day when Zane asked him if he ate chicken nuggets. Moments like that truly helped lighten the mood and make the experience more positive for everyone. The staff also made such a thoughtful gesture by sharing a feeling from Zane’s “feelings blanket,” which truly helped Zane feel more at ease. Their prayers, kindness, and emotional support meant the world to us. Because of their incredible care, Zane is now feeling great and happily enjoying some ice cream and mac & cheese.
